It really was like a festival
The Holiday season was always an extravagant time in Japan, Christmas lights and wreaths hung everywhere either around house doors or fence gates, along with Santa hats, hot cocoa and eggnog. But the most sacred part of the holidays, the Ol Christmas Tree and of course, the Presents!
To one Makoto Naegi, these are just a few elements of what makes Christmas one of his favorite times to celebrate during his Winter break, where most of his classmates and friends are able to get out and spend time with their families or each other's company, himself included when he would be with his Parents and his sister Komaru.
But things were certainly going to be different this Christmas. Especially since he'll be inviting an unusual pair of twins who've managed to become a true influence in his life, in more ways than one.
Honestly to this day he couldn't give a real logical reason on how someone like himself could attract the attention of these two girls in particular when one of them who puts on a mask of apathy and could kill him with nary a flick of her wrist and the other one, despite her extreme beauty has an absurdity and terrifying aura that's capable of driving most men running the other way and not bother looking back. Makoto at first would probably be another one of those men, but in time or in his case loads of times he became not just resilient of her nature but strangely enough, accepting of her true nature if not tolerate it. Probably figures that Makoto and her sister would be the only ones capable enough of enduring her true presence when compared to just about anyone else on the planet. And love, as insane and blinding as it can be blossom in time. And now that love is going to be enduring during this whole winter break, even New Years.
5:18 PM Naegi's House... Makoto was already preparing dinner for Christmas, his mother Hana was really the cooking expert in the family and his younger sister and his Father were always the ones waiting for the food to be finished and brought to the table, he's already the bucket of KFC (honestly he never could believe that they're almost too many KFC stores in their city) chicken for the main course. Served alongside riceballs, sliced salmon, curry and sliced sweet ham. Until the sounds of car horns could be heard from outside
"Komaru-Chan, Mom! Dad! They're here!" Naegi says as the sounds of a limousine parking outside.
TO BE CONTINUED
Yeah It's been a long while since I updated this series and this isn't long enough for now. But yeah I'm starting to lose my drive. So I'll push through this slump and return sooner or later thanks for reading and reviews, criticism and all. Kudos to you guys! :)
Edit: by the way if you're questioning why I included KFC in this chapter well I looked up how Japan celebrates Christmas and apparently since there apparently involves having fried chicken involved for the holiday feast. I will look up again to make sure it's accurate or not, so thanks for reading.
