I Don't own RWBY.

Once again, a big thanks to Katana of the Blade for their episode script.

As the next vision began to play, most of team STRQ had to admit that they were looking forward to seeing how Beacon will have changed in the intervening years. Not that some of them would admit that out loud.

Raven felt insulted for some reason when that thought crossed her teammates minds.

We see a window overlooking Beacon Academy from the new room of Team RWBY, panning over to Weiss sleeping soundly in her bed. Her eyes fluttered open and she stretched her arms above herself, yawning, while Ruby, dressed in her strangely-colored school uniform, crept up on her side and suddenly blew a whistle, causing Weiss to fall off the bed.

"You know," Tai said "I'm very glad none of us ever slept in long enough to give Summer any ideas for waking us up."

"Well," Qrow piped up in response, "None of us were spoiled brats who were used to waking up whenever we pleased."

As the group bickered good-naturedly, Willow shook her head. 'They have no idea how scheduled an heiress' day really is'

"Good morning, team RWBY!" Ruby cheered.

"What in the world is wrong with you?" Weiss demanded from the floor.

"She's Summers daughter."

The whack to the head Qrow got for that comment was well worth it in his opinion.

"Now that you're awake, we can officially begin our first order of business." Ruby explained, ignoring the question.

"Excuse me?" Weiss asked, getting up and brushing herself off.

"Decorating!" Yang said happily, holding a collection of objects - pillows, pamphlets, a candle-holder - in her arms, also dressed alongside Blake.

The blondes statement caused Summer to laugh, which had a few people look at her in question.

"It just reminds me of our own first day," she said in response to the looks, "me and Tai were so eager to decorate, but the twins here just gave us the most confused looks."

Said twins both rolled their eyes, as Raven spoke up. "Well, both of us grew up carrying mainly what we needed to get by. Decorations weren't a high priority."

While her statement got her a few sad looks, Summer just kept going as normal, knowing that Raven wasn't saying this for sympathy. To the Branwens that statement was a fact of life, and not worth getting upset over.

"What?!" Weiss demanded again.

"We still have to unpack." Blake explained, lifting her suitcase, which opened, spilling its contents. "Aaaand clean." She added.

Weiss did not look enthusiastic, especially when Ruby knocked her back again with the blow of her whistle.

"Aaaalright! Weiss, Blake, Yang and their fearless leader Ruby have begun their first mission!" She announced, raising her fist into the air. "Banzai!" She cheered.

Blake and Yang appear at their leader's side and do the same. "Banzai!" They cheered with Ruby and turn at an angle as Weiss laid on the floor.

This scene caused the headmaster to let out a quiet chuckle. Things like this were always entertaining to see.

He was not the only one laughing however, quite a few of the adults either laughed in some form, or had some form of smile.

The next few minutes went by with brief moments of the work showing.

Yang placed a poster of six guys in various poses named "THE ACHIEVE MEN" on her part of the room. Weiss positioned the painting of the Forever Fall forest to perfection and walked away.

Blake was busy putting away her books on the shelves, picking up a copy of Ninjas of Love and widening her eyes as she warily looked around before putting it back.

Ruby positioned Crescent Rose at an exact angle against the curtains so she could perfectly slash a diagonal portion off. A quick zoom around the room (and the repaired curtains) ended with the girls admiring their handiwork... with one problem. The beds were cramped together in the center of the floor.

At this point most of the adults in the room had moved on to full blown laughter at the antics being shown. Even Raven had a grin on her face. Though none seemed to be as entertained as Summer and Qrow, both of whom were laughing so hard that they were almost falling off their seats.

"Th-this is so silly!" the laughing Rose choked out, "How did they not plan this out?"

All this question served to do was redouble the laughter in the rest of the room.

"This isn't going to work." Weiss said.

"It is a bit cramped." Blake admitted.

"Maybe we should ditch some of our stuff..." Yang suggested.

"Or we could ditch the beds... and replace them with bunk beds!" Ruby gave her own suggestion.

"Umm, that sounds incredibly dangerous." Weiss said.

"And super-awesome!" Yang said eagerly.

"It does seem efficient." Blake agreed.

"Well, we should put it to a vote!" Weiss suggested.

"I think we just did." Ruby said.

To the sounds of two dings and a single buzz, Blake thumbs upped the idea, Yang made a double-rocker gesture, and Weiss angrily curled her fists at her side.

Decided, they rushed at the beds, where sounds of jackhammering and sawing were heard until they gathered back at the front of the room.

"Objective: Complete!" Ruby said proudly.

A few of the eager parents leaned forward in their seats.

While Weiss' bed was simply on the ground next to her art and luggage, Blake's bed was next to her books, which were used to raise Yang's bed over it by placing the novels on the posts, and Ruby's was hanging from ropes on the ceiling with a blanket used as a tent over it.

Those who had leaned forward, and quite a few who hadn't, paled at the sight on screen.

Qrow, who was one of the least affected by this sight, looked around the room. He saw the expected terror from the caring parents, and a sneer of disdain from the Schnee patriarch, before he saw what was possibly the funniest thing ever.

Ozpin looked almost to be having a heart attack at the sight of the blatantly unsafe construction. Goodwitch didn't seem to be that far behind him either.

"Glynda." the headmaster speaks up, not averting his eyes from the catastrophic health hazard on screen.

"Yes?"

"Please remind me after this is over, to look into ways to make this not happen."

The assistant nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir."

Qrow had to try his hardest to not burst out laughing after hearing this exchange, as the others in the room slowly recovered from the sight.

"Allllright! Our second order of business iiiiiiiis...!" Ruby said dramatically as the room spun until she landed on her bed and a book landed in her lap. "Classes..." She said glumly as she pulled out a pencil. "Now, we have a few classes together today. At 9, we've got to be-" She started.

"What?! Did you say 9 o'clock?" Weiss asked.

"Uuuum..." Ruby said.

"It's 8:55, you dunce!" Weiss explained and was the first rushing out of the room and down the hall, the members of RWBY and JNPR peeking out from their doorways to look at her go.

"I feel like this would have been us if all four of us had things to hang up on the walls." Tai spoke up as the heiress ran out the door.

The white hooded leader crossed her arms, "I distinctly remember keeping an eye on the time to make sure that didn't happen, Tai."

"Then you're remembering wrong," Raven said to her partner, "You asked me to keep an eye on the clock for you."

The embarrassed blush Summer gave off was very entertaining to the female Branwen.

Ruby was flabbergasted until she decided. "To class!" She announced as she ran out, followed by Yang and Blake.

"Class...?" Jaune asked, losing his balance and ended up toppling Nora, Pyrrha and Ren on top of him. He managed to get out from under them and start dashing. "We're gonna be late!" He said worriedly.

In the courtyard, Professor Ozpin and Glynda watched the two teams hurried through the school. Glynda looked at her watch and Ozpin simply sipped his coffee.

"Ah," Ozpin sighs, "It is good to see that I will still enjoy that sight years later."

Glynda looked at her boss and raised an eyebrow, "You enjoy watching your students sprint for class?"

The headmaster nodded, "It is always entertaining to see which students can make it to the first class of the year on time, and those that have to run in order to make it." Ozpin turned his head with a small smile, "It is one of the few forms of entertainment I get when it comes to the school. My job does not leave me with large amounts of free time after all, and near the start of the year, what time I do have usually goes towards seeing if there are any students I can help."

Glynda nodded in understanding, though she felt that there was context beneath that statement that she was yet to understand.

The sight of an axe-blunderbuss weapon panned down to the boards displaying various species of Grimm - King Taijitu, Death Stalker, Beowulf, Boarbatusk, Nevermore and Ursa - behind an elderly teacher named Peter Port.

"Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" Port laughed.

The members of RWBY, seated on the front row, were in varying stages of interest; Blake and Yang were sitting up and paying attention, Weiss was taking notes and Ruby had her head propped in her hand as she took a quick nap until she was woken back up by Port's bad joke, which received a cricket-filled silence as a result.

"Is that Port?" Tai asked in a shocked tone.

"It is," Qrow said in the same tone, "I guess he graduated to full blown teacher at some point."

"I don't know why your so shocked," their leader spoke up, "He was learning to be a teacher, and this is over a decade from now. Of course he would have gotten to be a teacher at this point!"

"Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..." He said, stopping and giving Yang a wink, which she groaned uncomfortably at.

The instant that Port made his huntress comment, Summer honestly thought that Tai was going to explode from all the 'overprotective dad' energy he was giving off. She couldn't exactly hear what he was saying under his breath. though, from what little she could catch, it seemed to be assorted threats on Port's life and limbs.

She personally thought he was overreacting, but she wasn't sure she would do much better if port had done that towards Ruby, so she kept her mouth shut.

"Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" He finished.

"Ayyyy-yep!" A random student cheered as he stood up and raised his fist. He stood like this for a moment as everyone looked at him strangely before sitting down, embarrassed.

"That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..." He started a new story.

His words faded into the background and became a series of "blah"s, when Weiss noticed Ruby was very focused on penciling the paper in front of her.

Summer frowned at the sight of the younger Rose obviously doodling, "I think that this is going to lead to something bad."

"Indeed, Miss Rose," Ozpin responded to her statement, "It very likely will lead to quite a bit of anger from the young miss Schnee."

Those keeping an eye on the Schnee's could see the female of the pair drag her hand down her face. Clearly at least one of them agreed with the two hunters statements.

"...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me..." The professor continued.

The speech evolved into more "blah"s as Ruby chuckled at her creation and showed it to her teammates: a ball-with-limbs-and-a-head drawing of the teacher with stink lines coming from him and "Professor Poop" written underneath. Ruby blew a quick raspberry. Blake and Yang laughed, but Weiss looked annoyed.

Summer was torn between laughing at the younger Rose's childish drawing, and smashing her hand against her face. Glynda, on the other hand had no such hesitation.

"That girl is extremely foolish to be ignoring her teacher in such a way," she growled out, "Even if she was not interested she should still be trying to learn something from her professor."

None of the trainees had the heart (read: courage) to tell her that most students pay very little attention to teachers that bore them. However, Raven had the guts to point something out to the angry teacher.

"You know you say that about Summer's brat," the female Branwen says, "but considering these visions are made from memories, clearly not even the Schnee was able to really remember what he said, since she probably contributed some."

The look the headmasters assistant gave Raven could have killed most non-alpha Grimm and possibly any plant it was aimed at. The fact that Raven didn't look at Goodwitch the entire time she spoke was the only reason the rest of the room could think of as to why she was unaffected by it.

"Ah-heh-hem!" Port cleared his throat to get them to focus. He waited until he had their attention again. "In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero!" He boasted and finished his story.

The teacher took a bow as Weiss slowly got more and more frustrated with Ruby's antics. "The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!" He said as Ruby was balancing an apple on a book with her pencil held only by her finger while making a silly face.

"A true Huntsman must be dependable!" He continued. Ruby had fallen asleep again in the first class of the year.

"A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!" He finished... while Ruby was not-so-subtly picking her nose, much to Weiss' building anger.

At this point, Summer had buried her face in her hands from second hand embarrassment. Meanwhile, Glynda looked to be on the verge of having an aneurism from her mounting anger at the younger Rose's disregard of her professor.

"So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" He asked.

Weiss, still angry, raised her hand. "I do, sir!" She called out.

This time, it was Willow who reacted to her daughters action, "My daughter is acting purely out of anger," the Schnee matriarch said as she brought her hand up to pinch the bridge of her nose, "she is solely trying to show herself as better for the sake of her pride."

Upon hearing her statement, Ozpin nodded his head. "The young miss Schnee is indeed acting out of pride, likely still from not being chosen as her teams leader." he agreed, "She is also not taking into account that not all students are as dedicated to their studies as she is, which is also partly what is angering her." Ozpin slightly frowned as the kept his eyes on the image, "I believe we may be seeing her anger reach a boiling point very soon, which itself will likely lead to some issues."

"Well, then, let's find out!" He said as he turned to gesture at the glowing red eyes surrounded by shadow shaking the cage that trapped it. "Step forward, and face your opponent!" He instructed.

The unknown monster continued to growl as the scene cut to black.

The scene returned with Weiss, now back in her regular attire, readying her Myrtenaster at the growling creature in the cage barely seen before. Her teammates cheered her on from their seats in the front row.

"Goooo, Weiss!" Yang cheered, raising her fist.

"Fight well!" Blake cheered as well, waving a small flag saying "RWBY".

At the sight of the flag Qrows eyes grew wide. "Where did she get that?"

Summer took a breath as if to answer, before pausing and frowning. "I was going to say that she got it made, but this is still their first day."

A quick look over at the two teachers in the room showed that they didn't seem to have any idea either, both of them having confusion written all over their faces.

"Yeah, represent Teeeeam RWBY!" Ruby cried out to her partner.

"Ruby! I'm trying to focus!" Weiss snapped, lowering her sword and looking over at her "leader".

"Oh, um... Sorry..." Ruby apologized, looking sheepish.

Summer was conflicted. On the one hand, Weiss was correct in not wanting to be distracted going into a fight. But on the other hand, she didn't react to her other teammates performing the same action.

On a different couch, Glynda frowned as she realized the same thing Summer did. "She's letting her anger blind her. And using any excuse to lash out at miss Rose."

Willow sighed before speaking up, "I agree with you Professor," the Schnee matriarch visibly ignored her angry husband, "and if I have been reading her correctly, her anger is only going to get worse from here on."

The growing frown on Glynda face showed her agreement far more than any statement.

"Allllright!" Port shouted next to the cage, pulling out his axe. "Let the match... begin!" He announced.

The professor swung down and broke the lock, dropping the cage door and revealing the Boarbatusk inside, which immediately charged at Weiss. She used Myrtenaster to deflect its attack and rolled to the side, readying herself for its next move. The Grimm stood a distance away from its enemy, studying her.

"Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?" He asked.

"Hang in there, Weiss!" Ruby said encouragingly.

Weiss was now speeding towards the oncoming Boarbatusk, sticking her blade straight at its skull until they met and Myrtenaster was trapped in the beast's tusks. Weiss was still hanging on to the hilt and was tossed around as she struggled to get the rapier back.

"Bold, new approach. I like it!" Port praised.

"Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!" Ruby cheered.

"That," Raven said with a look of disdain on her face, "is not how you fight a Boarbatusk."

Summer looked over at her friend, "She may not know about it's weakness'. After all this is their first class."

"Alright," the Branwen said in response, "I'll acknowledge that, but that does not excuse the fact that she seems to be treating this fight like a fight with a Beowolf."

Summer looked back at the image before nodding in agreement. A straightforward attack like that would probably work on Beowolves and Ursai, but against a Grimm with as much armor as a Boarbatusk, that type of strategy was less than helpful, to put it nicely.

Weiss turned to glare at Ruby, only for the Boarbatusk to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip. Myrtenaster landed far away from its master, who was knocked back by the creature's tusks.

"Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?" Port questioned.

Weiss looked up just in time to see the Boarbatusk charge again, rolling out of the way just in time to avoid getting trampled and made it crash into a desk. Weiss rushed at her sword and slid to get it back in her hand.

"Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath-" Ruby offered.

"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss snapped, turning to Ruby.

"Ok, she may be angry," Tai spoke up, "but disregarding helpful information like that is a stupid idea."

All those in the room with combat experience nodded in agreement. When you were in combat, if you were told a weakness for your opponent, you used it. Regardless of how you came by the information.

Ruby looked hurt at Weiss' rebuttal. Meanwhile, the Boarbatusk leapt into the air and rolled into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air and landing on the ground, consistently gaining speed until it launched itself at Weiss. It came closer and closer, but Weiss activated one of her blue-white circles and blocked the roll, leaping up into the now-black snowflake symbol and turning it blue again so she could drive the blade into the Boarbatusk's stomach. It squealed and fell silent while Weiss gasped in relief.

"Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training!" Port praised as Weiss stood up at attention from her exhausted position and Ruby continued to frown. "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!" He announced.

Weiss glared and turned away, walking hurriedly to the exit past her teammates.

You could feel the tension in the room rise as Weiss left the room. Everyone there could tell that the heiress' explosion was coming up, and the only person who might be looking forward to it was Jacques. Even then, he might just not care at all about it rather than anything else.

"Sheesh, what's with her?" Jaune asked as he watched her leave.

The remaining members of Team RWBY looked at each other with the same question.

Weiss was still storming off, but Ruby turned a corner and managed to catch up with her.

"Weiss!" Ruby called.

Those in the room could almost hear the shattering of Weiss' patience, and hold on her temper.

"What?" Weiss demanded, turning around.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you being-?" Ruby started to ask, before Weiss cut her off.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance!" Weiss ranted.

Ruby scoffed. "What did I do?" She asked.

"That's just it - you've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so!" Weiss continued to rant.

Summer frowned in annoyance at the heiress' words. "Okay, while Ruby may not be off to the best start," she conceded, "it has been only a single day! Hell it hasn't even been that!"

Ghira, arguably one of the people in the room most experienced with leadership, nodded in agreement. "Miss Rose has only been the leader of their team for essentially a single school period, not nearly long enough to form any kind of proper opinion."

"Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team." Ruby said.

"Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I deserve better." Weiss said as she turned her back to Ruby, who tried to reach out but dropped her hand with the following words. "Ozpin made a mistake." She said as walked away as Ruby looked dejected.

Willow frowned at her daughters image in disappointment. While she expected such a reaction from her prideful daughter, that did not mean that she approved. "One cannot go through life getting their way forever," she says to herself, though a few people hear her, "that is simply not how the world works."

The matriarch looked over at her husband, knowing that despite his attempts to say otherwise he did not always come out on top in the business deals he has to negotiate, which to her mind stood as a testament to her earlier statement.

Ozpin, one of those who overheard the woman's statement, nods towards her in acknowledgement of her statement. He himself knew this lesson, and there was always at least one trainee each year that had to have that lesson forced upon them.

"Hmm... Now that didn't seem to go very well." Ozpin said, standing right behind a surprised Ruby with a coffee in one hand and his cane in the other.

"Is she right? Did you make a mistake?" Ruby asked, looking doubtful, even on the verge of tears.

Ozpin laughed slightly. "That remains to be seen." He said.

Weiss was still walking around the halls until she came across a balcony where Professor Port was watching the sunset over Beacon Academy's rooftops.

"Professor Port!" Weiss called out, approaching him.

"Ah, Miss Schnee! And to what do I owe this fine pleasure?" Port asked, turning to look at her.

"I... I enjoyed your lecture!" She said.

Raven snorts, "Okay, I call bullshit on that one."

Although she would not have put it in such a way, Summer agreed with her partner. "I'm pretty sure that he is aware she's just sucking up to him, Raven."

"Of course you did, child; you have the blood of a true Huntress in you." He praised.

"You really think so?" Weiss asked, smiling.

"Most surely!" He confirmed, before he noticed Weiss' small frown and lack of eye contact. "Hmm... Something's troubling you." He stated.

"Yes, sir..." She admitted.

"Dear girl, confess to me your strife!" He offered.

"Well... I-I think I should have been the leader of Team RWBY!" She admitted.

Port was silent for a moment until he spoke. "That's preposterous!" He said.

This statement was clearly too much for the pride of one Jacques Schnee to take as in response to the professors statement, he spoke up properly for the first time. "How dare he!" the Schnee patriarch exclaimed, "Any child of mine should be far more worthy of leadership than some lucky child."

Two things occurred simultaneously. First, the others in the room realized properly for the first time why the Schnees were blocked off from the rest of them. Secondly, TRQ had to restrain their leader from trying to strangle the businessman for the snide tone with which he referred to her daughter.

"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.

"I mean, it's only been one day. Ruby... I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child on this planet. But at this moment, I would not consider your appointment to leader to be one of them." Ozpin assured her, leaning in so he could look more directly at Ruby. "Do you?" He asked.

Summer, having just calmed down, looks over to Ozpin with curiosity in her eyes.

Ozpin simply smiles enigmatically and nods his head back towards the image, certain that his explanation will be upcoming.

"Excuse me?!" Weiss demanded, now getting angry.

"I've believed in Professor Ozpin for many years, and the man's never once led me astray!" Port explained.

"So you would just blindly accept his decision even after seeing how exceptional I am?" Weiss questioned.

"With all due respect, your exceptional skill on the battlefield is matched only by your poor attitude." Port explained.

"How dare you!" Weiss snapped, seething now.

"This," Ozpin speaks up after Weiss' outburst, "would have been one of the reasons for not choosing her as leader. As she is at that point in time, she cannot accept things that do not fit her world view, and by extension, that she may be wrong in any form." the headmaster focuses his eyes on the male Schnee as he says the next part of his statement, "Taken together that would have ended up with the entire group self-destructing in very short order."

Those who had kept an eye on the businessman saw him grinding his teeth together in anger. As much as he would like to complain, at this point in time he was unwilling to unleash his anger on one of the most respected people in Vale. Especially when he was in the same room, as he didn't have access to his monetary power or burgeoning political pull in this place.

"My point exactly. I see a girl before me who has spent her entire life getting exactly what she wanted." Port explained.

"That's not even remotely true!" Weiss snapped, crossing her arms, looking defiant, but under the teacher's gaze, she reluctantly relented. "Well... not entirely true." She admitted.

"Being a team leader isn't just a title you carry into battle, but a badge you wear constantly. If you're not always performing at your absolute best, then what reason do you give others to follow you?" Ozpin asked.

Raven raised her eyebrows in surprise at the wise sounding words coming from their generally nonchalant headmaster, however before she actually voiced her comment she saw her leader and the male Belladonna nodding in agreement with the words coming from the future Ozpin.

"A leader needs to put their best foot forward at all times," Ghira said, "otherwise no one will respect their decisions."

Raven, upon looking back through her memories, could agree with that. If Summer hadn't tried her hardest to be confident when she was chosen as leader Raven probably would not have listened anywhere as much as she does now.

Well, that and the half dozen fights it took for her to acknowledge Summer as stronger than her.

Ruby looked thoughtful with Ozpin's words, then smiled at him.

"So the outcome did not fall in your favor. Do you really believe that acting in such a manner would cause those in power to reconsider their decision?" He asked as Weiss finally calmed down and looked at him again.

"So instead of fretting about what you don't have, savor what you do. Hone your skills, perfect every technique, and be not the best leader, but the best person you can be." Port explained wisely.

Weiss smiled a little at the words of wisdom.

Ozpin smiles at this sight. Clearly the professor's words had made some form of an impact on the young Schnee. It was only the beginning, but this was the start of growth for the young woman.

"You've been burdened with a daunting responsibility, Ruby. I advise you take some time, to think about how you will uphold it." Ozpin explained, turning back on Ruby, still talking to her.

Ruby, with a last look of consideration, turned and walked away. She came to the balcony where Port was walking away from Weiss and smiled a little at her partner.

The full moon shined over the green lights of Beacon, and in the room of Team RWBY, the door opened and Weiss' shadow was seen against the hall's light. Blake was sleeping under the covers, Yang was spread out on her bed and snoring and when Weiss lifted the blanket of Ruby's tent, she found the occupant with her head resting on notes, a pencil in her hand and open books all around her.

Qrow's eyes widen before turning to the headmaster, "Looks like the kid really took your words to heart prof."

Ozpin didn't say anything in response, but the small smile adorning his face told those looking that he was happy with that fact.

Weiss, looking amazed at Ruby's determination, cleared her throat and gently shook the other girl awake, who took a second to regain consciousness and start flailing in surprise.

"Weiss! I-I was studying, and then I fell asleep! I'm sorry..." Ruby started, before Weiss placed a hand over Ruby's mouth and put a finger to her own so Ruby understood the need for lowering her voice.

Weiss looked near Ruby's pillow and spotted an empty Beacon coffee mug.

"How do you take your coffee?" She asked, lowering her hand.

"I... I don't..." Ruby stammered.

"Answer the question!" Weiss said, getting irritated.

"Uhh, cream and five sugars!" Ruby finally answered.

Summer tilts her head in confusion, "I can't tell if she just gave a panic answer, or if that is actually the truth."

Her teammates either shrugged or shook their heads in response. Clearly they had no idea either.

Weiss sighed. "Don't move." She instructed as she ducked under to her own bed and came up a moment later with a fresh cup, offering it to Ruby. "Here." She offered.

"Um... Thanks, Weiss." Ruby said, surprised.

Weiss smiled, then looked apologetic. "Ruby, I think you have what it takes to be a good leader." She admitted as Ruby smiled appreciatively. "Just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have!" She said as they shared a smile. "Good luck studying!" She said as she ducked under, only to come up and point at one of Ruby's papers.

"That's wrong, by the way." She said as she ducked under again and her voice came from the doorway this time.

Summer starts laughing as the heiress gives her strange, almost apology.

When she notices the several eyes turned in question towards her, she smiles. "This" she said, "is the heiress' way of apologizing. It is hilarious to see her so awkward, yet trying so hard."

With this statement out loud, multiple people in the room join Summer in laughter, some more reservedly than others. The only exceptions being Raven, who simply smirks, and the Schnee patriarch, who simply frowns at Summers words.

"Hey, Ruby?" She said once more.

"Uh-huh?" Ruby asked.

Weiss stood in the door with her hand on the knob. "I always wanted bunk beds as a kid." She said as she started to close the door.

Ruby, grinning at the progress with her friend, went back to her notes as scene faded to black.

As the vision ends Tai speaks up, "Well, that was quite interesting to see their first day of classes."

"I agree!" Summer said, "We may not have learned anything important, but seeing something like this is always helpful."

Raven frowns at her optimistic teammates. "As much as you enjoy this, it's probably not going to be all happy forever."

"I know," was her leaders prompt response, "which is why I'm enjoying it while I can."

She can see the frown on her teammates faces as the next vision began to play. The changing colors of the wall draw everyone's attention away from her as her own frown appeared. Like she said, she knew that these visions wouldn't stay happy, but she was going to enjoy the happiness while she could.

Because she had a feeling that once it got bad, there wouldn't be much happiness to be had.

Finally done. Sorry that took a while.

So, with this chapter I should have also updated all the other ones to change Willows name to be correct.

Anyway, Read and Review.
