CRASH!

"WHAT IN THE-" The overseer on the floor Midoriya had smashed into dropped the book he was holding as he jumped back in shock, and the magic teen rolled to his feet.

The Overseer moved his hand to his belt to grab his gun but before he could Midoriya's hand shot out, Far Reach flying forward and pulling the man towards him. As he closed in the greenette quickly grabbed hold of the Overseer's face and felt his magic start to pull in as the world itself seemed to distort and get sucked into his marked hand.

He fell to the ground motionless after, his mask coated in stone while Midoriya felt himself grow a bit taller and wider but at the same time retain the body he'd always had. It was a weird feeling that his stomach and mind definitely were not fond of.

The sound of rapidly approaching footsteps got his attention and he quickly grabbed the unconscious overseer, shoving his body behind the door and backing off just as it swung open.

"Brother? What happened, we heard a mighty crash." It was Kobi. There was a voice he didn't expect to hear again. Thinking quickly, he hoped his voice changed with the disguise with this power.

"Uh, Yes brother-" God that felt weird to say. "-As you can see, a few delinquents came by and used their impure abilities to break this window. It id incredibly vexing."

"Yes, it is." Kobi sighed, turning and beginning to walk away. "I'll alert the High Overseer."

"Ah, no. Let me do it brother! I was here when it occurred, I can explain what I witnessed to him." Izuku said, completely fibbing his way through this entire exchange and somehow pulling it off.

"Hmm… I suppose you're right. You know where to find him: top floor, third room on the left." The overseer sighed, before continuing on his way. "I'll start to see about replacing it."

"Thank you." The disguised teen said before letting out a quiet relived sigh and hurrying out into the hall. He took the opposite path of the overseer to be safe and all but sprinted through the building.

After all, he didn't have a long time limit. Still, even despite that he did take a quick detour around to where he had once saved Aki to check something for himself.

As he came into the hall, much cleaner than it was before, he let out a sigh at what he saw. The room was in fact missing, no door to be seen. He walked to where he knew he had entered before and felt around for it, only to find nothing was there. 'Dammit how!? It's completely solid.'

Backing up, the world suddenly coated itself in sepia tones as his Dark Vision kicked in and he looked for any clue as to how, or even just to see into the room. Neither were revealed to him however which only left him with more frustration.

Let out a small growl of irritation he stormed off, missing the small piece of bone attached to the ceiling above, glowing with magical energy.

He hurried up the stories, his pace quickening as he began to feel his magic struggling to hold onto his form. He didn't have much longer he could be disguised for as he finally reached Naozumi's office.

With a sigh he simly forced the door open, causing the hig overseer inside to raise his head before frowning.

"You couldn't knock?"

'Knock some sense into you? Clearly I couldn't- Ok, Izuku, keep calm and just get him out of here. Don't lose your cool.'

"Apologies High Overseer. It's just, there is a situation outside that needs your urgent attention, regarding our outpost being vandalised and destroyed by some unsavoury youths." He lied, and fortunately it seemed Naozumi bought it as he stood up and began walking away. Just in time as well it would seem as the greenette could feel his limbs already 'shrinking' back to normal.

"Ok ok. Just remember to knock in the future, it's called manners, Overseer Sezaki." He commented, closing the doro behind him and Midoriya let out a loud sigh as his form dissipated and he turned back to normal.

"Too close. " He muttered to himself, taking a moment to breath before he let the world fall into the sepia of dark vision once more. He bolted over to the man's desk as he focused on the idea of important information regarding demons.

A couple documents and folders became highlighted which he began to grab, while on his way to the one that glowed brightest among them all. Once he had the other's in hand his power cut out and he was allowed to see normally again as he picked up the last document.

Before he checked that out however, a whistling noise caught his attention and he turned confused, seeing a trinket on the desk. Picking it up revealed it to be a bone with some odd carvings it it. In fact it was incredibly similar to the one on his sword and-

Holy crap he could feel the energy radiating off it. 'What in the void?'

Shaking his head he stuffed it into his pocket for later and turned back to the document.

It was a list of attacks it seemed, all by something Naozumi was referring to as the 'Truth Demon' in his notes. A quick once over revealed there seemed to be a partner with two attacks in Hosu followed by an attack in another city constantly.

Before he could check where was next, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching again and quickly added it to the list of files he'd gotten his hand on, before jumping for the little window above the door and slipping through as someone came tearing in.

He held on tight to all his newly acquired information with his right arm as he used Full Cowling to bolt through he building and get to the top in no time, managing to avoid being seen before he leapt off the roof towards safety, using Far Reach to get onto the roof he had come from before.

He laughed as he rolled, still running to get to the fire escape he had come up, getting down into the empty alley and quickly stuffing everything he'd gotten his hands on into his bag.

Once that was done, he pulled it onto his back once more cautiously ventured out into the street as he walked towards the train station.

He got the same dirty looks he did as when he'd arrived with his gir- 'FRIEND! Just friend, brain! Come on, like a girl like her would see anything in you!'

He did his best to ignore it all, frown quickly settling in as he soon arrived at his destination. At least none of them were any the wiser to what he had just pulled off.

He waited until the train pulled up and he was able to get on, finding a seat away from the other passengers for himself as he began to pull out what he could, silently sifting through the information for more on the supposed Truth Demon.

A couple files he sifted through seemed to have no relation beyond vague mentions of demons he'd have to come back to another time, and-

Did that one file say something about a lycanthrope?! He really hoped that was a coincidence because he had no idea what to think about that. Turning his attention back, he found more in-depth notes on some of the attacks.

In amongst the varying situations, similarities seemed to have been found in each victim (the word left a pit in his stomach) that explained why Naozumi has described the demon as he did.

Every attack had initially been labelled suicide due to insanity. Every victim had broken down, confessing everything they seemed to be able to about themselves quickly moving from the innocuous to the horrifying.

Forced to face the facts and with a little push from an unseen outside force they reached a point where they couldn't take it anymore and…

And they offed themselves. The only way to be sure it was a villain or demon was the fact it was happening to so many people all over the place.

With a heavy sigh he pulled out the charts with all the current attacks so far, inspecting it once more.

Six cities aside from Hosu had seen the truth demon at least once so far and it was time for another new city to have a victim suffer. The greenette's eyes took in the notes on where it was expected to strike next and they went wide.

'Musutafu prefecture.'

With that reveal he quickly began scanning through every page, looking for anything that could help him identify the next victim but coming up short. The Abbey knew next to nothing about the victims in these attacks.

Hours later, into the early morning saw Izuku cross referencing documents for any hint at all as to what was going, constantly coming up short and feeding into his already excessive frustration.

Looking to his alarm clock and seeing it read 1:43AM he let out a tired sigh and stood up, walking to his bed. He wasn't going to get answers this way and Aizawa wasn't going to be any less harsh on them just because they were tired.

God knows it didn't stop him from doing his part in hero work.

"Ok Outsider…" Midoriya talked into the empty room, laying down on his bed with a frown. "You're my only real option now. If you have any idea at all, or find out anything you better let me know."

Silence answered him but the room grew colder for just a moment confirming his request was heard. With a heavy sigh, he grabbed his phone from the bedside table and looked at the two newest conversations on it before he finally drifted off into the realm of sleep.

The Invisionable girl 3:

You: Sorry! The train took way longer than I expected. Home safe and sound now. – 8:42PM

The Invisionable girl 3: Oh thank god! Don't worry me like that! – 8:43PM

You: Sorry again! I didn't want to worry you. – 8:46PM

The Invisionable girl 3: Well as long as your safe. I swear I can't leave you alone anywhere. I swear I'm going to have to ground you. – 8:48PM

You: Thanks mom(!) – 8:50PM

The Invisionable girl 3: That's Mommy to you, mister ;p – 8:51PM

You: UHFAESIUGFRIPUSGBUIGRUIGU HAGAKURE! – 8:52PM

The Invisionable Girl 3: Aahahahaha! That was so worth it for your reaction xD! – 8:54PM

The Invisionable girl 3: Anyways, in all seriousness, I'm happy your ok. Now both of us should get some sleep, we have exams coming up soon! I may not be top of the class but your close and I want be responsible for any failing grades! Good night, sweetie! – 8:57PM

You: Night, Hagakure. – 8:58PM

You: Wait, "sweetie?" – 9:00PM

He never got an explanation before she was off to bed. The present Midoriya sighed, flicking to the other conversation he'd had that he would be lying if he said didn't bring him a small amount of excitement and joy.

Jirou J 3:

Jirou J 3: So, enjoy your time at Hagakure's? – 8:11PM

You: Yeah! Had a lot of fun, and Hagakure was as excitable as ever. – 8:45PM

Jirou J 3: Heh. Yeah she is a bit on the hyper side, but it adds to her charm. Kinda the same as Mina. – 8: 47:PM

Jirou J 3: Speaking of visits by the way… I uh… I know this is kind of out of nowhere but can I come up to your house sometime soon? I'd invite you up to mine but my dad is like the epitome of over protective. – 8:50PM

Jirou J 3: If you don't want to though I totally get it and understand. – 8:50PM

You: Why would I say no? of course I'd love to have you up! Mom definitely won't be against it either, know for a fact. Just let me know when! – 8:52PM

Jirou J 3: We can talk over the details at school? Thanks so much. I should let you sleep now, night Midori. – 9:00PM

You: Did you just steal Hagakure's nickname? – 9:01PM

Jirou J 3: I mean it's a better more personal nickname than green so… Speaking of, I was thinking and you can call me Kyo or Kyoka. If you want, I guess. – 9:03PM

You: Wait are you sure?! – 9:04PM

Jirou J 3: Yeah. I would like it, but you don't have to. – 9:04PM

You: Well, if you're sure I guess. Goodnight Kyo… Sweet dreams. – 9:05PM

As he read it over one more time, he grinned like an idiot. It would take some adjusting to call her by the new name, his politeness and use to calling her Jirou would defintely make it a challenge but…

He also couldn't help but enjoy how cute the nickname Kyo sounded.

With that much happier thought than he'd previously had, he drifted off into the realm of sleep.
