Chapter 27

(In Virgil's point a view)

Now that I had the babies sorted I made my way back up to the round house. When I got there Robyn was on the sofa doing so drawing while her Mother seem to be in the bathroom because I could hear her. So I decided to give Robyn the good news about going to the mainland in the morning. "Hey Robyn how do you fancy spending sometime with Mummy and I? We are going over to the mainland in the morning. We will be taking Rebecca with us because we have a very special Job for you to do."

"What is it Daddy?"

"Well you know when you came to us to tell us that you couldn't play with Rebecca?"

"Yes Daddy?"

"Well Rebecca can't hear you and we are taking her over to get fitted with hearing aids to help her. We need you to play with Rebecca until we get a reaction from her, and her hearing aids get turned on. Do you think you can do that for us?"

"I would love to Daddy, are Joshua and Scotty coming with us?"

"No Uncle Alan and Auntie Tin-Tin are going to come up to mind them for us. We should only be gone a couple of days. It will be good once Rebecca gets fitted it means that you will be able to play with her"

"Really Daddy?" are we going to see Nanny Lucy and Nanny Penny?"

"Yep we can always pop in on them while we are over if you want." I said while making Robyn her toast and milk before bed. Jo came out of the bathroom and went to check on the babies in the nursery once Jo came back in I knew that Robyn would be going to bed in an hour.

"I take it that you told Robyn about tomorrow then?" asked Jo with a smile

"Yep I sure did , come on Robyn why don't you go and get a bath ? while I chat to Mum here?"

"Okay Daddy, Love you." Said Robyn who made her way into the bathroom, once Robyn had gone Jo came walking in with Scotty in her arms.

"Is everything Okay Virgil?"

"Oh yeah its all fine Jo, I just needed some alone time with you. We haven't really had any since the babies arrived and I miss it." I said while pulling my wife into a deep kiss.

"Okay Virgil why don't we get Robyn to bed and this little guy settled again? We could cuddle up on the sofa with a movie."

"That sounds like a plan, give me Scotty and I will put him back down for you. Why don't you go and take care of Robyn?" I said as I took my youngest son back into the nursery, while I was in there I checked on the other two who were a sleep at the moment. I walked into our bedroom to get myself sorted and ready for bed after the movie.

"Virgil could you go and read Robyn her story? While I go and get myself sorted she is settled just waiting on her story. And please put a top on before going into see our daughter." Said Jo with a laugh, I know that she loves me topless when we get some alone time. So I went to put a top on then made my way into Robyn's to see that she seem settled. It didn't take long for me to read to her, so I kissed her good night and made my way back to the living room. Jo was on the sofa and had choosing a movie to watch. Once I sat on the sofa Jo gave me a smile and I was allowed to take my top off again, we watched the movie then headed to bed. The next morning both Alan and Tin-Tin Had met us so that we could leave as soon as possible.

"Are you all set for going?" Asked Tin-Tin with a smile while picking up Joshua.

"Yep we are all set for going, the babies feeding times are on the fridge there. Both babies had a good night, we were up three times with them last night." I said while making breakfast for my family just then Robyn comes in.

"Morning Daddy, Uncle Alan what are you doing here?"

"We are here to babysit Joshua and Scotty for your Mummy and Daddy while you all go over to the mainland with Rebecca."

"Daddy can I go and see if Rebecca is awake?"

"Sure you can Robyn, Do you two want a cuppa while I am making some here? I asked both Alan and Tin-Tin.

"Yes please, I am going to give Jo a hand with the babies Virgil." Said Tin-Tin, I knew once Tin-Tin had gone that Alan needed to talk to me about something. It seems that all my brothers are coming to me for advice because I am the first to get married. I don't mind it , I am hoping that both John and Gordon find someone soon. "Okay Alan what's on your mind?"

"I really want to ask Tin-Tin to marry me, now that you have done it I want the same. I am not sure if Tin-Tin would be ready for that. Okay we have Danny and we are just about managing everything. Any advice?"

"I know that Scott wants to ask Lisa, so why don't you get together with Scott and plan something between the two of you? If you really love her then go for it or you could always talk to her again about it first." I said while handing Alan his coffee.

"Okay Virgil I am just worried about bringing this up with her, we did talk about it before but had told me that she wasn't ready. That was almost a year ago now."

"All I can say is wait until Tin-Tin comes to you about the subject but Al I know that she loves you." I said while putting a hand on my youngest brothers shoulder, just then Jo walks in with Rebecca in her arms. While Tin-Tin had Scotty. We had done the first feeds about two hours ago and we wanted to do another feed before we left for the mainland. I walked back into the nursery to get Joshua to see that Robyn was in there with him.

"Robyn sweetie are you okay?"

"Yes Daddy, I am fine. Are you coming in to get Joshua? Can I feed him please?"

"Sure you can how are you finding being a big sister now?" I asked while taking Joshua out of his cot

"Good Daddy getting used to it now, Uncle Scott was really good and told me stories about how he felt becoming a big brother. His stories were really good too."

"That is good to hear Robyn, How are you getting on with Uncle Alan?"

"I am doing fine with Uncle Alan now that he is good to me, I really enjoy his company now." Said Robyn as we walked back into the living room Robyn sat on the sofa and I handed Joshua over to her while I went and got his milk. Jo walked in after getting Rebecca ready and smiled when she saw that Robyn had Joshua in her arms.

"Well this is really good to see, see we told you that you would make a brilliant big sister and it isn't that bad. You are doing a good job there."

"Yes Mummy and guess what? Daddy is going to let me feed Joshua" said Robyn with a smile.

"Here you go Robyn, we will be right beside you if you need help." I said while sitting beside her in case she needed some help. It took about an hour to do the feeds once they were done. We got told to go on down to the hanger, Lisa had met us and we got on board Tracy one. Once we had left Tracy Island Robyn wanted to come and sit up front with me. I now know that my oldest daughter will be alright now and she is getting used to being a big sister and that is thanks to Scott for helping her.
