Chapter 39

The great circle was not beaming as bright over the dried and bloody lands now. However the heat was still rising as the day started to set. The brown lion stood strong, heavily panting over Nalas still body. At a quick glance, he didn't notice her breathing. It was shallow, almost hollow even.

He truly thought he had killed her. The first time, he could feel her bodies resistance under him. That fight, that defiance still in her, re-invigorating him for more. When their First time together was over, he took a break, he caught his breath he even played with her. The second time Nuka had taken Nala, the resistance was barely there as he entered her body again and again. He could feel it fleeting from her body with each second that passed.

On their third time, he entered her more violently then the last, to see what she would do. How she would react to him, would he cry out in pain? Try to run? The possibility he thought of were endless. And fun to him-but this time Nala gave him no fight. Her body was limp the entire time. The more he drove deep inside her the more hollow she became. So, when Nuka was finished with her, he had grown bored...but Satisfied with her for now.

Nuka scanned the area tiredly, he still had a job to do.Soon his left eye saw what was once the end part of his tail. She had ripped in clean off. Hmp, so be it. Did he really need it anyway? The lower ends of tails are normally small and weak. What purpose do they have?

Weakness in any form served no purpose to Nuka anymore. If it didn't serve him to better him, in making him strong. He didn't need it. He didn't need anything but power.

In an act of showing kindness, of genuine affection and even appreciation- a sick and twisted act of appreciation. Nuka passionately licked the side of Nalas face. Slowly and tenderly savoring every second.

He was so appreciative to Nala. The hard work of training was nothing- the first step to his greatness. But battling her, concurring her -truly pushed and challenged him to new heights. She had represented everything that he wanted but would never be allow to have. Until he had the balls to take it.

Losing his right eye, did nothing but open another one. It a sense this battled awaken The monster…the beast in him. For this he was truly grateful. His rough tongue tasted the saltiness of the tears with the mixture of his blood as it dripped from his eye.

He was done here, he had other business to attend to. He left her, and went over in the direction of the still screaming Kopa.

Nala watched helplessly on. She strained her eyes to close, so she could not see whatever monstrous events unfold. But she was…stuck. Staring aimlessly in the direction that her body was facing. She felt trapped inside her own mind.

She was blind to anything before her. She couldn't get herself to focus on anything, say anything, stop anything. She just laid there numb and broken...shattered to pieces. She Listened to the sounds of a wailing cub, until she heard him cry no more…

It was quick. If she would have zoned out more, she probably would have blocked out what she knew was happening. She didn't have the energy to zone out, to go back to the unconscious state. She was just…there. Somewhere stuck in the middle. Where she knew what was happening around her, but she was unable to get herself to do anything about it. Not knowing what to do. Nalas body wasn't hers anymore...

When Nuka came back, he did her the favor of not dropping the slain body before her. That would have been too much. But…what was really too much for her to go though now? She had ready failed herself in more ways than one…and failed little Kopa.

No, she deserved that further slap in the face. She had broken her promise to herself…to Sarabi. Her body went cold as she watched fresh drops of blood fall from Nukas mouth.

Drip.drip…all of little Kopa's innocent blood- her taken blood. At that very moment, she was just as dead as Kopa was. Newer, fresher more painful tears fell freely from her face as her body started to convulse into spasms.

Nuka watched her cry with baited breath. "I'll send for someone to come get you later." He then walked off, and left her. Back to the destination of priderock.

She told him to leave and never to never return. No simba knew his mother more or less demanded it to happen. Before she could no longer protect him. Did that mean that Sarabi already knew her fate?

No no…leaving was crazy- this was crazy..everything happening to him right now was crazy!! This can't be reality, he must be having a nightmare. Because it sure as hell looked like it.

After his mother left, Simba went in the opposite direction. He had to distance himself, for his sanity. He aimlessly walked in a direction towards nowhere really.

Yet everything he went just reminder him of all the same! The bodies of fallen hyenas were everywhere. Simba had truly no idea that THAT many hyenas roamed around freely. He forced himself not to notice.

Ignorance was always bliss. That's how he managed to cope.

Yet the bodies of all the fallen dogs told him he couldn't do on living this lie. Not anymore.

"W…why why!!" Simba braced himself against a nearby tree. His legs felt weak and every since his fight…well utter lost to his mother. Simbas stomached had emptied itself twice. He could feel himself wanting to throw up something again. But he had absolutely nothing left inside of him.

His stomach ached like nothing before. It was crippling. Everything he knew was being thrown away…

Then something in the distance caught his attention. It was viciously making it's way back tp priderock at a great speed. It was far and distance. From the color of the fur, simba could see it was brown. He quickly feared the lion to be Scar.

But…when he looked at little closer this lion couldn't be Scar. His lion was beaten, bleeding. It even had a missing tail. That lion was…Nuka. The sight of the lion made simba eyes bulge from his head. This couldn't be the same lion?!

He was looking at a mad…half-dead looking crazed monster. Something that only lived in nightmares. Nuka hadn't even noticed Simba as he ran passed. Well, he really couldn't at least not on the side that Simba was on.

As he got closer and passed, simba noticed that a large black mass sat on his face. Right were his eye use to be. His eye was gone… black flesh took it's place.

Simba, painfully found that there was still something left inside of his stomach. It violently came out. Hurting more than the last, if he kept this up…he would soon lose his stomach.

He wanted to reach out to him…to call him. To ask what the hell had happened….what were they…he going to do?! But…Simba took the latter thought in his mind. The one he tried so hard to avoid but now…he found he literally had no choice. He turned on the back of his heel, and kept running.

The lionesses had now found themselves at an even standstill. As unbearable as it was they were Tired and wounded, they would have to remain strong to keep this retake together. Yet thinking such positive thoughts were not easy. Even Sarabi herself was starting to tire.

The hyena that got away was able to call for backup. And warn Ziras lionesses of the coming slaughter. They were more than prepared to protect little Shia.

It didn't help that they were fully rested and feed. While the prideland lionesses were not. It also didn't help that Mae returned, as promise, but with out Elsa. Not only were they physically hurt, but now they were mentally hurt as well. How much could they go on?

"Stand down." Ordered sarabi one last time. She was trying to save the cubs life, who was unfortunately mixed in with this dangerous situation. " I will ask you one last time"

"Never! We will never bow down to you!" Voiced Saada

"We will always remain loyal to Scar!" So be it. They had made there choice. 6 of Scars loyal followers against there 5. The odds weren't impossible. Butt still…could they manage to pull this off.

"Sarabi, we don't have anymore time now." Code for, we can't the innocent cub. She will have to be a casualty.

"Right." Voiced Sarabi, the 5 remaining lionesses stood back to back, protecting each other corners, before they went on the attack. The royal den was a mixture of royal chaos. Roars and howls echoed throughout the walls.

Claws, tails and blood flew. A hyena bitten in the back, whined in pain. One of Sarabis lionesses was rammed into the side wall by one of Zira followers.you could hear as her ribs cracked and her roared in pain.

The queen herself, was tired and bloody. Bruises swelled on her body, and deep cuts released red crimson onto the cave floor. "Give it up Sarabi! Your time is OVER!"

"NEVER!" She had tackled Saada to the ground. The two rolled over each other with furious speed.when they ran out of room, Sarabi was inevitable pinned to the ground. And Saada slowly raised an outreaches paw. She was going to savory this moment. Her queen would be so proud.

"I told you to give up old queen, now you're mine!" She swung her paw down "DIEE-" the weight of Zira lionesses was gone. Sarabi staggered to her feet, and watched as Sarafina stepped in to give a fatal biting blow to the unsuspecting lioness. When she was gone she ran over to her friend.

"…sarabi are you okay?!"

"..I'm fine…" her red orbs slowly scanned around the den. The chaotic movement of fighting had all but come to a still when Jama noticed her sister had fallen, she went still. The hyenas noticed this and soon followed suite. They had all stopped, finally it was over.

The lionesses could finally breath a sigh of relief.

Then they all heard him, before they saw him. And when they saw him they were all shocked. Nuka came charging into the den. He was followed by three hyenas who secretly hide from the lionesses when they had heard the warning cry. Before they knew it...They were quickly outnumbered again, this time 5 to 9.

Expect this time, sarabi could visible see the defeat in her sisters eyes as they found themselves surrounded again.

Now with Nuka here…the morale had quickly shifted to the opposing side.Sarabi looked at the crazed lion before her. He eagerly stalked towards them, dripping sweat and blood. He looked like he had been through hell or worse. But what scared her most was the look in his eye. He was mad. His eyes begged for a fight…a kill. His sanity was gone.

He wanted for one of them to make a move, so he could go after them-so he could mercilessly end them. For his sick pleasure. His disgusting power play. The queen looked around, her sisters were badly beaten and broken. If she dared to call for them to attack, they would soon come out the battle looking like Nuka, or worse. Sarabi would not let him have that satisfaction of killing her sisters, her family. She couldn't.

Her sisters had vowed themselves to follow her through thick and thin...life or death. This was not the outcome he wanted. She would refuse to let what would happen next, happen. It didnt matter what happens to her-But it did matter what would happen to the rest of her family. HER family that she always put before herself. What would be the best option for them...right now... in this very moment?

Sarabi took a long, deep moment, To find the answer within her heart. In truth she felt they had already won in so many ways. If she could, she would avoid any meaningless death. All she wanted was for her family to be safe and free again. Maybe...she couldn't get them there herself alone. That wasnt her calling, but she could be the one to lead them in the direction.

With a pained feeling in her chest and tightening feeling in her heart. Sarabi stepped before her sisters and called off any further fighting….the takeover was over.
