SIMBA
I took, my time eating today. I had to figure out the exact words I was going to tell Kenya, father. I mean I spent this whole morning racking my brain, I'm overthinking it, I know. But this is something you have to overthink. I mean what Kenya is asking for is a big step. and really who am I to ask her father of thing. I know the lion likes me, but that can change at the snap of a paw. especially if I were to do anything that hurt Kenya.
Which I'm not I will...ugh it's just a lot to think about that's all I'm saying. but in other good news, Kenya and her sister Kleo managed to make up. Like I couldn't predict that was coming. Kenya can only hold a grudge for a few hours at max a day. well, all wells that end well I suppose.
"Psh, Simba don't you think it's time." Kenya elbowed me while looking at me side-eyed. "you know whiles he's eating, he's always in a good mood after he eats-"
"What are you two love birds whispering about." Kali mocked. "I want to know."
"It doesn't concern you Kali." retorted Kenya. and when I thought they were getting along so well...
"So we're keeping secrets I see. I thought this was a no secret family."
"Kali it's too early for this, the day just started." I could see an annoyed look grow on my girlfriends' features.
"which means we should put the troubles of yesterdays in the past behind us. I mean look at Kali she's not mat at me anymore."
"for your information, I was never mad at either of you. you two were fighting each other."
"...well except when you took Kenya's side-"
"Kleo you took my side?!"
"For the last damn time, I do not take sides."
"Watch your mouth, Kleo."
"Sorry, dad." well this is turning out to be an eventful morning. I stopped eating when I saw Kenya give me a wink. she was going in for the kill. Because this could kill me.
"Um, daddy I have something to tell you. Simba and I both have something to tell you." there's the punch line.
" Oh my king, Kenya you're pregnant. I'm going to be an aunty!?" Kali what?!- that was not the punch line I was thinking of, kings. as soon as the words escaped her mouth Kleo dropped her food and Kye practically starting choking. "Oh crap daddy!?" what in the hell!
"Kleo?!" both Kenya and Kali were looking to their older sister. heck, I was to I didn't know what to do.
"I'm on it!" with no hesitation Kleo slapped the back of her father's back. A paw sized chunk of red meat went flying between our group. "Dad, are you okay?" kye waved his paw in the paw, signaling for us to let him catch his breath. " What the hell you two! are you really trying to kill dad!?"
"What no!"
"Looks like it's a little too late Kenya the cat jumped out of the den."
"No no, she's not pregnant Kleo. I promise," I interjected we needed to get some clarity. By this time Kye had caught his breath and I felt a very heavy paw land on my shoulder.
"Good son, because I really liked you. and I didn't want to kill you haha. then what's this fuss all about, before you give your old lion an actually heart-attack?" Kenya stepped to my left side.
"Well what I wanted to tell you before, I got interpreted was that...Simba and I want to move out..."
"m...move out?"
" Yes, dad. move out, as in leaving here." in the end I guess you could say I didn't end up saying much. I nodded my head along to everything that Kenya had said. I could tell her father was trying not to buy into it, but knowing Kenya she would give him a reason. " Think about it, it's about time I left and started my own life dad. isn't it daddy."
"yes but i-"
"I won't be by myself, I'll have Simba and remember you love him." she was going to win him over. I could tell by the look in his eyes. "We're both adults it's time for us to leave." Kye paused, and I have never seen this lion not have an answer for anything.
"you can't be serious...you want to leave us..."
"Kali..."
"Do you hate me that much."
"What no, of course not. You're my sister I love you. But we need space. besides, you'll understand when you're older and have a love for yourself." I don't think Kali wanted to by into that much. but I guess she had no choice. She didn't look defeated more of a shocked expression. it had to be a shock she knew was coming.
"You have been mention going on your own more these days." Kleo commented, "Even when you didn't say anything, I could see a look in your eyes. I just didn't think you were going to do it, at least not before me."
"You tend to play it safe more."
"ha, I know...well daddy?"
"m-me?"
"Yes you, are you going to give them your blessing to leave?"
"Before you say anything, Kye may I say something?" I voiced. " You know I love your daughter. I'd never do anything to hurt her and I'll protect her with my life. I know this is probably a lot to take in- trust me when she first told me I was taken aback too. but after listening to her. I think it's the right choice for us to make as adults now so yea...that's all I had to say."
"wow, a lion of so little words, yets he gets his point across so vividly."
"shh, Kali!"
" Geeze sorry. I'm just an eager to know what the old lion will say."
"Hey, I am not old! at least not that old." retorted kye. " ugh oh me, I knew this day would come." by this time we were all anxious to know what the answer would be, would we get his blessing or not. "hmm, I'll allow it Kenya because I love you, but there is one condition before you can get my full blessing."
"yes, what is it." excited both Kenya and I nuzzled each other. phew, I knew he had to say yes. I don't know why I was so worried.
"He has to marry you first." that's when everything stopped for me.
What...
KawaiiCutie12 -Same here, I wanted my girl Vitani to do some self-reflection, especially since I didn't get to focus on her much in the first part. Glad you enjoyed!
