God damn my back is killing me. That dam floor is a whole lot uncomfortable when you don't have a body under you. Speaking of body, where is Nala? I haven't seen or heard from her for a whole day. It's not like her to not check up on me. She knows how I get when we're not together for a while. Kings, she just likes to piss me off. All I want is one thing, her underlying support. Is that too much to ask?

Stepping outside my den, the sun hit my eye. It was a nice day, perfect actually. And was I spending that time alone? I requested my own den, obviously. A king doesn't sleep with her subjects...unless he's sleeping with his subjects. But there was no way I couldn't sleep in the same den as the lionesses. Of my pride? please they'd kill me in my sleep. I don't trust a damn one of them.

It sucks being the more feared sometimes. oh well. As I looked around my surroundings, I really did realize why they call this the mountain pride. There's nothing here but mountains on hills and hills in mountains. This place literally has nothing going for it.

"King Nuka." I turned to see who was calling my name. it surely wasn't any of my lionesses, they never sound this cheerful. She was a lioness who I've seen before on the first day we arrived, she was on the right of Vitani...Bimbe...Asha? "Shanti." she greeted bowing her head. hmm, they are really formal here.

"Hello, Shanti."

"I hope your stay here is going well? I came to see if you needed anything. Before we leave for the hunt."

"I'm very pleased, ha I can't say how much my sister is though."

"Nonsense, your sister is very happy to see the rest of her family here." hmm I wonder?

"Back when we first arrived, you were staying to the right on my sister. That's a rather high position," I questioned. from looking at this lioness I could tell something was different about her. I can't say what it is, but I know I feel it. she's just like me... I'll have to toy with her to find out more. That little look in her eye... I like it. The grey lioness with the grey eyes...you intrigue me.

"Yes I was, I'm your sister's second."

"So she can really trust you, right."

"With her life." you could just hear the pridefulness in her voice, so annoying.

"Good that's good, it's hard to have someone you can truly trust is the crazy world. I'm glad my sister, has you. It's an honor to have a real friend, isn't it."

"It's my duty. I sever her and my king faithfully." faithfully huh, I love when faith gets tested.

"listen I have a ques-" a sharp roar came from the direction of the mountain prides family den. I wonder what that was all about. Before I could even ask Shanti what that call was for, she was gone racing back from the direction she came in. "Hey... what going on?!"

"Assembly call, everyone meets as the platform! that means you too." what? just my luck.

fine fine, i...willingly followed behind Shanti. Kings this lioness was running fast, was it a fire or something. It wasn't this serious. When we got to the platform everyone was surrounding my sister and her mate. I didn't see the little forsaken brat, I guess he must have been somewhere rolling around in the dirt. Hell, I don't know what cubs do. The little shit just better stay away from me.

I know good and damn well I don't want to see him. I stood back and scanned the crowd. I couldn't tell what was happening. Then I spotted my Mother and Shia. At least I knew those two. "Hey, what's doing on?"

"How should I know, I'm just as clueless as you." I ignored her comment, because if I paid attention to it like she probably wants me too. I'll get pissed off. A simple 'I don't know' would have been fine.

"Well it better be important, it was interfering with business."

"Nuka I've been looking for you big brother. Where have you been I thought you were sharing a den with us?"

"Why would I do that Shia?"

"Hey, their about to say something." all the small commotion came to a stop as Kijivu raised his head.

"Good morning everyone..." geesh I might just be me, but Vitani looks like she's waiting on his guy paw and tail. Give the lion some space. Being so attached is unattractive. I never figured she would become a wait-on-you lioness. Then again she became a whole mother on me. So I guess I don't know my own twin like i thought. " It saddens me to inform you that... on such a beautiful day..." blah blah blah, you know what saddens me? Having to look at old fangs here struggle to talk. I know he's around my dad age, but kings, the lion looks like he's about to fall over any minute." The king of the powerful mountain pride, my father is dead. " i-what?!

I shared a glance with my mother...this can't be serious. He can't be serious. I guess this was the real deal because Kijivu stopped talking choking on his words. Vitani had to step forward.

"King Kijani passed away peacefully in his sleep. He is no longer here with us...but he is still watching over us. All of us." Well, I'll be damned, this turned out to be my day. " I know this is a lot to take in, and for some of you, it may be sudden. Today there will be no hunt. I know king Kijani was beloved by many of you. I... I too saw him as a father figure when I came here. and I will miss him dearly." My life just got a lot easier. Nows the time to make my move.

RyanSquad- lol yea that's happened to me to. I'm like damn I thought I posted that already. and IDK will Kion and Kiara be a thing? well if Nala and Simba don't get together they won't be lol.
