SIMBA

Dammit, something told me not to be that stupid and talk with that fool. I knew I had a bad feeling about this, the nightmares were true. My past is coming back to haunt me. well, I won't let it, I won't! they'd have to drag me back in order for that to happen. trust me I'd put up a fight, so they'd have to kill me first. I just...i can't believe what he said. and to bring up my father no less.

Doesn't he know you're not supposed to speak of the dead! Their spirits won't be able to rest if you do. hell, I hope he has that on his fucking conscious. I swear if no when I see him again, im going to kill him-

"Whoa!" hearing her voice made me snap from my enraged state.

" Hey... i." i looked on as all three lionesses looked at me like I was crazy.

"Damn, Simba you nearly ran me over! I know it's you're wedding day but geeze." voiced Kleo.

" Sorry, I didn't see you..." I stammered. backed off of her some, I wanted to help. I had practically knocked her down.

" That's for sure." her sisters went over to her side, as I stood back. They had dropped the meal they had brought for breakfast. It looked like a small Fallow deer. I stood back and watched, not feeling right to help in the situation that I caused. Kenya could sense I was off, I saw her look over to me. when I just stood there, like a cub in trouble, I saw her eyebrows furrow.

"Babe, you okay?"

"Yea, im fine."

"Hey girls, I'll catch up with you okay?"

"Whatever, don't be late dads expecting you two in a few hours." voiced Khole.

"We won't," Kenya said nothing else, as she watched her sisters leave. when they were gone and out of earshot she turned to me. "Okay, what up with you?"

"Nothing I jus-"

"No-no, don't nothing me. remember we said we wouldn't do that anymore?"

"ugh, I know." damn, it's just easier when you say it's nothing. It actually makes you feel that way. At least that was it does for me.

"What happened, you look... I don't know spooked? is anything okay?"

"it is, I just ran into someone."

"Someone, someone who?"

"apparently someone from back home. he's name is Rafiki. That weird monkey you met the other day."

"him? he's from your old home?"

"Apparently..."

"what did he do?" she asked curiously.

"No, it was more fo what he said..."

"And what was that?" shit, why do I feel so childish thinking about it now? All he did was mention the name of my dad. it should not have been that much of a big deal. But I made it that way. Now I feel...stupid. what grown lion acts like that? Kings and I call myself trying to be someone mate and I can't even control my own emotions. How could Kenya learn to depend on me when I can't even depend on myself, trust myself? trust can I can handle a siatution with some fucking sense and not just storm off? "hello Simba?"

"Huh?"

"What did he say?" just drop it. I cant; let myself get so worked up, This is our big day. I don't want to ruin it for myself, but more importantly, I don't want to ruin it for Kenya.

"he just...mentioned from friends from back home that i missed... I didn't realize how them not being here at my wedding would...affect me so much."

"Oh, Simba." she came over a nuzzled me a softy. " im so sorry, this must be so hard."

"No it's fone, I mean im better now anyway- I only felt that way for a moment."

"but still I have all my family here...and you have no one. that's not fair at all. maybe it should just be you and I, no dad or sisters. We can exchange our vows by ourselves we don't need any extras eyes.."

"Well it's life, and life's not fair." I argued " and no you're family will be there. they are just excited as you are i know."

"...yeah they are."

"Baby, it's fine. i just got into my head a bit. but now everything is better. okay?"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive."

"No...are you sure about it this, really?"

"Yes, I've never been more positive about anything in my life."

As shakey as my morning started off, the rest of the day and into our wedding ceremony went without a hitch. Kye had picked a beautiful spot to have the ceremony. The sun was setting just right, over the hillside. the changing colors in the sky illuminating the different colors of flowers and grasses. And then there was kenya...she looked the most beautiful of all. Compared in any sunset.

She was the sunset as I looked at her. Her sisters had decorated a ring of flowers that sat on top of her head. a crown for her. for a queen really. she was...perfect in every sense at that moment. "Stop staring at me like that, you're making me nervous."

"Nervous? I can't help it. you look amazing Kanya."

"thank you."

"hey look dad coming!" Kleo stated over the two of us.

Kye walked in slowly, he had a jolly look on his face. that was good, saying how he was officially giving his daughter away to me. I'm glad to see him have a happy look on his face. it made me feel better about myself, and my situation. Almost like he was my own father, telling me I had done a good job and that he was proud of me. When he came over towards us, he nuzzled Kenya and nodded towards me. "Alright, ready you two?"

"Yes." both for us, speaking in union. We followed Kye down to the hillside clearing. we stopped when he stopped, we were both ready and eager for him to turn around and instruct us in our vows. He took a moment to turn around, I could tell he was getting himself together. And when he did turn around I could still see a small lingering tear in his right eye. "Alright, Kenya repeat after me. I, Kenya, take thee, Simba, to be my wedded mate, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."

"I, Kenya, take thee, Simba, to be my wedded mate, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."

"And now Simba, repat after me I, Simba, take thee, Kenya, to be my wedded mate, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."

"I, Simba, take thee, Kenya, to be my wedded mate, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part..."

"Now, by the power invested in my as Kenya's father and now your father, you may now kiss your mate." and like that, we were married. I could hear both Kloe and Khleo cheering, along with their...well now my father. finally, everything was working out. After the ceremony, we all decided to return home, kye be the oldest of us all was growing tried.

"aww daddy you can't go to sleep yet, we're still celebrating!" voiced Kenya."

"I know dear, but your old lions all tired out, I'll leave the rest of the celebrating to you youngins."

"Aw okay."

"aww, boo dad, what a party pooper." teased Kleo. Kye flashed her a smile and nodded to me.

"Make sure they all get back home son." Son.

"Well do...dad." dad...dad.

"So." voiced Khleo, "what are you two newlyweds plan? you guys are already married, when can I expected little nieces and nephews running around?"

"Khloe!"

"What a sister can ask can't she?"

"We're going to wait frist, and enjoy our time together." voiced my mate, im glad she had the answer to that one. Because cubs..whoa one big step at a time.

"Oh wait! Khelo and I have something or you. We got you two a little romantic dinner. It's by the river you know, so you two can spend some...alone time."

"Mmm food, count me in!" I voiced.

Wasting no time, in following my new sisters down to the riverside. It was getting late, and I knew the chances were low, but I did not feel, like running into Rafiki again. I did promise him the next time I saw him, I'd kill him. and a part of me still means it. I can't lie and say I wasn't looking over my shoulder for that tree freak.

"You know you girls didn't have to do this right?"

"Yeah we know, we just wanted to. It's not like our sisters going to get married again." Khloe voiced.

"Haha, that is true." Kenya. the whole time we walked together she rested her head on my shoulders. The feeling felt so right. like she belonged by my side this whole time. How did I manage to live without her?

"Look you two just be quiet and enjoy the meal we got you okay?"

"Fine, i won't argue, haha I don't know about your sister..." I voiced teasing her.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"Oh, nothing dear."

"eww you two are gross, anyway we put your romantic wedding dinner right over-Hey!" voiced Kleo alarmed, taking us all back. "Something eating your kill!" before I or anyone could stop, that firecracker of a lioness, Kleo was already gone. not knowing what was happening we all followed her.

"Kleo wait! you don't know what it is!?"

As we rounded the corner, my red orbs saw a flash of small grey full dash into the bushes. "hey, what the hell was that?"

"It was a cub did you see that?!"

"Cub? that's impossible Kleo, there no other pride over here, are you sure?"

"You guys I know what I saw." and before we could tell her anything else again, she was off I guess after it.

"wait where are you going?!"

"I'm going after it duh!" I could see the frustration on both Kenya and Khelo's face.

"Come on, I voiced, let's go after her. who knows she might be right." I lead the way chasing after Kleo. thankfully the moonlight was still bright, it made it easier to find her. now easier to catch her would-be something else, she was running fast. "Kleo wait! hey wait-" suddenly I had to force myself to come to a complete stop. As Kleo stood there before me frozen, looking at something. "Hey...what's wrong?"

"look, she's hurt!"

"Who?" I voiced confused. I didn't know what she was talking about until Kleo stepped aside. relating a lioness that looked passed out on the ground. without me thinking, my body froze. something within me told me I knew this lioness.

"Kleo, Simba were are you guys?!"

"Over here! come help me, I found a lioness and I think she's hurt."

" Hey wait! maybe you shouldn't touch her. She could be sleeping all we know."

"Hey wait for us!" Kenya and Khleo had finally joined us. both lionesses walking passed me to see what in the hell was going on.

"Please don't be ridiculously clearly she's hurt, I mean just look at her shoulder, it's huge, it's probably broken or something- look don't just stand there help me!" I wanted to hesitate, I knew I needed to. The last thing I wanted to do was get closer to this ...feeling I had sturring inside me.

"...Fine just wa-"

"Roarrr!" out of the bushes, came a tiny little cub. covered in patches of dried dirt, bearing his fangs at us. " Get back! get back!" This heroic little cub stood directly in front of the fallen lioness. Now I get it, he was probably stealing food to bring back to her. She was probably his mother.

"That's the cub I saw earlier." voiced Kleo. we all looked at the little guy, he must have been under six months old. "Hey is that your mother little guy, is she hurt?"

"No!" clearly that was a lie. The poor little guy was probably thinking of what he could do next to stale us. "She's fine, she's just sleeping!" this little guy was hard to get by. I saw Kenya eye me.

"...psst Simba, distance him. we'll get her."

"...okay..." put me in charge of cub duty. this was not how I imagined my wedding night to be like. "hey little guy, why don't you come with me. We're just trying to help you and your mom, alright?" as also, could not imagine the words that would come out of that cub's mouth only seconds later.

"No! stay back, no one touches my Aunt Nala!" I paused in disbelief. I knew this feeling I had the moment I saw her wasn't by mistake...it was her. It was Nala.

*yikes...this is the start of the most belated reunion! wonder how Nala will feel when she wakes up.

+KawaiiCutie12, I know Simba Simba Simba' hand palm to the face -_-'. Finally seeing Roho and Nala again.
