kings, why do I feel so groggy? It's felt like I've slept for days now. I just feel grained...As my eyes opened slowly, I paused to take in my surroundings. wait...This den didn't seem familiar. I don't remember finding one before we stopped for the night. hell maybe I did, and just don't remember. yesterday feels like forever ago. "Little guy, you awake?"I looked next to me and didn't see him. Immediately I went into panic mode. "Roho...Roho where are you?" I quickly moved to get myself up, only to fall face-first flat on the ground. "What the hell..." my Left leg and shoulder were bound together tight in long Acaia leaves.

Okay, something was happening, I didn't just bind my shoulder in my sleep. And I know Rohoh couldn't have done it himself. Shit. shit shit. "Roho!? Roho where are yo-" suddenly a lioness, I've never seen before in my life came rushing in.

"You're awake good! How-"

" Who the hell are you?!" I blurted out. Not allowing this stranger to finish her sentence. "Where's Roho?! tell me where he is!" I then started to get up. Making use of only my three working legs. the hell kind of situation is this! Who is this random lioness?

"Whoa whoa, calm down just a second let me explain. I'm Kenya, my sister found you and your -"

"WHERE IS HE?!"Baring my teeth. I did not care, three working limbs or not, this lioness was going to be in a hell of a tail whipping. If Rohoh did not appear within my sight in the next 5 seconds. I saw her slowly back away from me.

"Okay okay! I'll get him. Wait one second, my mate has him.I'll be right back..." great, how the hell am I going to get us out of this? that's lioness didn't look too tough, I've fought worse. I'm sure I could take her. It won't be easy. Then there is the question about her Mate? I can take her out before he comes, I'll grab Roho and we can be off... kings my Brain was running at 100 mph.

"Nala!" hearing his little voice brought me back to reality. The panic sensation I felt immediately subsided.

"...Roho, thank goodness. Are you okay?"

"Ya im fine!" My blue orbs scanned his little body up and down. Vitani would kill me- I would kill me, if I brought him back to her with anything on him. I can be the worse for wear but not him. "Auntie are you okay?"

"Yea, I'm fine." I fought back the tears building in the back of my eyes. " I'm fine."

"Then why are you crying?"

"I'm just...so happy to see you, you're okay?"

"Of course I'm okay." kings, his little face could always make me feel better. He's perfect. No wonder his mother is so obsessed with him. I only took my eyes off of him, when I remembered we weren't the only ones in the den.

"Hi again...um is there anything I can do for you?"

"I'm sorry for freaking out on you earlier, I just-"

"No, I get it. Waking up in a strange place can be intimidating. I completely understand." the lioness before me slowly sat down. "You're probably wondering where are you, right?" I shook my head, nervously. even if she did smile, and look warmly at me. I still had no idea who this lioness was "Well you're pretty far from any main pride. our territory pretty small-I think the closest is about three days away honestly."

"Our?"

"Yes, my father, two sisters, and mate live out here."

"Oh...I'm sorry for trespassing." kings, and I thought I could actually fight my way out of here. That would have been suicide.

"It's fine really. My younger sister was the one that found you. Little guy there was trying to steal a meal ha." I turned to give Roho a look. He immediately started to come up with his explanation. Great, I'd love to hear what's about to come out of his mouth next.

"I was hungry!" he protested.

"You could have woken me up Roho."

"I tried, but you were too tired." I would roll my eyes at what he said, but I know he was telling the truth. kings, those last two days were unbearable. I refused to rest for a single second. I know Nuka will send his dogs after us, I know it. Shit, this situation is a mess. I know we won't be able to stay here long. Or else we'll bring trouble to these pride of innocent lions.

"I'm sorry Roho."

"It's okay, how's your shoulder?"

"better."

"You hit your shoulder pretty bad." I looked over to the lioness. " Kenya, my name Kenya by the way. sorry, I know our introduction was...off. Your shoulder was, it a hunting accident?"

"No, she fe-" I was quick to hush Roho. I didn't feel so keen with having our information being told.

"Yes, it was."

"it's fine, you can tell me. Nala right?"

"Yes." I eyed her up and down. but I made sure to focus on her eyes. I would be able to tell if she really was friend or foe, based on her eyes. "And yea it was a fall."

"It must have been a pretty bad fall. Luckily for you, your shoulder wasn't broken, just dislocated. I bound your shoulder so it goes back in place and heals right. You should be back on that leg, within a few weeks."

"Thank you, Kenya."

"You're fine. You and Roho can stay here as long as you need."

"We won't be long, promise at most we'll stay a week."

"No don't hush, take as long as you need. You're safe here." Safe. I would love to feel that way again. And Kenya, did make me feel that way. It must have been her personality. this lioness was heaven-sent. Because I know this situation could be completely different. "Hey, We're about to leave for the hunt soon. I'll call you when we're back, I know you could use a good meal. You should come eat with us, and meet the family if you want."

"oh...i-"

"Yay food!" the little guy went running in circles. "I'm starving! Auntie, they're all really nice! You'll like them. Kenya's mate super funny. You'll really like him too!"

"...okay...Thank you, Kenya, I guess we'll be joining you."

*Happy Sunday! guess who's coming to breakfast LOL. Writing that chapter is going to be so...interesting.
