Chapter 23: Home.
At the top of the Tower of Hanoi, the bright light eventually died down, revealing both Black Dragon Mask and Varis lying down on their platform, defeated. On their platform, on their side, White Dragon Mask and Playmaker stood as the victors of this intense Tag Duel.
"It's done". Azure stated as he emerged from his partner's Duel Disk and crossed his claws. "With this, both Cyberse Worlds, the real world and the world of the Four Dimensions are safe". Ai added, emerging from his partner's Duel Disk. "After a long fought battle, it's finally over". Playmaker said with a smile on his face. White Dragon Mask turned and gave Playmaker a grin, before he turned around to look at their rivals.
The Kogami twins were struggling to get on their knees. "It seems… that we've lost today, White Dragon Mask and Playmaker". Black Dragon Mask slowly said to his opposite and his teammate. Varis managed to get on his knees, before he looked over his left shoulder at White Dragon Mask and Playmaker. "Since we lost, the Tower of Hanoi will shut down". Varis continued as he managed to get on his feet, before he helped his brother stand.
"But remember this, White Dragon Mask! As long as the Ignis are a threat to humanity, we won't run from our destiny!" Black Dragon Mask told his opposite, holding up his right fist. "The same goes to you, Playmaker! We will be back some day!" Varis swore to his rival, before he and Black Dragon Mask turned into green data material and left LINK VRAINS.
"Partner". Azure said as he looked up at his partner, who smiled down at his Ai partner. "I know. We'll be ready for their return". White Dragon Mask replied to his partner, before he turned to look at Playmaker and smiled at him.
"One thing I'm certain of is that when they come back, we'll be ready for the, together. Isn't that right, Playmaker?" White Dragon Mask questioned his comrade, making Playmaker widen his eyes in slight surprise, before he softly smiled. "Yeah, we'll be ready". Playmaker replied to White Dragon Mask, finally feeling himself free of his curse. "Don't forget about me!" Ai called out, getting everyone to smile at the Dark Ignis. "Don't you mean us, Ai?" Azure questioned his friend in an amused tone, getting Ai to look back at him and nod.
Playmaker and White Dragon Mask walked over to the edge of the tower and watched as the tower of Hanoi turned glowed a golden light, before bursting into millions of lights that rained down on LINK VRAINS. "With this, everyone should be free". Playmaker commented, standing right next to White Dragon Mask as they, along with their Ignis partners watched. "Yeah". White Dragon Mask said with a smile as he closed his eyes and felt the breeze.
(Real world)
Back in Den City inside her house, Emma was lying down on a couch with her Duel Disk on her left forearm and activated. However, her Duel Disk then deactivated as she slowly opened her eyes. "I'm…awake?" Emma questioned as she sat up from the couch. "They must have did it. Playmaker and his friends won". Emma said with a smile, before she looked out her window at the setting sun.
At the shoreline was The Gore's warehouse. Inside a sphere of data was in the middle of the wrestling ring, before it disappeared to reveal The Gore collapsing to the ground. "Ha…never had a doubt that those guys would win". Gore remarked as he weakly got back on his feet, smiling despite feeling exhausted. "Looks like I've gotta up my game if I want to beat those two. Just wait Playmaker and White Dragon Mask, we'll be having our rematch soon". Gore said with a smirk as he held up his right fist, the thought of having his rematch filled him with excitement.
At Skye and Akira's house, the two siblings watched the sunset from the windows with bright smiles. "I knew they'd win". Skye said with a smile on her face, happy that the heroes of LINK VRAINS defeated the Knights of Hanoi. "The question now is: what will Playmaker and his friends do now?" Akira questioned with his arms crossed and eyes locked on the sun, wondering what the hero of LINK VRAINS and his masked comrades will do now. Skye turned her head right to look at her brother, her smile still on her face.
"I have no idea, but I do know that they'll come back". Skye told her brother, getting Akira to look at her with a curious look on his face. "And how would you know?" Akira asked his sister, which Skye looked back at the sunset with red cheeks. "Because White Dragon Mask promised me that he'd come back and even bring friends from his world". Skye told Akira, getting him to smile at his sister before he went back to watching the sun.
Meanwhile at the 3 story house near, Rose, Zuzu, Lulu, Celina, Rin and Saya all stood outside the house, watching the sun with bright smiles. They had witnessed their friends Ash and Yusaku win the Tag Duel against Black Dragon Mask and Varis on TV. All of them were proud of their friends' victory and were now watching the sunset with happy thoughts of their victory. Their Duel Disks were attached to their left forearms, only their Ignis partners weren't inside. They still haven't returned from LINK VRAINS to give their powers to Azure and Ai, so the girls were patiently waiting for their return.
Speak of the devil, the six Ignis reappeared inside their partners' Duel Disks, getting the six girls to hold up their devices to look at their partners. "There you guys are". Lulu said with a smile as the Special Ignis emerged from the Duel Disks and looked at their partners.
"Sorry we had to leave without an explanation". Raven apologized to her partner, giving a short bow. "I have to admit, that was awesome. The way you guys, Azure and Ai created a Link 5 Monster was amazing. Nice work out there". Rose praised her partner, getting Blaze to let out a proud look on her face. "Why thank Rose. It was a long shot, but everything turned out alright". Blaze replied to her partner, looking happy that the threat of the Knights of Hanoi was finished.
"Come on guys! We gotta start getting the house ready for the party!" Rin exclaimed with an excited smile, before she turned around and hurried back into the house. "A party? What party?" Wendy questioned her partner, having no idea what Rin was talking about. "A party to celebrate defeating the Knights of Hanoi, saving the Cyberse Worlds and our world". Celina explained for the Witch Ignis as she followed after Rin, taking her time by walking instead of running.
"I like the sound of that. After all that fighting, I'm ready to party and relax". Carla said with a happy expression, already liking the idea for a surprise party. "We better hurry then. The boys won't be gone for long. Knowing Ash, he'll drag Yusaku and Kolter here to celebrate". Zuzu commented with a smile as she hurried to the kitchen to prepare making dinner. "I bet Ai won't miss out on this either". Yuna remarked, emerging from her partner's Duel Disk as Zuzu entered the house.
Saya and Velvet were left outside, looking up at the sunset. "Tomorrow, you're all going back to your world, right?" Velvet asked her partner, which the 7-year-old girl smiled down at her Ignis. "Yep. Tomorrow, we'll be back home and see everyone again after so long. I can't wait!" Saya exclaimed in excitement as she ran into the house, excited that she and everyone else will return to their home soon.
(LINK VRAINS)
Back in LINK VRAINS, the Tower of Hanoi disintegrated, leaving nothing left of it. White Dragon Mask and Playmaker watched the tower from a nearby rooftop, standing by the edge to watch. "The tower is gone, now both worlds' networks will be safe". Azure stated as he emerged from his partner's Duel Disk, before looking up at White Dragon Mask.
"So what will you do now partner?" The Dragon Ignis asked his partner, curious on what he'll do next. "I think that's a pretty clear answer. Tomorrow, we're going back to my world to see our friends again". White Dragon Mask told his partner, getting Azure curious by his words. "We?" Azure questioned his partner in confusion, making White Dragon Mask smirk down at his partner as he held his Duel Disk in front of him.
"After all we've been through, you can't honestly expect me to just leave you here while I go home. No, you and the other special Ignis are coming back home with us". White Dragon Mask told his partner, making Azure look down in thought as he held his chin with his right claw. The Dragon Ignis was silent for a few moments, before he looked up at his partner. "Okay then. I've always wanted to see with my eyes the world of the Four Dimensions". Azure said to his partner, having wanted to see the world of the Four Dimensions with his own eyes.
"Glad to hear". White Dragon Mask said with a smirk, before he turned to look at Playmaker, who was staring at where the Tower of Hanoi disintegrated. "We've done all we can here in LINK VRAINS. Let's return to the real world". White Dragon Mask told his comrade, getting Playmaker to turn around and nodded to him. Spheres of data surrounded them the two for a few seconds before disappearing to reveal them both gone.
(Real world)
Back in the real world, Kolter rushed into the hall of the Kogami household with an urgent look on his face. "Yusaku! Ash!" The purple haired male exclaimed in concern, before he spotted the two facing the window, watching a white boat sail away from them.
Aboard the white boat was Ryoken, Ryuga and Izumi. Ryoken and Izumi were standing in the front of the boat, while Ryuga was at the back, staring at his childhood home, looking through the window into his rival's eyes. "This is far from over. One day, I'll be back to settle the score with you!" Ryuga swore to his rival, thrusting his right fist out to Ash. The White Dragon Emperor narrowed his eyes at seeing this, before he held his right fist out to Ryuga, accepting his future challenge. The two heroes of LINK VRAINS watched the boat sail into the sunset, before it eventually disappeared from view.
"So, they high tailed it out of here, huh?" Kolter questioned as he stood by Yusaku's side, looking out the ocean. "Yeah, but this isn't the last time we've seen of them. They'll be back someday". Yusaku told his friend, his eyes focused on the sun where he saw the boat disappear. "So, what will we do now?" Ai questioned as he emerged from Yusaku's Duel Disk, looking up at his partner.
"Simple, we celebrate our victory". Azure answered his friend, getting Ai, Yusaku and Kolter to look at him and Ash. "We've fought hard to save two worlds. We deserve to have a party for everything we did in the battle against the Hanoi". Ash explained to the three, having already made plans to celebrate their victory.
"You know, Ash has a point. After everything we've been through, we deserve to relax and have fun". Kolter said in agreement, growing a smile on his face. "Yeah, I agree. Let's party!" Ai exclaimed with his hands in the air, wanting to celebrate their victory. "I guess it wouldn't hurt. I suppose the girls are already getting a party ready at your house, right?" Yusaku asked Ash, which the White Dragon Emperor nodded to him, before he looked at Dr. Kogami's body. When he and Yusaku had returned to the real world, they found out that Ryoken and Ryuga had left their father's body behind. Their reasons were unknown to Ash, but this did gave him the opportunity to settle some personal matters.
"Listen, before we have our party, there's one more thing I would like to do. But I have a feeling you won't like it". Ash told his friends, getting them all confused by his words. "What is it?" Yusaku asked his comrade, getting Ash to turn to face both him and Kolter. "I'd like to give Dr. Kogami a proper burial, pay my respects to him and a last farewell". Ash told them, making Yusaku, Kolter, Azure and Ai widen their eyes in shock at the White Dragon Emperor's request.
"Why? He's the one who started the Hanoi Project… the Lost Incident. He kidnapped me, Kolter's brother, and other kids as well, and we all suffered. And don't forget he even kidnapped you, Rose and the others as well, took you all away from your homes! So why do you want to give him a proper burial?" Yusaku questioned his friend with an upset tone, wondering why he wants to give the man that made them all suffer a burial.
Ash didn't flinch at Yusaku's tone, he turned to look at the sunset and stared at it. "I understand your anger. Despite his questionable actions, he was still a man. He was someone who had hopes and dreams for a better future. Besides, in a way, he gave me Azure". Ash told his comrade as he looked down at his Ignis partner, who faced his partner with a soft expression.
"In a way, this led to me finally meeting my partner. I even reunited with Raven, Carla, Wendy, Yuna, my sister, Blaze and my daughter Velvet". Azure said as he looked at the sunset, remembering when he first met his partner when he brought him to this world.
"Not to mention, thanks to Azure and the other special Ignis being created, we were called to this world and met you guys and the great Duelists of this world like Blue Angel, The Gore, Ghost Girl, even Black Dragon Mask and Varis. In a way Yusaku, you finally got the closure to move forward from your terrible past". Ash explained with a smile as he looked at his two friends, who were a little awestruck by the White Dragon Emperor's words.
Kolter began to grin at Ash. "Yeah, you're right. Despite many bad things happening, a lot of good things happened as well. We met you guys and you all helped us, and we even made new friends". Kolter said with a smile, thinking back to how he and Yusaku became friends with Ash and the girls.
Yusaku let out a rare smile at his friend and comrade. "You have a point, Ash. To be honest, I'm glad Azure and the others brought you and the girls here to our world. You guys helped me move on from the Lost Incident, and that's something I can never thank you enough for". Yusaku told his friend, happy that he met his friend, who fight by his side against the Hanoi.
"Thanks for understanding". Ash thanked his friends with a smile on his face. Ash, Yusaku, and Kolter all began making a burial for Dr. Kogami outside of the house. Kolter dug a hole, while Ash and Yusaku carried the body outside. Azure and Ai just watched, unable to help with their small bodies. Eventually, Ash, Kolter and Yusaku were standing in front of Dr. Kogami's burial with the two Duelists holding their Duel Disks up for their partners to look at the gravestone. The gravestone hadDr. Kogami's name written on it with the words 'beloved father and scientist' on it.
Ash knelt down to the burial, before he gave a short bow. "We may have never properly met, but know that I'm thankful. What you did may have made me, my friends and family suffer in the past, but because of that, you gave Azure to me. Thank you, Dr. Kogami for bringing my partner to life. I'll… try to make your dream of both our worlds living in coexistence a reality. Goodbye". Ash bid farewell to the doctor as he stood up on his feet, before he turned to face his friends.
"Now that this is over, let's get going to my house". Ash said with a smile as he went to his Duel Runner. His Duel Runner was where he left it, parked right next to Kolter's van. "Alright, it's party time!" Ai exclaimed in excitement with his fists in the air, making Kolter chuckle. "Lead the way, Ash". Kolter told his friend as he and Yusaku entered the van.
Ash put his helmet on, before he grabbed both handlebars. He twisted them as his Duel Runner's wheels started spinning, before taking off down the road, with Kolter driving after him. The drive took 30 minutes, before they all arrived at Ash's house, which was decorated for a party.
They all got off their vehicles with Ash parking his Duel Runner next to the garage door. "Nice place". Kolter complemented, looking up at the house. "Thanks". Ash thanked Kolter for his kind words. The front door opened to reveal Lulu, who was carrying a bottle of soft drink in his hand and had a smile on her face. "Welcome back, Satoshi". Lulu greeted her mate warmly, getting the White Dragon Emperor to smile back at her.
"I'm home". Ash replied to Lulu as he brought up his Duel Disk with Azure emerging from it. "Are Raven and the others waiting inside?" Azure asked Lulu, who smiled down at the Dragon Ignis. "Everyone's waiting for you two, along with Kolter, Yusaku and Ai". Lulu told Azure as she looked up and smiled at her two friends, making Kolter slightly widen his eyes.
"You were expecting us?" Kolter asked in surprise that Lulu and the others were expecting him and Yusaku. "Of course. We're a team, so we all celebrate together. Please come on in". Lulu said as she held the door open for Yusaku and Kolter. "Well… thanks Lulu". Yusaku thanked the Xyz version of the bracelet girls as he and Kolter walked inside.
Once Yusaku and Kolter were in the house, Lulu turned to look at her boyfriend. Lulu opened her mouth to speak, but Ash held his right hand up, stopping her. "Don't worry. Tomorrow, we'll be back home in our world. Just for tonight, let's party without concern". Ash told his mate with a smile, who breathed a sigh of relief before she nodded to Ash.
"Okay, but we're joining in". Lulu told her mate as she grabbed his right hand and began dragging him into the house. "I can walk by myself". Ash chuckled as Lulu brought him to the living room, where the White Dragon Emperor saw the whole room was decorated with a flag saying 'congratulations on defeating the Hanoi'.
Ash saw everyone's Duel Disks on a table, where the Ignis were having their own party. Celina, Rin and Rose were talking to each other, making plans on what to do when they return to the world of the Four Dimensions. Zuzu was giving Yusaku a drink, while Kolter went to the BBQ outside.
Ash smiled at the sight, before he cried out in surprise as Saya appeared out of nowhere to tackle and hug him. "You were great, daddy!" Saya told her father with a bright smile, making Ash chuckle as he rubbed her head with his right hand. "Thanks Saya, you did great yourself". Ash praised his daughter, proud of her for defeating Specter.
"Could you take Azure to the other Ignis?" Ash asked his daughter as he handed her his Duel Disk, which she happily nodded to him. "Of course, daddy!" Saya replied to Ash before she ran over to the table to bring Azure to his friends. Ash smiled as he watched his daughter, before he looked up in thought.
'Everyone, tomorrow we'll be back, so please be patient. Pikachu, I'll be back soon buddy'. Ash thought to himself, thinking about all his friends in his world and in the Pokémon World. "Satoshi, quit daydreaming and join the party already!" Rose cried out to her brother, getting Ash to sigh with a smile. "Alright, I'm coming". Ash replied to his sister as he walked over to her to join the party. The rest of that afternoon, everyone celebrated their victory over the Hanoi and for retrieving the program that'll return them all home.
((VRAINS opening 1: With the Wind)
A digital tunnel appeared with balls of data going down, before a glowing eye appeared. The eye then disappeared to reveal a data Duel Disk attached to a digital shadow of Playmaker riding on his Duel Board and holding his left arm up. The digital copy rode his Duel Board, before he transformed into a bright flash of light. The light changed to several different colored birds flying into the digital tunnel, before another bright flash appeared. The flash cleared and the digital tunnel transformed into a bright light blue world with the opening title 'Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS: White Dragon Emperor' in front of the screen, before it zoomed in.
"I run Across the universe".
The screen changed to show the slightly clouded blue sky above Den City with the sun shining. The screen then changed to show a street of Den City, where Naoki Shima running up to Yusaku, Ash and Rose, carrying his school bag on his back and waving his right hand to them. Ash and Yusaku paid no attention to him as they carried their school bags over their right shoulders. Rose noticed him as she walked besides her brother, holding her bag with both her hands in front of her, before she lifted her right hand and waved back at Naoki. The wind softly blew past Yusaku and Ash, blowing their hair in the breeze, but the two tilted their heads down slightly.
"At the speed of light".
On a nearby bridge full of cars and buses, a black clothed male with a hood on, jogging at the left side of the bridge.
"Begin Loading".
The camera zoomed in to show that the black clothed male was actually Gore, who was lightly breathing as he jogged.
"Open the door to dreams".
The screen changed to show that the day had changed to late afternoon with the sun begging to set for the day. Watching the sun set was Skye Zaizen, before she turned to her left and showed the sad look on her face. Nearby on a grassy hill, Lulu, Celina, Rin, Zuzu and Saya were all watching the sunset as well. Celina was lying down on the grass with her hands folded behind her head; Rin was sitting down with her left leg pulled up and her left hand hanging on it. Zuzu was standing up as she watched the sunset with her hands folded behind her and finally, Lulu was sitting down on the grass with her hands wrapped around Saya.
The screen changed to show Kolter watching the sunset from in his van on the driveway, holding up a hotdog with his right hand. The screen changed once more to show that it was now late in the dark for Den City. Akira Zaizen was standing next to his car, looking off into the distance with his right hand in his pocket.
"VRAINS spreads".
"Believe in myself".
The screen changed to show the bright city of Den City with the buildings night lights up and multiple screens flying around the city. Standing in the middle of the light city was Yusaku, Ash and Rose standing besides one another, carrying their school bags. Rose was standing at the left, Yusaku in the middle and Ash was at the right.
Different colored screens came and went across the city, but the three paid no attention to them as they continued to face forward. Just then, a bright light came up from behind the three and completely lit up the screen with only the three teenager's bodies that can be seen in the light. The screen zoomed into to show a close up of Yusaku's face, before zooming out, and then changed to show Ash's and repeat, before changing to Rose's face as well.
"VRAINS continues".
The screen changed back to show the three standing in the bright light. Just then, their Ignis partners, Ai, Azure and Blaze all came out of nowhere and flew forward. They disappeared and were replaced with brief flashes of child version of Yusaku, Ash and Rose. The images were replaced by Playmaker's left arm with his Duel Disk activating.
Ai appeared in eye form in the orb of Playmaker's Duel Disk with a data stream inside of his eye. The screen changed to show Playmaker's right hand with the thumb, index and middle fingers out, while the ring and pinkie fingers were tucked in. Playmaker waved his hand down, leaving a golden line of energy with his golden stripes glowing.
The screen changed to show Yusaku standing up, holding his left arm up with his Duel Disk strapped on with his deck slotted in. Just then, the words "Into the VRAINS" appeared on the blade of the Duel Disk in light blue writing, before Yusaku's body began glowing blue.
"The circuit draws the future".
Inside of LINK VRAINS, three flashes, a light blue, rosy red and silvery white appeared in the Data Material wind, before they all cleared to reveal Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask all surfing on their Duel Boards besides one another with their Duel Disks activated, holding five cards with their left hands and facing forward.
The screen zoomed in as the three Duelists placed their right hands on the top cards of their decks, before the camera shifted to their determined filled faces. The three then drew their cards in dramatic fashions, leaving different coloured flares of light as they swiped their hands out.
The screen then changed to show their second ace monsters appearing in dramatic fashions. First, Decode Talker flew in with his energy sword in his right hand, before he spun around and took a stance with his blade rested on his right shoulder and his left hand close to taking hold of it. Then, White Dragon – Blue Link Dragon and Rose Dragon – Frozen Blue Rose flew in from above, before they flew past each other. The two then stopped besides one another and roared.
"I'll grab it with my own hands. Yeah"
The screen zoomed out to up above to show the three Duelists holding their right hands out in different styles. Playmaker had his right hand out to the side, White Dragon Mask had his right hand held out forward and Rose Dragon Mask held her right hand up into the sky. Then, their main monsters, Firewall Dragon, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon flew over them, flying besides each other.
The three dragons then stopped and reared their head up, before unleashing powerful roars all together as they flew behind their own Duelists besides their fellow monsters. Firewall Dragon with Decode Talker, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and White Dragon – Blue Link Dragon and Black Rose Dragon with Rose Dragon – Frozen Blue Rose. All of them faced forward with Decode Talker holding his blade out, ready to take on whatever challenges await them.
With small bits of fire briefly appearing, the screen then changed to show an army of Knights of Hanoi gathered together behind Specter.
"Access!"
The screen changed to briefly show the right side of Varis with a red background, before changing to show the left side of Black Dragon Mask. The screen changed to show Topologic Bomber Dragon flying over the city of LINK VRAINS, releasing shockwaves of energy as it flew towards the camera.
"Star swirling, Data Storm!"
Topologic Bomber Dragon released a powerful roar with the orb inside its mouth gleaming brightly. The screen changed to show a purple Data Storm, a white one and a rosy red one beginning to take shape, before all three began ragging across LINK VRAINS.
"I'm now With the Wind".
The screen changed to show Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose all still riding atop their Duel Boards together in the Data Material wind with the end of their boards leaving a electric wind surge trail. The three Duelists held their left arms up in front of them with Playmaker leading them.
"Link with my soul".
All three of them then curved to the right, kicking up Data Material wind at the camera, before it cleared to reveal Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask surfing forward towards the screen. The camera zoomed in on Playmaker's face first, then switched over to White Dragon Mask's, then finally Black Rose Dragon Mask's face with all three of them having determined filled faces.
"Speed up, Data Storm!"
The screen changed to a light blue world filled with hearts, before Blue Angel appeared, giving a wink with her left eye as she spun around, leaving a blue tail with her left hand out. She then stopped fully with her left hand up towards the sky with a bright smile. The blue world changed to purple as Blue Angel's ace monster, Trickstar Holly Angel, appeared with a wide smile, before she flew out and took a pose with her whip.
Then, the world changed from purple to light green as Holly Angel flew to behind her Duelist and taking a stance, while Trickstar Divaridis appeared in front of the camera, giving a wink as she held her microphone up to her face with her right hand and held her left hand out, before she flew to Blue Angel's right side and posed.
"Now Win the Race".
The world changed to a rosy red as Trickstar Bella Madonna appeared and swung her axe down, before she joined her fellow Trickstars on Blue Angel's left. The world changed into a four split screen with all four previous colors from before behind Blue Angel and her monsters.
"Connected world".
The screen changed to show the smiling face of the Gore, before he fell back to show that he was surfing atop his Duel Board. Then, Goku The Great Ogre appeared on the left side and Gouki The Giant Ogre appeared on the right side, before Gore flew past his monsters in between them and gave a smirk as he held his fists up.
"No matter when".
The screen changed to show the real world, before Emma drove out of a tree and into the air on her motorcycle. Her hair blew in the breeze as the camera zoomed in on her face, before it shot out upon Emma jumping off of her motorcycle and throwing her helmet off. The two virtually disappeared as Emma fell, before her body began glowing light purple.
She spun around as the purple glowing came off of her as sparkles, revealing that she had changed into her avatar, Ghost Gal, which she stared into the screen.
"Nothing is impossible".
In a virtual world, red data appeared and came together, before forming 5 circles that changed to light green. Varis and Black Dragon Mask appeared with their left hands up as the five circles took positions with a familiar creature slowly appearing out of nowhere behind the leaders of the Knights of Hanoi. The five circles then glowed brightly, before dyeing down to reveal that they were the five crystals of Cracking Dragon, who was now behind Varis and Black Dragon Mask.
"Strive for hope".
The screen shifted from Varis and Black to Cracking Dragon's face as the Machine-type gathered energy and formed a blue sphere in front of its open mouth. The screen changed to show LINK VRAINS again with Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask riding their Duel Boards.
Playmaker's stripes gleamed golden as he, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask placed their right hands on their decks and took hold of the top cards. The camera zoomed in on Playmaker's face, before it zoomed out as he, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask all drew their cards in dramatic fashions, leaving different coloured flares of light. Playmaker's was orange, White Dragon Mask's was silvery white and Black Rose Dragon Mask left a rosy red one.
"And ride the wind!"
Varis narrowed his eyes at the sight of them, before he swiped his right hand out to show that he and Black Dragon Mask were now on their Duel Boards. Two bright flashes appeared behind them, before their ace monsters, Borreload Dragon and Eclipserage Deadstar Dragon appeared from them and roared.
Decode Talker and Novaforce Stardust Dragon appeared out of nowhere, before the Cyberse Monster flew up towards Borreload Dragon and Novaforce Stardust Dragon flew towards Eclipserage Deadstar Dragon. The two dragons swung their fists at one another and clashed, while Decode Talker swung his blade and Borreload Dragon thrust his right claw out.
"Oh yeah!"
The four monsters collided with one another, creating a great light of power that blinded the screen, before it cleared to reveal Cyberse Wizard in a purple world. He spun around and took his activated staff into both his hands and released a light blue energy wave. The purple world changed to a yellow one as Link Slayer then appeared with his energy blades activated with the light blue energy wave that Cyberse Wizard released being his right energy blade.
He swiped his left blade down, before he left the screen as the world changed into navy coloured one with Bitron flying down towards the screen from above. He flew up to the screen with the camera zooming in on its left eye, before a brief flash appeared.
From the flash, Playmaker, White Dragon Mask, Black Rose Dragon Mask, Black Dragon Mask and Varis all appeared on their Duel Boards, taking a moment to glare at one another, before they all passed each other. Then, they turned into different colours that fell into a black portal, before Gore, Blue Angel, Purple Night, Green Witch, Music Singer and Lunalight Dancer appeared on their Duel Boards as well, before turning into different coloured lights and fell into the black portal as well.
The black portal changed into the same tunnel from the beginning with digital spheres falling into it, before it changed to Den City.
"Oh yeah!"
A pure white bird flew up from the ground and into the sky, heading towards the sun.

Cold was the night with stars twinkling in the sky above. At Ash and the girls' house, everyone was celebrating their victory over the Knights of Hanoi. "Cheers!" Everyone called out as they raised their glasses into the air as a toast of their victory.
The lights were on in the backyard with Ash, Lulu, Celina, Zuzu, Rin, Rose, Saya, Kolter and Yusaku having a celebration party. Ash, Yusaku, Saya and Rose were sitting around a table, having hotdogs, while Kolter was cooking more on the BBQ. The Bracelet Girls were currently swimming in the pool, wearing bikini outfits, only different colors for all of them.
They had enough food, soft drinks and juice for the party. The food was mostly hot dogs, along with fries courtesy of the resident cook and hacker Kolter.
Speaking of which, Kolter grabbed a glass full of soda and held it up. "I want to give our thanks to Yusaku, Ash, Lulu, Rin, Celina, Zuzu and Rose, the heroes who saved LINK VRAINS, our world and the world of the Four Dimensions from the Varis, Black Dragon Mask, and the Knights of Hanoi. More than our heroes, you've also become great partners and friends. Cheers!" Kolter cried out as he raised his cup filled with soda with the others holding up their cups.
Meanwhile on the table, everyone's Duel Disks were gathered around with the 8 Ignis having a conversation. "I'm actually enjoying this. The atmosphere is very welcoming after everything we went through". Azure commented, sitting down with his right hand over his right knee.
"You can say that again". Ai said in agreement to his best friend, standing up with his hands on his hips. "So, tomorrow is the day we see our partners' home world with our own eyes, right?" Blaze questioned, standing up with her arms crossed. "Yeah. It's been 2 months since we brought them here to this world. It's only right that they go home and see their friends and family again". Raven told the Rose Dragon Ignis, sitting down with her legs over the Duel Disk.
"I have to admit, going into a new world is pretty exciting. I'm only worried about our hard work creating Link Monsters will go to waste there". Yuna remarked, getting all the other Ignis to look at her. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there". Carla told her friend, her tail wrapping around her left leg.
"What are your plans, Ai?" Wendy questioned the Dark Ignis, getting Ai's attention as he looked at her. "I'm planning to find my Cyberse World and reunite with the others". Ai told the Witch Ignis as he crossed his arms, getting Azure's attention. "In that case, you should come with us to the world of the Four Dimensions". Azure told his friend, getting Ai and the other Ignis' attention.
"Why?" The Dark Ignis asked the Dragon Ignis, wondering why he should go with them to the world of the Four Dimensions. "My partner has some… close friends with the highest form of tech back in their worlds. I can connect them to this world's network and find your Cyberse World very quickly. If you go off on your own, it would take you a while to find it, right?" Azure explained to the Dark Ignis, who slowly started to get an excited look on his face.
"Really!? Are you sure!?" Ai asked his friend if he was sure, which Azure nodded to him. "In that case, I'll come along and see this world for myself!" Ai declared as he held up his right hand with his index finger out with all the Special Ignis watching him. "Even after nearly being destroyed, you still have the biggest ego ever". Carla commented, making herself and all the other Ignis burst out laughing, while Ai groaned.
Raven slowly stopped laughing and looked at Saya's Duel Disk, where her daughter Velvet was still in her eye form. "Velvet, don't you think it's time you showed your real form again". Velvet said to her daughter, getting all the other Ignis' attention as they looked at the child Ignis.
Velvet looked nervously at being the center of attention. "I… I don't know". Velvet replied to her mother, getting her to look worried. "You haven't shown your true form ever since you and Saya became partners. Why?" Carla asked the child Ignis, getting her to look at the Cat Ignis before she sighed.
"I'm… nervous". Velvet finally admitted, getting all of the Ignis curious, except Azure. "Why are you nervous of showing your true form?" Wendy asked the child Ignis, wondering why she is nervous. Instead of Velvet, Azure was the one who answered. "It's because she's a hybrid". Azure told the group of Ignis, getting them all to look at their leader.
"Unlike us, Velvet isn't based off of one thing. She's based off of me and Raven, in other words a dragon and bird, thus making her a hybrid". Azure explained to his friends, telling them why his daughter is nervous to show her form. Ai looked at Velvet with a concerned look. "Is that true, Velvet?" Ai asked his niece in concern, completely worried for the Child Ignis.
Velvet looked at her family, before she slowly nodded. "Just because you're different doesn't mean you have to hid what you are. We've been with our partners so long now and we trust them and they trust us". Blaze told her niece, who looked at the Rose Dragon Ignis.
"I know that, it's just that I…" Velvet tried to say, but stopped and looked down. "Don't be ashamed of what you are. Show your real self to us. Just know that no matter what, we'll be here for you". Raven told her daughter with a gentle look, as if she was smiling at Velvet.
Velvet was silent for a few seconds, before she closed her eye. Suddenly, the orb of the Duel Disk began glowing, before a black figure began to emerge from it. The figure sprouted wings with a tail coming out as well. However, feathers began to form on the wings. The figure grew spiky white hair.
The glow disappeared to reveal a child version of the Ignis, who looked like a crossover of Azure and Raven. She had Raven's figure, hair, feathers and colour, but Azure's wings, tail and hair color. The figure had talon feet and claws for hands. The figure had a female face like Raven. This was Velvet's true form.
"There's my girl!" Ai cried out at seeing Velvet's true form, which the Child Ignis covered herself with her wings. "There's no need to be shy, Velvet". Saya said as she sat next to the Ignis, getting the Child Ignis to look at her. "You're… not afraid of me?" Velvet asked her partner, who shook her head with a smile.
"No way! You're awesome and special". Saya told her partner, getting her to finally lost her nervous look. "Thank you, partner". Velvet thanked her partner, who continued to smile as she picked up her Duel Disk. The other Ignis watched and smiled at Velvet and Saya.
Meanwhile around the BBQ, Ash, Yusaku and Kolter were watching everyone with smiles on their faces. "Everyone looks like they're having a good time". Kolter stated with a smile as he took a bite out of his hotdog. "They deserve it. It was a hard fought battle, so we deserve a chance to relax". Yusaku told Kolter, watching as Saya spoke to her partner with a happy smile
"So, what are your plans now that the Knights of Hanoi are gone?" Ash asked his two friends, wondering what they'll do now with the Knights of Hanoi defeated. "I'm planning to take care of my brother and help him recover". Kolter told Ash what he plans to do now. Ash turned to look at Yusaku, who looked away.
"I don't know yet. I've been focused on my revenge that I didn't think of my future". Yusaku told Ash, getting him to look down in thought, before he snapped his right hand's fingers. "That settles it! You two are coming with us to our world!" Ash declared, making Kolter and Yusaku widen their eyes at him.
"Mind telling us why?" Kolter questioned the White Dragon Emperor, wondering why he decided to take them with him back to his home world. "I want you two to meet our friends and families. Plus, I think I know a few people who can help Yusaku decide what he wants for his future". Ash explained to his two friends, getting Yusaku curious.
"Who are these people that you're talking about?" Yusaku asked his friend, wondering who it is that Ash is saying that can help him. "They're five of the greatest Duelists in history and in the Four Dimensions". Ash answered Yusaku with a smirk, getting him to slightly widen his eyes.
Meanwhile with the girls, Celina walked up to Rose, who was sitting down on a chair before she took notice of her friend approaching her. "Hey Rose, how about we have a Duel?" Celina suggested to the Rose Dragon Empress, getting her to smirk at the Lunalight Duelist.
"You want to Duel me?" Rose asked her friend, which Celina nodded to her with a smirk. Rose reached out and grabbed her Duel Disk, getting Blaze's attention as she looked up at her partner as the Empress of the Rose Dragons stood up from her chair. "Well then bring it on!" Rose declared with a smirk as she placed her Duel Disk on her arm with Blaze .
"It is on". Celina said with a smile as she grabbed her Duel Disk, ignoring Carla's surprised cries, and placed it on her left forearm. "Here we go again". Carla remarked as she went into her eye form. The two girls stood a few feet away from each other as they slotted their decks into their Duel Disks. "Game on!" The two shouted out as they drew their starting hand.
Lulu, Rin and Zuzu watched Rose and Celina from in the pool, laughing in joy. "Even in times of relaxation, Celina is always eager to have a Duel". Lulu commented with a smile as she watched Celina Fusion Summon Cat Dancer on her first turn.
"She's not going to let her Dueling get rusty". Rin said with a smile as she and the girls watched Rose take her turn. "Doesn't look like Rose won't let her Dueling get rusty either". Zuzu remarked as Rose summoned Rose Dragon – Cherry Tail and Blue Rose Dragon, using them to Synchro Summon her ace, Black Rose Dragon.
The rest of the night, the group of friends continued to party the night away, glad that they defeated their enemy and could finally go home.
(The next morning)
The next day inside Kolter's van parked outside the house, Ash, Yusaku and Kolter were typing away on the keyboards. Ash's Duel Disk was placed on the table next to Yusaku's Duel Disk with wires connected to it, connecting the Duel Disk to the computer. Watching from around them were the girls with their Duel Disks attached, hoping that everything would go well.
Last night, everyone had a great time at the party, but soon they had to finish for the day. Ash offered Kolter and Yusaku to spend the night at their house instead of going back to their homes. They agreed and slept on the couches, knowing that tomorrow was an important day for their friends.
So here they were, working on making contact with the world of the Four Dimensions before attempting to return home. "We should get a signal on the other side soon''. Kolter told his friends as he continued to press the keyboard's buttons.
"Think anybody will pick up?" Lulu asked her mate as she held her face with both her hands, her Duel Disk already attached to her left forearm. "I hope so, but I honestly hope he doesn't pick up'' Ash replied to his Xyz mate, narrowing his eyes a little. "He who?" Rin asked her noyfriend, leaning against the doors with her right leg against the doorframe. Before Ash could answer, Kolter spoke up. "Hey guys, I made contact. I'll set up a screen for us to see who's on the other side". Kolter told his friends, getting their attention as they grew hopefully looks. A full screen appeared on the computer and their greeting was... unusual.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"
A very loud voice roared out from the computer, surprising everyone in the room as they widened their eyes. The voice not only shook the van and house, it even shook all of Den City, getting pretty much all of the residents to either look up in surprise, or widen their eyes. "You losers have some explaining to do!" The same voice exclaimed, getting everyone to look and see that it was Eizen who answered them and was the cause of the very loud greeting. The black haired teen had his face against the screen, blocking out everything else from his side as he glared at them.
The White Dragon Emperor immediately groaned upon seeing his old rival. "You gotta be kidding me, right?" Ash grumbled out at the sight of his childhood rival. "You got some nerve Satoshi, running away from our Duel!" Eizen shouted out at Ash, making Yusaku, Kolter and the Ignis wince at his loud voice. "This guy has a temper". Azure commented as he emerged from his partner's Duel Disk.
"You have no idea". Rose told the White Dragon Ignis with her arms crossed and her eyes narrowed at Eizen. "Hey jackass, out of the way!" Another familiar voice called out from the screen, before Eizen was pulled away from the screen and thrown to the side. The screen revealed that it was Ginta who had thrown his childhood friend away, before he looked at the screen and grinned..
Ginta hasn't changed much, only growing taller and having spiker hair than 2 years ago. Ginta hasn't changed his style of clothes from 2 years ago either, only they were a different size to fix him now. "Ginta!" Zuzu called out in delight to see a friend and member of the disbanded Lancers. "Yo guys! Long time no see!" Ginta greeted his friends, giving them a finger salute and a wink. "Are we glad to see you". Celina said with a smile on her face, glad that after so long, they've finally made contact with home.
"Satoshi! Rose!" A familiar voice called out, making Satoshi and Rose widen their eyes. Ginta moved away from the screen to show that Ash and Rose's mother, Akiza, was there, looking at the screen with tears in her eyes. Her appearance hasn't changed, she was still wearing black tights with brown stiletto ankle boots, a long sleeved draping white coat with a black shirt underneath. Her long flowing auburn locks was still over her shoulders. "Mum!" Rose called out in joy as she placed her hands on the computer screen with Akiza doing the same as her daughter.
"Looks like we we've finally made contact". A familiar voice stated, before Bruno appeared on the screen, wearing his casual clothes that he's wearied since his teenage years. "Uncle Bruno!" Rose cried out in joy at seeing her uncle figure. "Forgetting someone?" A female voice said, before Sherry appeared behind her husband, wearing a yellow dress with her hair freely loose.
"Aunt Sherry!" Rose cried out in joy at seeing the blond haired woman. "Someone's still missing". Ash commented with a smile, getting Rose to look at her brother, before she gasped as she remembered one of her childhood friends. "How stupid of me! Where's Clara?" Rose questioned, wanting to see her rival. "Right here". A female voice stated, before Bruno and Sherry's 17-year-old daughter, Clara LeBlanc appeared on the screen. Clara was a long blue haired young woman with bangs that curl away from her face in a horizontal direction and has emerald color eyes.
Clara was wearing a white riding uniform. It was white with red accents that run along the outside of her arms, down the outside of her legs, and wrap around her calves. She also wearied a red undershirt. Her uniform also consisted of grey shoulder, knee, elbow, and shin guards, while she wore charcoal colored padding over her chest. This riding outfit was a gift from her mother.
"Hello everyone, long time no see!" Clara greeted her friends with a smile as she gave a wave. "Same to you!" Rin replied to her friend as she gave a wave back. "Thank goodness, we were so worried". Akiza said in relief to see her children safe and sound. "Sorry that we worried you". Ash apologized to his mother, feeling bad he made her worry again. "Where's dad?" Rose asked her mother, wondering where her father is. "He's in the Pendulum Dimension. He's been working with Declan to search for you two ever since you guys disappeared". Akiza replied to her daughter, keeping her hands on the screen with Rose doing the same.
"Heck, even our parents have been searching around the Four Dimensions for you guys!" Ginta stated as he appeared back on the screen behind Akiza. Suddenly, someone grabbed Ginta's shoulder, before he was pulled away from the screen. Then a cartoon dust cloud appeared behind Akiza, showing Ginta and Eizan fighting each other.
"You've got some nerves to throw me away!" Eizan snapped at the Blackwing duelist. "Get off your high horse already, would ya!" Ginta snapped back at Eizan as the two continued to bicker among themselves. Then, Clara grabbed both Eizen and Ginta's heads, before she slammed them into each other.
"Knock it off you idiots!" Clara snapped at the two as Eizen and Ginta collapsed to the ground. Ash, Rin and Rose sweat dropped at seeing their childhood friends acting as childish as ever, while Lulu, Zuzu, Celina and Saya giggled. The Ignis, Yusaku and Kolter were sweat dropping as well.
"What about uncle Kalin, aunt Misty, Maleficent and Zion?" Ash asked his mother, wondering about his uncle, aunt and childhood friends. "They've been searching around the Four Dimensions as well. Just what happened to all of you?" Akiza questioned her son, wanting to know just what happened that pulled her children away from her.
"Well… it's a long story". Rose said to her mother, looking down at her Duel Disk, where Blaze had returned to her eye form. "But we'll tell you as much as we can". Ash promised his mother, before he turned and gave a smile at Yusaku and Kolter, who had stayed quiet this whole conversation.
"But first introductions are needed". The White Dragon Emperor said as he gestured to Yusaku and Kolter, getting Akiza, Bruno, Sherry, Clara, Ginta and Eizen to finally notice the two. "Oh my, who are these two?" Clara asked with a smile, wondering who Yusaku and Kolter are.
"These are our new friends, Cal Kolter and Yusaku Fujiki". Rin introduced the two to her friends and family, with Kolter smiling at them. "Hi there, it's nice to meet all of ya". Kolter greeted Ash's friends and family with a smile. "H-hello there". Yusaku greeted, sounding a bit nervous because he wasn't very good with groups of people.
"They're friends we made over here in Den City. They've helped us a lot". Celina told the residents of the Synchro Dimension with a smile on her face, getting Akiza to let out a grateful smile at Yusaku and Kolter. "Thank you two for helping my children and their friends". The former Black Rose thanked the two, getting Kolter and Yusaku to blush a bit.
"It was no problem. They've helped us just as much as we've helped them". Kolter said to the mother of the White Dragon Emperor and Empress of the Rose Dragons. "W-we're actually really grateful for meeting your son and daughter, along with the others". Yusaku added, turning to gave Ash a smile, one that he returned.
"Now that introductions are out of the way, could you tell us what happened to all of you?" Clara questioned, wanting to hear what happened to her childhood friends, getting Ash, Rose, Saya and the Bracelet Girls' attention. "Alright, we'll start talking". The White Dragon Emperor replied to his childhood friend with narrowed eyes, now getting down to business.
"First, do you remember what happened to Rin and I 9 years ago?" Rose asked her friends and family with narrowed eyes, making the residents of the Synchro Dimension frown. "…We remember…" Akiza said with a sad look in her eyes, making both Ash and Rose frown in concern for her.
The subject of 9 years ago was forbidden, not because it was taboo, but because of the sadness it brings. It was just one year after Ash was sent to the Xyz Dimension, one day while Rose and Rin went off to play together, they just disappeared off the face of the earth with no trace.
Akiza was devastated at the disappearance of her second child and was in despair for 3 weeks. Everyone took care of her for the next year, while searching hard for Rose, Rin and Ash, but found no trace of them for a long time. One year passed and one day, Rose and Rin reappeared out of nowhere. Akiza was beyond relieved at seeing her daughter return, who was actually a bit confused.
Akiza asked Rose and Rin what happened to them, but to hers and everyone's surprise, the two young girls had no idea. They just remembered playing together, and that was all. They couldn't even remember what happened afterwards. Akiza explained to the two girls that they've been missing for a year, much to Rose and Rin's disbelief. Deciding to forget about it, everyone returned to their normal lives. Sure they've talked about the incident, Akiza even asked Ash's adopted family in the Xyz Dimension if something similar happened to her son and to her surprise, something similar did happen to the White Dragon Emperor.
"Everyone, we've finally found out what happened to us!" Rose exclaimed, making the residents of the Synchro Dimension widen their eyes in disbelief. "A-are you serious right now? You finally have a lead to what happened to you guys?" Ginta questioned in a disbelief tone, unable to believe that they might finally have the answer to what happened to all of them.
Rose nodded to her old friend, before she turned to look at her brother, thinking he should be the one to explain it. Ash nodded to his sister, before he faced his friends and family of the Synchro Dimension. "10 years ago, a man called Dr. Kogami travel though all four dimensions and kidnapped me, Rose, Rin, Zuzu, Celina and Lulu and took us to this world". Ash began to explain to the residents of the Synchro Dimension, making them all widen their eyes in shock and disbelief.
"Some lunatic kidnapped you guys and took you to another world? A-are you serious? Why would he even do that?" Eizen questioned his rival, having never expected this to be the answer on what happened to his friends. "Yeah, dead serious. He kept us for a whole year in this world, having us do some kind of Dueling tests. It wasn't exactly painless". The white Dragon Emperor continued as he thought back to the time he spent in this world.
He remembered waking up in a white room, with the only thing there being a VR headset. He picked it up and placed it on his head, starting the first of countless Duels. He first started off losing badly, and given small amounts of food, but he didn't give up. He kept on going, despite his loses, and began winning.
Eventually, he began hearing voices, some familiar and some unfamiliar. He learned that Lulu, Rin and Rose were somehow with him, and tried to reach them, but he couldn't. He couldn't comfort them with psychical contact, but did everything he could to encourage them to continue fighting on. Not just to Lulu, Rin and Rose, but to Zuzu and Celina.
Together all six of them continued to Duel, never giving up hope to one day escape and go home. He was the leader of all six of them and the one who won the most Duels. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and eventually, it became a year. Then one day, a voice came to them.
"You've all done well. You can all go home now".
Right after that voice finished its sentence, a bright light appeared and they all lost consciousness. When Ash regained consciousness, he and Lulu were in Heartland Park with no memories of what happened to them. Confused, the two went back to their homes, where they were welcomed by their crying families.
Confused at why their families seemed so relieved to see them, Ash and Lulu asked them why they were crying. They both learned that they have been missing for a whole year, much to the two children's shock. Still, Ash and Lulu continued their lives, but they experienced nightmares about their time in the other world, on how they were shocked when they lost Duels.
"Whenever we lost duels, we would be shocked to the bone, latterly. And we were given small amounts of food. This continued for a whole year". Ash continued to tell his friends and family from the Synchro Dimension, making Akiza gasp in horror that her children experienced something so horrible.
"We eventually learned that we weren't alone. My brother gave us hope when we were in despair and we continued to fight". Rose said with a found smile, thinking back to the day her brother saved her and the Bracelet Girls, making Ash, Zuzu, Lulu, Celina and Rin smile at her words.
"We stayed in this world for a whole year. Then someday, a voice told us that we did well and that we could go home. Dr. Kogami returned us to our separate dimensions, but not before he locked our memories away". Ash continued to explain to his friends and family of the Synchro Dimension, getting Clara to widen her eyes as she realized something.
"Then that explains why Rose and Rin couldn't remember what happened to them!" The blue haired beauty called out, now knowing why Rin and Rose were confused when they were found 9 years ago, getting the Empress of the Rose Dragons to nod to her. "That's correct, we couldn't remember because our memories of what happened were locked". The 16-year-old female said with a frown on her face, looking down as she thought about 10 years ago, to the year she spent in this world.
"Hold on! You said your memories were locked away, right? Then how do you guys remember?" Ginta questioned his friends, noticing how they seem to remember their time in the other world. Ash frowned as he looked down at his Duel Disk, where Azure was staring at his partner in his eye form. "To answer that, you'll need to know the reason why Dr. Kogami kidnapped us". The White Dragon Emperor told his childhood friend, getting both Ginta and everyone else from the Synchro Dimension's full attention.
Ash, Rose, Zuzu, Rin, Celina and Lulu all brought up their Duel Disks, knowing it was time to reveal their partners. "It was all for this". The White Dragon Emperor said as Azure, Raven, Yuna, Blaze, Wendy and Carla revealed themselves to the residents of the Synchro Dimension, making them all stare at the Ignis for a few seconds, before they all cried out in surprise.
"W-What the hell are those things!?" Eizen called out in shock at seeing the Ignis, who winced at his loud voice. "These are our partners, the Ignis". The White Dragon Emperor told his rival as he smiled down at Azure, who looked at him with his claws crossed, before he looked back at the screen.
"I am Azure, the White Dragon Ignis, and partner to White Dragon- I mean Satoshi Fudo". Azure introduced himself to the residents of the Synchro Dimension, giving a short bow. "Greetings, my name is Blaze, the Rose Dragon Ignis and partner to Rose Fudo. It's a pleasure to meet you". Blaze introduced herself to her partner's friends and family from the Synchro Dimension.
"I'm Carla, the Cat Ignis and partner of Celina". Carla introduced herself to the residents of the Synchro Dimension. "My name's Wendy, the Witch Ignis and partner of Rin". Wendy introduced herself to the people of the Synchro Dimension. "And I am Raven, the Bird Ignis and partner of Lulu". The Bird Ignis introduced herself as well, giving a short bow as well.
"Finally, I'm Yuna, the Songstress Ignis, partner to Zuzu Boyle". Yuna introduced herself as well, bowing a bit to show respect. "H-hello". Akiza greeted the Ignis, feeling a bit nervous around them. "Fascinating… what are these Ignis?" Bruno asked in fascination, fascinated with the Ignis.
"We're what you humans would call AIs, only with free will. We're not like computer programs, we're actual living beings". Azure told Bruno, telling him and everyone else of the Synchro Dimension about him and his kind, much to Bruno and Clara's fascination. "Incredible. How were you created?" Clara asked with an excited smile on her face, making Blaze giggle a bit from how she looked like an excited child.
"They were created from us". Rose told her childhood friend, getting the Tech Genus Duelist curious. "In our time in this world, Dr. Kogami's test was actually to create Azure and the others. See, for them to understand like humans, Dr. Kogami thought Dueling was the best way to do that". The Empress of the Rose Dragons explained to her childhood friend and family, increasing Bruno and Clara's fascination.
"Does that mean you guys can Duel like our friends?" Clara asked the Ignis, who blinked at her, along with Ash and the others. "Well… you could say that. Although we haven't really Dueled anyone, ourselves". Azure answered the blue haired girl, getting her to blink at him. "Well, can't you?" The Tech Genus girl asked the Dragon Ignis, who nodded to her.
"We're getting off subject here. Just what happened to you guys and how did you end up in that world again?" Eizen questioned with narrowed eyes as he pushed Ginta out of the way. "See Azure, and the other Ignis were in danger by a group called the Knights of Hanoi, whose goal was to kill all the Ignis. At first Azure meant to call me here to this world, but Lulu and Saya came along for the ride". Ash began to explain to his rival, friends and family, making Akiza widen her eyes at the mention of her granddaughter.
"Saya!? Where is she?!" The former Black Rose Witch questioned in concern for her granddaughter, making Ash hold up his hands in peace. "Calm down mom, she's right here". The White Dragon Emperor told his mother as Saya walked up to the screen and waved at everyone. "Hi everyone". The 7-year-old greeted everyone from the Synchro Dimension, making Akiza sigh in relief at seeing Saya safe and sound.
"As I was saying, Azure brought us to this world to help stop the Knights of Hanoi and I have to admit, this world is awesome". Ash continued to explain with a smirk on his face, getting everyone from the Synchro Dimension curious. "Oh? And what makes you say that?" Clara asked her childhood friend, taking notice of the excitement in his eyes.
Ash was about to answer, but Saya beat him to it. "This world is amazing. It has a virtual reality world called LINK VRAINS. It's where Duelists can take the form of an avatar and take part in Virtual Reality Duels. There's even a new kind of Dueling called Speed Duels, where Duelist can ride Duel Boards and ride the wind. Finally, there's a new kind of monsters called Link Monsters!" The Empress of the Pink Dragons explained to everyone of the Synchro Dimension with an excited look on her face.
Everyone in the Synchro Dimension had looks of awe, shock and disbelief on their faces at seeing hearing Saya's words. "Y-you're joking right? T-There's no way that a virtual reality can exist, much less a new kind of Summoning Method!" Eizen called out in disbelief, unable to believe Saya's words about LINK VRAINS AND Link Monsters, making Ash smirk at his rival.
"That's where you're wrong. Check it out!" Ash said with a smirk as he brought his deck out with his left hand and drew the top card with his right hand, revealing it to be White Dragon – Blue Link Dragon. Eizen and Ginta had looks of disbelief on their faces, Clara, Sherry, Bruno and Akiza had looks of awe on their faces.
"Incredible. A new kind of Summon Method really does exist". Akiza said in awe with a smile on her face, amazed that another Summon method really exists outside of the Four Dimensions. "Satoshi, you've got to let us look at these Link Monsters when you come back!" Clara exclaimed in excitement, making Ash, Saya, Rose, Zuzu, Lulu, Celina and Rin chuckle, while their Ignis partners were amused, along with Kolter, Yusaku and Ai.
"Don't worry, we'll show you more about Link Monsters when we get back, but I'm still in the middle of explaining why Azure brought me, Lulu and Saya to this world". Ash replied to his childhood friend and rival as he returned White Dragon – Blue Link Dragon to his deck, shuffled it, before he returned it to its deck box.
"At first, the portal separated all three of us, and that's when I met Yusaku". The White Dragon Emperor continued to explain as he looked and gave Yusaku a smile, one that he returned. "He helped me find Lulu and Saya, and then we met Kolter". The 17-year-old continued as he, Lulu and Saya smiled at Kolter, who returned the smile.
"They helped us a lot during our time here. First we learned about LINK VRAINS, Speed Duels and then Link Monsters. Then our battle with the Knight of Hanoi began". Lulu took over and began telling the residents of the Synchro Dimension about what happened to them. "They were tearing up LINK VRAINS, looking for Azure's friend here, Ai". Saya said with a smile as she picked up Yusaku's Duel Disk and held it up, allowing everyone to see Ai, who waved to them.
"Hi there". The Dark Ignis greeted the residents of the Synchro Dimension, who blinked at the seventh Ignis. "I thought there were only six Ignis". Carla said as she blinked at Ai, making Rose shake her head at her childhood friend. "We'll get to that part later". Rose told her friend, before she gave her brother a nod, telling him to continue.
"Yusaku and I went in LINK VRAINS to take care of the two Knights of Hanoi. That's when we experienced our first Speed Duel". The White Dragon Emperor continued to tell his friends and family about his first battle against the Knights of Hanoi, getting Ginta's attention as he pushed Eizen out of the way.
"Speaking of Speed Duels, what's the difference between it and normal Duels, or Turbo Duels?" The Blackwing Duelist questioned his friends, getting Yusaku, Kolter and AI curious when he mentioned Turbo Duels. "It has a few differences. For starters, instead of 5 zones for Spells, Traps and monsters, there's only 3. And instead of five cards, we start with 4 cards and there's no Main Phase 2. Plus you can only have 6 monsters in the Extra Deck Monster Zone". Azure explained for his partner to the residents of the Synchro Dimension, immediately getting Eizen's attention as he pushed Ginta out of the way.
"Are you kidding me? If that's true, who would want to Speed Duel?" The black haired teenager questioned, not really liking the Speed Duel so far. "It tests out a Duelist's skills more than a normal Duel and there's a special system called a Skill in a Speed Duel". Azure told Eizen, frowning at the rival of his partner, who blinked at him.
"A skill?" Eizen questioned in confusion, now starting to sound interested in Speed Duels. "There's a lot of Skills, like drawing two cards, Special Summon a certain monster or gain Life Points. There's so many skills". Ash explained to his rival about Skills and what types there were.
Ginta shoved Eizen out of the way, now having a grin, making everyone sweat drop. "Really? Okay, I'm starting to like this Speed Duel. I gotta try it out". Ginta said with a grin, now really wanting to try a Speed Duel out himself. "I'm sure you'll have your chance Ginta". Rin said to her friend with a smile, glad that he's interested in Speed Duels.
"Anyway, we defeated our opponents and returned to the real world after… having a conversation with some… uninvited guests". Ash continued to explain, taking a few moments to pick the right words to describe their encounter with Blue Angel and The Gore. "We eventually decided to stay and help our friends fight the Knights of Hanoi". Lulu joined in, looking down at Raven, who gave her a happy look.
"We stayed for a few months, and eventually Lulu met her partner Raven. Soon Celina, Rin, Rose and Zuzu joined us with their partners already with them. Eventually, we defeated the Knights of Hanoi and saved both worlds' networks". Ash finished explaining to his friends and family, getting Bruno's attention at someone he just said.
"You just said both worlds' networks? What do you mean? What did the Knights of Hanoi do to threaten our world's network?" The blue haired man questioned the White Dragon Emperor, getting everyone from the Synchro Dimension's attention at what he said as they faced Ash, who sighed.
"We'll explain everything later when we get back home. Right now, could you contact everyone and tell them to wait for us at the Leo Institute in the Pendulum Dimension". Ash requested, getting Akiza to look confused about her son's request, but nodded to him. "We could do that, but why?" Akiza asked her son, wanting to know why he wanted everyone to gather in the Standard Dimension.
"Everyone deserves to know what happened to us and how we got involved in the world. Shay, Skip, Yuya and everyone else deserves to know why we all disappeared 10 years ago". Ash answered his mother, receiving a look of understanding from her. "I see. Okay, we'll tell everyone to head over to the Leo Institute". The former Black Rose Witch told her son, who gave her a thankful look.
"What time should we expect you to arrive?" Clara asked her childhood friend, really impatient to reunite with her friends. Instead of Ash, it was Rose that answered. "As soon as possible, we just need to sort some things out and we'll head right over to Paradise City". The Empress of the Rose Dragons answered the Tech Genus, whose smile grew bigger.
"We'll see you soon guys!" Ginta said to his friends as he waved at them. "Satoshi, Rose, please don't take long". Akiza begged her children, wanting to wrap her arms around them as soon as possible. "We'll be as quick as a flash". Rose assured her mother as she waved at Akiza, who gave a teary smile, before she looked at Blaze and Azure. "Azure, Blaze, please look after my children". Akiza requested from the two Ignis, who blinked at her for a few moments, before they nodded to her.
"We'll do our best, but the two seem to attract trouble". The White Dragon Ignis told his partner's mother, making Akiza, Ash and Rose chuckle. "But we'll do our best". Blaze added as she looked at Rose, who gave her a wink. "Thank you". Akiza thanked the two Ignis, before she moved out of the way as Eizen covered the whole screen with his face, glaring at Ash.
"Satoshi, when you get back here, we're gonna-!" The black haired began to say to his rival, who stopped him by pressing a button, causing the screen to disappear. "He seems to have a bone to pick with you". Ai commented as he looked at Ash, making the girls laugh nervously with sweat drops. "You have no idea". All the girls said at the exact same time, getting their Ignis partners to look at them.
Ash turned his chair around to look at the girls. "In 5 minutes we'll head to the Pendulum Dimension. Take this time to pack anything you want to take home, or bring along". Ash told the girls, telling them to get ready. "What about you, brother?" Rose asked her brother, wondering what he's gonna do in the meantime.
"Azure and I are gonna get the portal ready, and make sure that we still have a connection to this world". The White Dragon Emperor answered his sister, who nodded in understanding, before she faced the girls. "Okay girls, let's get packing!" The Empress of the Rose Dragons exclaimed as she pushed the van's backdoors open.
Lulu, Saya, Rin, Zuzu and Celina nodded to Rose as the Empress of the Rose Dragons lead them back to the house, while Ash turned his chair back around. "Well, you have some interesting friends". Kolter remarked as Ash placed his Duel Disk down, before he began typing away on the keyboards.
"That's just a small bunch". Ash replied to his friend as Yusaku and Kolter began typing away as well. "So, out of curiosity, what's a Turbo Duel?" Ai asked, pretty curious on what a Turbo Duel is. "It sounds a bit like a Speed Duel". Yusaku commented, his eyes focused on the screen. "You could say that, but it's where Duelists duel, riding on what's known as Duel Runners". Ash answered as he looked out the open door to the garage, where his Duel Runner was.
"Care to explain what a Duel Runner is?" Kolter asked the White Dragon Emperor, wondering what exactly a Duel Runner is. "It's like a motorcycle, only built for Dueling as well". The White Dragon Emperor answered, getting Kolter to whistle. "Wow, Dueling on a motorcycle. Now I've heard it all". Kolter remarked with a smile, now wanting to see a Turbo Duel with his own eyes. "So what's this Leo Institute?" Yusaku asked his friend, wondering what the Leo Institute is. "It's a Dueling School for people. It teaches Duelists, even teaching them how to Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum Summon". Ash explained to Yusaku, Kolter and Ai about the Leo Institute of Dueling, getting a curious look from the Dark Ignis.
"Really? And there's no price for something like this?" The Dark Ignis questioned, getting Azure's attention as they both emerged from the Duel Disks. "I did some research on my partner's home and the only price is paying money to attend this school". Azure told his friend with his claws crossed. "Say, if those guys from this 'Leo Institute' learn about Link Summoning, what would they do?" Kolter questioned as they finished setting up the connection and began working on the portal. "They'll probably want to create their own Link Monsters, a Link Summoning class and probably make their own LINK VRAINS". Ash answered his friend, getting Kolter to raise an eyebrow.
"I don't think some people in this world will be happy about that". The purple haired man stated as the screen showed two worlds, their world and the world of the Four Dimensions. "Whatever happens happens". The White Dragon Emperor said to his friend as a line appeared on the screen, connecting the two worlds.
"Everything is set and ready". Azure said as he looked at his partner, who gave him a smile. "That reminds me, how did you get the program Azure?" Ai asked his friend, getting Azure to look at him. "It was difficult. The inside of the Tower of Hanoi was full of viruses in case someone tried something, but I managed to find the program. I even destroyed what connected the tower to the world of the Four Dimensions". The White Dragon Ignis told his partner how he acquired the program as Ash got up from his seat.
"I'll be right back". Ash told his friends as he walked out of the van, making Yusaku and Kolter look at each other, wondering what their friend needed to do. Ash walked up to the garage door and lifted it open, revealing his Duel Runner inside. "No way am I leaving you here". The White Dragon Emperor said to his Duel Runner with a smile.
3 minutes later, everyone was gathered outside the house with Ash sitting on his Duel Runner next to them. Rose, Lulu, Zuzu, Rin, Saya, Celina and Yusaku all had their Duel Disks on, while Ash had his old Duel Disk attached to his Duel Runner. All the girls had backpacks on, while Saya was holding a book in her arms with an excited look on her face.
"Okay, is everyone ready?" Ash asked everyone, who nodded to him. The White Dragon Emperor smiled, before he looked at Yusaku and Kolter. "We'll bring you guys back when you're ready, so just ask and we'll bring you back here". The White Dragon Emperor told his two friends, which they nodded to him. "Okay, let's do this! Azure!" Ash called out as he held up his left arm, Azure in eye form inside the Duel Disk.
"You got it!" The White Dragon Ignis called out as a bright light came out of him. The bright light took the form of a beam that shot out in front of the group, turning into a white portal. "This portal will take you to Paradise City in the Pendulum Dimension". Azure informed the group, getting Ash, Lulu, Zuzu, Saya, Rin, Celina and Rose to look at the portal with eyes full of disbelief.
"It's… hard to believe that we're finally going home, don't you think?" Rin asked her friends with a smile as she shed a tear of happiness. "Yet it's real, Rin. We're finally going home". Rose told her friend with a smile as she placed her right hand on the green haired girl's right shoulder, who returned the smile.
"Although when we get back, I bet we're gonna get an earful from our families". Celina commented with a chuckle, making Lulu and Zuzu chuckle nervously because they knew they'd absolutely get one. "Yeah, that's true". Zuzu stated with a nervous look, just imagining how her father will react and how he won't let her out of his sight again. "Knowing my brother, he won't ever let me out of sight again". Lulu said with a nervous smile and her eyes closed nervously, knowing that her brother will be way overprotective of her again.
"Come on guys, let's go home". Ash said as he took initiative and pushed his Duel Runner into the portal first, returning to his home world. "Come this way, everybody". Rose said as she followed after her brother into the portal. Soon everyone else followed after the two siblings, leaving this world and returning to the world of the Four Dimensions.
(Pendulum Dimension)
The first thing that Ash saw when he walked out of the portal was the familiar park of Paradise City. The White Dragon Emperor turned his head to look left and right with a massive smiling forming on his face at seeing the familiar park and buildings nearby. "It worked… we're back in the Pendulum Dimension…" Ash said in joy that the portal really did return them home. Ash then placed his Duel Runner in parking mode as he looked around in joy.
Soon everyone else stepped out of the portal, which closed after them, but they paid no attention to it. Rose, Zuzu, Saya, Lulu, Rin and Celina looked around with happy and relieved smiles on their faces. "Paradise City… we're really home…" Zuzu said in joy as she cried tears of joy from returning to her home after so long.
All the other girls were just as happy as Zuzu. Yusaku and Kolter were looking around with Ai doing the same. Azure, Blaze, Yuna, Raven, Wendy, Velvet and Carla emerged from their partners' Duel Disks and looked around. "So this is the Pendulum Dimension". Azure remarked with his claws crossed, getting Ash to look at his Ignis partner.
"Yup, welcome to Paradise City of the Pendulum Dimension!" Ash called out as he raised his left arm into the air, getting Azure to look down at his partner since he was still attached to the Duel Disk, which was now being held up. "You seem happy". The White Dragon Ignis remarked, making Ash grin at his partner.
"I'm back in my home world, what were you expecting?" The White Dragon Emperor told his partner as he lowered his left hand, making Azure chuckle at his response. "Fair point, I guess it's understandable why you're happy". The Ignis replied to his partner, before he looked up at the buildings nearby and the billboards.
"I'm gonna need to see more before I gave out my thoughts about this place and what I think of it". Azure said as he crossed his claws, wanting to see more of Paradise City and the Pendulum Dimension. "Speaking of, now that we're in the Pendulum Dimension, what do we do now?" Ai questioned the White Dragon Emperor, wanting to know what they're gonna do.
Celina turned around to face Ai and Yusaky, with Carla doing the same as her partner. "It's simple, we're going to the Leo Institute". The Lunalight Duelist answered the Dark Ignis, getting Carla to look at her partner. "And where is that exactly?" Carla questioned Celina, having no idea where the Leo Institute is.
Instead of Celina answering, it was Saya, who pointed at the Leo Institute tower. "It's over there, the biggest tower in Paradise City!" The 7-year-old girl called out with a smile, getting all the Ignis, Yusaku and Kolter to look at the tower she was pointing at. Kolter let out a whistle when he saw the tower. "Wow, now that's big. I dare even say it's bigger than SOL Technologies' tower". The adult said in an impressed tone at seeing Leo Institute's tower.
"Everyone should be gathering there, plus it'll help Ai find his Cyberse World". Lulu told her friends as she took the lead and began walking to Leo Institute's tower. "Wait, really!?" The Dark Ignis questioned in excitement as everyone began to follow the dark purple haired female.
"Has my partner ever given you a reason not to trust her?" Raven answered her friend as everyone walked out of the park's entrance. Before the Dark Ignis could answer the Bird Ignis, everyone heard four familiar voices. "Everyone!" Four young voices called out, getting everyone's attention as they looked left to see four children running up to them.
But it wasn't four random children; it was Allie, Frederick, Tate and Riley. The four had really changed from the children they were two years ago. Tate had grown bigger, now reaching Ash and Rose's little brother's height. He now wore a white V-neck shirt with a blue vertical line across it, with blue sleeves, khaki pants and blue sneakers.
Ally had started to grow into a young woman. Her once short hair had grown into long hair, now reaching her waist, having been inspired by Lulu's hair. She wore a cream tank top over a red short shirt that showed her stomach with red lining across the front, a brown skirt, red tight stockings and red high heels.
Unlike Allie and Tate, Frederick hadn't changed much, he was still chubby. He wore a green shirt, with brown overalls with suspenders, brown shorts, with a T-Rex picture on the front of his shirt and green shoes.
Riley was the one who had changed the most, now showing the world that she was a girl, instead of hiding her gender. Riley wore a blue V-neck long sleeved shirt with a necklace around her neck, her long hair tied into a ponytail, over her shirt she wore a white sleeveless dress shirt, with black thigh length pants and black high heels.
Ash, Saya, Zuzu, Lulu, Celina, Rin and Rose all smiled brightly at seeing Allie, Frederick, Tate and Riley. "Hey guys!" Ash exclaimed in joy as he knelt down and held his hands out for a hug. Riley ran into Ash's hands and hugged her step brother in joy, while Allie jumped into Lulu's hands and hugged the purple haired female, who returned the hug to the young female.
Tate ran up to Zuzu and hugged her, who returned it with a smile. Frederick hugged Saya, who returned the hug to her classmate. Saya, Frederick, Allie and Tate were all students of the You Show School in the Pendulum Dimension, so they were all classmates and were really good friends. Of course the same was for Saya and Riley, with the two being the best of friends.
"Welcome back Ash". Riley greeted her step brother with a smile, breaking the hug to get a good look at his face. "Good to be back Riley". Ash greeted his step sister back as he placed his hands on her shoulders and gave her a smile. "How's things been? Have you been getting along with everyone?" The White Dragon Emperor questioned, wanting to hear from Riley how she's been doing.
Riley nodded eagerly to her step brother, while Allie, Tate and Frederick broke from the hugs with Lulu, Saya and Zuzu. "Declan told us that you'd be arriving soon, so me, Allie, Tate and Frederick left in the middle of class to search for you". The youngest member of the Akaba family told her step brother, getting Rin to frown as she walked up next to Ash and gave Riley a frown.
"Riley, you can't just skip a class! It'll lower your chances at getting an education!" The green haired girl scolded the young female, who flinched at her scolding. Ash turned to look at Rin, while placing his right hand on Riley's head. "Come on, cut Riley some slack, Rin. She just heard that we were coming back after we disappeared off the face of the earth. So how do you expect her to stay at school?" The White Dragon Emperor said to his girlfriend, defending his step sister, receiving a thankful look from Riley.
Rin sighed with her eyes closed, before she gave Riley a small smile. "Okay, I'll let you off the hook this time". Rin said as she gave the younger female a wink, making Rilley smile at her. Riley then turned her attention back to her step brother. "Declan told me that if I happened to see you and everyone else, then I should take you all to the Leo Institute". The young female told her brother, who nodded in understanding as he took his hand off Riley's head and stood up on his feet.
"All right, let's head over to the Leo Institute". The White Dragon Emperor said as Riley's eyes wondered off to his Duel Disk and saw Azure, who took notice of the young girl looking at him. "Hi there". Azure greeted the youngest member of the Akaba family, who blinked at the White Dragon Ignis, before she looked back at her step brother.
"Ash, what's that?" Riley asked the White Dragon Emperor, pointing at Azure, getting Ash's attention as he looked at his Ignis partner, before looking back at the young girl. "This is Azure, he's a friend. I'll explain everything when everyone's together". Ash told Riley, reassuring her that Azure's a friend.
Riley still looked confused, but nodded. She took Ash's right hand with her left hand and began leading him to the Leo Institute, with Allie, Frederick and Tate doing the same with Lulu, Saya and Zuzu. Rose turned to face Yusaku, Kolter and Ai, who had been waiting. "These are our friends Riley, Allie, Tate and Frederick. You don't have to keep your guard up around them". The Empress of the Rose Dragons told her three friends, before she, Rin and Celina walked after their friends. Rin stopped for a moment, before she went over to Ash's Duel Runner and started pushing it as she followed after everyone.
Yusaku and Kolter looked at each other for a moment, before they followed their friends to the Leo Institute, with Riley leading the way. All the Ignis returned to their partner's Duel Disks, changing back to eye form. It took a few minutes, but eventually they reached the Leo Institute. "Now that's a sight for sore eyes". Celina commented with a happy smile on her face.
"Man, this place is as big SOL Technologies". Kolter stated with an impress smile, looking up at the tall building. "And unlike the people of SOL Technologies, the people here are good. Trust me, they can be trusted". Rin told the adult, giving him a reassuring smile as she placed Ash's Duel Runner in parking mode. Kolter still looked a bit unsure, but gave Rin a nod, deciding to trust her word.
"Everyone's waiting inside, even your brother". Allie told Lulu with a bright smile, making the purple haired woman smile nervously. "Oh boy". Lulu said as she knew that she'll get the scolding of a lifetime faster than expected. Ash continued to look up at the tower, uncertain of how to feel at hearing that everyone was inside, waiting for him and everyone else.
Ash sighed as he closed his eyes, before he opened them again. "Let's do this". The White Dragon Emperor said with eyes full of resolve, before he began walking into the Leo Institute. Lulu, Saya, Riley and Rose smiled at seeing Ash walk forward without fear, before they followed him. They weren't the only ones, Azure looked proud of his partner as well. Rin, Celina, Zuzu, Tate, Frederick, Allie Yusaku and Kolter followed after Ash, ready to face whatever awaits them inside.

The camera showed a statute of a marvel warrior in an old coliseum, holding up the sky with his two hands, blocking out the sun and causing sun beams to shower the top of his head.
"My life is like detestably bad graffiti".
"But when you looked at me, I felt I wasn't alone".
The screen changed to show Yusaku, Ash and Rose kneeling down inside a tunnel with a halo of light shining from the entrance and there was graffiti on the walls, showing different words, including "Shinning Draw" and Synchro". Yusaku was kneeling down on the right, Ash was kneeling on the left and Rose was in between the two with all three duelists' shadows being their Ignis partners in the same postures as them.
The screen zoomed out a bit, before a data stream went over the screen and cleared, showing the other side of the tunnel, only Lulu, Rin, Celina and Zuzu were there with a halo of light shining from the exit. This tunnel had graffiti as well like at the entrance, only it had the words "Contact Fusion" and "Pendulum" in purple and rainbow coloured writing. Lulu was leaning her back against the right wall with her hands folded in front of her lap, Rin was in a similar position on the left wall, only she had her hands folded behind her head and right left pressed against the wall. Celina was sitting down on front of Lulu with her arms and legs crossed, while Zuzu sat down on her knees with her hands gently placed on them. Like with the others, their Ignis partners were their shadows' reflections in the same positions. Another data stream went over the screen, returning it back to the entrance of the tunnel as Ash, Yusaku and Rose all stood up and looked to their sides with Rose looking forward.
"I'm glad that I'm alive, I truly am".
"What I couldn't say before, I can say now".
A stream of data went over the scenery behind them, changing it to a roman coliseum with three statues behind them and the sun shining down from above. Suddenly, the coliseum changed to a network version of itself with holograms of Kolter and Jin appearing as crystal sharp images, reflected against the mirrored buildings behind them. Kolter was on the left building, looking determine to save his brother, while Rin was on the right, in a comatose like state holding his knees, not saying a word and still to traumatized to move.
Kolter and Jin's holograms changed to show Pikachu and Yusei with the Electric-Mouse having a longing look on his face, while Yusei had a determine face to represent his desire to find his children. Their holograms changed to Shay and Akiza with the Raidraptor Duelist frowning down at his right fist, while the former Black Rose Witch had a sad look as she missed her children greatly. The screen suddenly speeds up and changes into pixelated prisms, almost like a screen with the light continuously moving upward.
"Within the sadness that I kept holding down".
The prisms cleared to reveal a blue digital-like world with ones and zeros constantly flashing. In this world, there was a hologram of Varis on the right, facing the left with a determined look, while Specter was on the right, looking serious with his arms folded behind himself, looking at something across the network. Black Dragon Mask was flying in between the two, staring forward with gritted teeth to represent his desire to defeat his rival. Behind all three of them was Dr. Kyogami with his hands at his hips and lab coat blowing in the breeze as a bright white pillar was behind him. There were blue, purple red green and yellow small beams gathering around the pillar of light as Varis and Specter drew closer to one another and to Black Dragon Mask.
"There were fragments of power".
"No one can take away my light to the future".
The screen changed to show 3 split screens with different coloured background, rosy red, light blue and silvery white with three rainbow coloured stars falling down from above. In the left screen, the star fell past images of Shay, Leo, Luna, Zion, Maleficent and Clara, who all looked at the falling star as it passed them. In the middle screen, the light passed through images of Cal, Gore, Skye, Akira and Emma, who stared at the star as it passed them. And finally at the right screen, the last light fell pass images of Pikachu, Delia, Yusei, Akiza, Shark and Rio, who all looked at the star as it passed them.
The three stars fell and stopped above the open hands of Rose, Yusaku and Ash with their Duel Disks and decks on, which all three grasped into their hands, causing bright white lights to flash out of them. The three slowly turned their hands over with the bright lights flashing over the screen, somehow changing them into their avatars Black Rose Dragon Mask, Playmaker and White Dragon Mask with their right hands still closed, but no bright lights emerging from within. The screens zoomed down to their Duel Disks, right at the orbs where the eye forms of Blaze, Ai and Azure appeared.
The three Ignis opened their eyes and generated three different coloured round circles, which shot out round orbs, before releasing fan-like shape energy, moving in a clockwise motion and released bright lights. The camera zoomed out to reveal Black Rose Dragon Mask, Playmaker and White Dragon Mask in separate split screens, holding their right fists to their hips and their left arms up in the air as their Duel Disks continued to release the same fan-like shape energy from before that spread out all around them. It then released a bright white light that blinded the screen completely.
"The chronicles of life only has a few lines".
The light cleared to reveal White Dragon Mask, Playmaker and Black Rose Dragon Mask riding their Duel Boards in LINK VRAINS in the Data Material wind over a water bridge connected to the city with their Duel Disks activated. Playmaker was flying in the middle, White Dragon Mask besides him on his right and Black Rose Dragon Mask on their left. They weren't alone as their second ace monsters, Decode Talker, White Dragon - Blue Link Dragon and Rose Dragon – Frozen Blue Rose were flying either besides, or behind them. The four flew through the Data Storm winds with their ace monsters, determined to duel and win.
"People I meet, my regrets - they're all like ultramarine diamonds to me".
The screen changed to first show a violet background with Purple Night flying in the with her arms spread out and her ace Link Monster, Lyrilusc - Convene Nightingale flying behind her. The screen changed to show a green background with Gore holding up his right fist with Gouki The Giant Ogre behind him with his sword in both hands. The screen changed once more to show a indigo background with Lunalight Dancer having her arms spread out as she danced with Lunalight Lynx Dancer crouched down behind her.
The camera changed to show a purple background with Ghost Gal sitting down, looking at the camera as she held up her Duel Disk and had Altergeist Primebanshee's card in her right hand's index and middle fingers with said monster behind her. Once again, the screen changed to show an icy green background with Green Witch facing the camera with, tilting her had up with her right hand with Windwitch - Fate Reverser besides her.
The screen changed once more to show a purple background with lighter purple beams coming out from it. Both Skye and Blue Angel formed a spinning circle with Saya and Pink Dragon Mask in between them. Blue Angel looked happy on the left side as she and Pink Dragon Mask fly besides one another, back to back. Skye had a curious expression on her face as she held a book in her arms, looking over her right shoulder at Saya, who gave her a gentle smile. The camera changed to show a pink background with Music Singer singing with Bloom Harmonist the Melodious Composer singing besides her. The purple background then released another bright light that blinded the screen.
"You've always confront loneliness by yourself".
The light cleared to reveal Playmaker, White Dragon Mask and Black Rose Dragon Mask flying through the city of LINK VRAINS on their Duel Boards, passing through underneath a bridge with their second ace monsters behind them, only now their real aces, Firewall Dragon, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon were among them. Playmaker flew in the middle with his aces behind him, White Dragon Mask was on the right with his dragons behind him and Black Rose Dragon Mask on the left with her aces right on her tail.
"I bet we can now laugh together, forever and ever".
The three duelists faced forward with determined faces as their true aces, Firewall Dragon, Novaforce Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon leaned their heads closer to their owners with all of them ready to duel and win. Ai, Azure and Blaze stared up at their partners in their eyes forms as they continued to soar through the skies. However, sunshine caught their attention as they looked over at the source.
"Lighting Life with our invisible bond".
The three heroes of LINK VRAINS all flew towards the sunset on their Duel Boards over the city of LINK VRAINS on the Data Material wind with their ace monsters right besides them, heading towards the tomorrow and the battles that awaited them.
And done, sorry it took so long and if it was boring, but I did my best. Next chapter might take some time since I'll have to figure out all the other characters' designs, so please be patient. Anyway, I'll see you all later. Time to link into the VRAINS!
