I decided to include the reprise of For the First Time in Forever too because I also like that version :)

"Elsa!"
Elsa turned and just barely caught the redhead before she fell over, as usual. Instead of scolding her for running in the halls again, Elsa buried her nose into her sister's hair and breathed in her scent, one that felt familiar for the first time in forever. "Good morning, Anna."
Anna giggled and wrapped her arms around the taller woman. "Good morning! Oh, and thanks for catching me."
Elsa froze at those words. Catching me... Elsa quickly shook it off and kissed Anna's hair. "Of course, I'll always catch you... But you need to be more careful."
Anna stepped away and rubbed the back of her neck. "Right... I'm sorry."
Elsa waved her off. "It's alright. Now, what was it you wanted me for?"
"Oh, uh..." Anna tucked her left foot behind her right leg. "I just wanted to say hi... I haven't really seen you much these last few days..."
Elsa smiled slightly. "Oh. Well, hello, Anna, it's nice to see you. Sorry, I know I've been busy lately."
Anna shrugged. "You don't need to apologize, I understand. You are the Queen after all..."
"No, no, this is not fair. We had thirteen years of barely seeing each other, and I'm not going to make you go through that again."
"What are you saying?"
Elsa smiled slightly. "Anna. Do you wanna build a snowman?"
Anna's eye lit up, just like how they did on that one fateful night. "Yes! I mean... Yeah, sure, whatever."
Elsa giggled, then took Anna's hand in her own. Warmth. "Shall we?"
Anna grinned. "We shall."

Elsa felt like a kid again when she dragged Anna to the Ballroom, just like they did on... that day... She paused right when they went through the door, bad memories flooding her mind before she could stop it.
Anna's wide smile faded when she saw the far off look in Elsa's eyes. "Hey, are you okay?"
Elsa shook it off and smiled a little. "I'm fine, it's just... chilly in here."
Anna raised an eyebrow. "Says the literal snow queen. Please, you are a horrible liar."
"Right..." Elsa took a deep breath and held her hands behind her back. "I just... I'm so sorry I hurt you... I'm sorry that I hurt us..."
Anna got a determined look on her face. "Oh no, We are not doing this again." Anna held her hand up. "Touch your palm to mine."
"Anna..."
"Just-!" Anna stopped herself and sighed. "Please?"
Elsa swallowed, then nodded once. "Okay..." Elsa raised her hand and pressed it flat against Anna's.
Anna let their hands stay there for a few seconds, then she slowly interlaced their fingers. "See? I'm fine."
Elsa stared at their hands, the fear in her eyes slowly dissipating. "Right... I'm sorry, Anna, I-"
"No."
"What?"
"No," Anna repeated, dropping her hand. "Don't apologize. None of this is your fault. We're here, together, and nothing is ever going to separate us again." Before Elsa had time to react, Anna came forward and wrapped her older sister in a gentle embrace.
It took a few seconds, but Elsa eventually hugged her back, closing her eyes and allowing herself to actually feel.
Anna raised her hand and gently stroked the back of Elsa's neck, enjoying being able to act like this again. "No more closed doors... Okay?"
Elsa nodded against her shoulder. "No more closed doors..."
Anna sniffled as she attempted to hold back her tears. "That's all I ever wanted to hear..."
Elsa kissed Anna's cheek and laughed a watery laugh. "Look at us... A Queen and a Princess, here, in the Ballroom, hugging and talking about their bad past. We're such a mess... What would the royalty in other countries think?"
"If anyone has anything back to say about this, I will personally kick their-"
"Anna. Behave."
Anna stepped back and wiped her eyes, giggling a little. "Fine, but that's not very fun."
Elsa shook her head and smiled fondly. "You're so silly sometimes."
"Ooo, we need to ride our bike around the hall soon! I've always wanted to do that with you!"
Elsa giggled. Anna was great at changing the subject. "Let's just focus on making this snowman first, okay?"
Anna gasped and covered her mouth. "Oh! I totally forgot about that!" Anna took Elsa's hand and took her into the middle of the large room. "Do the magic, do the magic!"
Elsa grinned and swirled her hands and threw her arms upward, creating an explosion of snowflakes.
Anna looked up and gawked, always impressed by her sister's powers, no matter how many times she sees it. "Wow... You're so amazing, Els."
Elsa looked at her. "You... think I'm amazing?"
Anna took her eyes off the icy wonders to look at her favorite human being on the planet. "Of course I do. I love you." Suddenly, the snowflakes stopped. Anna glanced up then grinned. "Love thaws."
Elsa playfully threw a snowball at her sister. "I swear you do that on purpose."
Anna wiped the snow out of her eyes and huffed. "I do not! But that was definitely on purpose and that's not fair!"
Elsa simply waved her hand and created a bunch of snow on the floor. "You're right. But now it is."
Anna smiled mischievously, then the two started a full-on snowball war. The odds weren't in her favor, of course, but Anna fought hard 'til the end. Eventually, the sisters collapsed into a snow pile, exhausted, yet happy. Anna looked over at Elsa, her eyes full of love, and whispered, "I couldn't ask for a better sister."
Elsa carefully interlaced their fingers, then brought Anna's hand to her mouth and kissed the back of it. "Me either."
Anna crawled closed and tucked her head under Elsa's chin.
"Anna, you're going to get cold," Elsa warned, trying to pull away.
Anna wrapped a strong arm around her waist and held her there. "Who cares? You're all I care about right now."
Elsa sighed, then buried her nose into Anna's hair. "Okay..." They remained there, content, for a while, until Elsa realized something. "Hey, we never even build a snowman."
Anna nuzzled against Elsa's neck. "That's okay. We have all the time in the world."
