Author's Note: I didn't use a prompt or anyone's ideas. If I had felt recent inspiration by something or someone, I couldn't remember by what. So I just went with a SHORT late take on Caskett's wedding anniversary. Written and posted on the same day.
"Babe, you know all I needed on our anniversary was you." She kisses his cheek and caresses his chest.
"And you know I couldn't let a celebration go by without a few surprises." He kisses her forehead, holding his wife close in their bed.
"Mmm, touché. Still, though… SIX gifts? And the chocolate truffles… Though you weren't the only one with surprises."
Ohhh, no I was not," he replies, giving her side a tickle and making her squirm and giggle. "You little sexy minx."
"Only the best for my husband." She plants a kiss on his lips. She moans when he holds her in the kiss, their lips moving softly together. She eases on top of him, her bare body pressed to his.
She breaks away to bury her face in his neck, planting a kiss there with a moan of content. Lifting her head up to meet his eyes, she asks, "So you liked it?"
His mind instantly returns to the morning after their first night as a couple. "Yeah."
She grins and adds, "Even the part where I…" She gives him a wink. Her mind is in the same place as his.
He cuts her off: "Especially that part. I loved it, Kate. I loved every moment of this day with you. Dinner was perfect. The confetti in our office…" He laughs. "I still can't believe you pulled that off without my knowledge."
"I got you good," she chimes in, laughing with him.
"So so good." He kisses her. "I love you, Kate. Being married to you truly has been the time of my life."
She kisses him. "I love you too, Rick, and after 6 years, it can only get better."
"I agree." They seal their unofficial pact with more kissing, proving their anniversary isn't over yet.
