Hey everyone! Sorry it took so long but I'm in college and finals had just finished so I have some pent up inspiration.
Chapter 16
Next Morning- Train Station
After putting on black pants, a dark blue jacket top with a black cloak that made him look royal, and a dark black and blue helmet, Lelouch and Kallen left to meet with the rest of the Japanese resistance group led by Kaname Ohgi.
"How are you going to appear to them, Lulu?" Kallen asked her boyfriend, who was wearing his Zero persona costume.
"Lead to onto the train that shows both Britannia and the horrible condition of what remains of Japan," Lelouch stated before he headed onto a train and geassed the people on it to notice nor listen to anything while the conductor was to wait for his order.
He took out his cell phone and dialed Kallen's number, hoping she was all set.
"Hello?" Kallen answered after the second ring.
"Is everyone there?" Lelouch asked.
"Yes, where do you need us to go?" Kallen asked, looking at the rest of the resistance group, who were waiting for this person to show up.
"Head towards train 3 then board the train," Lelouch ordered.
"On our way now," Kallen stated before she and Lelouch hung up.
"Follow me," Kallen said as she looked towards her comrades and walked towards the train Lelouch was located on.
Before the meetup
Ohgi, Tamaki, Nagato, and Tachi were headed towards the train station while the rest of the group stayed behind at their hideout.
"You are making this a bit hard on him aren't you?" Nagato asked as they headed towards the rendezvous point.
"We understand the reason you think we should give him the benefit of the doubt but he's still Britannian and we can't trust him until he gives us a reason why," Ohgi stated as they continued on their way to the train station.
"If he makes Kallen happy and she trusts him, then I see that as reason enough," Tachi mumbled as they walked into the train station and saw Kallen waiting alone.
Tachi walked over to her and patted her red hair gently.
"Hey guys," Kallen greeted with a gentle smile.
Nagato looked around, wondering where Lelouch and Ai were.
"Ai's at home because we wanted her to keep Zero's sister company," Kallen stated, watching Nagato slightly.
"Ai's alright?" Tachi asked, worried about the survivor of the Shinjuku massacre.
"Yeah and Zero's been a very caring father towards her after all," Kallen stated, sticking to using Lelouch's codename instead of his real one.
"Do you think he will truly help Naoto's dream come true?" Ohgi asked suddenly.
Kallen and Ohgi looked at one another silently as Tamaki crossed his arms, still not liking the fact that they were getting help from a Britannian out of all people.
"No but I know he'll lead us down a path that onii-san will be very proud of," Kallen finally answered before she took out her phone to call Lelouch when her phone had rung instead.
Present time
Kallen led the Japanese Resistance Group towards the train and go on while waiting for their next move.
Tamaki looked around to see the people not even noticing them, thinking the wrong idea that they were better than them, which caused Tamaki to growl in anger.
"Please head towards the first car of this train," a voice over the intercom stated before the train slowly began to move.
The group walked towards the first train car as instructed and noticed that there were no passengers in this car but one man.
The man turned his head towards them and held out his hand in a dramatic sense as Kallen walked over to him, taking his hand and went towards his side.
"Who are you?" Ohgi asked.
" Look to the left of the train and tell me what you see," the man requested and watched as the four resistant group members looked.
"I see the people who took our homes and memories. I see those who turned us into lap dogs and took away our names," Ohgi answered as his gaze went back to the masked man along with the rest of the group.
"Now look at the right of the train and tell me what you see," the man requested once more and the group did as requested.
"I see what was once a great country that had been torn down and shamed to the point that our people were stripped of who they are. I see the place we fight for," Tamaki answered this time before his glare was directed towards the masked man.
Kallen squeezed the man's hand as he lifted his hand towards his mask as it hissed and opened to reveal black hair and violet eyes of the man behind the mask.
"Are you going to help us free Japan or not?" Ohgi asked.
"Why should I help only free Japan and not all the countries that fell and went through the same ordeal as the Japanese people?" the man asked.
"They can fight their own battles but we fight for the Japanese people and them alone," Tamaki stated with a hint of anger in his voice.
The man placed his helmet down on an empty seat as Kallen shook her head in shame.
"You are a very terrible resistance group," the man concluded, causing Tamaki's fist to clench in anger and Ohgi to glare at the man.
"What do you particular mean by that statement?" Tachi finally asked.
"You see the country who took away who you are and you saw what was left of your own home. A resistance group is to fight for the weak against the strong. They are to be the robin hoods for the poor and fight against the rich. What you just stated is immoral as you only care about one country and not all of those they were forced to undergo the same as you all," the man stated as he and Kallen sat down together.
"Why should we care about all the others when we are a Japanese resistance group?" Tamaki cried out in anger.
Kallen's cold blue eyes turned to look at Tamaki, who stiffened and gulped in fear.
"Kallen is half Britannian and half Japanese yet she will help me fight to save all those who fell under Britannia's control," the man stated as he looked at Kallen with loving purple eyes.
There was silence within the train car as Kallen leaned her head on Lelouch's shoulder, holding his hand.
"I want to help fight against the strong to help all of those who are weak," Tachi suddenly stated as he sat from across Lelouch and Kallen with Nagato following him.
Tamaki growled "traitors" under his breath before he looked at Ohgi, waiting for him to decide for their group.
"I want to rescue Suzaku Kururugi from the Britannian clutches as I am the one who forced Clovis to murder himself. After all, the ghost of a long lost brother would cause anyone to go mad and want to please their demands," the man stated as he stretched.
"Brother of that Prince Clovis," Tamaki growled as he really wanted to pummel the man.
"Lelouch," Kallen mumbled softly as she turned his face so their eyes would meet before she leaned forward and kissed him softly.
Lelouch returned the soft kiss before leaning back and smiling softly.
"Will you help me rescue Suzaku Kururugi?" Lelouch asked as he turned his gaze to the resistance members.
"I will help as I want to pay back my debt for you saving me and adopting that young girl," Nagato stated as he and Lelouch shook hands.
"I will help as well," Tachi stated before he shook hands with Lelouch after Nagato.
"We will rescue him with you but only to see if you are truly trustworthy," Ohgi ordered as his gaze turned towards Tamaki, who went silent then nodded in agreement.
"Here's the plan then," Lelouch started to explain how they will build a car similar to Clovis's and use it as a distraction and continued with the plan as Kallen continued to sit by his side before they had to begin their plan to rescue Suzaku.
