Well hello lovelies, as promised I'm onto the next chapter. As with the case of the chapter before, I don't quite remember what happens in this chapter so we will all see how this chapter progresses as I rewrite it. Maybe I'll surprise you guys as well as myself with how this chapter turns out. I don't have a lot for this part of the A/N so I will get on with the quote and onto the story.

The next morning, Xander and the rest of Belle's home friends were right by her side when Belle woke. Isn't this a nice sight to wake up to, Belle thought to herself as she tried to sit herself up. Xander and Vida were quick to reach forward and help her sit up, being very gentle when they saw the winces Belle gave from moving to sit.

"Morning Belle," Xander greeted the groggy eyed teen after he made sure she was comfortable.

"Morning guys," Belle yawned, her eyes taking in all of her friends.

"How long have you guys been sitting there?"

"Not that long," Maddie assured her. "Only about fifteen minutes."

"Did you guys eat breakfast?"

"You're the one who got hurt and you're worrying about us?" Vida questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"I'll be fine," Belle huffed with a roll of her eyes. "All I need is a few days of rest and I'll be good as new."

Her friends looked skeptical at her words, but they didn't say a thing so that Belle wouldn't start arguing with them.

"When are you going back to Blue Bay?" Chip voiced.

"Today," Belle answered.

"Today?" Maddie echoed in shock while the others were too stunned to try to say anything.

"Yeah. I need to get back to my studies and I'm sure everyone is wondering where I am."

"You can take some more time to heal if you need to," Xander tried to argue, which fell on deaf ears.

"I'm fine Xan," Belle smiled. "And I promise that I won't do anything taxing for a couple weeks. The only thing I'll be doing is meditating."

The other teens didn't look too convinced, but they let the matter drop. They knew that if Belle had set her mind to something, she was going to do what she set out to do. Plus it didn't seem like she was in too much pain. They just hoped that Belle would stick to her word and not do anything too strenuous.

"Is someone coming to pick you up?" Maddie asked, worried that Belle would try leaving on her own in her condition.

"Yes," Belle said. "Cam is coming to take me back."

"So we finally get to meet this stranger," Vida grinned with mischief in her eyes.

"Please don't chase him out of the house," Belle groaned.

"I'll reign her in if she needs it," Maddie assured the galaxy haired girl.

Instant relief flooded Belle at her words. While Belle loved Vida dearly, she also knew that sometimes Vida could be too much for people who didn't know her which could make them very uncomfortable.

"I won't be that bad," Vida huffed even though there was still a smile tugging at her lips.

"You're gonna eat some breakfast before you go, right?" Xander asked.

"Yes, I'll eat breakfast before I leave," Belle confirmed.

"All of us could eat breakfast together."

The others gave sounds of agreement and happiness at Belle's words before they heard Mama Luna calling up the stairs for breakfast. The group all turned to each other and offered up a large smile before they all got up to head downstairs. Belle went slowly to get up from her bed, but found that she was still extremely sore and ended up leaning on Xander to walk to her bedroom door. The others kept close so that they could offer some help while Belle limped down the hallway. Upon seeing Belle wince with almost every step, Xander was quick to scoop her up. It still hurt to move so suddenly like that, but it did save Belle the pain of trying to wak down the hallway.

"Xander! Put me down! I can walk!"

"It's faster this way," he argued while he walked down the stairs to the kitchen.

There was no way Xander was telling her the reason that he picked her up was to ease her pain and have her yell at him for taking away her ability to do things. Mama Luna was bustling about putting plates of food down on the table while Xander sat Belle down in a seat before taking a seat next to her for himself.

"Make sure to eat up," Mama Luna told the teens who looked at the food with excited smiles.

"We will," Chip promised, not hesitating to dig into the food in front of him.

The others were quick to follow, but they ate with a little more grace. Not that long after the teens began to eat, Cam strode into the kitchen as if he had come from the front door instead of the portal in Belle's room.

"Cameron," Mama Luna greeted the dark haired male happily. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to pick up Anna," Cam answered. "I didn't want her coming back on her own."

While Mama Luna and Cam were talking, Vida was discreetly checking out the bespeckled male.

"He's pretty cute," Vida admitted to Belle, her dark eyes scanning him once more for good measure.

"Damn, between Hunter and him, you must be in heaven."

At the mention of Hunter, Belle tensed up that she tried hard to hide from her friends. Although she had decided that she would push the incident to the side until she could talk with him again, her body still reacted in fear at the memories of the beating she received.

"Come, sit and eat," Mama Luna insisted as she pushed Cam towards an empty chair.

Cam was barely able to utter a sound before Mama Luna placed a plate in front of him to eat along with utensils. Knowing that he wouldn't be able to argue against it, Cam picked up a fork and began eating.

"So, Cam was it? What do you do at the school?" Vida voiced after a few moments of silence besides the sounds of eating filled the room.

"I'm learning along with the students," Cam said. "I'm in my last year of training."

"What do you plan on doing after that?" Maddie chimed in in curiosity.

"I...I don't know," Cam mused. "I haven't thought that far ahead."

As he answered, Cam looked over at Belle and shared a silent conversation when their eyes met. What Cam had meant was that he was a part of the battle against Lothor and he hadn't thought about what to do after the battle was over. He had thought that he would become a teacher afterwards, but there was nothing he could specifically teach since he wasn't trained as a ninja. He could go into the technology business, but he had a feeling that his methods wouldn't be well received considering the conventional methods were all but nonexistent in Cam's work.

"How is Anna doing in class?" Chip questioned, obvious excitement on his face.

"She is doing a wonderful job learning," Cam answered.

At his words, Belle sent Cam a warm look that in turn made Cam's chest have a comfortable warmth settle inside. Not long after that, everyone had finished their food and Mama Luna was ushering out the Briarwood natives so that Belle and Cam could head through the portal without anyone seeing.

"Alright Mama, we're heading back," Belle announced as she and Cam headed for the stairs.

"You take it easy, you hear me Annabelle Lee," Mama Luna demanded with the beginnings of tears in her eyes. Belle's eyes softened at her mother's tears as she reached forward to give her mother a hug.

"I'm sorry for scaring you Mama. I wanna say that I won't do it again, but I'd be lying."

"And I wouldn't expect any less from you ma petite étoile," Mama Luna remarked with a sad smile.

"You have a heart of gold and unwavering loyalty for your friends."

Belle gave a smile at her mother's words and she let herself enjoy her hug for a few more minutes before she pulled back.

"I'll catch you later Mama."

"Try to stay out of trouble."

"I'll try Mama. I can't promise any more than that."

"My promise to watch out for her is still valid," Cam reminded Mama Luna.

"Thank you for that Cameron. The both of you have a safe trip back."

Cam and Belle then walked up the stairs, with Belle having to lean on Cam, until they both passed through the portal in Belle's closet. As soon as the two came through, Cam ushered Belle into bed so that she could get some more rest. Belle tried telling him that she wasn't tired, but Cam was having none of it. That was how Belle came to drift off only a few minutes after Cam had tucked her in. Cam shook his head at the slumbering teen at the stubbornness she had about not wanting to get the rest she needed. He made sure that Belle was sufficiently covered and tucked in before he ventured back towards the command center.

Even though the rangers wanted to talk with Belle about what had happened with Hunter, they held off until Belle was feeling better. Thanks to her pain reliever and healing potions, Belle was healed a good chunk within three days. At first Cam wasn't convinced that Belle was ok, but he changed his mind when Belle showed him the fading bruises around her ribs as well as the fact that she wasn't in as much pain anymore. She was still restricted from anything too strenuous although she did spend most of her time sitting beside Cam and helping him with coding. On that third day found the Wind rangers coming down the stairs into Ninja Ops while Belle leaned against Cam for comfort.

"Would you mind telling us what exactly happened between you and Hunter?" Shane asked that almost sounded like a demand.

Even though Shane was so angry at Belle for letting her emotions cloud her judgement, he couldn't find it in himself to take that anger out on her.

"Well, at first we just met out in the forest," Belle began while she wrapped her arms around one of Cam's.

"I knew he was from the Thunder Ninja Academy when we met, but I didn't think anything of it. I continued to hang out with him both during the day in town and at night in the forest. I didn't actually find out he was a ranger until the day the Oni monster showed up. He trusted me so much that I couldn't bring myself to say anything about his identity. It was that night that I learned why the Thunder Ninjas were against us. I didn't think they would actually fight us until our first battle with them."

As Belle told her story, all three rangers tried their hardest not to give Belle a judgemental look even though they were a little disappointed with how she had handled the situation.

"I couldn't bring myself to fight Hunter during the battle so I tried to focus on just fighting Blake. I also couldn't bring myself to see Hunter as the enemy. He is just a victim of Lothor's schemes."

"He could have killed you," Dustin pointed out with a worried furrow in his brow.

"I know," Belle admitted sadly at the realization.

"Maybe," Shane began, closing his eyes at his decision.

"Maybe you should hand over your morpher until you can make better decisions."

The whole room grew silent at Shane's words and Shane himself felt horrible at having to say them. But he didn't want Belle to end up in the same situation as before with her almost dying. Every part of him was telling him that this would be the best protection for the young teen.

"Sensei," Tori voiced in hopes that he could revoke Shane's order.

"This is Shane's team," Sensei Watanabe said solemnly. "If this is what he thinks is best, so be it."

Now that Shane's order had the weight of Sensei's approval, Belle shakily let go of Cam's arm so that she could take off her morpher and set it on the computer's desk.

"I will respect your decision," Belle said in a hollow tone. "I'll stay out of your way and stay out of sight."

She then began to limp her way back to her room, but Cam tried to reach out for her to soothe her hurt. When she turned to look at Cam with eyes that didn't see much around her, Cam found his hand freezing in the air. She said nothing before she faced forward again and continued on her way.

"Shane, what is wrong with you?" Tori glared at the red ranger. "You didn't have to go that far."

"It's the only way to keep her safe," Shane said to convince both the others and himself.

"I wouldn't be too sure," Cam quipped. "We'll see how she fares without her morpher."

With that said, Cam walked back into the living area part of Ninja Ops leaving the rangers to look at each other in surprise.

"Dude, I've never heard Cam talk like that," Dustin commented.

"Well, he'll have to get used to it," Shane said.

For the next couple of days, Belle stayed either in her room or the command center as she recuperated more. True to her word, she didn't even try to use any magic during this time or participate in any training. She didn't even take back her morpher even though Cam tried his hardest to give it back to her despite Shane's order. In Cam's mind, Belle would have better protection from Lother's underlings if she at least had her morpher considering she couldn't use her magic just yet. However, Cam had had it with Belle moping around Ninja Ops so he suggested that she take a walk around town to get some air. Belle frowned at his insistence, yet she still went into the city. She made sure to stay clear of the other rangers while she made her way to one of the restaurants. She ordered a simple coffee and a slice of black forest cake while she watched the city life around her. Instead of letting herself wallow in her thoughts and make her even more down, she let her mind clear so that there was nothing in her thoughts but the scenery around her. I should probably start working on the Halloween costumes pretty soon, Belle thought to herself when she let herself actually think. They have to be done by at least a week before Halloween so that I can double check the measurements to be able to wear them. With a heavy sigh, she finished the last of her cake. I didn't really taste that, she realized when she stared down at the plate that still held some chocolate shavings. Maybe I should have been focusing on the cake. Her thoughts were then interrupted by the sound of civilians screaming around her. Her head shot up in worry only to see people running away from a group of Kelzaks. Without even thinking about the consequences of her injuries, Belle ran down from the outside terrace seating area to give a flying kick to a Kelzak that was trying to go after a little girl. She could feel her ribs shift at the action and she held back a groan at the feeling. I'll definitely have to down a pain reliever potion when I get back, Belle thought to herself. I am so not ready to start fighting again.

"Are you alright?" she asked the girl who had started to cry when she saw the weird red and black creature going for her.

"Uh huh," the girl sniffed.

"Good," Belle sighed. "You should head inside to safety until they're all gone."

The girl gave a nod to the slightly taller galaxy haired girl before she bolted inside the cafe that already had a nice group of people hiding out. Satisfied that the people were safe inside the cafe, Belle turned her attention back to the Kelzaks. She had expected them to be wreaking havoc, but there was already someone who was attacking the Kelzaks instead. The person turned out to be a man who looked to be around the same height as Xander with short dark hair and a stylish goatee. Who is he, Belle asked herself while watching him. He must know karate, she decided after watching a few of his moves. As she continued to watch him, her eyes lost focus to be able to see an apparition of a green, white, and even a few red rangers suits covering his form. He was a ranger, Belle questioned in awe upon watching him fight. I can't let him fight on his own, Belle thought as she threw herself beside him to fight alongside him. His dark brown eyes glanced down to look at Belle before he launched back into fighting the Kelzaks. The two were doing reasonably well, despite Belle's pain and rapidly depleting strength, until a monster showed up that resembled an octopus. Both Belle and the stranger fell into a fighting stance at the arrival of the monster that had Belle worrying about the man's safety. Even if he was a ranger before, he doesn't have his powers now to fight back.

"I need you to fall back and help the civilians," Belle told the man, summoning her morpher to her hands.

Shane is going to kill me then Cam is going to, Belle thought to herself then pushed the thought away to focus on the enemy.

"I'll take care of the monster."

"Are you sure?" the man asked her with worry in his eyes. Belle smirked and flashed him her morpher as she strapped in back to her wrist.

"May the Power protect you," was all Belle said.

The biggest smile/smirk appeared on the man's face at her words before he repeated the words back to her.

"Anna, I don't think you're ready to fight back yet," Cam voiced over Belle's morpher.

"I don't have a choice Ron. The others aren't here yet and I just need to stall them until they get here."

Cam wanted to argue more with her, but was drowned out by Belle morphing.

"Comic Storm! Ranger Form!"

In the blink of an eye, Belle's body was clothed in her ranger uniform. I hope I can hold him off until the others get here, Belle thought to herself. Her next plan of action was to pull out both of her tessen and have them at the ready.

"Just the ranger I was looking for," the monster chuckled heartily. "Master Lothor has been looking for you."

"Sorry to disappoint," Belle sassed in hopes of stalling the monster more.

"I am not falling for your trickery," the monster scoffed. "How like a witch to be manipulating."

"Okay, there are two things wrong with that," Belle glared from under her helmet. "One, I am not a witch. And two, you have some nerve lecturing me on manipulation."

"Well I am here to cause some chaos and bring you in," the monster said. "Not play mind games."

"I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but I am not going with you."

"I knew you were injured in your last battle," the monster pointed out with a malicious glint in their eyes.

"You don't have the energy or the strength right now to fight me. I'd say that I can take you quite easily."

"Not on our watch!" Dustin shouted as he came in swinging his hammer into the monster's face. Tori and Shane on the other hand came running in to stand protectively in front of Belle.

"Are you alright Lupa?" Tori asked her fellow ranger.

"I'm fine Finn," Belle assured her.

"What the hell are you doing fighting in your condition?" Shane berated the younger ranger.

"I had to help," Belle argued. "I couldn't just sit there and do nothing."

"Well we're here now, so you can just leave. Don't forget to return your morpher when you get back."

Belle wanted to argue further with the red ranger, but she thought better of it when she could feel her injuries catch up with her. Without saying anything more, Belle ninja streaked away from the battle so that she could demorph. As soon as her protective suit was stripped away from her, her legs buckled and she would have face planted onto the ground if it wasn't for the stranger from earlier catching her.

"Easy there," he said once he had a solid grip on Belle.

"Thank you," she sighed in relief.

"Why did your leader tell you to return your morpher?"

"It's a long story."

"I've got time," he insisted before he paused. "And I didn't even give you my name. I'm Tommy Oliver."

"Annabelle Deveroux," Belle returned. "But you can just call me Anna."

"Well Anna, why don't we go to a restaurant away from here and we can talk over food?"

"Sure."

Tommy made sure to keep an arm around Belle's shoulders to give her some support as the two walked towards the nearest restaurant.

"I was just on my way to talk with the new rangers," Tommy told Belle after they had ordered.

"I'm doing a video log on the rangers of the past and present to give the rangers some history."

"That sounds amazing," Belle remarked with a smile. "How many teams of rangers have there been before the present rangers?"

"Nine rangers teams before now. I was part of three teams, being the red ranger of two."

"Were you wanting to talk with Sensei about the current rangers?"

"If I could that would be amazing," Tommy grinned. "But right now, I want to ask about that long story."

Belle gave a sigh at his persistence yet she told the whole story to the ex-ranger who listened intently with no ounce of judging in his eyes.

"And that is why I am injured and the red ranger isn't so pleased with me."

"I understand your feelings about your relationship with Hunter," Tommy said.

"I had the same thing happen to me when I first became a ranger."

This shocked Belle and she really wanted to hear the story behind it.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I actually became a ranger by our enemy turning me into an evil ranger."

Belle's eyes widened at the news and she leaned in more to take in the story unconsciously.

"If it wouldn't have been for Zordon, Kimberly, and Jason, I would have still been under Rita's control."

"So I wasn't wrong to believe in Hunter?" Belle ventured hesitantly.

"No," Tommy assured her.

"It is probably your heart that helped Hunter come to his senses. But he could have reacted better when he found out you were a ranger."

Belle couldn't find it in herself to argue, even if a small part of her wanted to forgive Hunter right away. There is just too much to forgive him that easily, she reasoned with herself. We can see about slowly forgiving him after we are able to talk.

"So why was your leader so hard on you?"

"He may think that I need more protection since I'm younger than everyone," Belle mused out loud.

"Him and Dustin have taken on the role of older brothers."

"I'm sure you can handle yourself just fine," Tommy commented.

"I have worked with the youngest ranger in history and he was only twelve. But he was one of the finest rangers I've ever known."

"Twelve years old?" Belle found herself echoing in shock.

"Twelve years old."

"That kind of makes me feel better about being fifteen," Belle admitted.

Tommy chuckled while Belle remembered that he had said that he wanted to meet with Sensei Watanabe. She quickly slipped her phone out of her purse so that she could act like she was talking into it instead of using her morpher communicator.

"Hey Cam."

"You better be thinking about coming back so you can have some medicine and rest," Cam answered as if scolding her.

"I will come back," Belle promised.

"But I need to ask Sensei Watanabe something first. Is he next to you?"

"What did you need Anna," came Sensei Watanabe's voice over the comms.

"I have an ex-ranger here with me and he wants to know if he can meet you?"

There was silence through the comms that meant that he was thinking about it. Belle waited anxiously for his words until he finally spoke.

"May I speak with him?"

Belle gestured for Tommy to scoot over then moved her phone so that it looked like they were both talking over the phone.

"Hello Sensei Watanabe," Tommy spoke over the comms. "My name is Tommy Oliver and I was hoping to talk with you over past and present rangers. I am thinking of putting together the history for future generations."

"That is a remarkable idea," Sesei Watanabe admitted. "I would be willing to have you come by our headquarters to speak with you."

"I can show him the way Sensei," Belle offered. "I was thinking of heading back anyways."

Cam made a noise of disagreement in the back of his throat at Belle's words, but she ignored it in favor of listening to Sensei Watanabe's answer.

"Very well Anna."

"Great. We won't be long."

Tommy and Belle were quick to finish and pay for their meals before Tommy followed Belle through the streets of Blue Bay.

ooo0ooo

There were multiple times that Belle had to sit down to rest along the way since she technically wasn't supposed to be using her magic still. Each time Belle felt bad for slowing them down, but Tommy was quick to assure her that it was alright.

"You'll love the entrance," Belle told Tommy as she hiked up the trail towards Ninja Ops.

"If it is anything like the forest around here," Tommy began with a wide smile.

"It's going to be amazing."

"If you think the forest here is great, you should see the forest back in my home," Belle commented offhandedly.

"You're not originally from Blue Bay?"

"No," Belle replied. "I'm from Briarwood."

"I've heard about Briarwood, but I haven't been yet."

"I'm sure you'll get the chance," Belle remarked, thinking back to her Aunt Udonna saying that she would be looking after her own rangers at some point. Tommy's brow furrowed in confusion at her words, but he let it go as they reached the waterfall that marked the entrance of Ninja Ops. At first Tommy was hesitant at walking over the water of the lake, but started walking when he saw that Belle didn't fall through.

"Cam, Sensei, we're here," Belle called out when she came down the steps.

"Welcome back Anna," Sensei Watanabe greeted the young kunoichi who came to sit in the computer seat next to the supercomputer seat.

Cam was sitting at his usual spot at the computer with two potions sitting on the computer desk that he all but shoved into Belle's hands when she sat down. Belle rolled her eyes but she was grateful that Cam had them ready for her and downed them quickly. The Wind rangers were also there standing to the side while Sensei Watanabe was sitting in his habitat.

"Tommy, this is Sensei Watanabe," Belle introduced the older man while gesturing to the guinea pig.

"Sensei Watanabe, this is Tommy Oliver."

"It is a pleasure to meet you Sensei Watanabe," Tommy bowed to the small master in the typical karate etiquette.

"The pleasure is all mine," Sensei Watanabe returned. "You said that you wanted to talk over ranger history?"

"Yes."

"How many teams have there been so far?"

"Nine in total, sir. The first team was the Mighty Morphing Rangers. I was not part of the original team. I joined after our enemy Rita Repulsa made me an evil ranger."

There was a sharp intake from Shane at the news while his eyes flashed in anger.

"She manipulated me into fighting the rangers at the time with everything I had. The rangers were trying so hard to beat me, yet when they found out who I was, they tried so hard to snap me out of Rita's spell."

When Belle heard this part of the story again, she couldn't help but think of Hunter which made her tense in her seat. Cam saw her tense up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders so that she could lean on him for comfort and so that she didn't have to sit herself upright on her own.

"Because they tried so hard to free me, they succeeded and gained a strong ally in the process."

"So you were completely free of Rita's control?" Shane questioned the ex-ranger. "Did you almost kill one of the rangers?"

"I was," Tommy confirmed with a strong nod. "And as for almost killing a ranger, I have. I almost killed the red ranger. If he wouldn't have been beamed back to the command center, he would have died by my blade."

Tommy gave a deep sigh.

"When I was freed, I thought that my past actions didn't make me a good ranger, but the team and Zordon were convinced that it was because of my actions that I should pick up my mantle as ranger again."

Everyone was silent for a few moments to digest Tommy's words before Sensei Watanabe spoke again.

"What of the other ranger teams?"

"The second team were the Alien Rangers that stepped in when the original rangers were turned into children. The Alien Rangers came from the planet Aquitar. They protected the Earth while the child rangers went looking for the Zeo Sub-Crystals that would return them to their natural age. This leads to the next group of rangers, the Zeo Rangers. I came back as the leader of the rangers, the Red Zeo Ranger."

At this point, everyone in the room was held captive by Tommy's words as he told of his and the general ranger past.

"A new threat named Devatox came after who was too strong for our Zeo powers. We were then sent on a quest to receive new powers. My friend Rocky was going to still be with us, but a new ranger stepped up to the plate."

At Tommy's smile, Belle's face brightened when she realized that this is where the youngest ranger in history came in.

"A remarkable boy named Justin, who was only twelve years old, joined us on our journey."

"How could you let a twelve year old boy join!" Shane all but exploded. "He could have gotten himself killed!"

"Shane, you will show respect to our guest," Sensei Watanabe scolded the sudden outburst from the red ranger.

"Yes, Sensei."

"Justin knew what he was doing when he joined," Tommy pointed out calmly. "I dare say that Justin has been one of the best rangers I have fought with despite his age. Much like Anna here."

As Tommy's story went on, Belle could feel herself get sleepy now that the potions were kicking in.

"New rangers came to replace the old rangers except for Justin that made the new Turbo Rangers. The ranger team after that were the Space Rangers who were made up of the remnants of the new Turbo team minus Justin. The rangers left to try to find Zordon in space, but he had decided to stay on Earth with his father. While in space, the rangers met Andros who gave the rangers their new Space Morphers. At the end of their journey, Zordon died which resulted in the enemy being purified as humans."

"That must have been hard losing your mentor," Belle spoke up when she could sense Tommy's pain.

"It had to be done," was all Tommy said. "Because of his passing, the threat was taken care of so that everyone could be safe."

Tommy gave a sigh to recollect his thoughts before launching into the next set of rangers.

"The rangers that came after were the Lost Galaxy Rangers. They were chosen to fight Scorpius and restore peace to the galaxy. When they had completed their mission, the rangers returned the source of their powers and it restored life to the planet Mirinoi. The next group of rangers were the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers. They were tasked with fighting the demons that rose from the demon burial ground under the city they resided in."

Everyone looked horrified at the mention of demons, although Belle didn't look as surprised as the rest.

"Why aren't you surprised Anna?" Tori asked her fellow ranger.

"We have something like that back in Briarwood," Belle told her that had everyone's attention snapping back to her. Upon seeing everyone's attention on her, Belle gave a huff, but nonetheless started to explain.

"Briarwood was once the battleground between a small legion of wizards and sorceresses against Morticon and his army of the Undead. My Uncle Leanbow ended the battle by giving his life to seal the army and their leader in the Underworld. It is foretold that the seal will eventually break and a new group of rangers will be called to fight."

No one could say anything towards the way Belle told the story. They couldn't believe that Belle had grown up with the knowledge or even the image of the undead as an enemy. Cam couldn't help remembering Belle's fear and wondered how she had taken the story when she was first told.

"You were saying Tommy?"

"Right," he said before he continued on. "Each of the Lightspeed Rangers were in respected fields. The red ranger was a firefighter in the local department, the blue ranger was a lifeguard and marine animal trainer at a local marine amusement park, the green ranger was a stunt pilot, the yellow ranger was an extreme sports athlete, and the pink ranger was a nurse who practiced medical arts. At one point, the Galaxy Rangers came back to team up with the Lightspeed Rangers."

"Epic ranger team up," Belle whispered to Cam sleepily that had him shaking his head.

"Only you Anna."

"The next team were the Time Force Rangers," Tommy chuckled after hearing the back and forth between Cam and Belle.

"The majority of the rangers come from the year 3000 to the year 2001 to track down the escaped convict Ransik. Their red ranger was struck down before the time leap, so the rangers had to find someone who was the red ranger's ancestor because the morphers were centered around a ranger's DNA. When they found his ancestor, he became the new red ranger and helped the team with their fight. The Lightforce Rangers also come back to help with the Time Force Rangers at some point. When defeated, Ransik takes responsibility for his actions and decides to carve his own path in life anew."

A happy smile settled on Belle's lips at the news while the others looked confused at Tommy's words. Although her feelings about Hunter were kind of mixed at the moment, she was happy that there could be a chance for him and his brother to atone for their misguided actions.

"Why would he just suddenly decide to repent?" Shane questioned. "I thought he was the bad guy."

"Not everything is as it seems," Tommy pointed out.

"Who is to say that just because you were once evil makes it so that you must be labeled as such for the rest of your life? Everyone has the ability to change."

Belle couldn't agree more.

"The last team before you were the Wild Force Rangers. The new rangers are tasked with fighting a race called the Orgs led by Master Org. The Time Rangers came back to help the Wild Force Rangers when they had to deal with Mutant Orgs with the help of Ransik. I was also called to help as the Zeo Red Ranger along with previous red rangers."

"I want a ranger team up," Dustin spoke up.

Belle wanted to agree with Dustin, but by this time she was hardly aware of what was going on around her.

"I believe it is time to introduce our current rangers as well as tell you the situation," Sensei Watanabe said.

"There are many ninja academies in the world that have different fighting styles that were attacked by the evil Lothor. He took all of the ninja students and their teachers except for this one, Annabelle from the Cosmic Ninja Academy, and the Bradley brothers from the Thunder Ninja Academy. This is the Wind Ninja Academy and these are the Wind Ninja Rangers. The Red Wind Ranger, Shane."

"Hi."

"The Blue Wind Ranger, Tori."

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Oliver."

"The Yellow Wind Ranger, Dustin."

"It must be so cool to be a ranger so many times."

"And the White Gold Ranger."

"Who is currently all but passed out," Cam pointed out when he turned to see Belle leaning heavily against him.

"Should we move her?" Tori asked.

"I'll take her to her room," Cam offered, carefully moving Belle a little so that he could scoop her up in his arms. Everyone else watched as Cam ventured towards the living area part of Ninja Ops. He made sure she was tucked in before he came back to the command center with a question on his tongue.

"What made you want to start documenting ranger history?" Cam asked as he sat back down in his seat.

"I felt like this could be helpful to future rangers," Tommy told him. "If any of our old villains come back, it would give the rangers direction on where to go for help."

Cam nodded to show he understood.

"If you have any further questions, I would be more than happy to oblige," Sensei Watanabe told Tommy.

He didn't hesitate to go talk with the guinea pig master while the other rangers got together to talk.

"That guy is awesome," Dustin grinned in excitement. "How did Anna meet him?"

"I guess we'll have to ask her when she wakes up," Tori said.

Once Tommy had asked all of the questions that he could think of, he bid Sensei Watanabe goodbye and headed back to his hotel room with promises of returning over the next few days for more material. For the rest of that day, Belle slept off and on with taking her medicine that Cam was really happy about. When he got the chance, he was checking up on her and bringing her food or anything else she needed. This recuperation was enough that by the next day, Belle was able to use her magic for lower level spells but not for advanced ones or for anything regarding her ranger duties. This was also when Cam had a talk with Shane about taking Belle's morpher away from her. Cam had pointed out, even if Belle was still recovering, her ranger form would have offered her more protection from the attack than with nothing. Shane reluctantly agreed to give Belle her morpher back on the condition that she was not to use it unless it was an emergency until her mother cleared her with a recovered bill of health. Belle agreed and used her recuperation time to focus instead on the Halloween costumes for her and her childhood friends.

And there we have it lovelies. The next chapter of the revised story. I noticed that this chapter is longer than the original and yet I changed a good chunk of the things that happened towards the end of the chapter. I realized as I was editing, that Belle would still be recovering and morphing if even for that small amount of time would be taxing on her. Not to mention the fighting she did even before she morphed. I hope that the way I portrayed her healing is as realistic as potions that can speed up your healing can be. I know that bruised ribs can take about a month to heal so I wanted to say that broken could take twice as long to heal, but I wanted to use the bruised healing time since Mama Luna and Udonna healed her broken ribs when they were healing her. I want to have her healed up enough for the next chapter, which is about a week or so after this chapter. I also don't quite know how the next chapter is going to turn out, which is a running theme for each of the revised chapters that I'm working on. So, I would like to ask you guys what you think about this new timeline that I am writing in place of the original. I want to know what you like more about the revised version versus the original or what you liked about the original that you didn't like was changed in the revised. Quite honestly, I just want to hear your input on the story so far. I would love it if we could set up a back and forth between you guys and me because I love hearing what you guys have to say. Anyways, that's all I had so I'll get on with the outro. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to shoot me a pm or leave a review. Remember, reviews are magic!
