Hello everybody! DWG is back! I am VERY sorry for the months of no update, but that's what happens when you're a student and have to raise your grades. Which is also one of the reasons I haven't been able to update. Because one of my subject's grade is a failing grade! I have, and will still, work my ass off to be able to keep up. Otherwise, I might get held up a year…which is bad. Not only will my parents be disappointed, but I won't be able to spend some time with a girl that I currently have my eyes on…

Anyway! I have to set up my priorities! But for now, reviews!

In the last chapter, I received quite a few reviews…sadly…but I'll make do with that! It's fine…you know…anyways! To my replies to the reviews!

sampler22613- Thanks, I know that my (usual) schedule is once a month, so I appreciate the patience that some people have.

Undeadlord22- Hahaha, thanks, life ain't life without problems, so I guess this is my problem on the family side. I know that my anger gets to me at times…but that's why I've downloaded Overlord Raising Hell! Now I can kill the peasants and be evil while doing it! MUAHAHAHAHAH!

Warmaster Koss- Thanks for the reviews for both chapters 17 and 18. Here's my reply to each chapter.

Warmaster Koss (Ch. 17)- Yes, I know that Alain using psionic powers can help. But if you would think about it, it would raise a lot of questions, especially since some of the characters think that Alain's Kinetic Blast is his Semblance.

Warmaster Koss (Ch. 18)- Don't worry, he'll use it more and more as time goes on. Especially on Volume 3. You can bet my ass that I'll save Pyrrha. And about him cutting loose? Trust me…I plan to…and the twins…well they will have their part, just not gonna show it yet…

And that is all!

Now THIS part here is important. Why? Because I'm feeling a little itch for this. I have the itch to put my other two stories on hold for now, which means I'll stop my update cycle for a while and focus on this story for now. Which means…this story will be updated continuously…I'll go for 3-5 chapters.

BUT do keep in mind that its only an ITCH, which means that there is a CHANCE that I won't follow through and continue on with my regular update cycle.

I don't own anything except some stuff

Leaf skipped happily as she walked beside Alain. Right now, they are heading to train. Tir and Krista could have been with them, but once Tir heard about a new cake shop opening, she left the dorms in a dash and pretty much demanded a Bullhead right away. Thankfully, Krista was with her to make sure everything comes out alright.

"So, what do you need me to do?" Leaf stopped and twirled as she gave Alain a cheerful smile. "I need to practice my shooting! Duh!"

Sighing, Alain looked at Leaf with a raised brow.

"Why me? You know you could have asked Ruby."

"I know, but she was busy maintaining Crescent Rose. And I also remember you handling a rifle pretty well back when you first came to the village."

Raising another brow, Alain crossed his arms with a questioning gaze.

"So, you were stalking me?"

Leaf stopped as she suddenly began to wave her hands frantically in the air.

"I-I-I'm not stalking!" She blushed as she looked at Alain's face. "I was observing you!" And Alain got a confused face.

"But isn't that the same?"

"No, it's not!"

"Bu-"

"It's not the same!"

"Lea-"

"You're spending time with me!" Alain stopped as Leaf began to pout at him, a few tears were threatening to fall from her eyes, while a blush was accompanying her puffed-up cheeks. Sighing, Alain gave her a gentle smile and patted her head, causing her to mewl in protest.

"Okay come on, let's see what I can do."

Leaf's eyes shined as she resumed her skipping with Alain.

Watching from afar is Port, watching the scene with a smile.

"Ah, to be young again."

7 minutes later, training area

Alain watched Leaf run, jump, and shoot in the simulation. She has pretty good reflexes and her accuracy is spot on. The only problem is her insistence that she needs to do more damage. Looking at her weapon, he can see why she would complain. The damage done is good enough to penetrate an Alpha Beowolf's bony armor. The only problem is the fact that she needs some time before she can fire again.

'The rifles that all Ghosts use…maybe I could ask Ruby to replicate it? No, the C-20A rifle is way too advance and could draw suspicion.' Closing his eyes, Alain crossed his arms as he began to think. 'Maybe I could ask Ruby to upgrade her weapon? Maybe an automatic or a burst? With Leaf's physique, the burst is probably the best way to go.'

Feeling someone approach him from behind, he glanced at his back and blinked as he saw Velvet playing with her fingers and behind her is Coco with a playful grin.

Turning around, he gave both girls a friendly smile. Velvet waved her hands shyly as she tried to make herself small.

Coco, however, gave him a confident wave as she nodded to her fellow team leader.

"Heya Velvet."

Velvet squeaked as she tried to form words but only came out as gibberish.

Seeing this, Coco sighed as she held Velvet's right shoulder and gave her a reassuring pat. Velvet smiled with the support as she stood straight.

"Hi, Alain…" She rubbed her left arm as she bashfully looks to the side. Alain blinked as he sensed Velvet's shyness practically oozing from her very body.

"Done!"

Velvet jumped as Leaf appeared beside Alain.

Punching Alain in the arm softly, Leaf gave him a cute glare.

"Alain you Casanova! Flirting with other girls when you're spending time with me!"

Alain blushed as he waved his arms in front of Leaf. "I am NOT a Casanova! And I'm only talking with them!" Leaf kept her glare towards him for a few seconds until turning her head to the side with a slight huff.

Meanwhile, Coco was too busy trying to contain her laughter While Velvet doesn't know what to do with the current situation.

Taking this as a chance to shift the subject and attention of Leaf, Alain turned to Coco.

"Leaf, I want you to meet with Coco. She's Velvet's leader. And like you, use guns."

And with that Leaf's eyes shone as she immediately pointed a finger at Coco.

"I challenge you to a shoot-off!"

Silence.

Alain blinked as he tried to replay what Leaf just said.

'D-Did Leaf just challenge Coco? Who also has a freaking MINIGUN?! To a shoot-off?!'

Needless to say, Alain was visibly shocked, heck even the other students stopped and stared at what's happening.

Velvet, meanwhile finally decides that now is the time to speak.

"C-Can I have your number?"

Snapping out of it, Alain looked at Velvet and gave her a gentle smile as he nodded and decided to talk with Velvet on a table with chairs. Coco saw this and smirked as she mentally said her good luck to Velvet.

After that day, Velvet has not only grown closer to Alain, but she also got his Scroll number.

The day after, they went on a mission.

2 weeks later, night time, rooftops

Alain walked towards the roof with Joan and Pyrrha in tow. The two girls were discussing a few things, such as Joan's forms and even the dance is involved. Opening the door, Alain sighed as he felt the night's cold air cool his skin.

"Okay, get ready Joan. Pyrrha, you can train with Joan first. I wanna enjoy this feeling for a little while." Pyrrha nodded as she gave a smile, turning towards her partner, she dragged Joan towards the usual training area.

Alain smiled as he took a deep breath. Closing his eyes, he admired the environment around him, despite the fact that the moon is partly destroyed, everything looked so peaceful. Smirking to himself, he thought of what would happen if everyone he knew were here.

Chuckling to himself, he can already tell what their reaction will be.

'Holy hell…what happened to the moon?!' Jim would definitely say that.

'Organism. Grimm. Evolution by time. Slow process…NOT USEFUL! NOT!' Good old Abathur, always doing what's best for the Swarm.

'Essence flows…essence…disappears?' Dehaka would lose his mind here.

'Wow, did I really send you here? Care to greet me to your friends? I'd love to meet them~!' Alain smiled sadly as he opened his eyes.

He really misses his sister.

Sighing to himself, Alain turned around and started walking towards Pyrrha and Joan, both of them practicing forms.

'Can't think about it right now, I was prepared to go here knowing that I won't be returning to the Koprulu Sector. If its to atone for sis…then I'll do anything…' He thought as he sat down and leaned back on a fence, watching the two. He closed his eyes as he remembered meeting Kerrigan again at Skygeirr. Trained as a Ghost, he can read her mind.

Even if her Psionic level is beyond him, even if Kerrigan hides it. He can feel it. Her pain…her regret…her loss…all because of one man…

Flashback, after the fall of New Gettysburg

Alain entered the bridge. Sighing as he popped the stiff bones on his back, he smiled as he saw Arcturus Mengsk. Walking towards the old man, he received a nod from him.

"Welcome back Alain, I trust that your mission went well?"

"Yes, sir. I will have my report be delivered in the archives." Mengsk nodded as he gave Alain a pat on the shoulder. Looking around, Alain asked a question.

"Sir, if I may ask. Where is my sister, currently?" Mengsk slowly looked down in sadness as he turned around with a sigh.

Seeing this, Alain can feel his heartbeat slowly in fear.

"Son…I am sorry to say this…but your sister is dead…" Immediately, Alain's world was smashed into pieces as he felt the lower half of his body weaken in disbelief. Immediately, Mengsk went over to him and kneeled as he held on to his shoulders.

"Pull yourself together, her death will not be in vain," Mengsk said to him with a hidden smirk as Alain kept his head down, hot tears falling from his eyes.

Sighing, Mengsk looked around and glared at the crew that looked at him. With only one look, each of them went back to their work.

Standing up, Mengsk looked at Alain with a passive look as a plan began to form on his head. A plan to bring Alain Kerrigan, a Ghost that is almost on par with his sister, Sarah Kerrigan, to his side.

'In chess, you can lose your most powerful piece…but save a Pawn…' Mengsk thought as he took a deep breath.

"If you have time to cry, then you have time to avenge your sister."

Alain stopped as the sadness he felt was replaced by anger and determination. Standing up, he wiped the tears off his face and looked at Mengsk straight in the eyes.

"How did she die?"

Mengsk stopped himself before he could talk. Looking at Alain's face, he can no longer see the boy that was doted by his sister. Now he sees a man, a Ghost. Thinking for a while, Mengsk nodded as he sighed.

"Somehow, the Zerg managed to overwhelm New Gettysburg. We tried to have our ships land and evacuate everyone…but it was already too late. Everywhere we look, everywhere we scan…no one survived with that much Zerg."

"What should I do?" Smiling to himself, Mengsk took hold of Alain's right shoulder. "For now, you have to rest." He merely nodded as he left for his room.

Alain's room, 3 minutes later

Alain stared at the light on his bed with dull eyes as he tried to have his brain figure out exactly HOW the Zerg managed to overrun New Gettysburg.

With his sister being there, there shouldn't be any problem…especially with the Commander.

The Commander has enough experience and there should be enough resources down at New Gettysburg to build an army…so how? No matter how much he tries to see through it, there is no way he can see New Gettysburg fall, especially with the Protoss being there as backup if things go bad.

Seeing a green light pop up on his desk, Alain blinked as he got up from his bed. Pressing a button, Alain leaned close.

"Patch it through."

"Incoming Transmission."

"Alain?" Seeing the familiar face of his sister's lover, Alain merely nodded as he took a seat. "Glad to see you kid! Right now, you need to keep quiet." Alain looked at Jim in confusion as he listened.

"Listen, we ain't got much time, but you need to hear me out…"

End of Flashback

"Alain?" Opening his eyes, he was greeted by two pairs of eyes looking at him in worry. Leaning up, Alain sighed as he got up.

"What's up?"

Joan looked down as she tried to form words. Pyrrha, looking at him worriedly, got in front of him as she held his cheeks, a slight blush coloring hers. Alain kept his eyes on Pyrrha in bewilderment as his cheeks redden at the contact.

"You were crying."

"Eh?" Alain's eyes widened as, true to Pyrrha's words, he felt something wet being wiped away by Pyrrha's hands. Her gentle touch caused him to see something that he always treasures. Something that was taken away from him. Something warm and welcoming.

Before he knew it, his mouth uttered a single word.

"Sis…"

Pyrrha looked surprised but immediately gave him a gentle smile as she gave a sigh of relief. Joan managed to understand the situation and nodded to herself as she got near Alain.

"Alain?" Snapping out of it, he immediately leaned back, away from Pyrrha's hands. She gave a cute giggle as she put her hands behind her back. Joan smiled as she looked at Alain's eyes. "You going to be okay?" She asked him as she felt her heartbeat in nervousness.

'You can do it! Just ask him out on the dance!' Joan's thought as she bit her lower lip. Sighing as she blinked, she stared at Alain's eyes, his face looking at her with a gentle smile.

Her cheeks went red in an instant as she felt herself panic inside.

'I can't do it! It's impossible! Maybe if I was like Nora or Yang, then maybe!' She thought as she closed her eyes. Seeing this, Pyrrha decided to take control of the situation.

"If you don't mind us asking…but…why were you crying?" Alain looked at the shattered moon and smiled sadly.

"It's my sister…"

Pyrrha managed to catch the tone. It was sad. Joan paused her panic attack and looked at Alain in worry as he leaned on the fence.

"I was just thinking about how much she mattered to me…and how much I'll miss her." He muttered loud enough for the two to hear. Deciding to try and know more, Joan opened her mouth.

"Where is she?"

Alain's eyes looked down.

"I don't know…she's…I just know that I won't see her again…" Immediately, he felt two pairs of arms wrap around him tightly. Alain smiled as he hugged them back, a few tears staining his chest, thanks to Joan.

"Come on, I thought we're supposed to be training here." He joked with a gentle smile as Pyrrha took a few steps back, her cheeks red in embarrassment as she realized what she did. He chuckled as he looked at Joan, who is still holding on to him tightly. Giving her a light shake, Joan got herself off of him with a few tears threatening to fall from her blue eyes.

"I should apologize." Joan sniffed as she rubbed the remaining tears off her eyes.

Giving a sigh, Alain shook his head.

"If it makes you feel any better, I got over it. So, you don't have to apologize." Joan shook her head softly as she looked straight at his eyes. "No, even if you got over it, it wasn't right for me to ask that. I should've gotten the hint earlier. I'm sorry, Alain." He smiled as he gave her a gentle hug, which in turn caused Joan's face to go red as a tomato. "Well if it stops you from blaming yourself…I forgive you."

Joan nodded as Alain pulled away from her, much to her disappointment.

But that turned into fear as Alain looked at her and grinned.

"Back to training!"

Joan can only groan as Pyrrha used her semblance to drag Joan back with her. Alain chuckled as he crossed his arms. Looking at Joan as she practiced swinging with her sword with one hand, an idea formed in his head.

"From now on, every night you swing your sword a hundred times with each hand." Joan can only look at him in silent shock, while Pyrrha looked on with interest. "W-Why?" Joan whimpered as she hoped that it was only a joke.

"You need to get used to it. If you only focus on your dominant hand, then think about it if you have Crocea Mors on your weaker hand. It will make you very versatile in certain situations." Joan gulped as she looked at her sword and back to Alain.

Sighing, Alain walked a few steps forward and put his right hand on his right hip. "If you don't do it, then fate will screw you over. And you wouldn't want that." Pyrrha looked at him curiously. "That's why I'm making you stronger, better. So that you can face fate head-on and take it by the reins." Joan's eyes widened as Alain seemed to release an aura of confidence.

Pyrrha was amazed, she had always used what she has in its fullest. Her Semblance being one of them. She would argue that she is very versatile in all areas. But now that she thinks about it, it seems as if Alain is a lot more versatile than her…WAY too versatile.

With his very high set of skills, he is a force to be reckoned with. But she has already noticed something odd. Whenever he spars with her, Yang, Nora, and Tir, he always has something about him. As if he has someone to entertain him in a fight.

Which brings up the question about Alain.

How strong is he?

Most of his opponents can only last a minute or less. And in those spars, he always uses Wrath of Artanis, never his Semblance. He only uses it when the timer has passed the minute mark.

With that much information, everyone with a brain already knows that Alain is a bit of a battle junkie.

But to her, she feels as if Alain is not bringing out his best.

If she were to have a spar with him, a lot would say that he was going at it seriously. But that is not the case for her. No. If she would take a guess, he was only doing it at 60% at most…maybe.

She managed to figure it in their last spar during combat class.

Flashback

Pyrrha dodged a diagonal swing from Alain. She can tell that he was excited with his wide grin. 'Well, can't let him have all the fun!' She thought to herself as she raised her shield and blocked a kick aimed for her head.

She did a backflip, which also caused her to kick Alain to the chin, causing him to go a few steps back. He held his jaw for a few seconds but shrugged it off with a smile.

It was past a minute and Alain was already getting pumped up. Rolling to the side, she didn't mind the mini-explosion that happened. She could have used her shield, but she didn't. Despite the size of the explosion, the impact of it, and as well as the fact that it would send her a couple of feet away was more than enough of a reason to dodge it.

Basically meaning, blocking his Semblance, simply not a good idea.

Transforming her weapon into its rifle mode, she aimed at Alain. He circled around her, quickly dodging each shot. Stopping herself from firing anymore, she looked around and quickly shot at the ground, predicting where Alain would run.

Pyrrha held her rifle tightly as she formed a plan.

'Two things can happen. One, he would keep on running and he would be shot. Two, he would see it and jump. Either way, any of those two would give me a chance to deal some damage.' She made sure to steady her aim as she readied herself.

"I only have one shot. He wouldn't make the same mistake twice." She muttered to herself as she readied her finger.

Time slowed down as she kept her eyes open on Alain.

Alain smirked as he saw through Pyrrha's plan. 'Good job Pyrrha, predicting things is good. But the thing about planning is…' His eyes widened in excitement as he forced himself to stop.

Pyrrha's eyes widened as she quickly looked up, only to see nothing.

"Oh no!" She quickly rolled to the right as she barely dodged Alain's punch. Gritting her teeth, she jumped back and quickly transformed her rifle into a spear. 'I was counting on that plan way too much!' She berated herself as she eyed Alain charging her head-on.

Pyrrha then smiled in excitement as she spun and raised her spear high into the sky. Seeing this, Alain crossed his arms.

'An opening!' Pyrrha quickly used her Semblance to slightly lower Alain's guard. But much to her shock, his arms barely moved!

Alain smirked as he felt the tremor of Pyrrha's weapon hitting his gauntleted arms. Quickly grabbing her spear, he got under her and clenched his right fist. Seeing this, Pyrrha used her shield to block his attack. But what she didn't expect was this.

A Kinetic Blast.

Point blank to her shield.

BOOM!

Gasping in surprise, she felt the impact push her off the ring. She groaned as she got up from the ground and looked at Alain who is, much to her surprise, off the ring as well. He looked around and scratched the back of his head with a cheeky grin.

"Looks like I overdid it."

"It's a draw!"

End of Flashback

Her Semblance didn't work on him when she needed it the most.

The only way Alain can resist her Semblance was if he had the power to resist it. Either by Semblance or by strength alone.

'Since he already has a Semblance, it wouldn't make sense if he has two. So, it could only mean that his strength his above mine…no, perhaps towering even.' She thought as she watched Alain guide Joan with her swings.

"I'm thinking about this way too much." She muttered to herself as she turned around and watched the stars.

"Come on! Swing harder!"

"I'm trying!"

"You're wasting too much energy!"

She can only chuckle as Joan swings her sword in certain ways in order to amuse Alain the Drill Sergeant.

"We can do this until morning if you don't do it right. So, get swinging!"

"Yes!"

Next day

Joan groaned as she got up from her bed. Feeling her sore arms, she winced as she moved it around. Thankfully, she has plenty of Aura to soothe the pain. But it doesn't change the fact that it still hurts, especially when Alain forced her to swing five more times whenever she swung wrong.

She put her hands behind her back and arched it. She sighed as she heard the satisfying pops. 'Alain really did put me through hell last night…I hope its all worth it.' She thought to herself as she began walking towards the bathroom.

"Pancakes…" Nora drooled as she chewed into her pillow. Pyrrha was still asleep as she let out an occasional soft snore. Ren was silent but most likely still vigilant, Joan found out about that the day after their team was formed.

Opening the door to the bathroom, she turned on the lights and locked the door. Sighing, she began to remove her pajamas and looked at herself in the mirror. She winced as she noticed slight bags forming under her eyes. "If the others saw this, they'd probably beat Alain up…" She paused as she blinked. "Maybe…Nah, I doubt that they can hurt Alain." Chuckling, she grabbed her discarded clothing and dumped them into the basket.

Getting in the shower, she shivered as she felt the cold touch her feet. Fortunately, there was hot water. She pressed the hot water and turned the switch. Sighing in bliss, she closed her eyes as she faced the showerhead.

'Now…how am I going to ask Alain out?' She thought as she lowered her head and opened her eyes, her mind drifting towards said person. 'I want to ask him directly but…I can't…he is way better than me…he deserves better than me.' She thought dejectedly as she looked down sadly.

"I'm no good. I'm not strong like Nora or Yang, he obviously likes strong girls." Her mind drifted to the many times when Alain was really enjoying himself when he faced against strong opponents. He was clearly happy with the challenges facing him.

Unlike her, a girl who faked her transcripts, Pyrrha or even Nora is a better match with him, spar or no spar.

She felt an imaginary dark cloud form on her head as she sighed dejectedly. 'Well…I may not be strong…but…' Her eyes flashed as she remembered one of many training sessions wherein Alain was training her.

Flashback

Joan panted as she jogged behind Alain and Pyrrha. Right now, Alain had Pyrrha wake her at 5 AM. Something that was ridiculous in Joan's opinion, especially since its Saturday.

"Come on! If you don't catch up now then you're dead!"

And that's another thing. If Joan doesn't catch up to either Pyrrha or Alain every 5 minutes, then she would be eaten by an imaginary Grimm and 'die'. And if she 'dies' then she would be punished.

Joan gulped a mouthful of air as she forced her sore legs to keep going. "I-I'm trying! Slow down!" Alain ignored her plea while Pyrrha looked at her with an apologizing look. "So that's it? Remember Joan, there are no shortcuts in life!" Alain was barely even sweating, in fact, it looks like he is thinking of something else.

"Sorry Joan, but Alain's right." Pyrrha looked in front of her as she gave the occasional pant. Alain smirked as he looked behind him. "Tell you what? You catch up to me, then I'll do one thing you want." Joan's eyes widened as she eyed Alain's challenging look. She wanted to take the challenge, but her legs say otherwise.

"You know I can't do that! We've been jogging for an hour and my legs are hurting!"

Alain sighed as he turned his attention in front of him. "So, you're giving up?" Joan's eyes widened as she looked at Alain. She can feel the disappointment coming from his voice alone. "If you're giving up on this, then you might as well give up on being a Huntress." Alain said it so coldly, its as if he was serious. Pyrrha remained quiet, but it was obvious that she was surprised.

"If you can't do this much, then you're not cut out for it."

Joan gritted her teeth as she began to push her legs to the limit.

'I know that he doesn't mean it…but it hurts…I…I have to prove it!'

Alain began to go faster, Pyrrha was already lagging behind him. Glancing behind him, he can see Joan catching up. He frowned as he sighed. 'Sorry Joan, but you've got to push yourself to your limit. Break it. Don't stop at a hundred percent, go beyond it!' He smirked as he felt Joan passing Pyrrha.

'I won't give up!'

"Good! Keep going, Joan!" Pyrrha cheered as she looked at Joan proudly. She panted heavily as she continued speeding herself up.

'I'll prove it!'

Alain glanced behind him with a proud look as he slowed down slightly.

'I'll be a Huntress!'

As soon as she passed by Alain, she felt herself lose consciousness and almost fell down face first if it wasn't for Alain catching her.

Alain's eyes were glowing slightly as he gave Joan a proud smile. "Congratulations, you've proved yourself again. Now rest up." Pyrrha caught up to them, the worry was evident on her face. Alain looked at her with a soft smile as he grabbed Joan by the shoulder and legs and lifted her up bridal style.

"She's fine. Just tired."

Pyrrha stopped in her tracks and smiled as she saw Joan's smile.

Flashback end

'That's right…I won't give up! I'll ask Alain out for the dance for sure!'

Joan was determined to do it. If she can prove to others that she can be a Huntress, then she can prove that she will never give up!

'That is an Arc's promise.'

KNOCK KNOCK

"Joan? You there?" Pyrrha called out as she patiently waited for Joan to respond. "Y-Yeah! Just got inside!" She said as she began to apply shampoo to her hair.

"Oh, take your time! I'll be waiting!"

"Okay!"

With Alain, 5 hours later

Alain dodged a swing from Krista as he made a backflip. He then jumped back as Krista began to shoot him. His eyes widened slightly as he felt a bullet barely graze his left ear. Looking at Krista, it was clear that she was focused or perhaps determined is the right way to call it. After all, she did request him to do something for her.

She wanted to spar with him, without holding back.

But seeing as he can easily kill anyone if he were to go completely serious, then it's not an option. Aura or not, they wouldn't be able to handle the massive amount of concentrated Psionic Energy coming from him.

But Alain did grant her wish. On one condition.

It's a simple condition, but it is easier said than done. After all, there's a reason why he is one of the best students Beacon has.

She has to land a hit on him. And only then, will he go 'serious' on her. But he has to keep up the façade. After all, he wouldn't REALLY hurt anyone…unless if you're Grimm, White Fang, Hybrid, or the very Evil that he promised to destroy.

'Hmm, Krista sure is making progress.' He thought to himself as his mind went back to the first few weeks when Krista was still the shy and meek girl. But now, she is changed. Tir did mention that Krista can be very shy around strangers. But she also has an aura around her that causes other people to be friends with her or in other cases fall in love with her.

In fact, a couple of days back then, there was a time when a bunch of love letters kept on showing inside their room via sliding said letter beneath the door.

Thankfully, it stopped when Tir blocked the small opening. Just don't ask where she got the long piece of cast iron. And the fact that Tir was acting like an overprotective sister.

"Come on Krista! I know you can do better than that!" Alain dashed towards her causing her eyes to widen as he got in front of her. He ducked, dodging a kick aiming for his torso. Aiming a fist towards her stomach, Alain made sure to use only a little bit of his strength.

However, instead of being able to hit her, he felt something else…something painful…something that…

"Ah! My hand!"

Caused him to reel his hand in shock…literally. Looking at Krista, his eyes widened as he noticed something covering-no, protecting her. It was yellow and it seemed to crackle with electricity. He noted that Krista has her eyes closed rather tightly. He narrowed his eyes as he circled around Krista. Taking note of the crackle each time he got close, he nodded as he tried to poke it.

A stupid mistake.

"Argh!" He winced as he felt the shock heat his finger slightly. Shaking his finger, he looked at Krista who is now looking at him curiously.

"Handy Semblance." He gave a thumbs up as he nodded in approval. It's not the same as the Shields of the Protoss, but it does get the job done. And it can cause damage.

Looking at her team leader, Krista gulped as she nodded in acceptance. A small smile graced her face as she tightened her grip on her weapon. Raising a brow, Alain watched as Krista changed her weapon into its sword form.

Smirking, he clenched his fists as his blades unsheathe themselves with a loud shing. He jumped back in order to give Krista some breathing room

'With the right amount of Psionic Energy, I can easily break through that. I just don't want to test it right now, she could get hurt. But if sh-what the hell?!'

His eyes widened as he was suddenly encased with the same barrier that Krista protected herself with and the worst part? It was getting smaller.

'This is quite the predicament. Still, if she's maintaining this barrier and making it smaller, she has to be running on fumes right now.' And he guessed it right. Krista is panting slightly as she eyed Alain cautiously.

If one were to look at Krista's Aura meter, then they can see that her Aura is dropping slowly but surely.

'But then again…' His eyes quickly glanced towards his Aura meter. Surprisingly enough, it was in the yellow. But then again, he was shocked twice. Whether or not it was only for a few seconds doesn't matter. Getting electrocuted doesn't feel nice. It will always hurt instantaneously.

His eyes darted around the barrier, he can easily break through if he blasted it with a Kinetic Blast, he just didn't know how strong it would have to be. Too weak, then he wouldn't be able to damage the barrier, too strong then he can break out BUT he would be charred. Not that it would kill him. But either way, it's a gamble…unless…

"Well, a gamble it is…" He chuckled humorously as he prepared a Kinetic Blast. Krista's eyes widened as she saw Alain move his hand as if he is about to punch someone.

'Is he planning on punching through? That could work, but the damage he would receive would put his Aura in the orange or worse, red.' She looked at his hand closely, she was shocked to find out what he was doing. 'He's going to use his Semblance?! That would harm him more than it would help him! I've got to finish this now!'

Narrowing her eyes, she used her Semblance to make the barrier quickly close in on Alain. He noticed this, but he smirked as his eyes glowed orange.

"All or nothing!"

He roared as his fist clashed with the barrier. He felt the electricity surge throughout his body, but he didn't care. Clenching his fist harder, he bellowed as he strained the muscles of his arms to the limit, in human standards.

Clenching his teeth, he mentally smirked as he managed to pierce through the barrier. Krista's eyes widened as she watched Alain's clenched fist open, facing her is his palm.

And in one moment…

BOOM!

"Kyaa!" Krista yelped as she felt the Kinetic Blast, her body sailing through the air as her mouth was open in a silent scream.

She was about to hit the ground, she closed her eyes as she waited for the impact.

BOOM!

But before she could hit the ground, she felt someone wrap their arms around her very gently. She heard the familiar uncomfortable sliding of shoes and cement. Slowly opening her eyes, she was greeted by red hair and blue-green eyes staring at her.

She slowly felt blood coloring her cheeks as she realized who was holding her in a bridal carry. He gave her a gentle smile as his hair flowed with the wind.

"Gotcha." Alain said as he gently let Krista down.

"T-T-Thanks…" Krista blushed as she already began to memorize how it felt to be carried by Alain.

"That's the match!"

Immediately, lights turned back on. Glynda already tapping with her Scroll as she got on stage. Looking at Alain, Glynda nodded as she turned to the rest of the class.

"As you can see, Mr. Kerrigan saved Ms. Lenz. This may not be necessary, but please do mind to respect your opponent, always. And remember, a Huntsman's duty is to save lives."

Alain smiled as he and Krista walked towards their teammates. Tir smiled as Krista sat next to her, checking over her while cleaning all the dust off her. Leaf was happily bouncing on her seat. Looking at Krista, he tapped her over her shoulder, catching her attention.

"You had a good plan back there, first time facing your Semblance…have you been hiding it?" Krista nodded while Tir gave a proud smile while she huffed her chest. "I told Krista that she should hide her Semblance until she finds an opponent worthy of witnessing it firsthand or in your case if you go serious on her." Alain hummed in thought as he closed his eyes.

"That's a good plan, having your Semblance unknown to others will force them to act cautiously, and once they find out about it, they will be caught pants down." He said as he imagined many scenarios where Krista either traps the opposing team or protecting herself or anyone.

Looking at his teammates, he smirks as he nodded proudly.

"Leaf." Said girl looked at Alain curiously as he grinned and pointed at her. "Sniper Specialist." She blinked cutely in confusion as a couple of imaginary question marks appeared on top of her head.

"Tir." Crossing her arms, she waited for Alain to finish. "Weapon Master." Tir grinned in approval as she nodded.

"Krista." She played with her fingers as she watched Alain scratch his chin in thought as his eyes began to comically strain, but with a snap of his fingers that stopped. "Guardian Angel." She blushed as her cheeks began to redden.

Tir noticed this and sighed as she mentally shakes her head. 'Either Alain knows how to make girls fall for him or he's so dense that others think that it's a Semblance or something.'

Looking at Krista who was trying to compose herself, Tir smirked as she shook her head in amusement. 'Well, either way, that's Alain.' She thought to herself as she watched her partner close his eyes in thought, then finally…

"Me, the Overmind." He pointed a thumb to himself with a somewhat joking grin.

In reaction, Krista giggled cutely, Tir shook her head with a wry grin, while Leaf was still looking at him in confusion. Checking her Scroll, she took note that they only have 5 minutes left before Pro-Doctor Oobleck's class.

A thought occurred to her once she thought about it…

Looking at her team, she has one question…

"Did anyone finish their essays?"

Immediately, everyone stopped. Some of the nearby students slowly turned their heads towards her in mortified shock.

Alain merely nodded with a half-assed thumbs up, Krista gave a curt nod, while Leaf's head drooped down, quite cutely she might add.

5 minutes later, Doctor Oobleck's class

Doctor Oobleck quickly collected all of the essays while making sure to keep an eye on each essay. Narrowing his eyes, he quickly took note of a certain student's paper.

To be exact, the number of pages that the essay paper has.

"Ms. Fritz!"

Leaf jumped slightly in shock as Doctor Oobleck quickly appeared in front of her.

Holding her paper.

"I believe I informed everyone a day ago to write an essay about the History of the Great War." Leaf meekly nodded her head, while Doctor Oobleck checked her paper once more.

"I also take note of the fact that you are one word short!"

Immediately, Leaf's jaw dropped. Alain raised a brow as he and Tir looked at their teammate. Krista was playing with her fingers in shame and guilt as she watched her partner, she did help Leaf with the essay after all. The rest of the class just felt bad for Leaf, knowing how unlucky she was missing one word from the essay.

Sighing, Oobleck fixed his glasses as he turned around and went back to his desk.

"I believe I told everyone to count their words before, right?"

The entire class voiced their agreement as Leaf sighed dejectedly.

"However!"

Leaf perked up as Oobleck flashed her a proud smile.

"You managed to write all the main events that took place during the Great War! That, and you have summarized it! Splendid work! I will overlook this matter if you promise me to always double-no! TRIPLE check your essays next time, understood?!" Leaf nodded happily as she fixed herself.

"Yes Pr-"

"Doctor!"

Leaf yelped as Oobleck suddenly appeared in front of her, surprising her.

"Y-Yes, Doctor." She smiled sheepishly as she scratched her cheek.

Oobleck nodded as he suddenly disappeared from her vision, and in front of a certain bully.

"Mr. Winchester! You managed to write your own essay, however, it seems that I have encountered a problem!"

Cardin gulped as he tried to keep a calm façade.

Pulling out Cardin's paper, Oobleck frowned as he read it once more. With each second, Oobleck's frown deepened as he looked at Cardin.

"You have written many events, but from what I am reading right now, it seems that there is not a single event that took place for Faunus. The only sentences that counter that is the death of many significant Faunus and many derogatory statements!"

Looking at the sweating bully, Oobleck fixed his glasses before nodding to himself. "I clearly said that your essay MUST contain many events, especially between Humans and Faunus. However, in spite of this, not only did you ignore my instructions, but you also had the gall to insult the History of the Great War! It seems that I must correct your attitude…"

Cardin clearly had enough and turned his head to silently click his tongue in annoyance. Oobleck sighed as he went to his desk and looked at Cardin sharply. Immediately, Cardin felt sweat pouring from his very palms.

In fact, a couple of Faunus who have sensitive noses have to cover their noses just to not smell his sweat.

"I shall have you stand in the hallway! Afterward, detention. I am sure that Port can understand why you will not be attending his class…Mr. Kerrigan!"

Immediately, Alain straightened his back as he raised a brow at him.

"Can I leave it to you to keep an eye on Mr. Winchester? I have already read your essay and not only have you surpassed the number of words needed, but you have also written what is SUPPOSED to be today's lesson! This shows that you are willing to learn beyond the limit! Do not worry, with your grades, I'm sure one day of babysitting will not affect it."

Alain merely nodded, but on the inside, he was actually keeping himself from laughing. That and he did feel guilty for some reason…but for what reason, none will know.

'I literally read your mind back before you gave us the essay.'

Nevermind.

2 hours later, With Alain

Alain entered the cafeteria with his circle of friends, aside from Blake, eager to start eating.

Looking around, Alain still can't believe how LUXURIOUS the cafeteria is.

Whole roasted chicken? Sushi? Eggs Benedict? There is even a section for desserts and a station where you can get as much gravy as you want.

And there is also the fact that the cooks are able to adapt to the student body's needs.

"PANCAAAAAAAAAKES!"

Or to be specific to Nora's needs.

Almost as if it was the end of the world, Nora dashed to where the pancakes are and already began to make stacks on stacks of pancakes, that she would probably name the pancake tower…again…

Ren sighed as he walked over to the cooks. Seeing this, the cooks took out two full gallons of pancake syrup. Taking both gallons, Ren bowed to the cooks, both in thanks and in apology, and went to the regular table they all use.

Alain chuckled as he saw this, Nora can be…no, scratch that, she is plenty a handful. He'd doubt, even with all his effort, to be able to keep Nora in control, especially with that much sugar going through her bloodstream.

'I can only imagine what would happen if Nora drank a pint…no…even a single sip of coffee would probably doom us all.' He thought in amusement as he began to walk to get some plates.

Being part Zerg, he probably doesn't need to eat much, but considering the fact that eating with his friends is a great way to pass time and build relationships, he'll ignore the lack of needing to eat.

That, and the food tastes good.

"I'll be back! I need some pancakes!" Leaf cheerfully and quickly ran past him in an attempt to salvage whatever pancake she can.

"Geez, does she not know that there are other healthier food? She will get fat with her current diet." Tir huffed as she crossed her arms while making her way towards some utensils.

"But Tir, you always go for the cakes." Krista countered as she giggled lightly from watching Tir's face turn red from embarrassment.

"I-It has fruit in it!" Tir tried to explain while trying not to lose face.

"She is right." Ruby noted as she watched the two bicker.

"But it does not change the fact that she, like Nora, eats more than one. I've even seen her eat a whole cake by herself!" Weiss explained as she watched Tir lower her head in dejection at that jab.

"Aw come on Tir, no need to get Tiry over it!"

...

"Get it? Because her name is Tir?"

Everyone groaned at the pun as Yang gave a toothy grin, all the while laughing about her terrible pun.

"PLEASE, stop doing that!"

"Why? Is it because I'm on a killing steak?" Yang's grin got wider as she pointed her thumb at a steak.

"AAAH! PLEASE STOP!" Ruby wailed as she held Yang's mouth with her tiny hands.

"Vyu vanna uffle?"

"I have a sudden urge to groan a lot more now." Weiss said to herself as she felt her brows twitch. Pyrrha sighed with and smiled as she began walking towards the non-greasy section.

Ruby grabbed a plate and dashed to where the cookies are. Seeing this, Yang made her way towards Ruby and tried to drag her back to stop her from getting all the cookies.

Alain chuckled as he grabbed a plate.

RING

Stopping in place, Alain grabbed his Scroll from his pocket as he checked to see who was calling him.

"Velvet?"

He pressed the answer icon.

"Hey, Alain!" Velvet greeted him with a cheerful smile, making him smile back. "Hey to you too. How's the mission? Need my help?" He joked with a wry grin.

"It's not that bad, the only problem we had was there were a lot of Grimm. But Coco took care of it, and I also had Yatsuhashi to watch out for me." And on cue, the fashionista came in.

"Heya Bun-Bun, catching up with your boyfriend?" Coco grinned as she playfully slapped Velvet's behind. Velvet immediately turned a shade of red as she hid her face with her hands.

This, in turn, caused the Scroll she was holding to drop if it wasn't for Fox catching it.

"Nice catch Fox!"

Immediately, the Scroll was snatched by Coco. Lowering her glasses, she gave Alain a flirty wink, causing him to blush.

"Good to see that your face still looks cute. Be sure to keep it that way until the team and I come back!" Alain blushed heavily, having referred to as cute.

'Only sis calls me cute…'

"Coco!" Velvet squeaked as her hands appeared, trying to take the Scroll away from her. "Alright, alright! You can go back to talking to your boyfriend." In response, Velvet sighed as a light pink dusted on her cheeks.

"He's not my boyfriend…" She mumbled as she pouted. Alain can only say one thing about that.

"Cute."

"Eh?" Alain chuckled as his blush started to die down. Pointing a finger at her, Alain smiled. "I meant you."

"Oh…umm…thanks." Alain smiled as he can see Velvet blushing, but this time she was giving him a small smile. "Anyways, when are you coming back? Leaf wants to-"

"Ketchup!"

Alain sighed as he heard his friends groan once again at Yang's attempt at being funny. Velvet just giggled at Alain as she watched Alain hold an annoyed face.

"Like she said, Leaf wants to catch up with Coco, and by catching up, I mean she wants to challenge her to a shoot-off…again…" Alain shook his head in amusement as he remembers the day when Coco was challenged by Leaf to see who shoots the most target first.

It was obvious who won, but Leaf is quite persistent.

"Right now, we just need to wait for the Bullhead, I reckon we'll be back tomorrow if the Bullhead arrives early." Giving her an appreciative smile, Alain nodded as he took a mental note to inform Leaf.

"Anyways, besides all that, how's your day?"

4 hours later, Library

Alain sighed as he entered the library. Looking around, he can see many students reading together, there are also the usual loners, but Alain didn't mind them. The librarian was sitting on her desk, making sure to keep an ear out for the noisy students.

'Now, where is it?' Alain thought to himself as he walked around, scanning the bookshelves. What he is searching for is something simple. Something that can help him understand Aura a lot more.

"There it is!"

He stopped as he grabbed the book that contained everything he needed. 'Aura, The Manifestation of One's soul and Theories.' He nodded to himself as he looked around, looking for a place to sit. Every table is occupied with strangers, all except for one.

"Blake?"

She was alone, her fingers are furiously typing on a keyboard searching to find answers. Her bags are very evident below her eyes, indicating that she hasn't been sleeping.

Seeing this, Alain frowned. 'It's not a good idea to exhaust the body when you have a goal.' He thought to himself as he began walking towards her. 'She's going to kill herself of overworking before she fights the White Fang.' He left the book on a random bookshelf, ignoring the reason why he was there in the first place.

'I have to stop her from doing this, but how? How can I stop Blake from hurting herself?' Alain thought to himself as he kept his eyes on Blake, who is somehow, looking quite irritated. Raising a brow, he saw a red dot show itself all over Blake.

Stopping in his tracks, he looked around the library, a smirk forming on his lips as he had guessed two culprits.

'This can either be Yang or Nora, I'm going for Yang.'

And as he thought, he can see the blond hair of said brawler. She was hiding behind some bookshelves, a laser pointer in hand and a wide smirk gracing her lips.

"Grr!" Blake couldn't take it anymore and began to chase after the laser. Alain was just following in amusement.

"Ah!"

"Hello~!"

Alain stopped as he looked at both Blake and Yang.

"We need to talk." Both girls jumped in surprise as they turned to Alain. Yang's cheeks went a little red as she remembered what happened between the two of them, fortunately, Alain wasn't paying attention back then.

Alain turned his attention towards Yang and nodded, causing her to understand what he meant. Grabbing Blake's hand, Yang looked at Blake seriously.

"What he said."

Blake's eyes widened as she was pulled by her partner. Meanwhile, Alain was just trailing them from behind.

Empty Classroom

Alain sat on one of the many seats as he watched Blake walk around in circles. Yang was seated at the teacher's desk cross-legged.

"Yang, Alain, I know why you wanted to talk to me. If both of you are going to tell me to stop, then you might as well save your breath." Alain shook his head as he crossed his arms, making sure to keep quiet until he feels the need to say anything.

"We don't want you to stop, we want you to slow down." Blake stopped as she glared at the floor. "We don't. Have the Luxury. To slow down." Blake argued stubbornly as she continued walking in circles impatiently.

Alain sighed as he scratched his head. "Blake, slowing down is not a luxury, it's a necessity." Blake turned towards him with narrowed eyes. "The necessity is stopping Torchwick, and you know it." Alain looked at Yang as he shrugged his shoulders.

Rolling her eyes, Yang tapped on the desk she was sitting on, getting Blake's attention.

"We're going to stop Torchwick. But first, listen to what I have to say."

Closing her eyes, Blake sighed as she nodded her head.

"Okay, fine."

"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island just off the coast to Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen, our dad taught at Signal, while our mom takes on missions around the Kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose…" Alain closed his eyes as he leaned back.

'This is one of those things…' He thought bitterly as he opened his eyes.

"And she was like Supermom. Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then, one day she left for a mission and never came back…" Immediately, Alain sighed softly as he relaxed his shoulders. "Was hoping that didn't happen." He muttered softly as he remembered the pain when he learned that Kerrigan 'died' in New Gettysburg.

"It was tough. Ruby was really torn up but…she was just really just too young to understand what was going on, and my dad…he just…kind of shut downed."

'Not surprising, he lost his wife and all.'

"And it didn't really take me that long to find out why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost, she was the second. The first was my mom. He wouldn't tell me anything about her. But I learned that the two of them were teamed up together with Summer and Qrow."

'So, they knew each other that long, wonder where Yang's mother is.'

"And that she left me with him just after I was born. No one had seen her since."

Alain looked down sadly. 'So, Yang and I got the same type of mother, huh?' He remembered that day when he asked his sister where his mother is. Their father managed to knock up a stranger when they were drunk one night. And nine months afterward, Alain was left behind in front of the door of the Kerrigans.

"Why did she leave you?"

Yang sighed as she got up from the desk. "Why? I didn't know why, but I was determined to know the reason why she left. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone that knew anything about her."

Alain bit his cheek. 'I didn't…I just left it as it is. Gave up on that without even trying…and yet…Yang…she really is stronger than me.' Alain chuckled bitterly as he clenched his fists, feeling his nails pierce into his skin.

Blake turned towards him worriedly as she watched him open his hands, revealing the marks of his nails and his blood.

Yang didn't know what was going on as her back was turned against them.

"Then…one day I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother."

"I waited for dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon and headed out."

Alain's eyes widened as he looked at Yang. Blake can only do the same.

"I must've walked for hours, I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted. But I still kept walking, I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When I finally got there, I could barely stand…but I didn't care about that. I made it…and then I saw them…those burning red eyes…"

'Grimm.'

"There we were! A toddler asleep inside a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help! Might as well be served on a silver platter. But as luck would have it, our uncle showed up just in time. My stubbornness could've gotten us killed that night."

Alain closed his eyes as he felt something sting inside him. Something that he needed to release.

"Yang…I'm sorry that that happened to you and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different! I'm not a child and this isn't just a search for answers I can't jus-"

"I told you, I'm not telling you to stop!" Alain eyed Yang, waiting for her to say some more. "I haven't. To this day, I'm still looking for my mother. I want to know what happened to her and why she left me. But I would never let that search control me."

Standing up, Alain sighed.

"Blake, we're going to help you get the answers. But we can't let you destroy yourself just because you want the answers now."

Blake gritted her teeth as she turned to Alain with a glare.

"You don't understand! The both of you don't! I'm the only one that can do this!"

"No, you don't!"

Blake flinched as she saw Alain jump over the tables and landing in front of her with a glare. "Tell me, if Torchwick was here, then what would you do?!" Blake glared back as she stood her ground. "I'd fight him!" Clicking his tongue, Alain held Blake by her shoulders and looked straight into her eyes.

"You'd lose! If Torchwick can hold his own with you and Sun tag-teaming him, then what makes you think that you can take him alone?! Especially in your current state! We all know that you're not a pushover when it comes to fighting, but you might as well be one if you keep going like this."

Eventually, Blake relented as she took a step back.

"Then what should I do?" She felt a pair of hands wrap behind her, she can see the blond hair of her partner.

"You slow down. Rest up…not just for yourself…but also for the people that care about you." Blake took a few seconds, but she sighed as she gave a small smile.

"Alright, you win."

"Finally, now we can talk a bit more."

Both Yang and Blake looked at Alain in confusion. He was rubbing the back of his head with a small blush as he sighed.

"Listen, Yang, when you told me a bit of your past, I felt the need to do the same."

Yang looked at him, puzzled.

"What do you mean?" Alain crossed his arms as he looked at Blake, then at Yang. "I learned a bit about Blake's past, and now I learned about yours. I only feel that its right that I do the same…" He looked at Yang with a faint smile. "With almost the same experience and moral of the story."

"Wait, you do-" Alain stopped Blake by putting a finger on her lips, making her blush. Looking at her with a pleading smile, he chuckled. "I have to, otherwise this feeling won't go."

Blake slowly nodded while Yang shrugged as she sat on top of the desk.

Alain smiled thankfully as he went to the chalkboard and grabbed some chalk.

"My sister was a Huntress, while I was her apprentice…or something like that." Yang chuckled softly as she watched Alain draw a shield.

"In one of her missions, she was supposed to help stop someone, Mengsk." Alain said it with so much venom that both Blake and Yang could feel it.

"And if there is one person worse than Grimm, then its Mengsk." Immediately, Yang got a question. "How worse is this guy than Grimm?" Alain stopped as he looked at Yang seriously. "He caused a panic in a mine with over a thousand workers. And as you know, Grimm go after places that are full of negative emotions. So, you can guess what happened." Alain said solemnly as he finished drawing the Dominion's symbol.

Immediately, both Blake and Yang paled as they can already imagine what happened.

"He is the worse person you can meet. Give him a chance, then he can convince you to do anything, manipulate you into doing something that'll make you give your morals the middle finger. That's Mengsk."

Both girls nodded, getting what he meant.

Sighing, Alain began to draw something else. "We were with other people. But we were deep inside Mengsk's base. Both my sister and I were pinned down. There are four reasons why I was with her. One, because she is my sister. Two, because Mengsk has already hurt enough people. Three, because he hurt my sister…and four, because there are still people fighting for him." Alain began to grit his teeth in anger.

"And if there is one thing I hate, then its people who are fighting for the wrong guy, and they don't even know it. Even when we leaked Mengsk's controversial schemes, there was still a lot, and I hate it. Mengsk was at the top of my shit list." He closed his eyes as he remembers that day clearly.

Flashback, Korhal, Inside Mengsk's Palace

"People were still fighting for him, without ever realizing that they were fighting on the wrong side."

Alain landed behind enemy lines with little problem. Glaring at the Marines and the Vikings, he unleashed a roar and a blast of Psionic Energy, destroying the bodies of the Marines and the pilots of the Vikings in one move.

"Keep calm, Alain." Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, held his shoulder comfortably. Looking at the corpses of the Marines, Alain held back a growl. "Calm?! These men are still fighting for Mengsk! And there's still more inside!"

"I know, but no one will be fighting for him after this day."

"I was with my sister, but I was still angry at Mengsk. I was so close, and all it took was a light push."

"F-For…the Empe…ror…" A dying Marine weakly pointed his rifle to Kerrigan. Despite the clicks of his gun indicating that he ran out of ammo, he was still pulling the trigger.

"I was so blinded by my anger, that I took it upon myself to finish off Mengsk once and for all."

Alain's eyes widened in anger as his Psionic Energy was showing itself outside his body. His eyes glowed orange as he looked at the incoming wave of Dominion forces.

"That's it! I'm ending this!" Alain roared as he dashed towards the Dominion forces and jumped, passing by and leaving, he has an appointment with the Emperor.

"Alain! Damn it! Out of my way!"

"I kept going without any regards to myself or my sister. All I know is that my sister can handle herself better than I do."

A team of Marines and Marauders got in his way, but he didn't care.

Gritting his teeth in anger, he gathered Psionic Energy in his legs as he appeared to be a blur purely made of Psionic Energy.

"Fire!"

"I was low on Aura but I kept going."

Jumping, Alain raised his arms as he gathered a large amount of Psionic Energy. Orange Psionic Energy gathered at the palm of his hands as he focused on the center of the enemy.

"Get out of the way!" One of the Marauders ordered a wise choice.

But he said it too late. Because as soon as he said that, Alain was already about to launch his attack. "Out of my way!" He released a heavily concentrated amount of Psionic Energy with a roar. The unfortunate Marines and Marauders were disintegrated within seconds upon impact.

"I kept on using my Semblance."

"Now! Deploy Auto-Turrets!"

Alain's eyes widened as he crossed his arms.

In front of him are 5 Auto-Turrets. Each aiming at him, and after that, a hail of bullets made their way towards Alain.

"Until I was eventually all out of it…I don't even know how I survived to be honest. But glad I did."

Gritting his teeth as he felt the bullets pierce his flesh, Alain glared at the machines and charged. Unleashing his Carapace Blades, he pierced the center Turret, causing it to explode.

"Argh!"

He felt the bullets pierce his sides. The 4 Turrets kept on shooting at Alain with no signs of stopping. Eyes glowing orange, Alain roared to the heavens as he released a Psionic Shockwave, destroying the remaining Turrets in one move.

Getting on his knee, Alain panted as closed his eyes, focusing on getting rid of the bullets inside his body. Groaning as he felt each bullet individually fall on the ground.

Each bullet made a clinking noise, causing him to cringe mentally as he opened one eye. His one open eye glared at a security camera with malice as he got up.

"I knew he was watching me. He knew I was coming for him."

"I'm coming for you…"

That was all it could get before being destroyed by a blast of Psionic Energy.

3 minutes later

A man stood in front of the many screens with his hands behind his back. He smirked as he heard the ongoing hail of bullets and gunshots, with the occasional scream.

"This will be the last day the Zerg will threaten me and humanity again."

BAM!

Turning at the reinforced steel door, he saw two sharp blades made of brown carapace. The blades glowed orange slightly as a roar came from behind the door. Knowing who it was, Mengsk turned toward a nearby desk, there, lies a small box. Moving towards it, Mengsk calmly caressed the desk then the box.

CREAK~!

The steel doors burst open, revealing an angry, and bloody Alain. He stepped into the room as he kept his eyes on Mengsk, who was now holding on to a cigar and a fancy lighter.

Looking around for traps, Alain chuckled weakly.

"I finally faced him one on one. And you know the funny part? He didn't run away."

"Funny, I thought that you ran away."

Mengsk shook his head with a small smirk. "Run away? Boy, you think I'd run away from a child like you? Don't make me laugh." He sneered as he held his lighter. Alain narrowed his eyes in suspicion as he raised his blades.

"Because he didn't need to. He had another card to play…and I let him play it."

"Besides, you should know, I always have a hidden card under my sleeves."

In an instant, he used his thumb to open the lighter.

Between him and Alain, something glowing blue slowly rose.

And Alain knew what it is.

"He used some sort of weapon that only recognizes Faunus as enemies. And it was more painful than I imagined."

It's the very thing that allowed his sister to be a human again. Something that is so powerful that it can wipe out millions of Zerg in an instant. An artifact that is older than the Protoss.

The Xel'naga artifact.

Alain's eyes widened as he felt his very instincts scream at him to run away. To flee.

But it was too late.

In an instant, Alain felt unimaginable pain. It was more painful than he imagined. It was as if his very body, his very flesh was being rendered from the inside out.

"AAAAGH!" He released a bloodcurdling scream as he fell to the floor. Holding his head as he writhed in pain, Alain screamed as he felt the energies coming from the Xel'naga artifact attack both his mind and body.

And the instant it started, it ended.

"He toyed with me there, he mocked me…while I regretted myself for letting that happened."

He heard Mengsk's mocking laughter as he panted, forcing his arms to lift himself up. Mengsk circled him as he held on to the lighter, which was actually a controller for the artifact.

"Did you really think I'd let an animal like you go near me without a plan?" Mengsk questioned Alain as he looked down at him. Alain gritted his teeth as he glared at Mengsk.

"There I was, no Aura to protect me. All I can do is do nothing but scream in pain every time he presses the button."

"Did you?"

CLICK!

"GAAAAH!" Alain twisted in pain as he, once again, felt the pain of the energies. It once again attacked his very being. His very essence. His body and mind.

It. Attacked. Everything.

"Boy, you are really stupid, aren't you? Something always protects the Emperor. And why not let it be the very artifact that destroyed millions of Zerg?" He laughed as he released the button, giving Alain a chance to breathe.

He sneered once more as he kicked Alain in the head.

Coughing, Alain tasted the blood in his mouth. He shakingly attempted to stand on his legs, Mengsk shook his head as he clicked the button again.

"AAAAAGH! FUUUUUUUUUU-!"

"You are always the stubborn one. Both you and your sister are my greatest failures and after this very day, you, the Swarm, and your sister will finally die. And I will start with you." He prepared to press the button, causing Alain to close his eyes and grit his teeth to ready himself for the pain that is about to come.

"I could've died back then…but thankfully…"

But nothing came.

Instead…

"Gah! What the?!"

"My sis caught up to me."

A clawed hand grabbed the offending hand before it has the chance. And with it, Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, appeared in front of both Mengsk and Alain. Her purple glowing eyes glared at Mengsk as she grabbed him by the throat.

"She saved me…and I saw something that I never wanted to see again…"

"Stay away from my brother!" She roared as she threw him to through the floor.

"…I saw her cry…."

Alain weakly opened his eyes as he felt someone hold on to him caringly. "Alain…" Kerrigan caressed Alain's bloody cheek as she began to shed a few tears. "You stupid idiot…going off like that. What am I going to do with you?" She said to herself softly as she closed her eyes.

Alain heard what she said as he felt tears building up in his eyes. Closing it, Alain moved closer to her, as if to console her.

'I'm sorry…'

"I promised myself to before, never let her cry. And I didn't keep it. My sister went through so much…"

While that was happening, Mengsk glared at the two as he stood up with the switch on hand. Gritting his teeth, he raised the switch and prepared to kill the siblings.

BANG!

But something else happened.

"Grrraaagh!" Mengsk held his bloody hand as he took a couple of steps back. Behind Kerrigan, a tall black figure appeared. The helmet's visor was lifted with a hiss which revealed a familiar face.

James Raynor.

He had his revolver pointed at Mengsk for a reason.

"Can't let you do that."

Slowly, Kerrigan got up, supporting Alain with a gentle hug.

Rubbing Alain's back slowly with a smile, which quickly turned into a scowl as she glared at Mengsk.

Letting go of her brother, Kerrigan quickly dashed past him. Fortunately for him, Raynor was there to help him out.

"GAAAAGH!"

Kerrigan pierced Mengsk's shoulders with her blades, all the while pushing him against the many screens of the destroyed cameras.

"For all the lives you ruined, for hurting my brother. You can never suffer enough for what you've done."

Glaring at Kerrigan, Mengsk snarled.

"I made you into a monster, Kerrigan!"

Kerrigan's eyes glowed purple as she proceeded to grab Mengsk's face.

"You made us all into monsters."

Flashback end

Blake and Yang's eyes stared at Alain as he gave them a gentle smile.

"You see what I'm telling you now Blake? Keep going like that, and you'll end up hurting yourself. Just like me. You have to control yourself. Don't let anything else control you, okay?"

Blake nodded as she quickly walked towards Alain and grabbed by the neck and hug him.

Alain's eyes widened as he felt a blush quickly forming around his cheeks.

He didn't know how, but his head managed to meet Blake's breasts.

Yang joined as well.

After that, he didn't let it bother him and he only smiled as he stood up and hugged both girls close to his chest.

AND CUT! WOOH!

12k words! Longest chapter yet! Again, I apologize for the excruciatingly long wait. I mean, its been what? MONTHS since I've updated. And that, to be honest, gives me more than enough of a reason to give you guys this long chapter.

I mean I told myself that I'll only do 10k words maximum, but guess the need to give you guys something told me otherwise.

Also, I am now 18! WOOHOO! Just turned 18 5 days ago.

The next chapter will be the dance and Cinder's first interaction with Alain! And Alain will also meet up with Ironwood…look forward to that!

Now I don't usually do this, but I'll give you guys a small preview.

"Care for a dance?"

"Oh! Uh, hi…"

"You know you are really cute."

"Oh! And uhhh…y-y-you're really beautiful."

"Hmm, you really know how to please a girl."

"I think you deserve an award~!"

"Wow, even with all this military power, you will still lose."

"What?! Who do you think you are?!"

"A hacker can take over your machines, and you're just giving your enemies enough information to win a war…I mean, who flaunts their power? Especially the supposed aces?"

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying that if I wanted to, I can have my Mutalisks tear apart your birds one by one. And I won't lose a single thing."

That is all!

Ciao! Peace!
