Chapter 2 - The Reunion of Friends

A long while later

It was a long while that Star was chasing Faye, Pegapup and Kabutobot. Everytime she tried to get those little pests, they just slipped away from her again. Star thought that she chased the trio through the whole castle itself, but in fact she was actually chasing Faye and her friends around a map which lead to her parents and the guests.

Star did everything in her own wand to prevent those pests from getting to her parents, but it was very unfortunate that the Trio were finding their way around the castle. Eventually, they actually managed to find the lounge with everyone in it. Star was very lucky that no one noticed that Faye and her friends were in the doorway to the lounge, otherwise she would have been in big trouble.

They were still in the lounge and chatting away like before. "...That's very interesting Heinous, but one thing that we'd like to ask." River said as he looked at the old woman with a confused look. In fact, the guests were confused on how Heinous even managed to get her school back. "Oh...I have my ways." She smirked, little did anyone know that she winked at Gemini.

"Faye, could you and your gang come here please?" Star pleaded to the trio. They shook their heads and Faye got out a little potion which read Anti Gravity Syrum: Capable of lifting even the heaviest of objects/people with one single drop. It was then that the young princess knew what the little troublemakers were up to and knew that she had to keep them restrained from doing this.

She was about to stop them until Pegapup gestured Star to stop what she was about to do. Faye then began to speak. "You must say this: You're not going to go back to Earth. Give us your word and we'll stop this mischief." She said with a serious voice. Kabutobot was then encouraging Star to say yes, but it didn't work for the little robot. "I can't, I miss everyone there and I think I'll die if I don't see any of them again." She said in a serious tone of voice.

That was a huge mistake for Star, Faye then began to lift the bottle with her very horn and flew it over to Miss Heinous' Tea. "Then we've got to do this, to keep you safe." The little fairy told Star. The young princess tried to tell Faye that she was changing her mind, but due to Pegapups discovered 'Telepathy', Faye continued to carry out her plans.

Faye then proceeded to pour the potion into the tea and right before Star rushed into the room to stop the fairy from carrying out whatever she was trying to do. "Oh there you are Star." Moon said as she spotted her daughter. Everyone then took notice of her and that had forced the young princess to go and sit with her parents. Star then attempted to secretly use her magic in order to get rid of the bottle but it was no use, the last of the syrum had been poured into Heinous' tea and the worst came when she drank some of it.

"Where were you anyways? I thought you were staying in your room?" River asked as he was a bit confused. "It was only temporary." Star said as she spoke through her clenched teeth crossly. "Well, never the less, you'll be safe and sound in no time when you go to St Olga's school." The queen of Mewni herself spoke and wanting the guests to hear what she wanted for Star.

"Moon...I don't think that sending Star to St Olga's is a great plan. I seriously don't trust that woman." River whispered to his wife, Moon got a little angry at hearing those words. Everyone was then questioning Moon's decisions as a Queen of Mewni. This was all because of the fact that she argued strongly that her decisioins were for her daughter's own good and that everything was going to be fine.

"Look, all we're saying is that maybe you're not thinking straight Moon." Omni said as he and the other high commission members attempted to change Moon's mind. "I'm most certainly am thinking straight. Besides if it means that she'll be safe from...you know who, then Star has to go to St Olga's." Everyone murmured in complete anger and confusion as soon as they heard their queen speak like that.

"You need to have faith in her to do these things. That's what Glossaryck once told you. Please, if Star has to defend herself, you need to trust her...just like those months ago before our battle. Please let her go back...for Glossaryck?" Hekapoo said with pleading puppy eyes. At that point Moon had considered sending her back to Earth. It had even given Star faith that she could be going back to Earth.

Henious on the other hand didn't take it that well. "Oh don't bother listening to her. She's just making that up. Besides, Sta..." Suddenly, Heinous noticed a little drop of her tea started floating in the air. Then without any warning, the old woman started floating slightly. "Wha?...what's happening to me?" She said as everyone else took notice to this and murmured in shock. "Oh hello. This just got interesting." Hekapoo said, smiling a little as she observed this.

In fact, Heinous noticed a bottle beside the seat that she was sitting on and looked towards the young princess. "What in the name of Mewni was in that tea?!" She exclaimed in shock. Meanwhile in the door way, Faye and her little companions looked, and snickered, at the old woman who was still floating. "We have lift off you guys!'' She whispered excitingly to them.

Everyone was now gasping in panic as they tried to get the old woman to hold onto heavy items in order to hold her down to the floor. Unfortunately nothing was working as they all were pulled up towards the celling with her. "Star, what did you do?" Moon asked her daughter with a hint of panic. "I didn't even do anything, I was right here the whole time." The young princess said before her mother got up and tried to help get Heinous down to the floor again. Normally she would have used her mewberty form but due to the lounge being too small, she actually couldn't use it.

Gemini then grabbed onto Heinous in order to bring her back down towards the floor. It didnt work however and she slowly kept rising towards the ceiling. He of course, was a bit worried that he might float to the very top himself, he looked at Heinous with a worried expression and eventually she found out what he was thinking about. "Don't you dare!" The old woman growled. Suddenly the short one-eyed man let go of her hands and fell onto the carpet. "Sorry about that." He said as he was helped up to his feet and watched helplessly at his mistress.

"I'LL TURN YOU INTO A MINDLESS RULER STAR BUTTERFLY! EVEN IF IT TAKES ME A HUNDRED YEARS TO GET DOWN!" The old woman screamed as she kept on floating up towards the ceiling like a balloon screaming all the way, some of the guests along with the Magic high commissioners laughed at her. "Well how about that you guys? Dinner and a show." River said to his oldest friends, Moon on the other hand was absolutely embarrased at what Star had done, but she didn't even know that it wasn't her. When looking back at Faye and her gang, the little kitten had smiled at her and said "Ssh." Before she clapped her hands together and the trio vanished without a trace.

The Next Day

After last night's events, Miss Heinous had ordered her guards to make sure that Star didn't leave Mewni until she was taken to St Olgas the day after. In order to prevent her from going anywhere, the guards had put bars all along her windows so that she couldn't jump out the window, created a device to block the wand's magic in her room along with putting tight security locks on the stairway leading to and on her room door. To make matters even worse, Star wasn't even allowed to use her parents' dimensional scissors in order to escape as there was a device in one of the towers that prevented her from using them.

"She'll never be going back to that misseable planet. She'll never be the same with those idiotic friends of her's again. Hopefully, we'll succeed in taking our revenge.'' Miss Heinous said as her guards put the last bit of security onto Star's bedroom window. "Just like when we succeeded in taking back St Olga's with the help of Rasticore when he fully regenerated?" Gemini said quietly, he then recieved a slap which told him to shut up. "Besides...She has it coming." Baby said, suddenly appearing beside Gemini.

Meanwhile

Moon was giving her speech about who would be joining her on her trip to London. "...so with that in mind, I can garuntee your own safety once we have our own protection in the city itself. If anyone would like to accompany us for ehen we go, sign your name on the scroll." She spoke in a calm voice. Oddly to her surprise, nobody was actually attempting to sign up for the journey to London...for about 3 seconds as Omnitraxus came up with a sneaky idea. "Alright, those who will be staying will most likely face off against Ludo, Toffee and their minions." He said, suddenly most of the Mewmans started to sign the scroll.

"Works everytime." Omni spoke. While everyone was signing up for the trip to London on Earth, the high commission were then chatting to Moon about how they were going to get to London. "We can't use the dimensional Scissors to transport everyone. So how are we going to manage this?" Omnitraxus asked, The Queen of Mewni then revealed that she was going to transport them by their ship: The Trinity Wing. (1) "This is how we're traveling towards London. All we have to do is go through the gates of the beyond and then it'll be several hours until we reach the big city." She explained.

"Alright Moon, we'll be preparing for the journey if you need me or Omni." Rhombolous said before he and the short time and space being walked over to the docks. "By the way Moon, you did mention that Toffee drained the life from the three members of the high commission right? So how did you bring them back?" River asked out of simple curiosity. "Lekmet tought me a few things about before we lost him. That and a bit of resurection magic from a part of the magic book." Moon said with a simple smile.

"Oh of course. Also...your father hasn't replied to your invitation to the festival." River then said, causing Moon to sigh sadly. "As I thought..." She responded. Hekapoo then noticed Star listening into their conversation and immediately alerted Moon. Star then turned her head away from her mother crossly before walking away. When Moon looked at her daughter, River encouraged her to change her mind about what she had in store for Star. "Alright, I guess it's the least I can do for her. But you two owe me for his." She said as she then walked over to her daughter.

Over at the side of the balcony, Star looked down heavily. She was actually thinking about her happy thoughts but was having trouble holding onto them as she was not where she wanted to be. "I can't do this any longer, I need to get out of here and back to Earth." The young princess thought to herself. Moon on the other hand, had decided to stand over where her daughter was on the balcony in attempts to reassure her about what she told everyone last night.

"Star..." The Queen herself said as she gently stroked her daughter's hair. "I know you miss your friends and all...but I'm doing all of this for your own good." Star just kept looking over the balcony and Moon then decided to join her. "But why? Why deny my friends?" Star pouted while not looking her own mother in the face.

"I know, you keep wanting to see your friends. But once I heard the rumors that Ludo was building u an army and recruiting the shapeshifting Mimickers (2), I was worried that they could have taken you by surprise. It's one of the reasons why I'm sending you to St Olga's and why I keep denying your friends visiting you." Looking at her Mother in disgust, Star then argued strongly that she didn't know anything about what Star wanted or what was for her own good.

"The thing is...I lost someone dearest to me, I am not going to take that risk with you. I can't take the risk." She said, remembering someone that had fallen to Toffee's rage in the past. "Come on, I'm fourteen and nearly fifteen. I can handle myself." Star said before looking back over the balcony.

Moon then sighed in sadness in thinking that her daughter would never look her way ever again. However, after thinking about what some of the guests had told her last night, she suddenly realised something, something very important, something that everyone in the kingdom was trying to tell her until she dismissed them. She was being absolutely paranoid. She realised over the months that the people who came over the walls weren't the Mimickers, they were actually her friends. Sighing in regret, the queen of Mewni herself knew what she had to do, what she promised River and the high commission.

"If you really want to go back to Earth so badly, I won't stand in your way." Moon said, this told Star that she was letting her go back to Earth. "Really?" The young princess asked in disbelief. The queen herself mearly nodded before she found herself being hugged by Star whom she hugged back. "But you'll first have to get past Heinous and her guards." Moon said, having seen St Olga's guards set up stuff in her daughter's room.

Smiling for the first time in a long while, Star then thanked her mother before she left her for the garden within the castle. As River and Hekapoo joined her, Moon then turned their way before speaking to them. "Hekapoo...If she does go back to Earth, promise me you'll watch over her." The Queen herself requested the firey girl. As soon as she heard that, Hekapoo then nodded her head in agreement. "With my fire and might, I will protect Star no matter what." She said with a smile upon her face.

River then asked worryingly about how Star was going to get back to Earth with all the defences in the castle. Hekapoo then looked towards saw a familiar figure in a red hoodie in the distance, one that she knew that Star would be gald to see. "Oh don't worry about that Moon, I've got it all covered." She replied to him before winking to the figure.

That Night

Star was in her room, trying to escape after everyone went to sleep. However, she couldn't use her magic properly with the magic blocking system in her room, she couldn't unlock the door to her room and she couldn't risk jumping out the window for a nasty fall.

After countless attempts of escaping, she found that she had no chances of escaping without the help of the Dimensional Scissors nor the magic within her wand. She sobbed quietly on her bed and thought about trying to escape one more time before Heinous took her to St Olga's.

However, it was no use. Eventually, she dropped on the bed and cried. "I wish I went to that dance, I never wanted this to happen. I wasn't trying to be selfish, I just wanted to have fun on Earth and hang out with the best friends that I ever had in my life." She said to herself, she did cry in the past, but this time Star was at her breaking point.

"I-Is there no way to get outta here?!" The young princess wished as she lay down on her bed and cried herself to sleep. Eventually, she fell asleep even though she was still sad about the whole experience, she still slept silently...that is until she heard something from outside her bedroom window.

It sounded like the engine of an Earth vehicle. The young princess got up and walked over to her window to find the source of the noise. She also took her wand just in case anyone tried to take her by surprise. Yes she couldn't use magic, but she had to at least try.

She was looking all around in the sky, but couldn't find anything. However, Star then spotted something in the distance, it was a pair of glowing lights which seemed to be heading right towards her.

The lights seemed to be getting strangely close to her window, getting bigger, and bigger, until finally, Star was finally able to see the source of the lights. They had originated from a flying vehicle, more specifically, a flying periwinkle-purple 1970s. It also had a dark purple roof with a spoiler on top too.

The flying van then flew very close up to Star's window, nearly blinding Star. However, the lights soon dimmed, revealing people, who Star knew all too well, in the van. One of the figures was in the passenger seat, wearing a familiar red hoodie. He was none other than Marco Diaz himself, the boy whom the young princess had a crush on.

"Hi Star." Marco said after he saw Star looking at him through her window. "M-Marco…? I-Is that you?" Star asked in disbelief, thinking like she was still dreaming. "Yeah, of course it's me. Who'd you think I was, Ludo?" Marco responded with a little bit of a joke.

"Yo, Earth Turd, now's not the time to joke around!" Another voice from the van spoke, suddenly poking her head out towards Marco and revealing herself as Ponyhead. "She's right, Marco. We have to go before we're spotted." The driver of the van, revealed to be another one of Star's friend's, Jackie Lynn Thomas. "Guys! Can we please focus on helping Star?" Tom said, having been revealed as the fourth figure in the van.

"Pony…Jackie, Tom, what the heck are you guys doing here?" Star asked as she smiled a little bit. "We're here to rescue you of course, B-Fly." Pony spoke with enthusiasm. Star was thrilled that her friends were coming to help her out, however she turned to Marco before speaking with a few tears in her eyes that suddenly formed out of nowhere.

"Marco, look, I am so sorry I ran off without an explanation during the summer party. I'll never do that again, I promise. It's just that my mom-" Star said apologetically, feeling guilty about leaving her friends behind without warning. "Hey, it's ok Star. I wasn't there for you when I should have been…so I'm partially to blame." Marco said, admitting that he was also at fault.

"Well…neither of us knew what would happen, so it doesn't matter now." Star said with reassurance, smiling along with Marco. "Uh, are we planning on rescuing Star or did we come to chat?" Tom asked in annoyance. "Ok, ok ok. Just give it a few more minutes." Marco complained before turning back to Star.

"Also, I've heard rumors about Toffee…being back. Are they true?" Marco then asked, worried that the answer was the one he wasn't expecting. "Yeah…they're true. Toffee's back." Star said with worry. Mortified by the memories of that Monster, Marco knew very well that he couldn't just leave Star to suffer from

"Alright, then we have to get Star out of here, and fast." Tom said firmly as he reached into the back of the van for something. "Actually, not only from Toffee, but once I heard about Miss Heinous takin' over St O's again and sending you there, I knew it was bad, and we had to act fast." Pony explained with worry for her bestie.

"Anyway…the van will help us get away quickly. I was able to get it flying thanks to your old wand charger and thanks to Jackie, I was able to borrow it." Marco said, gesturing the flying vehicle, that belong to Jackie's family, to Star. "Yeah, I'm always here for you Star." Jackie said with a nod of agreement, hiding a bit of a tear from her eye. "So after we pack everything up in your room, boom, we're outta here." Pony said with excitement.

"Nice plan, but…how am I gonna pack with the magic blocker in place?" Star said before asking a good question. "Already taken care of." A familiar voice spoke behind, getting Star to turn around and see none other than her troublemaking friend, Janna Ordonia, having disabled Miss Heinous' magic blocker. "Janna! I can't believe it!" Star yelped in delight, hugging her instantaneously.

"Believe it girl, 'cause those guards didn't know what hit 'em." Janna said with pride after throwing the disabled Magic Blocker onto Star's bed. "In fact, we wouldn't have gotten past the guards if it wasn't for me." Kelly said, appearing behind Janna with her sword and her boyfriend Tad, who was dressed up like a ninja. "Kelly, Tad? You're both here too?" Star asked in amazement. "Yep, you can't keep a good Woolett out of a mission like this." Kelly replied in agreement. "Plus, this is my first time out in the field." Tad added despite being a little awkward.

"So…you're all really going to rescue me?!" Star asked, knowing the answer but desperate to ask once more. "Of course. I couldn't call myself your friend if I didn't come back for you. Now come on, let's get you packed." Marco said before deciding to make a move in escaping with Star.

After gathering up her belongings and getting dressed, Star shut her chest and told Marco that she gathered everything up. The Karate Kid then proceeded to hook on a chain to the barred windows which were most likely going to take out the bars. "Right, you guys better stand clear." He said to Star and the others, who went back against the bedroom wall. Jackie meanwhile, shifted the gears on her Van and waited for Marco to give the word.

"Alright, let's go." And as soon as he said that, Jackie flew the van away from the window until the bars on it broke off and fell onto the lower parts of the castle below. This, in turn, caused the bars to make a lot of noise on the tower below.

In the room that Heinous and Gemini were staying

They two of them heard a loud baning noise which alerted them immediately. "What the devil?" Gemini said as he fell out of bed. Miss Heinous then looked up to the ceiling where she heard voices before glaring in anger. "What is that girl doing up there?" She thought as she figured that Star was throwing a tantrum. Losing absolutely no time whatsoever, Heinous and Gemini rushed out of their room to alert Queen Moon and King River, even Baby came with them too as she guided them to the chambers.

Once there, they immediately began knocking on the door with a lot of fists. "My queen, something's happening with your daughter! She's doing something suspicious in her bed chambers, we must make haste immediately." She spoke in an desperate yet angry tone.

Having woken up after hearing Heinous' voice, Moon and River soon woke up. Moon suddenly remembered that she was allowing Star to escape and that Hekapoo had known who would help her. She realised that Star could be caught trying to escape if Heinous got ahold of her. "Er...coming, just hang on a second." She lied in attempts to slow the old woman down. She then secretly told River what was happening before he gasped in realization that Star would be in big trouble. "We've got to prevent Heinous from getting Star. Come on, hurry." He yelped, suddenly rushing out of bed.

Back up at Star's room

Jackie backed up the van to the window and opened up the rear doors. Janna and Kelly then helped Star pack the car for leaving Mewni for good. "Starlina, I'm coming to get you!" Miss Henious yelled, Star could hear her voice even from a good distance away. Marco also heard the voice and knew this was a bad sign, the sign of the voice also got Janna and Kelly to get the the stuff into the van as quickly as they could before Heinous arrived. The two girls began packing up with the larger bags first and then adding the medium bags in as well.

Below the stairway to Star's chambers

Heinous had managed to wake up half the castle, the high commission, Hekapoo, Omnitraxus and Rhombolous came out of their rooms in confusion, except Hekapoo pretended to be confused. "Er, my queen? What's going on here?!" Omnitraxus asked, no body answered her as Heinous started to unlock the gate to Star's tower.

After packing all of her belongings in the back of the van, Star then shut the door before she signaled Tom. "Right, go, go go go!" He said to Jackie, who then quickly turned the steering wheel as fast as she could. All the while, Miss Heinous hurried up the stairs in attempts to reach Star's room. About a few moments later, the van had pulled up to her window and Marco opened the side door to the van.

Kelly and Tad hopped aboard first with some of Star's weaponary. Janna was next with Star's bag and Star finally brought the last of her stuff for Tom and Marco to haul aboard the van. "Come on Star, hurry. They'll be here any moment." Marco said as he grabbed the last of Star's stuff and placed in onto the van's floor.

Meanwhile

Miss Heinous had ran up the last steps to Star's room, which felt like an eternity to her. The old woman, along with her minions, the guards of St Olga's, proceeded to quickly unlock all the padlocks on Star's chamber door. In fact it was so quick, that upon unlocking the final lock, Star heard a click from her door and instantly looked at it.

The door then flung opened with a loud bang and there was Miss Heinous, gasping in anger and preparing to charge. "MY QUEEN SHE'S ESCAPING!" The old woman said as she and her guards immediately ran after Star, who immediately jumped into the van. Suddenly, Miss Heinous grabbed Star by the leg and tried to pull her back into the room with the help of her guards. "Grab her, Miss Heinous!" Gemini said firmly as he watched with excitement.

Star screamed when she felt herself being pulled back towards her room by Miss Heinous, in fact she was scared that her life was over. Thankfully, Marco grabbed her by the waist just in time and even Janna, Kelly and Tom helped her as well. Together, all four kids worked together to pull Star into the van. "Don't worry Star, I've got you!" Marco said as he held onto his best friend and tried pulling her back into the van.

"Come here you imperfect brat!" Miss Heinous growled psychotically as she continued to drag Star back into her bedroom. "Let go of me you old hag!'' Star yelled as she tried her hardest to resist the pulls of Miss Heinous and her guards. "Grr, No you stupid girl! You and those band of individual freaks of yours aren't going anywhere!" As she spoke, Miss Heinous attempted to keep Star's mother and the high commission out of her struggles. It was also getting really hard for Jackie to keep the van from crashing into the window, mainly because the guards were stronger.

"This isn't working! We're doomed!" Pony said, freaking out about going back to St Olga's. "GET OFF!" Star screamed, kicking Miss Heinous in the chest. "Drive!" Marco yelled to Jackie, who shifted the van into gear and began driving from the window. "Right, hold on you guys!" She said as she started to pull away from the window. Marco and the others were able to pull Star into the van. Unfortunately, for Miss Heinous, it caused herself and two of her guards to fall out of the window because they leaned out too much. "No no no no, come back, come BAAAAAAHHH!" She screamed as she fell downards really fast due to the enchanted iron boots(3) that she was wearing.

Thankfully, Miss Heinous was not hurt as she had a soft landing...unfortunately she landed a huge pile of Mud. A lot of the townsfolk were waking up to the sound of the van's engine. Gemini freaked out and rushed to the window, along with Queen Moon, King River and the High Commissioners, where they all looked down at Heinous with horror until they saw her land in the mud.

After helping Star to her feet in the Van, Marco and the gang then looked back towards Heinous and the opened window while seeing what happened. "Miss Heinous, they're getting away!" Gemini yelled from the tower despite being oblivious. Getting to her feet...or at least tried to, Heinous and her guards slipped around in the wet mud before attempting to chase the flying van.

"Come back here Princess Marco! That princess is mine!" Miss Heinous screeched as she slowly ran after the van. "So long you creeps! I'll send you a postcard from Echo Creek!" Marco yelled back to Miss Heinous, Gemini and the guards, even allowing Ponyhead to stick her blow a raspberry at the old woman. And with that, after Star chuckled in absolute relief, Marco shut the side door to the Van and Jackie flew it far away from the kingdom with everyone watching. "Waahooo! Freedom!" Star yelled happily as she stuck her head out the passenger window.

Miss Heinous then ran out of breath and stopped whilst the guards then proceeded to clean off the mud that stained their clothes. The three of them then looked towards the flying GMC van, flying off into the distance of the night. "Rgh! Outsmarted again by Princess Marco. And I never knew he was coming!" Miss Heinous groaned in defeat and anger. "Er...how'd he make that van fly?" "I dunno, maybe enchanting was involved?" The guards wondered right before Heinous yelled in anger and smashed their heads together.

"Wow...talk about flying in style, eh..." Rhombolous said, amazed at how Marco and his friends were able to make the van fly. "Yeah, none of us can deny it...That boy know's how to plan a rescue mission in style." Hekapoo said with a proud smile, making Gemini look at Hekapoo in shock. As the fiery girl left Star's room along with the high commission and Gemini to help Miss Heinous, River and moon then looked towards the van that was nearly out of sight. "See you soon, Star." Moon said with a warm smile.

Back in the van

Star was in the back with Marco and the others while Jackie continued driving. "By the way Star, I meant to say this when I saw you but, it's good to see you after all this time." Marco said before Star hugged him. "I know...It's SO good to see you too Marco." The young princess purred with delight. Jackie was able to briefly look back to the pair before sighing in sadness and turning away from them. "Yeah...it wasn't meant to be, Marco. But at least I had a good time with you." Jackie whispered to herself as she put on a smile.

At that moment, Star appeared beside her. "By the way Jackie-" Star began, accidently frightening Jackie in the process. "Woah, careful Star. I nearly lost control." She said after putting her hand on her heart and calming down. "Sorry about that. Anyway, as I was saying, how did you managed to get a van like this?'' Star asked out of curiously towards the van.

"Well, this van belongs to my older sister. I convinced her to let me borrow it, but she doesn't know about the changes we made to it, magical changes." Jackie explained, confusing Star a little. "All I did was was put the charger in, Janna tweeked the van a little and then the charger did the rest. Now it can fly, turbo boost and a lot of cool other stuff." Marco explained, amazing Star in the process. "Anyway, buckle up you guys. Echo Creek her we come." Marco said as he got everyone to buckle up and pull one of the levers, which opened a dimensional scissors function from the engine. The van then cut a dimensional portal and it flew through the it before disappearing from Mewni.

Elsewhere...

An orb revealing what Star and her friends had just done, a dark figure with green eyes emerged and saw where Star was going. The figure then came into the light to reveal that he was Ludo Aravius, Star's enemy who had been possessed by Toffee.

"Running away are we Star? Well you can run all you want, but you can't hide from me." Toffee said, grinning wickedly as the other half of the wand glowed even brighter. He then looked towards an ancient and very dark scroll, which describing an ancient and very powerful but deadly weapon. "I will find you, reclaim my lost finger and finally get my revenge on..." But before he could finish, Toffee was then interrupted by someone standing in the corner of his lair.

"Do you really need to monologue like that again?" The figure said, revealing itself to be Glossaryck who was becoming very bored on what the possessed bird had been repeating for days. "Nobody asked you Glossaryck, besides I'll have my revenge on the butterflies soon enough. Especially Moon, and her father." Toffee spoke as his voice sounded like it had a little bit of anger within it.

"If it's because you lost your finger to Moon all those years ago, you know fully that it was your own actions that...?" The wise being said, Toffee then growled with anger and blasted a portrait of Moon and her family, obliverating it in the process. He then flew straight over to Glossaryck before yelling. "IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! Besides, her family, their magic, it all disgusts me!" He growled in fury.

"I'm aware of your hatred, but..." Before Glossaryck could even finish, the door suddenly swung opened and hit the stone wall with a loud clatter. In ran Spikeballs, one of Ludo's minions that, thanks to Toffee, had been brought back along with the rest of Ludo's original army a week after his battle with the high commission, of course, it was all thanks to the magic book that Ludo had stolen. "Toffee, Ludo, you're not gonna believe this. We actually found it." Spikeballs said right before the green eyes that Ludo had went back his normal eyes.

"You did? In the exact place that I told you guys to dig?" Ludo asked in suprise in his own voice. "Yeah, you were right when you said it had woken up already by the way. It chased Three-Eyed Potato Baby and Man Arm around as it sapped the magic out of one of our lads." Beard Deer said as he panted and panted. "Well what are you idiots waiting for then? Bring it in." Toffee said as he switched back from Ludo's voice.

Big Chicken, Emmitt and Bearicorn then brought down a big and long rusted chest and laid it out before Ludo. It was also glowing in a darkish pink aura for some reason. All of Ludo's minion's gathered around the box to look at it. "Isn't this...the weapon that must never be used? As in, the actual weapon that the Queen of Darkness used to destroy all who got in her way? And who corrupted..." The giraffe started to ask with a hint of fear. The mushroom monster then shoved his way past everyone. "That woman is gone, she hasn't been seen since the battle between Mewni and the Mysterious Hollow." He said before Toffee made them quiet down.

Glossaryck then realised in horror of what Ludo's minions had found. "No...it cannot be." He murmured as the possessed bird then opened up the chest and caused the dark pink light to shoot out from the chest as they viewed the mysterious weapon.

"With the wand split into two pieces, and Festivia's spell not being able to function properly, the weapon has finally awakened again and is now under our control." The possessed bird said before taking out the weapon with his bare hands and held it up for his minions to see. The weapon was a rusted trident, with rusted blades and withered bandages wrapped around it. There were also parts of the weapon that had Ebony on it. "...And we'll use this to gain our rightful magic?" Emmitt asked until Toffee actually told him. "No! I will use this to gain our rightful magic, understood? Besides, this was mearly the finding of the first piece, when this weapon is merged with it's final piece, we are one step closer to awakening the ancient Jagged Crown." Toffee explained to his monstrous minions.

Upon hearing what the possessed bird's plans were, Glossaryck realised what he was trying to accomplish. "Toffee, you cannot use this weapon. To do so would mean the destruction of magic, don't you know that the trident is the very reason why problems are caused?'' Hearing Glossaryck, Ludo then began talking as he switched back from Toffee. "Oh come on old man. You don't even know the true meaning of this." He spoke before switching back to Toffee.

"Besides, as soon as the magic is sapped from the universe by the weapon, I will erase you from existance along with everyone else that you've ever known." And with that, Toffee ordered his minions to lock up Glossaryck until further notice.

Seeing no hope in Toffee, Glossaryck mearly glared at him before speaking. "You brought this on yourself. Beings like you will always fail." Glossaryck said as he was escorted out of the lair. "Tch, yeah right, you're just trying to scare us all." Ludo spoke before placing the weapon on an umbrella stand.

Toffee then wrote a message with his magic as he called for Ludo's flying minion. It's time. You know what to do. He wrote before handing the letter to the minion and sending him to the underworld. Toffee then gloated over the weapon before grabbed ahold of it and used his magic on it, resulting in it shooting a dark energy beam into the sky. Cackling with power from the rusted trident, Toffee also managed to awaken something...and someone.

Early in the morning

Echo Creek

Jackie flew the van flew out of the dimensional portal from Mewni and back onto Earth, even flying towards a familiar town, the home of Marco, Jackie and Janna and also known by another name, Echo Creek. While there weren't many people around during the early hours, some people, who were out doing early jobs, could see the flying van, decending. All the while in the back, Star and her other friends were busy catching up on the last two months that Star had missed when she left for Mewni, even Jackie told Star a few things she did herself.

Star learnt that Marco had begun training for black belt with Sensei Brantley's help, Jackie went abroad to Europe for the last 8 weeks where she entered a few championships and managed to blast herself into the championship finals in the United Kingdom. Then she learnt that Pony had become a DJ for giving others a good lot more of a party, Janna had been able to hack into computers and all to take what she needed much to Marco's annoyance, Kelly was currently finding rare and exotic herbs to help fuel her fighting skills, Tad had been researching both battle techniques and various types of foes, and Tom had been looking for ways to calm down when he got angry.

The way Star heard it from her friends was absolutely amazing for herself, especially when Tom explained what he was able to accomplish with Marco's help, one of them being coming up with a rescue mission for Star. He also added that Jackie had arrived back in Echo Creek just in time to help out with her sister's van as well. Then the others gladly decided to help Star out with escaping. "Wow...so it was both your ideas to help rescue me?" Star asked in disbelief. "Yeah...basically." Marco admitted before Star pulled the two boys in for a hug.

Jackie then pushed the gearshift lever behind the van upwards step by step, causing the van to slowly decend to the ground, bit by bit. Eventually, the young girl landed the van safely onto the road where she drove right up to a familiar place, The Diaz Residence. Jackie then swerved the van, causing it to turn 180 degrees to the right and roughly parking the van, right outside the residence.

"Woah...that was well parked. I'd better lay off on the driving for a while." Jackie said in relief as she turned back to Star and the others, who had been flung all over the place thanks to the serving that she did whilst parking. "She ain't half wrong B-Fly." Ponyhead groaned in pain, having been launched towards Marco's stomach at an alarmind pace. After sorting themselves out and getting out of the GMC van, the gang then snuck up to Marco's place as he opened the door as quietly as I can.

"Ok, come on. But keep it quiet, my parents are still sleeping." Marco whispered to the gang as he carefully tip toed across the floor to the kitchen. "Why don't we thrown them in the basement?" Tom suggested stupidly, making everyone turn towards him. "What? That's how I used to treat people who get on my nerves." Tom explained, only resulting in the gang groaning and moving on. Star meanwhile, looked around the house like it had been the first time she had seen it in years, even though it was two months. She also came across the pictures of the exchange students on the all.

When looking at it, Star saw something that made her skip a breath. There was a new picture that she hadn't seen on the wall before, a picture that contained Marco, his parents, and Star herself. "Do you like that one?" Marco asked, coming over to Star as soon as he saw her looking at the photo. "I put that up after you left for Mewni. It wasn't the same, but I just wanted tsomething to help me remember you." Marco explained sheepishly before sighing. "Marco...that is so sweet of you." Star said as she hugged her bestie.

"Yeah...nothing was really the same without you. Sabrina was upset, Starfan made a fanfic where you returned home and me...well, I kept thinking you were still here, but you weren't." Marco said as he and Star continued to look around the house, recalling a few moments during summer that were upsetting for him and others. "I really wanted to go after you as soon as you left, but I was chased out of the castle. That's when we tried finding ways to get you out." Marco explained, along with telling Star that he told Tom about his Dragoncycle, Nachoz and where to find him in Hekapoo's dimension.

"Oh, and speaking of which..." Tom began, appearing behind Marco out of nowhere. "Agh! Dude, little heads up next time?!" Marco yelled in annoyance. "Sorry...anyway, did I mention that Hekapoo's quite...cute?" Tom said sheepishly, hiding his blush before a slight smile formed on Marco's face. "Tom...do you actually...have a crush on Hekapoo?" Marco asked, feeling like he was going to laugh or disgusted.

Tom then left to find the others out of embarrassment, nearly bumping into Kelly, who seemed a little confused. "Uh...what was that all about?" The teenage woolett asked in confusion, only to see Marco shrugging. The three kids then joined their friends, who were currently lounging around in the kitchen. "Do you Marco's parents would mind if we had some food?" Jackie asked, feeling like it wouldn't be right. "Nah, I don't think they'd mind." Janna said without a care in the world as she took an orange from the bowl.

"Wow...the last time I was on Earth, I actually confessed to having a crush on you Marco. Sorry if that was too embarrassing for you, Marco." Star said, feeling like what she said in front of everyone was probably embarrassing, especially for Marco. "It's alright Star, fine star. And come to think of it, I-" Marco began with a smile of reassurance, but was immediately cut off by Ponyhead. "Ah ah ah, not now, Earth Turd." She said firmly.

"Yeah, good point...anyway, Star, the last time we were both in the kitchen, you nearly blew it up." Marco then said with a chuckle. "Yeah...I told you Marco, the baking soda helps the meal." Star said with her usual crazy knowledge. Jackie chuckled lightly at the duo talking again, but turned away slightly. "You still upset about it, Jackie?" Janna asked with a bit of concern. "I'm fine...really, it's nothing to worry about." Jackie insisted with a smile.

The gang then turned to the kitchen entrance to see a woman in her 30s, appearing at the entrance with a look of frustration. "Where HAVE you been?!" She yelled at Jackie surprisingly. Janna then groaned, thinking that the gang would probably get a good lecturing for this. "Great, now what?" Tom said to himself in annoyace as he and the others prepared for being scolded for...whatever the reason was.

Well, that's this chapter over and done with
