Prepare yourselfs for a Shopping Mall Montage...and also a sinister introduction

Chapter 4 - Shopping Montage

Over at the Echo Creek Shopping Mall

Most of students from Echo Creek High were already at the mall and purchased the items that Principal Skeeves had suggested them to get while the rest were mostly hanging out with each other and had plans to get those items when they were back at school. The student that was mostly content on getting the items, was none other than Brittney Wong.

She and a couple of her friends went to the mall for the items, but as usual to her friends, it seemed like Brittney was gonna try on clothes that only she wanted while leaving the rest of the girls with nothing but a sock. "Alright girls, let's make this quick 'cause I wanna hit the disco lounge after this." The stuck up rich girl said as her friends had a bit of trouble carrying her things out. "Ugh. Please, my daddy could carry more than you girls ever could. Butl...at least that nutty excuse of a girl is nowhere around me anymore." Brittney said, thinking that Star had finally gone forever.

Suddenly, Brittney saw a purple van, rampaging it's way down towards the Mall's parking lot. A lot of people had to get out of the way in order to avoid it, but that didn't compare to the amount of destruction it left in it's wake. Brittney immediately screamed and ducked behind her friends for cover, right before the van turned over and did a barrel roll onto it's side. The purple van thankfully landed on the parking space beside the Brittney's Limo and slightly scratched the door as it landed perfectly inside the parking space.

The van's doors and sliding door then opened up, revealing Star Butterfly and her gang exiting the vehicle. They were all shaken up from that wild ride. "I told you, Star can't drive! And what do you guys do? You let her drive the van!" Jackie yelled in stress towards everyone. "Er...Kelly's the one who suggested that Star should drive your sister's van." Pony pointed out, shifting most of the blame on the teenage Woolett.

Kelly just groaned in a bit of anger as the gang walked into the mall. "Come on you guys, it's nobody's fault. We can deal with this later. Anyway, first off we need some stuff from one of the stationery shops, history books from the book store and well...shopping for a bit of clothing on whatever we wanna wear to London." Marco said as he turned back to the gang.

"Well what are we waiting for then? Lets go!" Star said, crazily excited about shopping before running into the mall whilst grabbing Marco's wrist. Chuckling at this, Tom and the others followed the duo into the mall. "Wait. Ponyhead and I are too short for ordinary human clothes! What are we gonna wear?" Tad asked in realisation before they both ran in order to catch up with the gang.

Watching the gang run into the store, Brittney growled with anger at the one girl who she thought was an absolute crazy lunatic. "Oooh! She's not gonna get away with that stunt! Come on girls!" She said firmly before storming into the mall after Star. Moments after that happened, A dark portal opened up and a female walked out of it. "Hmm, so this is the place where most of those students are going huh?" She said before walking into the mall to find a certain someone.

Inside the mall

Star and the others looked around it in amazement. There were countless places around the giant building: 100 stores 24 restaurants, 12 movie screen and even an indoor roller coaster. "Wow! This place...is awesome!" Star beamed in absolute awe as she looked around the place. "Yeah, anyone would want to live here." Tom said in amazement with Kelly, Tad and Pony agreeing with him soon afterwards. "It's like a paradise in another Dimension." Pony said, hardly able to keep herself together.

"Question, how is anyone able to fit all this great stuff in one building?" Pony asked with a hint of interest. "Well...humans have their ways in life, and it usually does take time to build places like this." Marco replied with a smile. While most of the Star's friends were set on buying clothes, only Tom was the one to think that splitting up and meeting back at the mall's fountain was a good idea.

Somehow, the girls agreed with Tom's opinion and decided that it could be ideal to show up when they were finished their shopping. Marco tried to change the girls' minds but it was too late, Tad and Tom had already started to drag him along towards one half of the mall while Star was being dragged to the other half of the mall by Pony, Janna and Jackie. Neither of them knew that Tom, Tad, Pony and Janna had forged a plan together. One which involved getting Star and Marco together as a couple without the pair of them knowing it, of course, this could have upset Jackie, but strangely she was ok with it.

(Shopping Montage:)

Having gotten all of the stuff for the trip, Tom and Tad took Marco to a store with cool clothing for teenage boys. To Marco's surprise, Ferguson, Alfonzo, Justin and Toby were finding some clothes there as well. The three boys looked around the store for a good set of clothes for when they went to London, however, they didn't have much luck so fat. Most of the clothes Tom wore were not his type, as he'd put it. No matter how many clothes Marco got the demon to try on, they weren't a match. However, Tom immediately found something that he'd love to try on, and soon enough, it was perfect for him.

Tad looked through all the hats in the hat section hoping that he could find something for himself. When nothing came to view, he settled for a hat that looked like baseball cap...until it was snatched off of him. After Tom found a suitable pair of clothes for himself, Marco went through all the hoodies and jackets he could find, but couldn't find any one of them that he fancied the best, but after a while, he spotted something that really suited him and went to try it on. Having done so, he felt like his new outfit made him like a new version of himself.

Meanwhile on the other half of the mall

Star had taken the girls the ladies department, not only that, but there was also somewhere where the girls were able to get their hair done as well. It wasn't long before all five girls met up with a few girls from Echo Creek that Star knew, Sabrina, Leah and Ingrid. The three girls were mostly in the mall to buy clothes for each other, and even forcing Ingrid to try them on despite her resistance.

Inside the store, Star and the rest of the girls were overwhelmed with the countless possibilities of outfits they could wear to London. In fact, Pony was so excited about finding something to wear...until she found out she needed a body in order to try clothes on. But after being reassured by Star, Pony and the other girls went around the place to see what to wear.

Jackie immediately found something that suited her, and in her own opinion, it was a light outfit than anyone would expect, and she was able to ride her skateboard a lot better with it too. Janna meanwhile was looking through the store to find a few clothes for herself, and try to steal them. However, Star and Kelly prevented her from doing that and made her return the clothes. Janna would have been bummed out, but she eventuallyfound the perfect idea for her school trip outfit.

As soon as the girls went to the Hairdressers, Star, Jackie, Pony and Janna decided to have their hair done up a little. Kelly on the other hand, was having her hair done in multiple styles but non of them suited her. After having the perfect idea for a hairstyle, she asked one of the hairdressers if she could do a hairstyle that she was most keen on getting. Once they got their hairstyles done, the girls were amazed at what their own hair had been made into.

When Star tried using her wand to change into an outfit, Jackie and the girls insisted for her to try on something different for a change and helped her pick out something nice for her to wear. When Star found an outfit, she went to the dressing rooms to try it on, and was delighted by it. Then, without anything else, the girls went to purchase their new outfits and left for the fountain where they promised to meet up again with the boy.

(End of Montage)

Back at the fountain..

Having gotten everything, the gang regrouped at the large fountain in the mall, even noticing their new looks as well.

Back at the fountain and after a while of changing and paying, The gang met up again and looked at each other as if they were meeting a different set of people all together. "Whoa...Kells...nice clothing..." Tad said to his girlfriend. As a matter of fact. the whole gang were amazed by each other's appearances. Janna now wore an olive green training hat, a turquoise neck scarf, a long sleeved green striped shirt, a pair of cuffed short denim shorts, and dark yellow boots. Tom now wore a dark red poison black jacket with spikes on the shoulders over his casual top, a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of really awesome shades.

Tad…mainly had a beanie propeller hat, which was honestly the only thing he could buy out of everything in the store due to him not having much of a body. Ponyhead, despite being the same as Tad, now had her mane washed, brushed and styled as a mohawk and wore a choker necklace with a star-shaped topaz in the middle, especially wearing a gold ring on her horn. Jackie now wore a green strapless tank top with a black leather hoodie tied around her waist, navy blue metallic leggings and a pair of blue sneakers. She still had her usual orange shell necklace, but now she wore a rainbow coloured angelfish hairpin in her now curled hair to help keep with one bang of hair over one side.

Kelly now had her hair, tied into her usual long ponytail and she now wore a long sleeved blueish-purple fingerless t-shirt, a light and dark purple striped skirt, a dark purple choker, a pair of pink flats and a pair of purple rimmed glasses. She also had a lavender shoulder bag, assumingly for carrying a few things in it. Marco then showed off his fair share of new looks to the gang. He had changed his usual red hoodie to a royal blue letterman hoodie with white sleeves with a red shirt with a green karate fist underneath, black jeans, a pair of red sneakers. "Wow…awesome style Marco." Tom complemented with a thumbs up. "Yeah, Earth Turd. I'm likin' the new you already." Pony added with glee.

"Heh, thanks Pony. I think I'm excited about the new hoodie too. Ohh, just wait until Star sees thi-wait. Where is Star?" Marco began before noticing that Star wasn't around. "Over here Marco. I thought it would be best to save the best for last." Star immediately said from behind the girls. Sabrina, Leah and Willow then stood aside to reveal the princess from another dimension herself.

Only that said princess, looked more of your everyday teenage girl. Star now wore a denim pinafore with hearts and a gold star on it over a lime green shirt, yellow leggings, pink dinosaur boots and last but certainly not least, Star had changed her usual red devil-horned headband into an uplifting pink headband with a bow on the side. Not only that, but Star had also had her blonde hair brushed into a wavy hairstyle.

Marco, couldn't find any words to say about his bestie from Mewni and was left to be speechless. He had never seen Star in Earth clothes before, and this was honestly a first for him. "Well, whaddya think Marco?" Star asked Marco, doing a little bit of a pose to turn on his emotions. Marco nearly fainted, but thankfully calmed himself down enough to speak to Star. "Wow…Star, you look absolutely…cute." He finally managed to say despite a furious blush that he tried to hide. "Aw…thank you so much Marco." Star said as she sweetly hugged him.

"Yes…Thank you soooo much, Marco. Blegh!" A voice, assumingly belonging to a female, spoke mockingly. After looking around, the gang noticed that the source of the voice came from on top of the fountain's statue. It was there that they all saw a three-eyed female demon that almost looked like Tom. Surprisingly, she was exactly the same demon from that shop in the dark dimension from before.

But what really caught everyone's attention was the fact that this new demon looked almost identical to Tom himself. "Woah...wer ist dieses neue Dämonenmädchen? (Translate: Woah ... who is this new demon girl?)" Ingrid asked in shock. "Uh, why does she look like Tom?" Marco asked in confusion. "Gurl, who the heck is she?" Pony then asked in disgust. "She's…nobody important, it's just-" Tom began, but was immediately cut off by the female demon. "Really Tommy? You didn't even bother to tell your friends about me?" She said bitterly to Tom, like she knew him. "Ohhh, now I remember, you're that demon from my junior prom." Star said, remembering that the demon was one she met before.

"Guys…how does that girl know you?" Marco asked in confusion. "Yeah…is there something you haven't told us yet?" Janna asked with a bit of a smirk. "Well, funny story you guys…she's my sister." Tom confessed sheepishly, saying that he was related to the demon, making the gang gasp. "Wait! So she's related to y-she's a Lucitor?!" Marco exclaimed in absolute shock before the female demon created a pillar of ice to yank the karate kid right up to her face. "My name is Glacia Lucitor! And don't you forget it, you absolute piece of trash!" She yelled, speaking her name before throwing Marco back.

Star was able to catch him thankfully, unfortunately for her, he landed right on her. The girl, known as Glacia, then jumped off the statue and onto the water. However, the water froze upon her making contact with it, especially when she walked over it. "I'll bet you loved all that attention at your school hall, didn't you Star? The princess of Mewni and firstborn of Queen Moon the Undaunted. Yeah…I saw you, heard about you, but nobody asked you to protect them, plus, you're all a pack of jokes!" She spoke, finally reaching Star and rearing into her face.

"Hey! She didn't want all that!" Pony yelled in anger. "So, you've become more bitter and cruel than usual, Glace." Tom said crossly to his own Sister. "Yeah! What's your deal anyway?!" Marco asked as he shoved Glacia away from Star and onto the floor. However, it was a huge mistake for him, because all of a sudden, Glacia glared right at Marco and her eyes began glowing a bright blue colour. "Why…you, inconsiderable, FREAK!" She screeched, similar to Tom when he got angry, only this time, a frightening blast of ice spread throughout the mall's square, freezing anything that it touched instantly. Brittney, unfortunately, was nearby when it happened and got frozen.

Normally the gang would've frozen to death, but thanks to Tom's fire powers, they were immune to his sister's power. "I'll teach you to disrespect me like that!" Glacia growled in anger as she encased her entire lower right arm in a very strong shard of ice, looking like a blade. She was about to strike at Star, when all of a sudden, an arm grabbed her icy arm and prevented her attack, thus causing her to unfreeze everything. "Now now, Glacia…there's no need to be so nasty." A deep male voice spoke, causing Glacia to turn towards the source to see a huge figure behind her, the same figure, who was also her uncle, Krampus. The ominous figure merely pushed Glacia aside and approached Star.

"Oh no…" Tom muttered to himself as the figure, who revealed himself to be that demon, Krampus, from before. Star got a little creeped out by his appearance and nearly chickened out if only her legs weren't frozen with fear. "Princess Star Butterfly. I am Krampus Lucitor. Tom's uncle, on his mother's side. At last we finally meet in person." Krampus spoke in a creepy voice as he extended his hand towards Star's.

Star, being a bit hesitant about Tom's uncle, that he never mentioned, shakilly extended her own hand to shake Krampus' hand. "Forgive me if I'm rude…" The cloaked demon said as he unexpectedly took Star's family wand and examined it before giving it back to her. "Hmm…your wand is still most powerful. Despite it being split in half…or the book of spells being taken from you by an old enemy to your family." Krampus then spoke as Star bravely stood her ground.

"Toffee did a lot of terrible things to my family. And Ludo was no more than a thief." She spoke firmly despite her wand glowing green like before she left for Mewni. Krampus then looked at Star with his glaring ebony eyes and figured that something had changed about her. "Either you're brave enough to face off against him, or very stupid to interfere with his ideology." He spoke with a low snarl. "Star's the bravest girl I've known. Apart from a couple of months ago, nothing can ever break her spirit." Marco then said, speaking up for Star's defence. "Yeah, especially since her friends are right by her all the time." Ponyhead added proudly.

Krampus, however, merely smirked to their surprise as he turned his head in their direction. "So, you must be the one that tom calls, Marco Diaz." The monster spoke, rearing towards Marco's face for a better look. "You've…known about-" Marco began, only to be cut off by the monstrous demon. "Yes…Tom's told me all about you, along with your so-called…crush." Krampus said, darting his eyes at Jackie briefly, freaking her out.

It wasn't long before Krampus turned towards Pony, Kelly and Tad either. "And you three must be with the young princess, no? Princess Lilacia Pony Head from Cloud Kingdom I can understand why, but a pair of young Wooletts from Woolandia? Why would anyone even need you when all you do is nothing but fight?" He spoke, giving off a bit of emotional abuse about Kelly and Tad.

Kelly ended up being upset by Krampus' words, but Tad and Pony were furious and tried to attack the hunchback demon, only for Marco to hold them both back. "And finally, don't tell me, mewman looking young ones, Earthly clothes and books…you must all be the princess' earth friends." He then said, taking a history book on London from Sabrina's bag.

Feeling a little uncomfortable with his uncle and sister being here, Tom decided to leave immediately. "Right, come on guys, let's get back to Star's-" He began as he tried guiding the gang away, only to be cut off when Glacia jumped in front of him. "Don't leave! You're being rude, Tommy!" She yelled bitterly before she was silenced.

Krampus then approached his own nephew with a dark and sinister look. Something told Star and Marco that they didn't get along at all. "So, good times in the underworld, Thomas? Well…from what I can see with your parents making you ruler of the underworld in this state of growing soft, I wouldn't think so." He spoke in disappointment as he gestured Tom's friends.

"What I choose is my business, uncle. Nobody else's." Tom growled firmly, beginning to get fired up briefly before remembering his anger management sessions and calming down. "Hmph. Well what's the use of being a ruler of the underworld if you don't act the part of being one?" Krampus then asked rhetorically with a deep growl. Janna on the other hand, was a bit concerned for Tom, but figured he could handle himself. "Oh believe me, I've become one. Also, I've got a very different view on what a shame on being a demon means. Especially since you took Glacia under your wing." He spat back insultingly.

Krampus was shocked by those words, and Glacia wanted to pound her own brother into the ground for that. "Being amongst others with a soft heart…" The hunchback demon spoke firmly in disappointment for Tom's actions. "And here I thought my dear sister couldn't have had such a more disappointing son." He spoke again, returning Sabrina's book to her bag.

However, Kelly caught a glimpse of something else being put into her bag, and none of the others, apart from Marco and Star after a moment, seemed to notice. "But then again…who am I to judge you?" Krampus finished before turning away. The elder demon then walked past Tom and his friends before opening a portal to the underworld with his demonic dimensional scissors. "Good day, your highness. I hope one day we'll meet again." Krampus then spoke as he entered the portal. "See you around, Butterfraud! Hahaha!" Glacia laughed evilly as she glided around the gang before gliding straight through the portal.

After that

The gang decided to head back to Marco's place. On the way out however, Star and Jackie noticed that Brittney was whining to her father about her limo being scratched by Amy's Van. But that wasn't the worst part, her father was talking to Jackie's parents and older sister. "Uh oh..." Star said upon seeing what was going on. "We're in trouble now..." Marco whispered in fear. "And I wonder who's fault that is." Jackie and Kelly accidentally said in unison.

Jackie's mother soon took notice to her daughter and the gang as well as Brittney's father, thus giving Marco the impressio that it was time to make a run for it. "Oookay, well let's get going then." Marco said, immediately opening a portal with his scissors to his home. "See you guys later, I can't wait to-" Star began, only to be dragged through the portal by Tom and Marco before she could finish. "See you guys later." Janna then said, having been the last to enter the portal before it disappeared. "H-Hey...wasn't Jackie here a few minutes ago?" Ellie asked, feeling confused as she asked Star's friends where her daughter was.

Star's friends, being her friends of course, merely shrugged, lying to her about not seeing her daughter nor Star. Eventually, Ellie gave up and took her eldest daughter's van home. Sabrina then decided to head home herself, feeling a little strange all of a sudden. She never even noticed the object that Krampus had snuck into her bag, glowing ominously...

That Night at Marco's home

Having gotten back to Marco's place, the first thing that Star had done was transform the spare room back into her usual mewman exchange student room. As Marco had described it, it was a sight for really sore eyes. Jackie was eventually found by her parents and her sister, who almost got chewed on when she tried to explain the whole situation about today. Her dad brought it, her mother took it differently and ended up trying to figure out a punishment before her husband told her to leave it. Afterwards, Jackie decided to head home after the day's events with Amy's van, that had been dented on the driver's door a little.

Janna also decided to head home too, once she took a certain something with her that belonged to Marco: His keys. Tom, Kelly, Pony and Tad however, decided to stay in Marco's house for a while, not only so that nobody could take Star by surprise in her sleep, but to also lay low from Miss Heinous for a good long while. When the two girls had gone home, Star, Pony, Marco, Kelly, Tad and Tom just decided to go to bed. Star allowed Pony and Kelly to sleep in her room and Tad and Tom were wondering where they were going to sleep in Star's room. However, Tom thought too soon as the young princess had actually left the the two boys in Marco's room.

Neither of the boys could sleep that night as somehow, the three girls were having what they called: A girl's night. It was mostly to do with the fact that the girls were loud enough to keep them awake. Somehow though, it wasn't enough to wake up Marco's parents. "Grr, how much longer are they gonna be up? I can't take it anymore!" Tom growled in frustration whilst trying to block out the sound with a pillow.

"Yeah man, I'm not able to get any sleep at all with all that noise." Tad agreed once he tried to block the door with pillows to get to sleep. "Guys relax, Star's not gonna be up all night. Trust me, if I know Star,s he'll probably get tuckered out after a while, which means that the girls will be asleep any second now..." The young boy explained before listening to the noise. Eventually, the loud noise stopped and the boys were finally able to rest...all except for Marco. "Finally, peace at last." Tom said as he nodded off to sleep himself. Marco chuckled a little at this, missing Star and her usual self...but strangely enough, something else had come up that he had thought about.

Later upon the roof of the house...

Marco climbed onto the roof to have a good look at the stars, wanting to clear his head while feeling a bit sad about what happened...or better yet what he thought he was responsible for. "Marco? What are you doing up here?" Star asked, suddenly appearing from her room window while climbing up to the roof. Having noticed Star approach him, Marco thought it was a good idea to speak to her. "Well...I thought I'd distract myself with this view." He replied before looking back towards the stars.

Star then sat down beside him to view the stars too. She enjoyed being with him for the first time in forever, until she saw him sigh sadly. "'Hey...are you alright?" The young princess asked her friend. "Hmm...not really…" Marco managed to reply. "Why? What's bothering you…" Star began to ask, only to have Marco say the situation.

"I've…had a rough summer after you left. Nothing was ever the same again…and I took it the hardest. Every night I'd come up and try to take my mind off what happened." Marco explained gently, telling Star what he went through while she listened to him. "I could hardly sleep, I could hardly eat and I got into a bit of trouble over the first few days…" He went on, sadly.

"Then I tried to see you a few weeks later, but I was immediately chased away. Then I suppose we both know the rest." Having heard the whole thing from Marco, Star saw that he still cared about her despite being with Jackie. "Didn't Jackie help you get better?" Star asked, figuring that the cool girl would've been there for her boyfriend. "She tried...but she knew that it wasn't enough, and we…" Marco began, only to trail off, like there was something that happened between the two over summer.

"You…what?" Star asked with concern. "It's nothing…" Marco said, brushing off what he just said. Star then gently placed her hand on his shoulder warmly. "Don't worry about it. I'm here now, and that's all that matters, right?" She asked with a purr. "Y-Yeah…of course." Marco said, starting to smile a little. "Besides, you know what I do when I'm down?" Star asked Marco, a little rhetorically. "Use some kind of spell to remove feeling alone?" Marco asked, feeling that it was something. "I think of my happy thoughts." Star corrected with a smile.

"Right…right. But, I still couldn't help but feel like I caused all of this." Marco confessed, trying not to sound sad again. "Your fault? Why would you think me going back to Mewni was your fault?" Star asked, cocking her head to one side in confusion. "Because…mainly I wasn't there for you when you needed me, and I argued with you over that sandwich. And that caused you to destroy the want, lose one of the pieces, lose the magic book of spells and now Toffee's back!" He exclaimed in worry, making Star worry a little.

"Marco…those weren't your fault. You couldn't have seen those things coming. It was my own fault anyway. That sandwich was just a sandwich, and I really should have ditched Janna to go to that dance, and please don't tell her I said that. Besides…we'll find the book of spells somehow, and if it comes to it, we'll find a way to defeat Toffee, together." Star said, having calmed down and admitting that it was mostly on her.

"Also, I felt the same way you did during Summer." Star admitted with a little hesitation. "You did?" Marco asked with surprise. "Yeah. I wanted to go back to Earth so badly after I left. But thanks to my paranoid mother's delusions, she wouldn't let me. Especially after a big battle between Ludo's army and Mewni." She continued as she mentioned something that Marco wouldn't have expected to happen over Summer at all.

"A battle? What kind of battle?" Marco asked, feeling a bit of dread. Sighing, Star decided to tell the whole story on the battle during the summer. "After we left for Mewni, me and my mom had gone into hiding. I wanted to go back for my dad, but she wouldn't go back for him, even if she knew it was hard. We also had the bodies of the Magic High Commission. Ludo, or rather Toffee who had possessed Ludo, had absorbed their powers and made them dead…or unconscious I think." Star began explaining. "Wow…who knew Toffee could be that morbid." Marco said with a slight recoil of disgust.

"Besides the point, we eventually managed to restore their health back from this place called the Magic Sanctuary which is basically a place that can revive any living being. After Ludo had taken over the castle, we fought back and drove him away along with his army. But then, my mom prevented me from leaving the castle, and I felt like a prisoner. Then you guys turned up and rescued me. So…that's basically the whole story." Star finished before sighing a little.

"That explains a lot…also, your mom let you go yesterday after feeling guilty about keeping you on Mewni?" Marco asked, wanting to confirm what he just heard. "Yeah…she finally figured out she was paranoid, then it was mainly Miss Heinous we had to worry about." Star responded with a sigh of relief. "Feeling better now?" She then asked. "Yeah, much better, especially with you back." Marco responded with a sigh.

"What are you guys on about up here?" A voice asked from behind. Star and Marco looked back to see Kelly, climbing up to the roof where both kids were. "Kelly? What are you doing up? I thought you'd be fast asleep by now?" Marco asked in surprise as Kelly sat beside Marco with a slump. "I couldn't sleep." She responded with a sad sigh. "Well, we were just looking at the stars, so feel free to join in." Star responded with a smile. After the trio lay down on the roof, they watched the night sky and saw a shooting star. Star leaned in close to Marco before looking towards all of Echo Creek in front of her, with the lights and all. "I never realised how beautiful this place looked." She said with a smile, learning in closer to Marco.

"Do you guys ever feel like there's more to life than just fighting because of a culture?" Kelly asked all of a sudden. This caught Star's attention, mainly because she had heard about Wooletts and their culture. "Where's this coming from, Kelly?" Star asked in concern. "It's just that, today when we met Tom's uncle, he seemed to think that all we wooletts do is nothing but fight." Kelly explained, telling Star that she was a little sad about hearing those words from Krampus earlier today.

Star and Marco then sat up to look at the young teenage Woolett. "He was just being harsh to us all. Come on, what's wrong with fighting? I know I do it a lot." Marco asked, trying to lighten the mood a little. "Well…I do love fighting, professional wrestling and goblin dogs, but, sometimes…there are days when I want to prove that I'm not just some Woolett who fights just because of her culture. Sometimes I want to be there to help people out." Kelly explained, showing another side to herself that nobody knew about before.

"Woah…I never saw that side of you before. Also, it's no easy job, protecting the innocent, I mean, me and Marco have been there." Star said, surprised at Kelly's desire and possible dream from the looks of it. "I know…still, it's something that I want." Kelly said, chuckling a little with a little yawn. "Well I suppose, I can ask my mom for a favor about that sometime soon." Star then offered the teenage woolett. And to her expectance, Kelly accepted.

After Star fell asleep sometime later, Marco and Kelly took her back to her room where they laid her on her comfortable bed. Marco then left the room after saying goodnight to Kelly. On the way back to his room however, he spotted a certain red moon glowing from the outside window. "Why do I feel like I've got a crush on Star?" Marco thought to himself, conflicted on his feelings before shaking them off and heading to bed.

Meanwhile back at Ludo's new hideout

Whilst Ludo's minions were busy looking over a map for an unknown location in the city of London, He, or rather Toffee, was busy with the prisoners that he had taken hostage over the previous 16 hours, mostly monsters but also mewmans as well. "…now I won't ask a third time. Where is Star Butterfly?" He asked with a temper rising within him.

"We'll never speak to you, Toffee. Star isn't has stupid or as blind as you might think." One of the prisoners spoke while coughing. The possessed bird merely glared at the prisoner before pacing around the other ones. "Well then…if you're not going to talk, then I'll have to do this force." Speaking this, Toffee summoned the rusted trident and began using it's powers on the other prisoners. The weapon glowed a brightly inverted green colour on the blades and the hole that was shaped like an ace acted like a black hole.

While this happened, some of the prisoners glowed a goldish-yellow colour before Toffee used the power of the trident to drain them, or rather, drain them of the golden ooze that came from them. The gold turned to dark green ooze upon going near the trident's hilt, even weakening the prisoners. "The Devil's…Trident. It cannot be…" An elder prisoner spoke in horror. "It's real!" The young prisoner yelped in panic.

"That's right. The once powerful weapon of Eclipsa Butterfly has been recovered, and unless you tell me the whereabouts of Star Butterfly, I will drain you and all these other prisoners of health and I will turn you all into REAL monsters!" Toffee spoke, meaning business when it came to wanting Star's whereabouts.

Not baring to watch his companions die, the young prisoner spoke up quickly. "STOP! I will tell you, just don't harm them!" He screamed in panic, making Toffee stop draining the golden ooze from the prisoners. "That's better…now speak." Toffee spoke with satisfaction, putting down the trident to hear the prisoner. "She's…been sent back to Earth, by her mother. Rather, her friends rescued her from this crazy old lady called Miss Heinous." He spoke, sighing in regret, but speaking to save his fellow prisoners.

"Heh…Clever Moon. I'll find her, even if she's not on Mewni." He spoke with a cunning tone and a smirk. "Emmitt, Spikeballs!" He then yelled from outside, calling in Spikeballs and Emmitt immediately. "You called boss?" Spikeballs asked, feeling a little out of breath. "Take these prisoners back to their cells immediately." Toffee ordered immediately, allowing Spikeballs and Emmitt to drag all the prisoners back to their cells by force.

It was only then that Bearicorn was preparing to walk into the room alongside the blue three-eyed flower and the orange lizard whilst whispering something. "Alright, you'd better tell him, Florona." Bearicorn said with a freaked out tone. "Wait, I thought it was your idea to tell him, Carrot?!" The flower, called Florona asked in shock. "No, it was my idea for you to tell him, get it?!" The lizard, called Carrot, spoke to Florona.

Upon entering the room, Toffee turned towards the trio of monsters with a wicked smile. Almost like he had expected them, which was shown when he turned towards them once they entered. "Ah, there you three are, right on cue. Now that you're all here, bring out Glossaryck and the book of spells. I plan to sue the trident to destroy him once and for all." Toffee ordered his minions. During yesterday and today, Ludo had wanted to write his chapters in the book of spells, however Glossaryck refused to allow him. Knowing he'd be a threat, Toffee decided to destroy both him and the book of spells so that he wouldn't interfere.

"Um, about that…" Florona started nervously as Bearicorn then helped him out. "Apparently, Glossaryck's-" He began, only to be cut off by Ludo. "What? Does he want more pudding? Again?!" The bird asked in annoyance. "Not really…mainly because he's in the process of…he was working on…um he's…escaped?" Bearicorn finished nervously, preparing for the worst pain that he was going to get.

The worst couldn't describe Toffee's move. Bearicorn, Florona and Carrot were immediately thrown out of the door and made them crash into a glass window. "HE ESCAPED?! HOW COULD YOU IDIOTS ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?!" Toffee roared angrily as he flew towards the trio of monsters, who clung to each other in fear whilst shaking. "W-We just looked a-away briefly, then w-we turned b-back and h-he was gone…" Carrot said, explaining how it all happened. "You idiots had one job! JUST ONE!" Toffee roared before blasting a hole through the ceiling of the hideout and causing all kingdoms, including Mewni and Cloud Kingdom, to see it. This even frightened the trio of monsters as well.

"Send out the rats…get each and every one of them to search for Glossaryck, now…NO!" Toffee ordered without any hesitation, making the trio run off to release the rats out of absolute fear. "SmashHog!" Toffee called, summoning another one of his minions. "Yeah boss?" The minion, known as SmashHog asked. "If Star is going to London, then put a reminder to get her before she goes there. I'd like to stop her and silence her before she interferes with my plan. Also, I'd like you to grant me an audience with this Miss Heinous, woman I've heard about." Toffee ordered calmly.

"Sure thing boss." SmashHog spoke before rushing off to find Miss Heinous' whereabouts. Toffee then turned back to the hole in the roof that he'd created before smirking. "Star…I'm coming for you…for my finger…for my power to destroy Magic…and for my victory!" And with that spoken, Toffee summoned The Devil's Trident, as the prisoner had named it before, and blasted a beam towards the sky.

From a great distance away from the hideout, Glossaryck looked back towards the beam in horror before he opened a portal to Earth. "I've got to contact Arthur, and tell him the situation. That Hollow can't be awakened!" He said to himself with worry, mentioning someone who knew about some kind of hollow, before throwing the spell book and himself through the portal and just in time before it disappeared as Ludo's rat army had just missed him.
