Greetings once again.

Here's the seventh chapter of this story

Chapter 7 - The First Day

The next morning.

Amongst the rest of the gang, Marco was the first to wake up before any of the others. After a huge yawn, Marco saw they were still tuckered out from the events of yesterday, but then he noticed that Kelly was up before him, Jackie had sprawled over Janna, Tom had mistaken Tad for a pillow and Pony for a cuddly toy, causing the karate kid to snicker. "Oh man, I wish I had a camera right now." He snickered with amazement.

The last thing that Marco saw was Star, hugging her pillow…which felt damp? possibly from crying. "Hmm…was Star crying last night?" He asked himself in confusion before she slowly woke up as well. Before Marco could try and feel how damp the pillow was, Star's eyes suddenly shot open and the princess of Mewni jerked out of her bed. "MARCO, GET UP! WE'RE LATE FOR-" She began, only to stop when she remembered the events from last night while accidentally waking up her friends. "Oh yeah, that's right. We're on the London field trip." She then said with a sigh of relief as she lay back down on her pillow.

Soon afterwards, with the rest of the gang waking up, Marco decided to head to the bathroom to get ready for the day, but going near the bathroom, he heard something coming from within the room itself. Opening the door out of obliviousness and curiosity, Marco then saw Kelly, having gotten out of the room's shower and now brushing her hair whilst singing a song she'd just after listened to. Apparently she was now listening to it again and she was even singing along to it in the process.

"~ Baby you're a firework, come on let your colours burst, make 'em go oh, oh, oh, as you shoot across the sky-y-y. Baby you're a firework, come on let your colours burst, make 'em go oh oh-AAAAAH!" She sang while dancing to the song before spotting Marco and screaming in fright, even covering her lower body with her own hair before Marco saw anything that she shouldn't have. "Marco! You could've at least knocked!" Kelly complained in embarrassment towards the karate kid. "S-Sorry, Kelly." Marco replied before closing the door with shock.

"Ohhh man, I did not need to see that." He then said to himself after taking a deep breath. It also happened before Star and Tad came over to him. "I take it Kelly's in there?" The male woolett asked, figuring he was right. "Y-Yeah…maybe giving a little heads up next time would be great?" Marco asked in annoyance towards Tad. "Yeah, you should be there for Kelly when she needs you." Star added in agreement. "Sorry, I should've mentioned she's always up early to wash and brush her hair." Tad sheepishly explained. "Actually in Marco's defence, I should've given the heads up." Kelly then admitted, opening the door for her face to be seen.

"What time is it also?" Tad then asked as Marco turned to look at his watch, which had just struck the 8th hour. "It's just turned 8 o'clock." Marco pointed out, surprised that it was only that time, but still, he was beginning to feel hungry. "Cool, I'm hungry already." Jackie then said after a huge yawn. "Aren't we all?" Tom then said, having gotten up. "Hey Kells, we're just getting ready to go downstairs, you coming?" Tad then asked Kelly after knocking on the bathroom door. "With you in a minute, I just have to get dressed and do my hair." Kelly responded from within the bathroom, tying her hair up.

As they began walking downstairs, Marco kept his eye on Star, feeling like something was bothering her. "Hey Kelly, did you hear Star crying last night?" He asked, feeling worried about his friend. "Not really, why?" Kelly asked in confusion. "It's just that her pillow was damp this morning and she rarely does that." Marco explained, he figured that something might have been wrong with Star. "I'm right here you know, Marco. Also, I'm fine. Just a weird dream, but other than that, nothing too problematic." Star said, glancing at him with a bit of a smirk, relieving Marco.

Jackie meanwhile, was struggling to find a way of getting back her sister's van. She knew she was in big trouble, but she was even more worried about her mother's reaction once she discovered what happened. "What am I gonna do? That van could be anywhere by now." Jackie asked Janna with worry, hugging herself gently. "Girl, chill. We'll find it eventually." Janna said reassuringly. "She's right, but what I want to know is how and why that stupid vehicle drove off all by itself." Tom growled in frustration, annoyed at the van for ditching them.

Eventually, the gang made it downstairs in time for breakfast on the first floor. Everyone on the trip was inside and currently having their breakfast, and while they were worried about Star after last night, apart from Brittney, they were glad she was ok. "Do you think we're gonna get into trouble for last night?" Jackie asked after seeing a few glances from a couple of tables. "I doubt it, just think positive and we'll be fine. Besides, I think the faculty have other things on their mind." Marco said confidently, calming the gang down a bit.

Upon getting their breakfast, the gang sat at one of the empty tables to eat before Marco's phone began going off. When he looked at it, he saw that his parents had tried to call him several times last night and decided to answer them. "Marco, are you ok?!" Angie's voice then called out to him with worry. "Mom, I'm here. Sorry for not calling last night, we were just too exhausted from yesterday." Marco said, reassuring his mother calmly. "Oh that's good. So, did you give Star the gift yesterday?" Rafael then asked eagerly, hoping Marco would say yes.

However, Marco was shocked to hear that after what happened yesterday. "Dad, are you kidding me?! We nearly died because of a huge plant. You're lucky to be even speaking to me today." He complained in annoyance without realising it. "I know…sorry. Anyway, the other reason we called is to give you a heads up." Rafael then pointed out much to Marco's sudden confusion. "Heads up?" Marco asked, being confused already. "Yeah…some of the parents noticed their kids weren't on the flight." Hearing this from his father, Marco turned towards his and Star's friends at the other tables.

He noticed that they were speaking to their parents, who seemed confused, annoyed or possibly relieved that their kids weren't on the flight or otherwise weren't hurt. Ingrid's parents were annoyed with their own daughter, Ferguson's father was relieved that his son was doing ok, Alfonzo's parents were worried sick, Justin's parents were confused on why his ticket didn't work and Toby's parents were just as relieved as Ferguson's parents. "Woah…ok, that doesn't seem so bad." Marco said, glad that those kids weren't getting punished.

"Yes, but…just for a heads up, Jackie's parents found out and…let's just say it's going to be a bloodbath." Hearing this from his own father, Marco got a bit concerned. "Huh? Why'd you say that?" He then asked in concern, but never got an answered before a loud voice cut him off entirely. "Before you begin, let me just say this…STEALING YOUR OWN SISTER'S VAN?! I HONESTLY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED IF THEY FOUND OUT THAT YOU WEREN'T ON THAT PLANET TO LONDON! JUST WAIT UNTIL I GET AHOLD OF YOU, YOUNG LADY!" Ellie's voice yelled on Jackie's phone.

The loud voice from Jackie's mother was enough to get the attention off of a few tables, and Jackie was mortified when her fears were confirmed. "Mom, it's not what you think. Seriously, I was-" Before she could finish, Jackie was cut off by her own mother. "WELL, I DON'T SUPPOSE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT YOUR OWN FAMILY WENT THROUGH, DID YOU?! I MEAN, FLYING AWAY WITH THAT GMC VAN?! YOUR FATHER AND I DIDN'T RAISE YOU JUST SO YOU COULD DO THAT, YOU COULD'VE KILLED YOURSELF AND YOUR FRIENDS!" Ellie continued angrily, even with everyone wincing from her rant.

"Ok, ok, Ellie, you've made your point, just calm down. I'm sure there w-" Kayden began, but never got to finish before being shoved off the phone's screen. "JUST BE LUCKY THAT I'M LETTING YOU OFF BECAUSE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP OVER THERE! BUT I SWEAR, ANYTHING LIKE THIS AGAIN, AND I'LL WILL MAKE SURE YOU NEVER SKATE AGAIN IN YOUR LIFE! Oh and your father bad Joey both wanted to say hi to you. Anyways, we'll see you in a few days' time." Ellie then said, finishing on a calm manner before hanging up.

By the time the call ended, Marco and Jackie noticed that everyone was looking in the direction of the gang's table. Most of the students were shocked and possibly confused, and many were still recovering from Ellie's loud voice. "Er, what the heck did we just hear?" Carrie asked after taking her hands off her ears. "I don't know, but it sounded really loud." Sabrina responded, shaking all over. "Um right…well, I'll call you later then. Adios hijo." Rafael then said awkwardly before hanging up on Marco.

Brittney then burst out in laughter as everyone turned towards her way. "HA! How typical. The cool girl receives a phonecall from her mom and gets chewed by her." She mockingly laughed, nearly falling to the floor in laughter before noticing a few annoyed and possibly hurt looks on everyone's faces. "What? Nobody finds it funny? Wow…talk about a tough crowd there." She then groaned in annoyance. "Well, so much for our first day." Star groaned, feeling embarrassed about that phone call and how the day was turning out so far.

Later after breakfast.

All students of Echo Creek, Including, Pony, Tom, Kelly and Tad, were all gathered to a place in London called The Scoop, where Andante Inferno claimed that he would be teaching them a bit about London's history. Star was excited at first because she thought the place was a huge scoop of ice cream, but when she saw it as a monument for herself, she ended up being disappointed. And to make matters worse for her, Miss Skullnick was watching to make sure there was no funny business.

As soon as they were all gathered on the steps of the scoop, Andante appeared with his usual and proud appearance. "Lét me introduce you to yur english teachair and lé un who made zis trip possibuhl...mé." The french author began, making a great many female students adore him instantly. "Andénte 'liam' infairno, famous authair of weehlow and la wisps, spiritual travelair to those who'vé seen me across ze whirld and ninte times winnair of ze francais fenceng championship." Andante continued, showing off his fencing sword to the students.

"Wow…this guy's pretty cool. Unlike Earth Turd over here." Pony then said jokingly, causing Marco to groan at that remark. "Pony, can you give it a break?" Kelly asked with a bit of annoyance. "Yeah, in case you forgot, he can do Kung Fu, right Marco?" Tom then said, pointing out what Marco could do. "He does have a point to be fair, Pony." Star then pointed out fairly to her mewni bestie despite being attracted to Andante for a while. That feeling was then interrupted when Miss Skullnick was making sure nobody was having fun at this new lesson.

Whilst the students were being looked upon, Andante then began to explain about the history involving the City of London to them. "Zis massive citay zat you all stand upon, was airiginal-lee built by la Romans around 43 AD and founded by zem too. Airiginal-lee, zis citay was called londinium but éventual-lee was called: London, as wé know eet todai." The french author explained, showing the history on a whiteboard he had brought into the scoop. At first many students were fascinated by the history of London, but after a while, thanks to Skullnick, they were all beginning to get bored.

A couple hours later of rambling later, even he was beginning to get bored himself. "Duréng le 18th century, when Britain was a vairy powairful country een Europe, London became a vairy impairtent financial centre. Bak zén, most of la businez was done een coffee 'ousés on Square Mile." Andante continued, beginning to see the bored faces thanks to Skullnick. He didn't want the students to get bored, so as soon as he caught Skullnick's attention, he insisted to take the rest of the lesson time alone and got the troll to leave at last.

Once she was out of sight, Andante sighed in relief, flipping the board over to another side before turning to the rest of his class. "Well, that's prettay much évairytheng on zis lezon covaired fair todai. Now who wénts to 'air mairé on mon upcomeng novel of weehlow and ze wisps?" As soon as Andante said those words, all the students put their hands up in excitement, desperate to know more about what to expect from the next novel. Heck, even Star was persistent enough to want to know more details on the novel much to Marco's annoyed but amused chuckle.

"That's what ai lik to 'air. Now, haire's what ai 'ave een mind: I'd lik each of you to come up wiv zumthéng créative, lik a covair draweng air even a fan idea fair a stairy. Zé un who imprezes me la most weehl get la sneak previu. And wiv zat, ai wish you all good luk." Andante explained before disappearing in a poof of smoke, thus making the students belive that class was over for the day. The thought of this amazed Star exceedingly as she turned to see that Jackie and Janna had the same look, and before long, the three girls squealed in excitement.

"Oh my gosh! This is so exciting! Actually taking part in a competition involving Willow and the Wisps? This is so exciting! Oh, what are we gonna draw?! Are we gonna steal someone's idea to do it?!" Janna asked excitedly as started thinking of plans to sabotage others' ideas to win. "Take it easy will you, Janna? It's just for fun, and mostly for charity." Jackie then pointed out with a chuckle. "Yeah, and no funny business this time, so don't get any ideas about doing that." Marco then said firmly much to Janna's annoyance. "Aw, you're such a spoilsport." She then said glumly.

Kelly had a bit of an idea herself, but ended up shrugging it off before she could even say it to her friends. "So…any ideas for this competition?" Marco then asked the gang, and while the gang had just began thinking of ideas, Star immediately came up with an idea of her own for the competition. "Oh oh oh oh oh, I know. Why don't we do something that involves puppies?!" She squealed with excitement before she conjured a puppy after a strange glitch occurred. Star then proceeded to pick up and cuddle the cute dog without any hesitation. It was before long that she noticed Marco's concerned expression on his face.

"What's wrong, Marco?" Star then asked as she tilted her head in confusion. "Uh, did your wand just…glitch just now, or was it just me?" Marco then asked, looking at the crystal closely. "I dunno, maybe it's you? But I'll check it later." Star then said with uncertainty as she looked at her still cracked wand. "I'll bet you anything it backfires." Janna then said to Tom, and reluctantly, he agreed to it. "Right…well, either way, I'd better get going." Jackie then said, getting her skateboard out at that moment. "Where to?" Marco then asked in confusion.

"I'm meeting this group in the Regent Park in an hour's time, just start the project without me and I'll meet you guys later." Jackie explained before riding off towards where she needed to go to meet the group. "Group?" Star asked in confusion. "She did tell us she joined a team of skateboarders the day before, right?" Janna pointed out sheepishly. "Eh, good point. Anyway, c'mon, let's go see what ideas we can come up with for the competition." Tom then said, and to his relief, everyone agreed and they went over to one of the monuments in London for some ideas.

But as they walked away to one of the many sights within London, none of them noticed the fact that they were being watched by (1)a couple of shady men in suits. One of those men happened to notice Star's wand conjuring that puppy from nowhere and got out his radio. "Sir, you were right. She's here." The agent on the left spoke. "Good job, Michael. Both of you keep your distance for the time being, and if anything happens, contact me." The agent's superior spoke in a firm but calm manner. "Understood sir." The agent responded before hanging up and turned towards his partner.

"Travis…why do you have a spoonful of sugar…?" Michael then asked in annoyance, seeing his partner with just that. "What? It helps the medicine go round in a delightful way." The agent, called Travis, explained before snickering a bit. But Michael on the other hand, got annoyed with his partner before slapping the spook from his hand. "What? Mikey, can't you even take even a single joke?" Travis asked as the two of them walked away.

Over in Trafalgar Square.

A lot of Echo Creek Students were over by the fountains at this amazing, a lot of them sightseeing whilst the rest were just hanging about and thinking up ideas for Andante's competition. Star and the rest of the gang were many of those students…well, not including Ponyhead, Tad, Kelly or Tom. The gang talked about the best possible ideas that would help them win all together. Marco meanwhile, was glancing at the box that his own father had given him before he left for the trip, looking a little concerned about what to do.

"How am I gonna find the right moment to give this to her without ruining everything?" He said to himself with worry. "Give that to who?" Kelly asked Marco, having appeared beside him and even making him jump in shock. "Wha-?! Uh, Kelly! I-It's nothing too important but…" Marco began, unable to say anything without getting nervous first. Eventually he calmed down and decided to spill the beans. "Ok…I just kinda had this plan to give Star this gift for being a really good friend to me and guest to my parents…actually, more than that to be honest." He explained gently, opening the box to reveal it's contents.

Inside was a silver necklace bearing a gemstone on it, more specifically, a rare type of mexican fire opal. "Wow, it's so beautiful…what is it exactly?" Kelly then asked with amazement. "It's my grandma's necklace passed down to my mom. Dad thought that giving it to Star was a good idea since…well, nevermind." The karate kid explained despite not going on about the last part of the reason. "Well…maybe try giving it to her at the right moment, that'd usually work. It worked with my grandparents, so maybe you could-" Kelly began, only to be cut off when there was a loud crash nearby.

After hearing the crash, the gang were immediately alerted to this and looked over to the source of the noise. Over by one of the fountains, they saw a familiar pack of monsters, harassing Ferguson and some of the other students. "Ugh, I don't believe this. C'mon you guys, let's get those guys." Star then groaned with annoyance before she and the rest of her friends rushed over to help the students. "You guys again?! What are you doing here in London, and how did you survive that blast from Ludo's castle?!" Marco asked, shocked upon seeing Ludo's original minions for the first time in forever.

"Let's just say…some of us survived and the rest were brought back by Toffee. Anyway, we're here to get our revenge on you and reclaim Toffee's finger, seeing as how he claimed that you possess it." Florona spoke with pride. "And we'd attack you and your cohorts right now…buuut, we're just goofing around for now." Bearicorn spoke, confusing Star and her gang without warning and lowering their guards. "Yeah, plus we're also training our newest member for her first time out in the field." Goaturtlodile then pointed out coldly.

"Er…newest member? Who?" Marco asked, feeling like he was about to find out. And he was right, because the moment Goaturtlodile, Bearicorn and Florona stood aside, they revealed a familiar ice cold demon with three sapphire eyes. She was someone who Tom recognised all too well, especially from the day the gang went to the mall. "G-Glacia? You're working for Ludo?" He spoke in shock and disbelief, seeing his own sister once more. "Surprised to see me, Tommy? I was hired by Toffee after we met in the mall." Glacia said bitterly as she turned towards Star and Marco without warning.

"We're here on our own business, and if you know what's good for you, I'd get back to Mewni where you belong, Butterfraud." She continued, insulting Star with her demon-like rebellious phase. "We're also here to look for an old queen from 300 years ago and the location of the My-" Before Carrot could even finish, Glacia angrily stamped on his foot, causing him so much pain that he had to hop around on one foot. "Shut up, you idiot!" Glacia snarled through her clenched teeth. "Wow…and here I thought Tom was a jerk. You're far beyond being one!." Marco spoke in disgust at Glacia's actions.

"Well one thing's for sure: You lot won't last a day against our new toys." Three-Eyed Potato Baby spoke as he and the rest of his goons helded up some sort of dark-gem-like forged weapons. "Woah…gurl, those are Obsidian Weapons. The rarest and darkest forged weapons in the multiverse!" Pony shrieked in shock, hiding behind Star. "Ok, I've never had a spar with anything like that before." Kelly admitted, surprised to even see the weapons in the hands of Ludo's minions. "You see, Butterfraud, unlike some families…my uncle is able to afford the best." Glacia spoke proudly, a smirk appearing across her face.

"At least nobody had to buy mah bestie's wand. She earned it because she's part of a totally amazing family!" Pony said, pointing out how amazing Star was. "Yeah, in fact if anything, I'd say you're just jealous of Star and that you just want to use it for your own gain." Kelly then said, making a point about Glacia's bitterness in a way. Star and Marco were both pretty amazed that Kelly was standing up for Star, just like Pony. In fact, Kelly even winked at Star too. However, Glacia then reared up into the face of the teenage woolett with a death glare.

"Nobody asked you to say that, you stupid repetitive fool." The ice demon said insultingly, sounding very cruel as she spoke. Hearing those words, Kelly felt like she had been stabbed through the heart with a dark dagger and did everything she could to keep herself from crying over that. Tad was shocked by hearing that, but Star was furious at hearing that insult. "Ohhh, you are going to pay for that, you infuriating demon." She snarled as she took out her wand without warning.

"Pile Driver Panda Explosion!" Star then incantated, preparing to cast a kind of explosion spell at the ice demon. However, the blast didn't hit Glacia, thanks to the cracks upon the crystal, the spell backfired, causing Star to fly back and hit the ground, hardly. "Mmmph!" She said, unable to say anything because of something being in her mouth. The gang then rushed over to her side out of worry. "Star, are you ok?!" Marco asked with concern, helping Star to her knees along with Tom. "C'mon B-Fly, say somethin'!" Pony said, unable to see her bestie in pain.

Without warning, Star then barfed out something. Only it wasn't just something, it was actually the pandas from the spell that should have hit Glacia. Each one had a look of absolute fright written over their faces, almost like they were traumatized on being nearly eaten alive. As Star spat out more pandas, the other students, even Jackie, were grossed out and concerned about this. "Ha, looks like you're not worth the trouble after all. C'mon you guys, let's go." Glacia then said mockingly before opening a portal to her lair.

Star meanwhile, was unable to stop throwing up pandas despite the help from any of her friends. "Oh this is so going all over the internet. Hey Diaz, can you move so I can get a better picture of your girlfriend?" Brittney asked, mockingly laughing at Star constantly throwing up before being denied by Marco. "No Brittney, get lost!" He yelled before grabbing her phone and smashing it beyond repair. "My social media! You'll pay for this, Diaz!" Brittney yelled to Marco, who ignored her and helped Star to her feet.

"C'mon, we've gotta get you to your parents, Star. They'll know what to do." Tom then said, helping Marco out without any problems. "Hopefully Queen Moon will know the cure to a backfired spell or something." Marco then figured, barely able to help keep Star from throwing up anymore pandas temporarily. All the while, someone, a female figure, from the shadows of an alleyway, was watching the gang rush back to the Tower of London. "Queen Moon? My, I must have been gone for longer than I expected." She spoke out of curiosity.

Over at the Tower of London's hidden magical counterpart

Marco and the others had managed to carry Star to her parents and explained everything to them about what happened and the reason for Star barfing up pandas. Rhombulous then decided to help Star by giving her a bucket to throw up in while her wand was being fixed by him. "Honestly, I don't know what you were thinking, Star. Cracking the wand and casting spells afterwards will have consequences." Moon spoke out of annoyance towards her own daughter, which was the last thing Star wanted to hear.

"Darling, go easy on her. She's already ill enough as it is." River then said, trying to make his wife go easy on his own daughter, who still threw up pandas. All the while, Rhombulus was still fixing the crystal on Star's wand, but he was nearly finished though. "There, there and…there we are. All fixed." He said, handing the wand to Star, who threw up yet another panda into the bucket she was given. They were getting less and less, but it didn't make it any less disgusting for her. "Yeeesh, better out than in I'd say." Tom said in disgust, getting a glance from everyone in the room. "What? I'm just saying." He then stated in his own defence.

"Still, you really must be careful when you cast spells like that, Star. The consequences could be more disastrous for you or your friends." Moon spoke firmly, warning Star about the dangers of a cracked wand. "I know…but still, I'm lucky that the pandas didn't blow up in my mouth, that would've been-" Star began, only to barf up another panda which cut her off immediately. "Who were you trying to blast anyway?" Moon then asked gently, feeling that there was a reason that Star had cast the spell. "Glacia. You remember, Tom's older sister. We discovered she's now working for Ludo." Ponyhead explained.

It was there that Tom's parents, Dave and Wrathmelinor Lucitor, who were both there to attend the Hollow's Day celebration, looked at each other with horror. "Oh no…Glace, what have you gotten yourself into now?" Dave asked in concern. "No doubt. It was Krampus' doing. He's had a bad influence on her since she ran away from St. Olga's." Wrathmelinor spoke stressfully. "I knew she was bitter, but I never thought she'd do something like this." Tom admitted sadly as he rubbed his arm. "Anyway, she and Ludo's other goons were there to find the entrance to somewhere, but I'm not sure where." Marco then explained gently.

"Anyway, the main reason for Star's condition, she called Kelly a…well, I don't know what it actually meant to be honest, but it sounded bad." Marco explained, telling the real reason for why Star cast that spell, but couldn't remember the insult that Glacia had used on Kelly. The teenage woolett then sniffed sadly and even let a few tears run down her face before she spoke out loud. "She called me a repetitive fool." She responded sadly, much to everyone's absolute shock. "She did not!" Dave spoke in disgust.

"W-Wait, I don't understand. What's a repetitive fool?" Marco asked in confusion, and to his shock, he got his answer. "It means someone who always follows a culture, just like mine always follows fighting. A Repetitive Fool's a really horrible name for anyone who follows a culture, tradition or an arranged marriage…like how I follow my culture all the time." Kelly explained sadly, allowing her tears to flow freely despite not holding them back. "Woah…that's awful." Marco said with shock as Star barfed out one last panda from her mouth. "Even more awful than throwing up pandas from your mouth." She admitted after one last cough.

Kelly then began sobbing because of that insult, right before Tad came over to her without any hesitation. "Hey…it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about you. Nobody will ever be a better fighter than you. C'mere you." He said soothingly before hugging his own girlfriend. Star and Marco were glad those two got on, but everyone else…they were more or less stressed about the current situation at hand. "Well this is just perfect. We're only here one day, setting up for Hollow's Day celebration with nothing to fear, and then this news comes out of nowhere! My daughter joined that old bird and who knows what else?!" Dave exclaimed.

Wrathmelinor couldn't blame her husband for being this way, he was heartbroken over his daughter's betrayal despite his wife's attempts to calm him down. "Well, it's a good thing that I arrived just in time, isn't it?" Another voice spoke, sounding unfamiliar. Everyone then looked towards the voice's source and saw an elderly mewman. He looked to be taller than Rhombulus, had a silverish-white short beard and hair with the same color, wore what looked to be platinum armor with the mewman emblem on one of his shoulderplates and had what looked to be an empty scabbard on his belt which looked like it used to hold a sword.

"Hello, Moon. It's certainly been some time." The elderly knight spoke with a jolly tone in his voice. "Father, I'm glad you came. Oh, it's been so long since I've heard from you. I had doubts that you would even show up at all." Moon spoke, glad to see her father for the first time in so many years as she hugged the old knight. "I was going to turn down the offer, but now I'm glad that I didn't, especially since it's been 300 years already since Eclipsa's defeat." He said before turning towards River. "Arthur, Corn of Mewni, it's so good to hear from you again." River then said, shaking the knight's, or rather, Arthur's hand without hesitation.

"Heh, same to you, River." Arthur spoke with a chuckle. He was also bombarded by Hekapoo, Rhombulus and Omnitraxus, who were all eager to see him. "Arthur, wow, you've gotten a lot older, but you haven't lost your jolly senses at all." Omnitraxus said with amazement. "Yeah, we haven't seen you since your daughter became Queen of Mewni." Rhombulus spoke, partly he was glad that Arthur had returned, but all of this talk had confused Star and Marco, who both looked at each other in confusion before they spoke up.

"Uh, excuse me. Sorry to interrupt, but who's this?" Star then asked, wanting to know who the elderly knight was before everyone turned their attention to her. "Star, this is your grandfather on your mother's side, Arthur Butterfly. He's the founder of an order called the Knights of the Grand Oak, and King of Mewni before I was. It's also because of him that I became a part of his royal guards." River explained to his daughter, telling her all about her grandfather with amazement, there was a bit of confusion, but Star soon understood what her father was trying to say.

Taking notice to his granddaughter, Arthur walked over to Star and knelt down to her height to get a bit of a look at her. "Hello Star, you may not remember me at all…Of course, you were only a newborn back then." He spoke gently after noticing Star's cheekmarks being the same as his daughter's old wand. "H-Hi…Grandpa." Star then said awkwardly.

"Moon mentioned that you were a cute little troublemaker in one of her letters, but I honestly never thought it was true until a few more letters afterward." Arthur said with a chuckle. "Yeah, funny thing really. How come I've never seen you in my life until now?" Star then asked in confusion towards her own Mother. "Well, your grandfather had left Mewni to travel the world while you were still young. But we would keep in contact with carrier birds." Moon explained gently.

"Ohhh you should've read 'em, the guy was a legend. Even though he's suffered through pain, he was always the best of us. Even when he was young, his skills with a sword and determination had amazed Glossaryck." Rhombulus spoke with excitement. "Yeah, and honestly, we're glad to have you back, Arthur." Hekapoo then added with a sigh of absolute relief. Hearing Glossaryck's name, however, Arthur realised something. "Hold on…where is Glossaryck? And why isn't Lekmet amongst us?" He asked, not knowing the events of the past two months and beyond.

A look of dread had befallen Moon as she looked at her own Father. "Glossaryck's…been missing for more than two months. He was taken by Ludo and we thought he was gone for good. Then Chancellor Lekmet is gone…he used too much of his powers to save us from Toffee's powers…even if that did cost him his own life." She explained, not denying anything that happened whilst Arthur was still travelling. "And if it makes you feel better, you can blame Star's friend, aka, that kid over there." Hekapoo said said, gesturing Marco jokingly much to his annoyance.

"Hekapoo, enough of that! Hasn't Marco had enough of your harsh treatment?" Moon spoke harshfully towards Hekapoo. "Aye, Hekapoo. I did warn Lekmet not to use too much of his power in a fight. But in Marco's defense, for the mistake you claimed that he caused, nobody can predict the future. The main thing is that we all learn from our mistakes if we do make any, mistakes don't make you a bad person." Arthur said with reassurance. "Ugh, I hate it when you use those words of wisdom against me, Artie." Hekapoo groaned despite her hidden snicker.

"But I've known Toffee the longest, so you all shouldn't have taken him on in that fight without telling me first. Stars above, it's almost like…when…" Arthur then spoke after turning towards the rest of the High Commission with a cross attitude before he suddenly stopped after remembering the last time Toffee had done something to him. "Arthur, it wasn't your fault. What happened to mother that day." Moon then said, gently making her way over to her father, but also confusing her daughter at the same time. "Uh, who's Comet? Or was it something that Toffee did to-" She began, only to stop when she frightened her mother.

"Comet was your grandmother, Star. My mother." Moon spoke gently, not denying anything while trying not to cry at the same time. "Oh right, I remember now." Star said with realisation filling her head. "Wait, Star has a grandma? Well how come we've never seen her?" Marco then asked in surprise. "It's because she's gone…" Arthur then spoke softly, getting to his feet after a moment of sadness. "Man, she was the best of all the queens. I even loved the way she cooked for all her kingdom." Rhombulus pointed out sadly.

"Woah, sorry. I never…" Marco began apologetically, only to be stopped by Arthur. "Do not worry, lad. Death is what gives life meaning…even if it is unpleasant." He said with quite a bit of an optimistic smile as he released his own daughter from his hug after she had calmed herself down. "Besides…it's all in the past now, and the present is what's important." Moon then spoke with a calm manner.

"I have to say, Star, you and Marco make a nice young couple together." Arthur said as a complement, pointing out Star's possible love interest without realising that he had immediately embarrassed the two kids. "What?! No, no no, you've got the wrong idea." "Huh?! Er, I don't think that's true about the two of us." They both said in denial before looking at each other and blushing furiously. All the while, Kelly and Tom snickered at the two denying their own crushes on each other.

The teenage Woolett was then noticed by Arthur, who somewhat recognised her and even grabbed Moon's attention too. "Oh, that's right, I almost forgot. This is one of Star's friends, Kelly. I'm told she saved her from falling to her doom in a flying van." She explained to her father, who was somewhat surprised when he saw the young teenage Woolett. "Kelly? As in Wilden's granddaughter?" He asked in somewhat surprise. "She's related to one of your old allies? Well…I suppose you won't have any problem with rewarding her?" Moon then said, realising that she was related to one of Arthur's old friends.

"Aye, there won't be a problem, Moon." Arthur said with a jolly chuckle before Moon nodded and left the two of them be, walking over to Star and Marco to request something. "Well, it's been some time since I last saw you, Arthur." Kelly spoke with a slight smile. "It sure has been, lass. Plus, I've been meaning to repay you after that favour you did a few years back." Arthur said, speaking to Kelly as if for the first time in years. "Cool. Amyway, I was wondering…my grandpa was one of your knights and…I was wondering if I could be a Knight and follow in his footsteps?" She requested, trying to stay calm as best as she could.

"Well…I suppose I can teach you a few things about being on, Kelly, just to give you a nudge in the right direction." Arthur said with approval, making Kelly pretty much excited, and even Tad was happy for her as well. "Also…I'm sorry about what happened to him. He was certainly the most tenacious of all the knights." Arthur spoke, his voice suddenly sounding sad at the mention of Kelly's grandfather. "It's ok…it's just how life is, right?" Kelly then said as she wiped a few brief tears away. "Aye, and I'm sure he wouldn't be sad, right?" Arthur then said, kneeling down to Kelly's height as she nodded.

Star and Marco, meanwhile, were both watching Kelly and Arthur speaking to each other as if they knew each other. "Well, she sure looks happy to see my grandfather. Maybe we could ask her about her grandfather sometime soon?" Star suggested. Marco agreed, before being brought back to River's conversation. "Anyway, how about I organise a day of fun for you and your friends for tomorrow?" He suggested secretly, exciting his daughter to the max. "Wow…thanks, I'll be sure to repay you for this." Marco then said with amazement. River insisted that no thanks were necessary, but Marco decided to anyway.

After that pleasant talk, the gang then left, trying to figure out what else to write for their story for Andante Inferno while oblivious to Miss Heinous and her banished minions, peeping in from the window. "Ohhh great! As if that princess outsmarting us wasn't bad enough, now there's Moon's father, Arthur, here in London!" Miss Heinous growled in annoyance. "Rumor has it that Arthur has a powerful sword which is capable of exposing secrets or something." Gemini then pointed out with quite a bit of concern.

"I know that, Gemini! Everyone knows the story of King Butterfly and his beloved wife, Comet Butterfly. Now stop telling me stories and find a way to get revenge on those who hurt my reputation!" Miss Heinous spat back at her assistant before turning towards Rasticore. "That's not gonna be enough if you plan to take revenge." Rasticore then pointed out with a serious tone in his voice.

"Well what would you suggest then? Anyone, just tell me right now, how do we take on the Butterflies?" Miss Heinous then asked, open to any suggestions that her fellow minions may have. "Well…there's someone whose plans are fairly similar to yours." Rasticore then suggested with a smirk, even gaining Miss Heinous' and Baby's eager attention too. "Oh? Do tell…" Miss Heinous spoke with eagerness in her tone, about to take a path that would change her perspective on everything.

Meanwhile with Jackie…

She, along with a few other skateboarders had met up in Regent's Park for the skateboarding championship practice. They were currently being coached by their leader, a sixteen year old kid called Skylar 'Geno' Flagg. "Right, is everyone here?" He asked, counting off most of the team members. "Heidi? Mack? Jackie? Toby? Alan? Molly? Roman? Tiana?" He said, doing a roll call of all members who raised their hand to show that they were currently present. "Alright, listen up. And you two, Roman, I can't have you sleeping through this again." Skylar spoke, pointing out Roman, who was woken up by Heidi after gradually falling asleep before things got started.

"The tournament finale is upon us. While it's simple to know about, it's VERY complicated to accomplish. Each of the final three teams has 9 members, who will be performing in the three final competitions against each other." He explained to his team, preparing to tell them about the important parts. "The three competitions are these: Skills, where we'll show off the best skills to the judges, a timed course, where we'll be competing in a race against the clock to show how fast they are, and finally, the last competition is Capture the Flag." Skylar explained, speaking about the first two competition parts.

"Now the last competition is the most important, and might I say, greatest part of the whole championship's finale. We'll be racing against each other in order to capture the flag. But remember this, if one of us has the flag and crosses the line with it wins the whole team the competition. Everyone got that so far?" Skylar explained before asking if everyone understood everything.

Everyone, apart from Roman, who nodded off, agreed with him. "I-I guess so…" Jackie then managed to say, feeling a bit nervous with the finale drawing near. "Right, let's head over to the skating area for practice. We need all the time we can get to improve our skills and plan out the three parts before the championship comes." Skylar then said, leading his own group towards the skateboarding part of the park. All the while during the time she was with the group, Jackie tried not to let her own bad thoughts get the better of her whilst practicing.

Later that evening…

Jackie was on her way back to the hotel after a long day of practicing for the skateboard championship finals, but when she got halfway there, she felt a bit sad, but didn't let it get to her at that time. She had thoughts about Star and Marco, how Star was the one girl that kept Marco going, how they were inseparable, how well they fought monsters together, and more importantly…how well they got along with each other. All of which Jackie wasn't able to share with Marco, in fact…there was more to it than what Marco and her said after two months.

Flashback:

During the months that Star wasn't on Earth anymore, Jackie and Marco had eventually broken up after one final date, but it was on good terms. In truth, Jackie knew that Star was the only thing that kept Marco going. Despite Marco insisting that she was his crush, she knew that it wasn't true. After getting over his depression, Marco knew Jackie was right. And since then, he decided to visit Star, only to be chased away because the guards thought he was an imposter thanks to Moon's paranoia.

But when he and the others found out about Toffee being alive and Miss Heinous trying to claim Star, that's when Jackie decided to step in and help, after she came back from abroad in europe of course. Sure, she didn't know half the things that Marco and her were always into, but she wanted to help either way. She wanted Marco to be happy with her, even if it meant risking getting grounded by her own mother and taking her own sister's van, which she modified with the help of Janna and Tom too.

Flashback ends

Stopping briefly to sit on a nearby bench, Jackie began feeling guilty, not just about being one of the reasons that Star lost her book of spells, but also…because she lost someone she had a crush on. She knew she would eventually have to tell her about it, but with her current situation of finding her sister's van and her championship finale coming up, she was in over her head with stress…and she didn't know how she was going to survive this amount…

Star's POV:

'Story briefly stops and Star appears'

Hi. Hello there.

A few seconds if you don't mind.

My family's past is the main focus of this movie, even though I'm the main STAR of the whole show, remember? 'Turns her wand into a fountain pen'

This story's about me, Marco and Kelly 'Draws herself, Marco and Kelly', not her. 'Crosses out Jackie'

'Turns the pen back into her wand' Ok, you got it, guys?

Alright, we're gonna continue the story, sorry to keep you waiting.

'Leaves for a second before returning to draw on Jackie'

Hehehehe…whoopsie… 'Leaves and the story continues'

Jackie, after shaking her head firmly, then continued her ride back to the hotel. No, there was no way she could think like that. She could do it, she had her friends to help her out, so thinking that way wouldn't be an option to her. Besides, it was her first day after all, and it was only the beginning of the trip, so she still had a chance. She had almost reached the place, however on the way back, she nearly bumped into someone. Thankfully, she had managed to swerve around the person as best as she could, but as a consequence, she ended up falling off.

She didn't have many injuries, but that fall looked quite painful. "Oh my goodness me, darling are you alright?" The lady asked with concern, immediately deciding to help Jackie to her feet after seeing her fall. "Y-Yeah, I'm ok. Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going…" The teenage skateboarder said sheepishly as she collected her skateboard. "Well no worries, as long as you don't do it again in the future, you'll be fine." The lady then said confidently. Jackie was about to take off, however…she looked at the lady and saw that she had raspberry red spade-shaped cheek marks.

"Oh, nice cheek marks." She said, complementing the woman who helped her up. "Oh, thank you dear. Also, where is it that you're heading?" The lady said before curiously asking where Jackie was off to. "Um, just back to my home where my…parents are." Jackie said, lying just to make sure the woman didn't know where she was. "Well whatever the case, you'd better get back home. There are monsters, like Toffee, out and about in London, and you'd better stay safe too from them." She said, and Jackie was almost about to leave…but then she heard about the lady mentioning Toffee.

"Wait, are you, by any chance, related to my friend, Star Butterfly?" She then asked after realising that the lady somehow knew about Toffee while turning around. This in turn, caused the lady to then look at her in shock, looking from one place to another. "Oh dear…um. Did I really just say that out loud?" The woman asked, sheepishly. "Well, it's just…ohh I will regret this. Mind Eraser, pew pew!" She said in a panic, unable to explain anything before doing a finger gun gesture with her left hand and pointing it at Jackie, causing it to glow a bright purple colour in the process. "No wait, who are-" Jackie began, but never got to finish when she was hit with that bright light…then everything went dark after that.

A while later…

Jackie woke up to the sounds of someone trying to wake her up. "Jaaaackie…? Jackie…? JACKIE!" Star's voice spoke as her eyes fluttered open. It was there that she saw Star before her loud voice completely woke her up. Jackie then saw that Star and Marco were there with relieved looks on their faces. "Ugh…what happened?" She asked, sitting up and rubbing the back of her head. "Oh good, you're awake. Anyway, to answer your sudden question, Mr. Inferno found you unconscious on the street and brought you back to the hotel." Marco explained, gesturing Andante Inferno, who was sitting beside her.

"You'ré wélcome by le wai." Andante then spoke before walking off to talk with some of the faculty from Echo Creek. "Speaking of which, how'd you faint in the middle of the streets?" Marco then "I…I don't remember. One minute I was skating home, then the next I fell off my skateboard and…I can't remember what happened next." Jackie said, unable to remember what happened after she fell off the skateboard. "Hmm…well no worries, at least you're safe and sound now." Star said, hugging her friend for comfort.

After getting to her feet once she got the feeling back, Jackie was able to head back upstairs to her hotel room where she was greeted by the others, who were somewhat worried about where she was. Jackie passed it off, saying that it was nothing, but somehow Tom knew otherwise but kept it to himself. And eventually, the gang decided to hit the hay, especially after what happened with Glacia and her monstrous henchmen earlier, it was all too much to think about, plus it would keep them awake for the rest of the night.

Being the only one to stay awake at night, Marco looked at his gift while thinking about Star. He wanted desperately to give her the gift, but was afraid she'd get annoyed with him that he'd try to go after her like Tom had tried to do on many occasions. But one way or another, Marco had somewhat developed a crush on her, he also wanted to make it up to her for being one of the reasons that she was forced to leave for Mewni. It's one of the reasons why his parents decided to help Marco by giving him a gift to give to Star. (3)

"Still worried about when to give Star the necklace?" Kelly asked, taking Marco by surprise when he saw that she too was still awake. "Don't do that Kelly, you nearly scared me to death there." Marco whispered as he covered his heart. "Anyway…No, not really. I just don't want to give Star the wrong impression, like I'm after her affections like Tom was…don't tell him I said that, please don't tell him I said that." Marco admitted sheepishly. Star on the other hand, heard the whole thing, and she was still awake to hear it all, even Tom was, but they didn't let either Kelly or Maro know that they were awake.

"Marco…I know I don't know that much between you or Star, but I do know this, Star knows you like her. I don't think she'd want to leave Mewni if she didn't like you in return." Kelly pointed out, and she wasn't wrong about that. "So…what should I do?" Marco asked, unsure on how to make his next move with Star. "Why not give it to her tomorrow? Why not show her a few things people do in the city and then give it to her after today?" Kelly then suggested. "Well, ok, I'll give it a try." Marco said with approval, oblivious to Star smiling at that idea behind his back.

After a while, the two fell asleep after Marco thought Kelly's idea was a pretty good one for tomorrow morning. But once they were asleep however…Star's wand began glowing green slightly, casting the shadow of Toffee with dark green eyes. "Ah…Star and her friend Marco. My old enemies…" The shadow spoke in a raspy whisper, looking down upon the two teens before casting his attention towards Kelly, who was currently sleeping peacefully, almost like he knew about her since she was younger. "Ah… but Kelly, it's been a very long time, hasn't it? You were only a little toddler back then." He then spoke, casting his hand over her.

"A princess wanting to stay on Earth, a boy who can't forget his consequences…and a Woolett wanting to prove herself. Two of you thought you've defeated me, but you haven't stopped anything…You'll soon see for yourselves, but first…how about a little nightmare as a warning to you?" The shadow of Toffee spoke before somehow making Star's wand affect the trio's minds gradually. And within a matter of moments, Star, Marco and Kelly began feeling uncomfortable.

(1) I wonder who this could be?

(2) This will mean something important.

(3) The gift thing will become something important for Starco in the next chapter

Anyways that's it for this chapter.

Stay tuned for the next one and comment on what you think about it ^^.

For now though, Negaboss2000 out.
