Elsa gasped. Gretel was being stubborn with her. It had been one week already that they had arrived at the Southern Isles. And everything Elsa had learned about parenting through books ended up being a lie. She didn't know if it had been all those years she neglected her daughter, but dealing with her own child was the hardest thing she had ever done.
She was far from home, aside everything else, and she did not feel at ease. Which did not help her situation, she had hardly seen Hans, he was too busy in the royal court, as he had regained his status. Which meant she was alone now, with a Gretel who currently had her back turned towards her, her arms crossed, and refusing to negotiate.
"Gretel, I can help you control your powers. Please trust me." Elsa smiled towards the small girls back.
"I will never trust a woman who tried to kill my papa." Gretel suddenly faced her, "even if you are my 'mother'."
Elsa closed her eyes and placed her hand on her chest. "I never hurt your father-"
The young girls eyes were now towards her, her brows furrowed with rage. Elsa had never seen so much hatred coming from the eyes of a child.
Frost covered the ground suddenly and Elsa looked at her child. Her emotions influenced her powers. "Gretel... listen, there are things... things that you don't know about."
"Your father and I-"
There was a masculine voice who stopped her from going on, "are very much in love."
The two girls turned towards the sound, and in came the elegant prince of the Southern Isles. Prince Hans himself. He was wearing his royal suit, in a dark blue tone. Admiral Hans stood before the two. "I'm glad to see the two of you getting along." There was a chuckle deep in his throat, and he began walking in towards them with his hands behind his back.
The child's eyes watered suddenly, a big gasp escaped her lips and she ran towards him with tears in her eyes.
"Why did you bring her back with us? Why are you in love with such an evil woman?"
Hans furrowed his brows. "Gretel." He looked at her dissatisfied. "She's your mother, have some respect."
Gretel let go of him suddenly and ran across the room into the hallway of the castle, an angry expression on her face.
"It's not going to be easy, Elsa. For the longest time it was just her and I, just give her some time." Hans shook his head and blinked a few times before going after his daughter.
He knew it was going to take a great length of not just time, but also effort for her to accept Elsa. Especially after everything that happened. After all the things his daughter had seen Elsa do.
The Queen stood there in silence listening to her husband's echoing footsteps walk away from her. She did not know how much longer she could handle the emptiness. She took in a deep sigh and walked after the two them.
"How do you do it, Anna?"

"Where is the queen when she is needed!?" The council sat around the table pouncing on Anna as the news of a psychotic band of pirates circled Arendellian waters.
"What are we going to do!?" Gordon shifted his yellowing eyes towards the princess, "they've threatened to burn down the town!"
Anna looked at every single one of the council and her eyes lingered on her military leader. "Can't we just try to negotiate with them?" She shrugged her shoulders, looking slightly ridiculous as she said those words.
"This is not a game princess Anna. Do you know who is rumored to be routing Arendelles waters?" There was a serious tone with Guineveres question.
"It's none other than Edward James Kenway, right hand to Blackbeard himself."
There was tension in the room, and Anna stayed motionless, she had no clue who that was, with a worried expression she looked around. "And he's dangerous?"
The whole council went wild again.

Gretel held onto a small blanket as she lay on her grandmother's lap, the woman was reading to her, one of the stories she enjoyed the most, a far away land, with daring sword fights, and a prince, who fought bravely against the evil queen, to save his beautiful princess.
"Why has papa chosen Elsa, as his wife?"
Queen History suddenly quieted from reading and settled the book down on her side. She was sitting in Gretels bed, with the child laying calmly on her lap. "Because he's in love, my sweet."
"Why?" Her big blue eyes look towards her grandmother.
"I don't know child, these things simply happen."
"No they don't." Gretel sat up from her grandmother's lap. "I don't want her here."
History hushed her quickly. "No matter what she's done, Gretel she's your mother, and a respectable Queen." Her tone suddenly softened. "You will come along to loving her."

"If this is true princess Anna, the whole kingdome will go down in flames! We must contact Queen Elsa at once, she must find a way to get here as soon as possible!" Faustino paced back and forth in the hallway. He could not believe along with the rest of the members, how lightly the princess had taken the horrible news.
Edward James Kenway the Welsh pirate was surrounding their waters. It was dangerous as it was fascinating, he would never circle so close to land. And much less navigate through the dangerous waters bording Arendelle and The Southern Isles vicious fleets. Something must have caught his attention, or he was sent to assassinate an important noble.
"Do you think rumors have gone around that we are queen less?" There was a shudder in his voice, and the busty Guinevere fanned herself. Felipe swallowed hard, those three most anxious ones, had spoken words to the worst of people. They had sold out some clandestine goods from Arendells treasures. They relied their lives fully on the queens powers against any threat, they knew that saying the right words would convince the quee about anything.
"She is not here, but that does not mean they know."

Elsa crossed her arms, an anxious look sat on her face, the Southern Isles king and queen celebrated 40 years of being happily married.
There was a huge ball being hosted, and Elsa felt out of place in such a situation. Hans was nowhere to be seen, and most of the Southern Isles trading partners were foreign to Elsa. Much of them were from farther south than she was accustomed to.
There was one particular kingdom that caught her attention. The kingdom of Tamriel. Whose queen had curly long hair and soft beautiful eyes, and a king as stern and mature as his governmets name felt.
Was this the woman Hans had once written to her about?
Elsa placed her hands in front of her as she stood to the side as regal as she could. Most royals acknowledged her, but few knew that she was wedded to the prince that tried to kill her himself. It appeared that the Southern Isles, wanted everything to be as confidential as she had once wanted it to be.
"Queen Elsa, hello, it is a pleasure to finally set eyes on such a woman." There was a voice right behind her, and the blond woman smiled as kindly as she was trained and turned. She came face to face with a tall blonde man, the very heir to the throne of Waldstatten. "I am Prince Noah, of Waldstatten. It's a pleasure to finally set my eyes on such a beautiful Queen." Elsa blushed suddenly, she cleared her throat and regained herself.
"Hello prince Noah, the pleasure is all mine."
"If you don't mind the question, what are you doing in Southern Isles territory?" He furrowed his blonde brows, his baby blue eyes questioning the queen, "up to what we all know, Arendelle considered the Isles traitorous. Am I wrong?"
Elsa closed her eyes, "I'm afraid that that is a much tooof a personal question, about Arendelle."
Prince Noah smiled softly. "I see." He shifted into a comfortable position, "then those rumors were a lie. You hear all types of things nowadays."
Elsa's eyes fixated across the room, where her husband stood formally, speaking rather comfortably with the queen of Tamriel.
She blushed suddenly and turned her attention back towards the prince who stood by her. "Excuse me? Do you happen to know the Queen of Tamriel?" She gently smiled and motioned with her eyes to her husband and said woman.
"Queen Katrina?" Noah chuckled the slightest, "I see she's going down memory lane."
"Excuse me?" The regal Queen blinked.
"Queen Katrina was rumored to be prince Hans long time lover. In fact they had been engaged. But she decided to leave the Prince for someone who could offer her kingdom a better chance. She chose her stability over love." He chuckled. "Smart girl."
"She was Prince Hans, lover?" Elsa reddened suddenly. "How long ago was this?"
"About 9 years ago, queen Elsa. Does this matter in any way to you?" Noah furrowed his brows and looked down T the queen, she was such a petite woman, that he could not believe the rumors that circled the woman. Such a dangerous thing she was.
"Thank you." She began to walk away, when she felt the man grasp at her arm, "before you go your highness, will you please share a dance with me?"
Elsa closed her eyes, her brows furrowed in rage, "I really can't, please understand." But the man insisted, he wanted to know more about her, if it was true she had been gifted by the spirits themselves.
"Please, my queen, only one and I will leave you be for the rest of the night, unless you ask otherwise." Elsa looked around at the crowd. The music was loud and there was dancing and swearing all at the same time. But what was worse than anything else, was the fact that he'd husband was now swaying away at the dancefloor, with his old lover.
Tears threatened her eyes but she couldn't be disrespectful towards the prince that asked her to dance now. "Only one dance."
