Time Period: A Flashback
Situation: The Miscarriage
Brandon's p.o.v
My friends and I have decided to meet up at The Peach Pit. The first trimester of pregnancy has
been tough on Charley. She has decided to stay home with our kids. She didn't want to hold
me back. Anyhow, my cellphone keeps on ringing nonstop. I answer my cellphone and a nurse
informs me that Charley has been admitted into the hospital. I make a mad dash over there.
I am granted immediate access to my wife. Livid, Dylan blocks the entrance to her room.
"Charlotte needs me. Please let me see her" I request nicely. "You chose your friends over
my cousin. She had a miscarriage and you weren't there for her. I want you to leave her
alone" he vents. "Charlotte knew I was with my friends. She decided to stay home. I never
knew she had a miscarriage" I explain. Dylan shows me mercy. An emergency D&C gives
Charlotte and me a brief opportunity to bond with the dead fetus. Although I didn't care
much for him, I take his loss hard.

Hitting way too close to home, a time when she woke him up and vice versa. Such a dramatic and traumatic eye-opening experience, karma, a real miscarriage of justice. A time when she woke him up and vice versa, it is ridiculous but necessary at the same time.
