"Take your time Elita," Optimus assured, placing a hand on her shoulder. "We have to the time."
Hestia turned to Jack, "You better be in human form for this. Just pull up that same feeling and you're back."
Jack, now Ultimus nodded and closed his eyes, shifting back as Jack after a few moments. He opened them and looked amazed. Hestia followed suit and they went up to the human seating area.
They took a seat and Jack braced himself for many answers for his questions. "We all know I was carrying when I was sent away in an escape pod," she began. "It was set in a way that it will head towards the furthest and safest place that had Energon, Earth."
"How did you became human then?" asked her son.
She had a soft smile faintly on her face. "You did this," she said.
"Me?" Jack asked confused.
"Yes," she said. "It was your gift from Primus. When I woke up after my stasis, I found that I was now human. Confused, since I was now organic. You on the other hand had another idea of thinking that it was time to come to the world."
Arc blinked. "So, you landed on Earth and went into labour?" she asked in awe.
"Yup. It was also the time I met the Ty and May Darby. They took me in and helped me bring Jack to this world. I was very confused, in pain and very tired that day."
"Mother of that year award goes to Elita," Arcee said.
"At least you two were safe," Optimus said in relief. "You have not yet explained how you and Jack became like this."
"Are you aware of the concept of a Legacy?"
"Indeed we are," Ratchet said. "Are you implying that Jack's Legacy allows you to transform to a human?"
"Yes," Elita confirmed. "But I don't know what is it for Arc."
"It's a minor version of Jack's due to my story," Arc said. Jack groaned and leaned back on the sofa.
"This is too much," Jack moaned. Elita shifted to June and went up to him. Arc exucused herself and left to the pantry to make drink for the mother and son.
"Jack," June said. "I'm sorry it had to be this way. I wanted you to ease into this. I didn't expect you to be dropped into this."
"It's all my fault mam," Smokescreen apologized. "I shouldn't have left them unattended out in the field."
She looked at the rookie sternly, "Optimus will find proper punishment for your disregard for safety," she reprimanded. "If weren't for their sudden transformation, they could've been dead. What if it was Miko or Raf instead of Jack?"
Optimus turned to Smokescreen. "AS you have disregarded the safety of our new and youngest members," Optimus began. "You will be relegated as escort duties for both Arc and my son for the next wed weeks. Learning human laws and traditions."
"Duly noted," Smokescreen said. Their attention turned back to Jack that groan form the headache forming.
"I'm a Cybertronian," Jack muttered to himself. "My mom crashed on Earth and had me. Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, is my dad. Then was told by Primus himself that I was a Prime. Can this day be any weirder?"
"Nothing tops planet Earth is Cybertron's version of the devil himself," Arc quipped as she came wit a pitcher of cold iced tea on a tray with cups.
Jack groaned. "Don't remind me."
"What about you?" Bulkhead asked. "What are you?"
Arc placed the tray and turned to face them. "To your surprise," she began "I was human at first. Harriet Arc Lira, eldest daughter of Dr. Roland Silas Lira and Wendy Mujan Wan-Lira."
She sat down on the armchair. "It all began when I was in Australia when my father was attending a geological conference. I was on a tour with my Uncle Burton in the Australian bush that I have strayed away from."
"So you pulled a Miko," June asked.
"If being a stray, then yes. I did. I saw something big and rusted. That thing I found was an ancient spacebridge generator. It wasn't from recent eras. It was from the Age of Primes. Placed here on earth to observe any development of Unicron after his defeat against Primus by the Prima," she began her story. "I activated it after being too nosy and touching many runes and glyphs on the giant contraption. An adventurous 13-year-old Arc didn't know she activated an alien wormhole machine. I activated it and made a spacebridge to Cybertron, or whatever remains of it. I was too busy choking of the alien air.
"What were you thinking?!" shouted the medic.
"I was discovering some ancient relic or something like my professor dad," she said with a reminiscing smile. "At that age, I went about the jungles looking for edible fruits and adventure to find interesting things. Now back to me chocking to death on Cybertron. The spacebridge attracted some attention since my saviour was the Decepticon scientist, Shockwave."
"Saviour?" Arcee asked.
Arc sighed. "A saviour in a way. He kept me alive, but he experimented on me. I guess he was bored as I seem to be his side project. He seem to be busy with this main project. I don't know what it was since I everything was so blurry and he was a purple and black giant mass that spoke something to me."
"What did he do to you?" Arcee stressed.
"I was strapped to something and had this glowing blue transferred into me."
"He was transfusing Energon into you?!" Ratchet asked in alarm.
"Yes it was. I have no say since I was drifting from awake and blacking out. By the time I was able to hear anything clearly, he was observing me. I remembered it clearly what he said that first time I hear him talk. 'Interesting. 40% of blood has been replaced with Energon and subject's body seems to be adapting to the replacement.' It was scary. "That is impossible," Ratchet said. "Energon is toxic to humans."
"I'm more worried of surviving from being a lab rat to a giant alien robot," Arc replied sharply. She cleared her throat and adjusted her sitting. "Everything was naked, numb, aching, cold, and have all my limbs restrained. The last thing on my mind is 'is this thing poisonous?'. I was fully conscious after he announced that I was pass 45% mark. 45% of my blood was replaced with Energon. I wasn't choking and I felt somewhat fine besides the numbness, cramps, and the sharp instruments he kept jabbing in me. On the upside, I never felt hunger, or thirst. First thing I asked was what has he done to me. He told me that he was transferring Energon laced with healing nanites, replacing my blood. He told me that I was adapting to it."
She shivered and began shaking. June walked up to comfort her. "You can stop now," June said, placing her arms around her. "You don't need to tell us everything today." Jack picked up a glass of tea ans gave it to her, and she thankfully took it. Arc tried to move it to her mouth but he hand shook too much and had to place it back to the table. Tears began to roll off her face.
"I'm sorry," she said. "I-I-I-I-I just….I just…" she groaned and place her head between her hand and started sniffling. June and Jack tired to calm her down. She began crying more as memories of her time with Shockwave came back to her.
"Cleary Shockwave have done horrific things to you," Ratchet said in sympathy. "I can't imagine the suffering you have been through. At such a young age as well."
"Primus was clearly merciful to you," Smokescreen said in pity. "What Shockwave have done to you, it was heartless."
Arc cried for nearly an hour until it slows down to hiccups. Several boxes of tissue and washed rags were spent to wipe her tears and snot. "Thanks," she said in a shaky voice. "And sorry for breaking down on you."
"It is alright," Optimus said. "With what you have experienced, it is very understandable that you have been traumatised by this. We are patient on hearing you out."
"I know you for a while Hestia," Jetfire said calmly. "Nothing can break you down this bad. Take your time, no need to rush your story."
"Thanks Jet," she told Jetfire. She took a breath and continued her tale. "Shockwave preformed many operations on me. A lot of them involve open surgery. He severed my nerves so I can't feel anything, but I can still talk as he operated on me. It was horrific as a 13-year-old having your organs described to you in horrific and scientific ways. I still remember him musing about my digestive system. 'How interesting, organic method of extracting energy from other organic matter as well as obtaining supplementary nutrients from non-organic sources.' I was basically that lab frog you dissect in biology class for Shockwave. It was like this for what I guess a few weeks, maybe months. Each organ and system take what seems to be a few days for him to study and put back somehow."
"That sounds like a horror movie," Jack said is fear. Arc let our an ironic chuckle.
"At least Frankenstein was already dead from the start," she said and continued. "I began having seizures after a while. I believe it was after him putting back my pancreas that I began to have them. In between my episodes, I hear him say I began developing a spark. Apparently, he kept increasing the Energon that was replacing my blood. By that time just reached 70% of my blood have been replaced with Energon."
She groaned and placed face in her hands. She took deep breaths, and she was the sniffled again. "I don't know what happened. I keep fading in and out. I realised that I was dead after never woke up."
She blew her nose on a rag. "There, there." June cooed, running her hand on Arc's back. She took time and composed herself again
"I thought everything was over once all was dark for too long," she continued shakily. "I had time to get sad about my family wondering about me and how much time had passed. That was a very depressing time. I was all sad thinking of my parents, siblings, aunts, and uncles worrying about me. Uncle Burton being yelled at by my parents."
"Is that how it feels like being dead," Smokescreen wondered. "Must be lonely." That made Arc laugh.
"It was. But later I had a 'meet your maker' kind of moment. But instead of whatever God humans have, it was Primus that greeted me. Overwhelming was an understatement if I have I explain how I felt. He was giant, like Optimus looks puny compared to him. When I met him, he was a this titanic gold, silver, and steel 'bot that looked down right majestic. But he seems to be deteriorating as the matte steel on him made me feel like that was rust on him."
Jetfire whistled. "Wow. First-hand account of Primus meeting someone. Not to discredit you Prime, but she's got the better story and description."
"It is always a grand honour of meeting the creator itself," Optimus said with a hint of a smile on his face. "I too felt the same when meeting him to receive the Matrix of Leadership."
"I met him too," Jack said. "He looked just like what you've just said. Gold and silver and everything.
"Two for two!" Bumblebee beeped. That lightened up the dour mood.
"It's not just him I me but Solus Prime too. I don't even know who she was, but I could tell that she was legendary somehow. Looking up you guys alone is something, I'll say. I was ready to go to any afterlife after meeting these two. Never have I ever expected Primus, Cybertron's God to say sorry."
Static was heard from Jetfire and Ratchet, and they passed out on the floor. Every Autobot was frozen, including June. Jack was the one with the least trouble processing this information.
"Wow," he said. "Never expect God himself to apologize."
"To be fair, I wasn't one of his to begin. I was forced to become a Cybertronian against my will. He seems to take sympathy for me and Solus took me as her heir. Hence, making Hestia Prime."
After that statement, everyone seem to come back from being frozen. Ratchet came back online with Bumblebee and Smokescreen helping the medic up.
"I'm sorry but did you just say that our Creator apologized to you?" Ratchet asked groggily.
"I did," she confirmed.
"She did," Jack echoed her.
"What and why?" Arcee asked.
"I wasn't one of his to begin. I was forced to become a Cybertronian against my will." She repeated. "He seems to take sympathy for me and Solus took me as her heir. Hence, making Hestia Prime."
Jetfire groaned. "I know you really love stories Hestia but that's one heck of a climax."
She laughed. "You got that right," she said. "Primus strengthened my newly created spark and Solus formed my new body. She gave me one of her relics she cherished, the Creation Lithe. Too mention that she will be in my head for a few years to guide me, becoming a second mother of sorts. She's still in my head, albeit only meeting when I'm asleep or unconscious. Jack her got lucky that you are here physically to teach him, Optimus. I get a second mom in my head, and both agree with each other."
"Wish I can do that," June wondered.
"I already have you and Arcee worry about me," Jack groaned. "Now I have Optimus as my dad. I fine." Both June and Arcee rolled their eyes at this.
"I woke back up to the realm of the living in a protoform. Still as Shockwave's backburner project. Shockwave came to check up on me since I was still a project of his. I made my escape, but I was chased by his pet giant drilling worm."
"Giant drilling worm?" Arcee asked in shock.
"I don't know where that came from. I just woke up from being dead," she shrugged. "I escaped and managed to get away from him and that giant worm. I managed the to kill it by fixing a fusion cannon, with Solus's help."
"How did you manage to return back to Earth?" Optimus asked.
"By fixing a dead spacebridge. Solus help guide me through fixing it and allowing to communicate with the ancient one that took me to the same location as where I left. Once I came to Earth, I arrived at the same spot I left but I had someone waiting for me. That 'bot was Ironhide. He was investigating the spacebridge signature in the area and found me. He and Chromia took helped me out. I told them the same thing I told you and the same thing happened where Ironhide and Chromia glitched and froze in place while their son, Blackblast was having a fun time laughing in their faces."
"Chromia is here?!" Arcee and Elita asked.
"Yes, she and Ironhide are in keeping it low as they too had Blackblast here on Earth as a sparkling. The medic they had in hand was Triage. Chromia told me that Ironhide was forcefully restained to keep him from disturbing Triage helping her give birth to Blackblast. He is the same age as us Jack, he's 16 too and at the same rate as us. Chromia called it a blessing and a curse."
"Why's that?" Jack asked.
"At your age Jack," Ratchet said. "You would be the Cybertronian equivalent of a toddler, barely even. It seems like Primus has modified the aging of those born on Earth. They would require more Energon to accommodate their rapid growth."
"Well, they live in an area with an underground Energon deposit," Arc said. "Don't worry much about Energon for them, they have plenty. Even Warpath and Triage go over to them to hang out and stock some Energon when they're in the Pacific. When I stayed with them, they thought me a everything a new Cybertronian would. When I discovered I can shift to become human, it was exhilarating."
"So how long were you on Cybertron then?" June asked.
"I went missing on June and came back on November. About 5 months. Been back for 3 weeks at this point. The family hosting Ironhide, the Bowicks manage to get into contact with my family in Borneo after got used to being human again. Everyone rushed to Australia to meet me. Even Great Grandfather Edmund came running, albeit swinging his cane at me for being missing for his 98th birthday."
Jack laughed. "That would be funny."
"You try being hit with a 36 inch mahogany cane by a World War 2 veteran and then talk to me," she bit back.
"Did you told them of your current situation?" Optimus asked.
"Well, they were shocked. Well, everyone but the near Grant Grandfather Edmund. He laughed with joy."
That caught the Autobots off-guard. "Why would he be happy?" Bulkhead asked.
"He is Lord Edmund Burton, Earl of Folgan, former Captain of Her Majesty's Navy. He is the had of the Burton family that I had said. My father is his grandson from his daughter that married a Spaniard. The Uncle Burton I said was Russel Burton, his Australian grandson."
"Wow," Smokescreen then whistled. "You come from a family that knew us. That's cool."
Arc shook her head. "That information was only passed between the head of the family. That would only be Uncle Wilson. All archived information of anything Cybertronian was kept in the family underground library. So, those who joined us that day found out the family secret and me being home-schooled by Perceptor for 2 years until Unicron reared his ugly head and made my evil counterpart, Mimas."
"What kind of name is that?" Jack asked.
"We clashed the day Unicron rose," she said. "This war was convenient enough for them to use the remains of dead Cybertronians for him to use them to make his own creations. He made 3 Dark Primes to counter any Prime that is on him. You, me and, now Ultimus. That's where we end my tale for now."
"I was not a Prime to start with!" Jack argued.
"The fact that the Key of Vector Sigma accepted you easily was proof enough," Optimus said with confidence, and then a frown was on his face. "I thought I can keep you and your mother safe but I brought the war to you once more." The Prime kneeled to meet the eyes of his son. "Will you forgive me? For everything that I have wronged you Ultimus? Jack?"
Jack looked at the ground and took a deep breath. "I'll think this out," he said. "Everything that just happened. It was all a trainwreck and a car crash happening at the same time. I need time to process."
"Since you're out on escort duty," Arc said. "You are taking me and Jack for a long drive. Can we?"
Optimus nodded. Smokescreen transformed and opened both doors. "Come on in," he invited.
"I'm taking the driver's seat," Arc said. "You sir, need a long drive to take this all in. We can keep quiet."
Jack sighed. "Sure," he agreed. "Let's go. We'll call once we're okay."
