Allright all, got this chapter done earlier than I expected so here ya go hope you enjoy it, ALSO it has been briught to my attention that I didn't state this at the start of the "Wave Arc" the pronouns for Haku flip between he/she based on whose persepctive the narration is in, if it's in Haku's or Zabuza's then the pronoun for Haku is she, and if it's literally ANYBODY else it's he. Sorry for the confusion.
So in the last chapter Naruto lost his cool and in this one I promise he'll completely snap! But see for yourself and enioy

Chapter 21 - The Darker the Shadow Cast
It was the sound of something breaking that woke Naruto up. "MOM!" He heard Inari yell. He bolted up and snuck out of his room. He saw two familiar-looking goons forcing their way into the house.
"Now, come quietly, and we may not hurt the kid!"
"No, I won't let you hurt her!" Inari stood in front of the fallen Tsunami, holding a knife.
Both goons looked at him and then each other and laughed, putting their hands on their blades' handle. "Oh, isn't that adorable-URGh! ""
The first one keeled over, clutching his stomach as Naruto appeared in between them. The second one didn't have a moment to react as Naruto's foot planted itself firmly in his face, knocking him out. He looked back at the first one pulling his sword out of its sheath. "Okay, buddy, you take your friend here and leave, or both of you are leaving in pieces in a trash bag." The one still conscious didn't bother thinking of attacking, he grabbed his friend and ran, and Naruto turned to Inari, looking at Naruto with awe.
"Not bad kid, not bad at all. Remember, heroes, are always fashionably late. I'm guessing my team is with Tazuna at the bridge?" He asked Tsunami, helping her to her feet.
"Ye-yeah. Th-thank you Naruto-Kun."
"Not a problem" he made two clones "guard these two if Gato sends any more idiots. I'm going now!" He ran out the door worry on his face. Those two weren't supposed to be here for another week.
"Well considering Kakashi didn't cripple Zabuza, or in this case Kurenai and the Inuzuka who fled instead of being hurt he and Gato didn't have any reason to wait around this time."
'Damn, picked a bad time to take a nap. Is that foreign chakra still in my system?'
"There's some left, but not enough to affect you."
'Good, because the last thing we need is me freaking out in the middle of an actual battle.'
Naruto sped up, adding the barest amount of demonic chakra to his feet. He needed to get to the bridge; god knows what twist fate and time would play this time around.
The group of six walked in silence to the incomplete bridge, Zabuza and Haku taking the lead. But as they arrived Ino gasped and went pale and Tazuna fell to his knees; what awaited them wasn't the smiling faces of the few brave workers helping Tazuna, but a slaughter as dead bodies were strewn about all over the place.
Standing in the middle of all of the carnage stood two figures, the Inuzuka and another man who barley stood at five and a half feet tall. He was dressed from head to toe in a black robe with purple trimmings on the edge that hid most of his features save from brown tufts of hair that peeked out of the hood covering his face.
"Ah look who come to play with us Inuzuka-san." The hooded figure said in almost a giddy voice "and looked at this; they've even brought the bridge builder to us, how thoughtful. Though do my eyes deceive me or are you missing someone?" He snapped his boney fingers "oohh right, the blonde boy, how unfortunate playing with him would have been the most fun."
The Inuzuka growled, "oh well Bohne-san, it looks like you'll have to play with the other kiddies while I handle the adults."
Hinata stepped forward "why do you care about Naruto-Kun?"
Before the man could respond, a tornado-like drill rocketed towards the group from the bridge's right side, forcing them to scatter. The Inuzuka leaped forward, while the dark figure also ran, bringing out a black pike and attacking Haku.
"Hinata-san, Ino-san" he called out "protect Tazuna-san while I deal with this." The pike got blocked by several senbon Haku was holding; she backflipped away launching the senbon and making one handed seals "Ice Style: multi senbon jutsu!" The mist surrounding the flying senbon coalesced into fine thin needles, forcing his opponent to dodge.
"Tell me your name ice user I would know the dead man standing before me."
Haku tightened the grip on her senbon "you first" she said.
"Fair enough" the man nodded, pulling his hood back. He was maybe in his thirties with light brown hair combed to the side and a thin goatee, but his skin stretched against his face like he was malnourished, and from what Haku could see of his arms they were rather skinny. "You can call me Sozun." He lifted his arms and aimed his palms at Haku "and you will give in to your rage." Two streams of dark purplish chakra shot out of his hands.
Two rectangles of ice formed out of the mist, the dark chakra attack splattered against the shields like water. Haku's formed appeared in both of them and both images threw their own hail of senbon at Sozun. Sozun jumped back but failed to notice the mirror slowly forming behind him. That is until Haku emerged from it grabbing Sozun and sticking several senbon into his neck.
Sozun's form melted into the same dark chakra that he used to attack with, and he reappeared in a dark shadow cast by the side of the bridge. He had to duck as Zabuza slammed into the wall, using the flat side of his sword to block a spiraling tornado of the Inuzuka. Or was that his companion transformed as him?
Sozun shrugged his shoulders, who cares? He had some toys to play with. "So you can materialize mirrors of ice that you can teleport to. I wonder what the range on that technique is, after all here we are nearly thirty meters apart and yet" he glanced behind him as two more mirrors were forming on either side of him. He held his hand behind him and another stream of dark chakra hit both mirrors "why is it that you can move freely through it while my darkness only bounces off of it." He jumped to avoid the senbon thrown and landed 20 meters away from Haku.
"I mean I understand your gekkei genkai allowing you to make these mirrors, but what part of it allows you to move through the space between us near instantaneously? What links them?"
Haku growled as she quickly made some handsigns "how about worry about yourself more than how my jutsu works? Water Style: raging bullet!" She threw three more ice senbon that quickly melted and became soccer ball sized roiling globs of water.
"Tut, tut, so quick to anger Ice-san," Sozun said shaking his head. Several equal size globs of darkness shot out to meet Haku's jutsu. As they collided the globs of darkness dispensed turning into its own mist like form that rested on the floor of the bridge. Sozun frowned "so not enough anger exists in your heart huh? That means this fight will be difficult, unless" he looked beyond Haku to the two Leaf genin defending his mark.
Haku appeared above Sozun, getting a solid right hook to his face "you are far to busy with me to even think fo attacking them."
Sozun, who hadn't actually been forced back any just smiled and grabbed Haku by the wrist "nevermind I just might be able to use you after all." Suddenly Sozun's arm turned pure black and like ink the blackness traveled over his arm and onto Haku, who jumped away, but too late.
Haku fell to the floor, "what did you do to me?"
Sozun laughed "my chakra is steeped in darkness, it has the ability to pull forth all the dark emotions we hide from our hearts, all the pain and anger we bottle up brought full center and doubled in viciousness! Once it gets a hold of you, you can never escape it. Soon enough you will be a slave to your base feelings...I wonder what you'll do-"
"Dashing Double Palms!" Hinata appeared stepping right in front Sozun, shoving her open hands into his chest. He was shot back and the dark chakra that had moved to cover Haku's shoulder faded. Hinata's byakugan blazed as she took her stance. "Just as I thought. You need to concentrate on that technique. Break your concentration and that jutsu is worthless. Tell me did you use that jutsu on Naruto-kun, last night?"
Sozun picked himself up, his hands invisible inside his robes. "The blonde one? Yes, I did, a variation of it at least."
"Why?"
Sozun smiled an evil smile that reminded her all too much of a particular snake "well it matters not he isn't here now is he? Besides I have ways of fighting multiple opponents" a large oval shape blob formed, and like a cist, it popped and another Sozun stood there. But out of that Sozun, another one stepped out, and another and another until eight Sozun's stood in their way.
"Sorry to ask this Hinata-san, but would you mind helping me?"
Hinata nodded "of course."
"I'll help too," Ino said from behind them.
"Ino-san, provide long-range support, we need you to stay by Tazuna in case any of them get by us!"
"Righ, Hinata! Tactic 5" Ino said and backflipped, sending out several kunai that arced and landed in front fo the Sozun's.
"Your aim needs work girly-" a sizzling sound brought his attention to the several tags attached at the end of those kunai, and they exploded sending a bright flash of light into his face.
"Haku-san go right!" Hinata called out as she charged ahead, coming to the nearest Sozun and attacking. As she got closer, she noticed the Sozun clones seemed to have gotten bigger. It didn't matter though in a single moment, a single strike the clone exploded in darkness; she didn't stop as she stepped over to the next blinded clone with the grace of a ballerina and it exploded too.
Haku followed and did the same; one was down in a single chop and another after several Ice senbon pierced his chest. But as he went to attack the next one it grew a few inches and smirked as it backhanded him away. Hinata had to dodge as the third clone she went to attack also lashed out.
Were they growing even bigger? Hinata noticed that as the last of the flare seals faded, the clones stopped they stood three feet over Hinata and two over Haku and all looked a lot more muscular than they should have. But Sozun himself remained the same scrawny guy.
One charged Hinata, but it's movements were sloppy, she stepped forward and struck him twice in the chest, but it didn't pop like it should have. In fact it cocked its fist back and clocked Hinata before grabbing her by the waist and throwing her away.
That had hurt way more than she was expecting. Bigger, stonger and more durable than they should have been. What was going on? Haku suffered the same fate, and landed right beside her. "Any ideas, Hinata-san?" She asked getting to a knee.
"Well, all the chakra from these clones are connected back to the original, like his earlier jutsu if we can disrupt his concentration, he can't maintain it. One good hit to him and this battle is as good as won."
"Oh great that's all we need, and I chose a wonderful time to run out of senbon."
"Can't you creat some using your ice style?"
"Yeah but after forming so many mirrors back to back and creating ice senbon my reserves are about half empty, don't suppose you could make any shadow clones like Naruto-san?"
"No that jutsu requires way to much chakra, Ice clones?"
"A few but that'll be the rest of my chakra."
"Now, now Ladies if you keep whispering like that, I'll think your plotting something" Sozun said.
"Yeah but your clones cant stray too far from you can they? That's why they haven't attacked us yet."
Sozun held up his hands "alas, you found the one weakness of my clones. Ten meters is their limits, but-"
"Uzumaki Secret Art: Triple Sickle Slash!" Suddenly a blackish orange blur sped past Haku and Hinata, sped past the clones of Sozun and stopped just past Sozun himself. Two Naruto's appeared out of the blur and in sync sheathed their blades and at the same time all of Sozun's clones popped into dark mist, falling slowly to the ground.
"Naruto-kun!"
"Sorry I'm late" Naruto said turning to face Sozun "had some business to attend to regarding Tsunami-san. You two alright?"
"I speak for both of us Naruto-san when I say we've been better."
"Ah yes and the guest of the hour has appeared, so nice to make your acquaintance, I am Sozun" Sozun said with a bow.
"And I don't care, you hurt my friends."
"Well that can't be helped, we're enemies after all. Or should I say, THEY are our enemies." Sozun held his hand up at Naruto as out of nowhere almost tribal like dark purplish marks appeared on Naruto's skin and he fell to his knees screaming.
"Naruto!"
"Naruto-kun!"
"Naruto-san!"
The three girls called out, but Naruto didn't seem to hear them. He screamed and clutched the side of his head, his vision was going foggy, what was happening to him. "Ah yes you see the jutsu I used on Ice-san has two variations. You see when my chakra infiltrates someone's system it leaves small traces of itself, and when it's had enough time to sit in someones chakra system, I can remotely activate this jutsu with four times the power! Ahahahahaha!"
"But why Naruto-kun? Why not our sensei?"
"Well my gekkei genkai allows me to see how much hatred someone possess inside their hearts; afterall the more hate you have the stronger my jutsu will affect you. While you were all resting yesterday I discovered something. This boy right here" he pointed to Naruto who had now been covered in the darkness and had gone quiet "he has more hate in him than anybody else I've ever seen. And I've met your swordsman over there."
"YOUR LYING!" Hinata shouted, running towards Naruto, but just as she reached Sozun, all the darkness on Naruto shot off of him as a dark red cloak took its place, two long ears and tails flowing from the cloak. "Na-Naruto-kun..."
"You!" He said in a deep voice.
"Ahaha, my jutsu worked but this, now this is interesting. Let's see what happens now huh?" Sozun asked while literally merging with the shadows.
"Naruto-kun are you okay?" Hinata asked, before having to backflip as Naruto lashed out with his sharpened claw like fingers "Naruto-kun?"
"Don't call me that, you don't mean it" Naruto growled leaping at Hinata, slashing at her. Though his movements were sloppy they came fast and hard, not giving Hinata a moment to do anything but defend herself and she was barely managing to do that.
"Naruto-kun what are you doing? Stop this!".
"Why so you can pity me some more?"
"What, what?" Caught off guard Naruto stepped into Hinata's personal space and heel kicked her into the air. And as her form started falling down he appeared above her and ax kicked her into the bridge. As the smoke settled Hinata crawled out of the creator she created. "Na-Naruto-Kun, wh- why are you attacking me? Sozun is our enemy."
By this point the red of Naruto's eyes had turned crimson and his canines had turned into fangs."Because Hinata you piss me off. Every time you call me Naruto-kun, you don't mean it. You never had." He slowly started to approach the struggling Hyuga.
"What are you talking about? Of course I mean it Naruto-kun I...I...I love you!"
That caused Naruto to stop a few paces away. He looked down for a second before he started laughing. Not quietly either "haha...AHAHAHAHA. Seriously...seriously?" He asked the second one more quietly, and Hinata thought she saw her chance.
"Yes..yes I do and I have for a very long time I ACK-"
Naruto grabbed her by her throat "if you think that means I won't hurt you out of some arbitrary return of those feelings your sorely mistaken Hinata." He threw her away next to the stunned Haku and terrified Ino, also Tazuna. "You feel bad for yourself, you saw how people treated me, how I was abused! You saw more than anyone else and you were too scared to do anything about it. Now you think caring for me will make up for that? Pitying me will somehow help you atone? Well guess what I don't want it and I never asked for it!"
Out of nowhere a dome of twenty plus ice mirrors formed around Naruto and Haku appeared in every single one of the. This was the same chakra she saw and felt in her dream, but more twisted and violent. "Alright Naruto-san, I think it's time to calm down and come to your senses."
"Oh don't even get me started on you Haku!" Naruto said looking around trying to discern where the real Haku was.
'What did I do?' She thought to herself, but shook her head. At the moment it didn't matter. It seemed Naruto would take any excuse to lash out at anybody near him. She quickly started speeding through different mirrors to try and confuse Naruto, before leaping out of one, her last three senbon in hand as she aimed for the back of his neck.
But it was all for naught as Naruto whipped around grabbing Haku out of the air also grabbing her by her throat. Naruto got right up to Haku's maks and growled as she struggled to get out of his grasp. "I hate you Haku for the simple reason that we are the same. We went through hate, abandonment, loneliness, struggle. But unlike falling into despair like Garra did or rising above all the hate like I tried to you just latched onto the first person to show you the tiniest bit of decency and became his tool."
He slammed Haku onto his back and gripped tighter "no thought of rising beyond your station, happy to just sot their and die for someone who doesn't even see you as a human being!"
"H-how.." she was trying to ask how he knew that but her vision was starting to go in and out as she was being suffocated. Suddenly two kunai landed right at Naruto's feet and before he could react they exploded. He was forced to let go of Haku to avoid the blade, Haku himself being blasted a few feet away. Naruto looked back at the origin and saw Ino there shaking but ready to face him.
"Oh, the blond dandy thinks she can fight me? You're to busy worrying more about trying to impress someone who doesn't even acknowledge your existence than you are your training."
"Naruto" she called "this is insane!"
"Insane? You want insane?" He stalked closer to Ino, grabbing her by her collar. She was paralyzed by fear, the KI Naruto was emitting close to knocking her out. "Insane is hating someone, berating someone, thinking less of them just because their parents said so. Insane is fawning over some Emo pricking and having a heart attack every time he so much as looked at you. INSANE IS ONLY ACKNOWLEDGING SOMEONE'S EXISTENCE AFTER HE COULD BEAT SAID EMO."
Hinata struggled to her feet, looking at the two next to her. This was bad, Naruto had given in entirely to his own hate. She needed to find a way to stop him. But how? None of them could beat Naruto while he was using the Nine-Tail's chakra. If she could get a few clean hits off she could lock down his chakra network, but she just wasn't fast enough to do it.
"I gave you just enough Otsutsuki Blood to mix with your Hyuga biology to give you a different kind of Dojutsu. It is called the Tenseigan, or the Heavenly eye. What its effects are, I let you figure out, however I have modified it so its leveled like the Uchiha's Sharingan..."
Hinata's eyes widened as Kami's words from what felt like so long ago echoed in her mind. 'The Tenseigan! Kami said it would help fight Kaguya someday.' She closed her eyes and reached deep in herself. She didn't know what it was, or what it did, but right now she'd try anything. There was something there at the edge of her senses. It was graceful, yet solid nonpresent yet it emitted power the likes she had never felt before.
It reverberated and pounded in Hinata's head until she could hardly think. And in the midst of that chaos a single voice echoed out to Hinata "Do you have the strength to accept all of the pain of my power? To use it knowing disaster will soon come? Do you accept, no CAN you accept that which you do not know?"
Hinata was confused, who was talking to her? The noise vanished and though her vision was gone, she felt like she was floating, sinking down into some kind of abyss, a sense of dread starting filling her. Who was she to have this power? Would it be enough? What if she couldn't save Naruto? Suddenly her vision returned and she was on the ground younger being picked on and kicked before suddenly a blond blur smacked into the biggest of the bullies.
"Hey leave her alone and pick on someone your own size!"
"Oh you want some do you loser!"
And as the boys descended on the Naruto, Hinata crawled away, but as she crawled through the bush she flipped forward and as she landed on her feet she was clutching at the sides of her fathers robes looking at an older Naruto screaming amidst a crowd of jeering adults.
"One day I'm going to be the greatest Hokage in Konoha! Believe it!"
And just as Hiashi ushered her forward she collapsed in great pain. She was back at the chunin exams, and some jonin sensei's what surrounded Neji, and in front of her stood a familiar orange jumpsuit.
"Hinata just fought as hard as she could and even went beyond her own limits just to prove to you and herself that she was good enough. If you ever come at her like this again...I'll kill you!"
The scene changed and now she was in the seats of the chunin exams finals and Naruto stood across from Neji.
"I never give up and I never go back on my word, because that's my nindo!"
Her vision faded away and when it came back to her she was lying on the ground, she could feel the pain of several rods piercing her back pinning her to the ground. Oh yeah she had just tried to fight that akatsuki guy.
"Hinata!" Naruto roared as red chakra started to peel from his skin.
Oh right Naruto went berserk...her vision faded away again as she felt herself sinking in that abyss from earlier, and like earlier a voice called out to her "Do you accept my power?"
As the question sank into her very being Hinata clenched her fist, Naruto was always protecting her, getting her out of trouble. He was always saving her...well no more, not again. Never again!"
"I'll ask once more, Hinata Hyuga...do you accept my power!"
Back out in the real world, chakra exploded out of Hinata's body getting everyone's attention. Loose dirt and gravel began to swirl around Hinata as the chakra turned into a cerulean blue, Hinata's fist clenched and she slammed her right one into the bridge, cracking it slightly. She stood up and the chakra shrunk down into a greenish blue outlining her form.
"Naruto-kun" she said softly before getting into her jyuken stance and all could only look in shock as veins stretched out beyond Hinata's eyes like usual but now there was a light purple pupil in Hinata's eye with a single flower petal rotating around it. "Now it's my turn to save you."
She disappeared and reappeared in front of Naruto, her knocked back palms being covered in to roar lions made of the same chakra thrusting forward and catching Naruto right in the chest, forcing him to let go of Ino, but also making him rocket back "Yen Style: Twin Lion Fist: Dashing Double Palms!"
And as Naruto was thrown past the still stunned Inuzuka and Zabuza and Kurenai, Hinata blurred into existence in front of Naruto, striking him twice. Once in the shoulder and the other in his knee. She kept the combo up, each blow pushing Naruto backward just long enough for the other to hit. "Yen Style: Eight Trigrams Twin Lion Fist: Dashing sixty-four Palms!"
On her last hit she got behind Naruto and using all her might hit him in the middle of his back, sending him flying back through the still stunned forms and Kurenai and Zabuza. And as he got within ten meters Hinata again appeared but this time of above Naruto and she started spinning ""Yen Style: Rotation!" She screamed catching Naruto against her technique and the bridge, causing it to crack and break beneath him.
As Hinata landed she crouched huffing her Tenseigan fading in and out and she clutched her face closing her eyes. 'This is draining my chakra and fast' she cracked an eye open to see Naruto slowly rising from the mini crater he was in. "Not bad Hinata, I see you've got some new tricks, how long you been hiding this from me?"
"Naruto-kun I'm going to save you!"
"Heh, save me?" Naruto wiped some blood from the side of his mouth "what if I don't want to be saved?"
"For the same reason you never gave up on Sasuke! I won't let you consume yourself in darkness."
Inside Naruto's Head
Naruto's eyes snapped open, and he was surrounded by darkness, being held by the darkness around him. But he struggled and struggled and soon he tore free from the dark and landed...back in the sewers? What happened to his rock garden? He looked up and there was Kurama in her fox form staring down at him.
"Kurama what's going on?"
"Look for yourself kit." She pointed one claw behind him.
Naruto turned around and saw himself or at least another Naruto with bushier whiskers and red slitted eyes. He knew instinctively this was his dark side. The one he met at the waterfall of truth. "What are you doing, I conquered you a long time ago."
The other Naruto(henceforth known as Dark Naruto) laughed and made a fist "maybe you did, but the Naruto of the past, the one you merged with, he didn't even know i existed. It's weird you know, I'm past Naruto's hate and anger but with all of future Naruto's memories. But I'm thankful because once I beat you" he pointed at Naruto "I'm going to kill everyone who ever hurt us!"
"Look I get it, I still have hate and yeah I'm still kinda mad at them, but I'm willing to let it go. I won't fight you."
Dark Naruto stepped forward, and swiftly brought one fist into Naruto's guts. "See that may have worked on me in the past or thebfuture if you want, but now you have this thing with Hinata and brought all your insecurities into the mix. There's too much risk of us getting hurt again for me to leave you in charge."
"Looks like I'll just have to beat you into submission then" Naruto said cracking his knuckles.
"Bad idea other me" Dark Naruto warned dark chakra seeping off of his form "that robed guy's jutsu tripled my power, you can't beat me."
"Oh why tell me then?"
"Because if you don't stand down I might just kill you."
"I'd like to see you try." Naruto charged forward, his blade singing as it sliced the air, and as he charged Dark Naruto used his claws to block the blade and the two struggled for dominance. Dark Naruto soon got the upper hand forcing Naruto back. And as Naruto thought Dark Naruto was going to win Hinata's words echoed throughout the sewer and her standing up flaring her Tenseigan rang through both Naruto's mind
"Naruto-kun i'm going to save you!"
Some of the dark chakra around Naruto faded away and appeared on Narutonas Kurama's red chakra. Naruto struggled back up and brought the two back to a standstill. And suddenly Dark Naruto stepped back as if had been hit and then proceeded to react to Hinata's other attacks until he was on the ground. Naruto also fell to a knee feeling all the same pain.
But Naruto laughed "thanks Hina-chan" he said softly before he started walking towards Dark Naruto his blade facing into existence in his hand.
"Wait, wait, wait" dark Naruto pleaded waving his hands in front of him "don't you see you need me! I'm here to protect you!"
"I know" Naruto replied softly "and you need me, but there's a reason why I'm the one in charge" he brought his sword up and in on chopped off Dark Naruto's head. His body falling and melting away.
"Nice job kit" Kurama said with a smile.
"Yeah I'm gonna have to handle him at some point."
"Not now though" she said as the sewer started to shake.
Naruto stepped towards Hinata "It still won't do you any good against-" Naruto fell to both knees, clutching his chest "wait, wait, wait don't you see you need me?"
The Ninetails chakra vanished from Naruto's body as he started to fall backwards, Hinata was there to catch him and lay him softly on the ground. Naruto's eyes opened and they were back to being blue and he looked up at the form of Hinata smiling gently down at him some tears in her eyes "hey Naruto-kun."
"Hey Hina-chan" he said shakily place a hand against her cheek "you did it.. you saved...me" he said his hand slipping off her face as unconsciousness took him."
Back with the three adults they were STILL staring at the two children. "What the fuck was that shit?" Asked the Inuzuka before the dull end of Zabuza's butcher blade chopped him across the back of his neck. "All that fighting and that's what does him in?" Asked Zabuza with a sigh.
Kurenai seeing the conflict come to a stop rushed over to her students. She came over just in time to see Hinata deactivate her new Tenseigan. "Hinata what happened? And what was that?" She asked confused.
Near a shadow being cast by one of the few containers littering the field Sozun watched with intense interest. "Hmm...now that was a surprise... until next time children." He chuckled evilly as he sank into the shadow.
"I don't know Kurenai-sensei. Naruto-kun got controlled by the dark robed ninja and he started using this intense red chakra and Haku and I tried fighting him off and when all seemed hopeless this immense power started washing over me."
Kurenai wanted to ask more but she was interrupted by the sound of clapping. "Very good" Gato said walking down the peer an army of men behind him "I mean that sincerely by the way. What a show the young girl put on for us right men" he asked over his shoulder. They gave a raucous cheer behind him.
"But I'm afraid this is were your story comes to an..agh...agh.." Gato seized up his body shivering before he huffed "Alright, Kurenai-sensei plan four!" Gato suddenly started running at the group of ninja, much to the confusion of his men
Kurenai looked behind her to see the limp form of Ino being held by Haku and smirked "Zabuza when I tell you too I need you to strike Gato down and only when i tell you too. Too soon and you'll hurt Ino."
"She's a Yamanaka correct?" Zabuza readied his blade "that's making my job almost to easy" and he waited.
Gato got closer thirty meters, twenty meters, ten meters, five his eyes suddenly widened "wha- What's going on here?"
"NOW!"
With a mighty roar Zabuza swung upwards bisecting Gato right at the crotch to the tip of his forehead. In a shower of blood both sides fell and the bandits looked on in horror before one growled "HEY THERE GOES OUR PAY GET 'EM!"
"Seriously" Zabuza asked Kurenai unconcerned "they just saw us go toe to toe with a man who could kill them with his pinky in his sleep with both hands tied behind his back. Do they honestly think they could lay a single finger on us?"
"Eh who cares" Kurenai answered with a shrug "all that matters now is we stop them from getting past us and at the others."
"No Kurenai-sensei" Hinata said, her and Ino joining her at her side "we're going to fight."
"Yeah" Ino nodded pulling out more explosive kunai, and Haku stood beside Zabuza "besides, I need to prove my worth too."
"Impressive students you got there Kurenai, Haku no mercy, understand?"
"Yes Zabuza-sama."
"Alright you three listen up, this brawl is going to get hectic. Watch out for each other and don't get separated. Play defensively until it's safe to attack."
"Hey" a voice called out from behind and there stood Naruto, his eyes red and slit, his whisker marks thicker and his teeth and fingers sharpened. But surprisingly the chakra cloak was absent "You're not gonna fight without me are ya?"
"Naruto-kun!" Hinata was surprised he was already up, his body still showed the damage from her last attack but he was slowly healing.
"Naruto are you good to fight?"
"Yeah my ...special ability is already fixing the damage. I've got one more good fight left in me."
Kurenai nodded as Naruto stood between Ino and Hinata "don't push yourself to hard Naruto and if you feel like you can't fight do everything in your power to retreat. All of you ready?"
"Hai Kurenai-sensei!"
"Hai Kurenai-sensei!"
Needless to say the bandits didn't really stand a chance even as worn and weakened as they were, the group of ninja soon made quick work of the group. There was a close call where Haku almost got hurt but Naruto was swift to save him. All in all the battle, if you could even call it that, didn't last more than ten minutes.
And as they were regrouping afterward Naruto got Kurenai away from the other fighters. "Yes Naruto is everything alright?" Kurenai asked. Naruto looked worried, probably because he looked like he was about to pass out. Probably chakra exhaustion.
"Kurenai-san we have a problem."
"Kurenai-san?" She raised an eyebrow "actually I have been wondering how long do you plan to use the Nientail's chakra Naruto? The battles over you can stop now."
"That's the problem Kurenai-san, I'm not using the Ninetail's chakra...I AM the Ninetail's at the moment."
"E-excuse me?" She said stepping back in surprise.
Naruto looked down at his hands "I'm not Naruto, he's still up here" Naruto pointed at his forehead "sleeping. I'm in control right now, but I don't know how exactly. His seal should prevent me from doing this."
Kurenai got in a defensive stance "okay.." she said carefully choosing her words "so why are you telling me this?"
"Because you need to know Kurenai-san. I don't blame you for being wary, the last time you saw me I was attacking your village. But please believe me I mean no ill will towards you or your students or even the Leaf. I'm telling you this because I don't know how long I'm going to be in control and as long as I'm in control, Naruto's going to continue to look like this."
"Okay, how do I know you're telling the truth?"
"If I wanted to kill you I would have done it during that melee earlier, besides I've been stuck with Naruto for his entire life. Do you honestly think he hasn't rubbed off on me in all those years?"
As his words sunk in, Kurenai dropped her stance ever so slightly "alright, say I believe you what now?"
"Well my chakra is working its way through Naruto's body, healing him so whenever he's ready to wake up he'll be in control again. Until then I say go about life as normal, I've already got an alibi for my appearance."
Kurenai sighed "you know I DEFINITELY have to report this to the Hokage right?"
"That specific reason is why I'm talking to you, if Naruto's seal has been damaged enough for me to take over then I need your resident seal master to look at it. No telling what damage could be done if someone tried tampering with it."
"Right...for now at least try to act like Naruto, okay?"
"Please, after so long I've got his personality down to a T."
Naruto nodded and started walking over to the other fighters, his hands stretching behind his head but didn't get more than a few steps before tripping over a chunk of concrete. Kurenai sighed, this was going to be a challenge...
Later
Hinata sighed as she sat on a rock outside Tazuna's house, just enjoying the breeze. Haku and Zabuza had gone off to Gato's house to find what information they could, and with the news of Gato's death, the town of Wave brought out what delicacies it could to throw a party. The bridge would continue to be built tomorrow but right now everyone was celebrating.
She heard the door open and saw Naruto exit. He had been acting strange ever since they got back to Tazuna's house he had locked himself in a room and refused to tall to anybody she figured it was because he was ashamed of the things he had said, but was willing to wait for him. Stranger yet were the tell-tale signs of Kurama's chakra. His excuse had been because his gekkei genkai had overrun his system with this weird chakra and he was letting it go away by itself.
"Naruto-kun how are you fee-"
Naruto held up a hand interrupting her "first Hinata you need to realize something, I'm not Naruto."
Hinata looked at him confused before she asked "...Kurama?"
"Indeed, mind if I sit?" Hinata nodded and Kurama sat down.
"How's Naruto-kun?"
"Physically? Not that hurt, you managed to crack and almost break a few ribs but nothing he hasn't handled in the past..or future. Whatever you did to him knocked him out cold, even his subconscious is sleeping. I've tried for the past few hours to talk to him but he's out."
"Oh..uh sorry about that." Hinata said sheepishly. She honestly had no idea what was going on, she had never even seen Kurama before let alone talked to him.
"No it's fine Hinata, Sozun's jutsu would have killed you and your teammates if you didn't do something. Speaking of Sozun though-"
"No need to apologize for Naruto, I know he didn't mean it. That was just hated talking."
"No Hinata, it wasn't. When he was talking to you that was all of his fear and insecurities. How he really feels deep down. You are one of the most important people in his life if not THE most important person." Hinata blushed at that part "and he has honest worries about being hurt again and he is trying to deal with that."
"Anything I can do to help?"
"Only thing you can do is prove him wrong, stay by his side no matter what and just be there for him."
Wow not bad, I didn't see any mistakes
