So here is chapter 2, the prologue. Revised and better. Leave a review.

(Prologue)

Chad Walker was a unique existence, even among other unique existences. He was the offspring of a union between a mortal and a deity, known as a demigod. However, Chad was different from other demigods in that he was born between the union of the first Primordial god and creator of the universe, Chaos, with a mortal woman named Alva Walker, who was in fact a legacy of Hecate. Both Chad and his mother were protected by a symbiotic creature named Zero, given to them by Chaos. Thus, the three would travel the world, as Alva worked as a freelancer, enjoying seeing and trying new things. Something that Chad also took joy with.

But the good times ended when Chad was only eight years old. One night they were attacked by the Primordial Goddess Gaea's minions. Gaea had sensed the birth of her younger brother and saw that he could become a possible asset or a threat to her plans. In the ensuing battle, Alva was killed by servants of Gaea. When he saw his mother killed, Chad went berserk and erased them from existence. Before her death, Ayla prayed to Chaos to save their son. In return, he teleported Chad to the Goddess Hestia. Learning of the situation, Hestia helped bring Chad to Camp Half-Blood.

Though the camp treated him well, Chad mostly kept to himself, ignoring Chiron and Mr. D and would even sometimes leave the camp borders when he was board. He did stay for some of the activities, such as Capture the Flag. He helped defeat the Hunters of Artemis in one match. When he turned fifteen, Chad left to explore the world, both Earth and the supernatural, visiting other mythologies and eventually took on the occupation as a freelancer. He mostly took jobs from Olympus, with Hestia the only person capable of contacting him. Chad did his role during the second Titan War, taking out the Titans' forces from behind enemy lines and keeping most of their forces occupied instead of converging on Manhattan.

During his travels, Chad met many people, making new friends and enemies along the way. This went from the Norse Faction to the Egyptian, Hindu, Shinto, China, and even the Biblical plus various Magician Organizations. He did help the Olympians from time to time, such as helping face Gaia and the Giants, taking pleasure in thwarting his mother's killer's plans, as well as destroying several outposts of the Triumvirate Holdings. One of his most notable traits was allowing all the Factions, excluding the Biblical Faction, to study Zero and develop new armor for Demigods and Legacies (plus the Egyptian Magicians and the Einherjars).

At some point, Chad took up residence at Mill Rock, the small, abandoned island between Manhattan and Queens, while making North and South Brother Islands his secondary bases. This way he could live in solitude and peace and being near Olympus should another emergency arise. Chad Walker is also listed among the "Top 10 Strongest Beings in the World".

Presently, he is performing another job.

(London, England, Nighttime)

A young man in his late teens, early twenties, he stood at 6 feet, with a lean, muscular build, he could be considered attractive by others. This was also due to his fair skin, spiky, disheveled pitch-black hair, with tints of blue, and dark purple eyes. Presently he wore a black, grayish-blue armor including a helmet over his head. A jetpack was also attached to his back, currently off. Due most likely that he was inside a building.

Chad Walker was always someone who many would consider…odd, if not crazy at times. As someone with his skills and not bound to any authority, Chad liked to do what he wanted and not care what others thought. Now, in some cases it might be true that Chad can be a bit...off, but he was quite sane most of the time. One such time was right now as he sneaked through a building in London, England. Why you might be asking? The reason is simple and yet complicated at the same time. A group of Devils belonging to the Old Satan Faction, which itself was affiliated with an organization run by a certain dragon, had stolen the one and only Helm of Darkness that was property of Hades.

Chad could only guess the reasons. It could because they wanted to make use of the helm's properties against the current Devil government. Or they might be trying to implicate said government of committing the heist and earning Hades' wrath. It was known to many that the Underworld God had a strong dislike for the Devils. Either way, Hestia had asked Chad to retrieve the helm in order to avoid a serious conflict. And as one of the few people that he cared about Chad took the request right away.

Back to the present, Chad had finally reached his destination, peering through an air vent cover attached to the wall, he looked at the room where his target was. The room was large and circular, with pillars holding up the ceiling. At the other end of the room, he saw a door, probably the entrance. Using his suit's visor, he saw that they were at least six Devils outside. Inside, he could spot at least seven more Devils moving about. And at the center, directly below a chandelier, was the High-Class Devil, near a small round table. And in the center of the table was the Helm of Darkness.

With the target in sight, Chad decided to act. Phasing through the vent cover, he soundlessly landed on the floor. Then, he turned himself invisible, before making his way towards the table. Chad could sense a magical barrier surrounding the helm, but he could easily dispel it. Problem was that once he did, the Devils would become aware of Chad's presence. Before acting, Chad did a final check around him, where the Devils were and other objects, a plan forming in his mind. Once he was satisfied, Chad dispelled the barrier.

As he predicted, the Devils immediately became alert. Becoming visible, Chad said, "Hello!" Startling the Devils as they saw him near the helm. The closes one tried to strike Chad with a sword, but it merely phased through his body. Chad then pulled out Alpha and Omega in gun form, firing both. The void bullets completely eradicated the Devil's body just as the others had finally readied themselves.

"Intruder!" A Devil shouted. "Thief! He's stealing the helm!"

"Okay, now that's a misunderstanding! You guys were the ones who stole it and thus are the true thieves! I am just taking it back to its rightful owner." Chad defended himself as he warped the helm into his pocket dimension. He jumped up towards the ceiling, attaching his feet to it as a Devil fired a demonic bullet at him. By then the others were preparing to fire their attacks too.

"Stop right there you filthy miscreant!" The same Devil demanded.

Chad glared at him. "Now you're just being rude. I am not filthy…I bathe mornings and evenings." Chad said as he conjured a ball of gravity.

Before any of them could react, Chad threw the sphere towards the table. The Devils found themselves pulled in by the gravitational force until they all collided with one another. Next, Chad changed Omega into its sword form and cut the chain holding the chandelier. Then, by adding extra mass to it, sent the chandelier plummeting towards the Devils below. Chad winced at the loud crash, no doubt either killing or severely injuring the Devils underneath it.

Not waiting for more unwanted visitors, Chad attempted to warp out, but discovered that he could not leave the building. "Well, figured it wasn't going to be that easy." Chad muttered when he realized that the entire building was surrounded by a barrier.

That is when more Devils came pouring in, firing magical attacks towards Chad. The son of Chaos had them phase through before propelling himself at the group. Clapping his hands together, Chad unleashed a powerful vacuum blast onto the Devils, the shockwave sending them flying by the sheer pure force of the attack. With them down, Chad made his way out of the room, with more Devils following him.

"Holy shit, what the hell is this? A convention for Devils?" Chad muttered as demonic bolts went through his body.

Chad knew he could easily take these Devils. But to be honest, long-term fighting was not really his thing, he was not a war god or a child of one who took joy in battle. And besides, the longer he wasted time here, the more Hades would get aggravated and may even start conducting hostile action towards the Devils. The last thing anyone wanted. So, with that in mind, Chad prepared to teleport out of there…when he realized that he could not. Nor could he phase out through the walls that led outside the building. The son of Chaos could sense a magical barrier forming around the building. A powerful one, if it stopped him from escaping.

"End of the line, thief!" A Devil shouted as he and several others finally caught up with him. The Devils had magic circles conjured, ready to fire. Meanwhile the Devil who had spoken continued speaking. "My masters told me that you would be the one that the Olympians would send. Chad Walker, the Son of Chaos and ranked among the Top 10." Despite what he said, the Devil did not seem nervous, only haughty.

"Yeah, well, when Lady Hestia asks for a request, how could I say no?" Chad asked sarcastically. "What were you going to use the helm for if you don't mind me asking. Only Hades can use it properly."

The lead Devil let out a humph. "That is no concern of yours, filthy hybrid."

"Hey that's not nice. I bathe regularly." Chad defended himself, though he took a quick sniff of himself. "Hmm, maybe I should hit the showers after this." He muttered, causing the Devils to sweat drop at his lack of fear, despite still having him surrounded.

Grinding his teeth, the Devil leader was losing his patience. "I see that your uncivilized manners are also true. You must have been raised in a cave or something. Perhaps it was from your mother if she was low enough to whore herself to-."

The Devil never got the chance to finish his sentence. Moving quicker than anyone could follow, Chad materialized Omega in pistol form and fired a single void bullet. The projectile pierced the Devil's brain, and in seconds his entire body faded from existence. The other Devils had trouble catching up to what happened, let alone coming to terms with what they saw. Before they could do either, three of them were suddenly pulled by an unknown force straight towards Chad. When they were close enough, he delivered a powerful right kick, striking the first Devil in the cheek, and thus hitting the other two. The blow sent all three crashing into the wall.

"You know" Chad said, reappearing behind the remaining Devils, startling them. "I was going to simply break the barrier and warp out of here. But you guys just had to say something that really pissed me off." He ended with raising both his hands and erasing the air around the Devils. That in turn created a vacuum vortex in said space, sucking up everything including the Devils, who could only give short screams before being violently torn apart.

Once they were dead, Chad touched the nearest wall. Using anti-magic, the barrier was immediately dispelled. With no longer needing to be there, Chad teleported out, his prize in hand.

(Manhattan)

After returning the Helm to Nico, who in turn would bring it back to his father, Chad decided to stop and get some food. Teleporting out of sight near a Pizza Parlor and grabbed a plain pie along with a can of Coke. Once done, Chad teleported to his house on Mill Rock. The small island, completely abandoned, was the perfect place for Chad to live. His home was a villa/fortress that was hidden by the Mist, thus blocking it from most eyes. Also, the house had an underground section that leads to a large chasm with a pool and various other features too. Other rooms included a living room, a kitchen, at least four bathrooms, two guest bedrooms and his own room, several closets, a workshop, library, the attic and basement, an armory, dining room, lab, training room, meeting room, an extra living room, a communication room, a game room, vault, several balconies, landing pad, and finally a small, hidden dock for his boats.

Opening the front door, Chad kicked off his shoes and headed towards the couch. That just left him in a short-sleeve grey shirt, black jeans and white socks. Telekinetically calling over the remote, Chad clicked a button and soon the lights in the building came on, followed by fans and the AC, consuming him in fresh, cool air. The sensation felt good after being outside in the hot weather for so long. Placing the pizza box on the coffee table, Chad went to grab a Coke from the fridge before returning to the living room. Plopping onto the couch and putting his legs up, Chad opened the box and enjoyed the cheesy food.

Two hours later, Chad had gone through most of the box, but continued watching the TV. Tonight, they were showing a Looney Tunes marathon (the classics never get old). As Chad watched Bugs Bunny run away from Elmer Fudd, his IPAD began to beep, signaling that he just got a message. With a slice of pizza still in his mouth, Chad picked it up and leaned back onto the couch and opened his emails. Chad saw that it was from Jacob Redder, a Son of Hermes who acted as his middleman most of the times, the one who helped him find new contracts. Being the son of the Messenger God, Jacob was quite good at it, along with his girlfriend who is a daughter of Iris.

Anyway, the email he sent was another job from Olympus. Apparently, Apollo had learned that one of his demigod children, who had just turned thirteen, moved to Japan. Since it was Shinto territory, the Olympians could not go in and get the child without getting permission with the Japan deities. If a team were sent without permission, it could very well cause an incident between the Olympians and Shinto Faction. Since Chad was not officially a part of the Greek-Roman faction, it would not matter if he went to Japan to get the kid and their mother. Apollo was also willing to pay for any expenses needed for this contract. The reason being explained at the bottom of Jacob's email. Apparently, the demigod had moved to a town called Kuoh. While the town was under Shinto control, it was being rented by a Devil family, the Gremory clan.

Reading that part, Chad could tell why Apollo wanted his kid out of there quickly. Since the Devil Civil War ended 500 years ago, the Devils invented something called the Evil Pieces, which allowed them to reincarnate other people into Devils, basically making them their servants. Naturally, not all were given the option of choice if they wanted to be a Devil or, and the bats were known to be greedy, sometimes resorting to underhanded methods. If the Devils learned that a demigod was in that town, who knows what they could do. Though, its not like they could reincarnate Demigods or Legacies, but many had tried in the past.

Chad knew Apollo well, having had a few run ins with the Sun God a couple of times when I visited Olympus, so I figure I help him out. Plus, he was giving a pretty good deal, what with the reward he was offering. With that said, Chad replied back saying he would take the contract before eating the rest of his pizza, then gushing it down with soda. Letting out a burp, Chad got up from the couch and began making preparations for his journey to Kuoh. It sounded like a simple job, nothing new, but for some reason Chad's gut was telling him that what would come next would be a pain in the ass…or it was just the food digesting, who could say.

And with that, the prologue is done. I hope you enjoyed this brief demonstration of Chad's abilities and be sure to leave a review!
