That sound echoed through the hot spring area. It was one that Yuzuriha had heard various times through various forms of media. It was something that everyone had heard at least once in their life in this manner. It was the audible sound of bounds being broken. Though like many things hear something from a work of fiction, could be vastly different than we experience it firsthand.
The loud the sound itself was something that jarring to Yuzuriha's ears as she Senku basically having his neck broken. He started to collapse the ground like he was a puppet with his string cut. Though before Senku's body could hit the ground though he was too late to stop Tsukasa. Taiju was in time to prevent that much at least.
Yuzuriha than began crying with her hands over her mouth.
'Why is this happening?' she thought like that at and countless others were racing through her mind at this moment
One of her best friends had just killed before her very eyes by the very person that had like herself owed a great debut to both Senku and Taiju. After all, it was not for them then the two of them would still be statues lying around as part of nature. Also unaware of anything going on around as neither seems to have any awareness until revived (Yuzuriha did It just she forgotten everything though).
Though she was jolted out her thoughts that just kept spiral downward and were seemingly leading her further into despair and misery. By Taiju who had laid Senku down and seemingly had stopped crying as well. The feeling he was giving off she did not like as she had already lost one of her friends to Tsukasa. She did not want to lose another.
"Taiju!?" Yuzuriha exclaimed trying to get through to him as he picked up another boulder similar in size to the last time and…..
"Don't worry Yuzuriha. I'm calm" he told
Then he went about to explain just how they were going to get away from Tsukasa along with Senku. The plan was basically to recreate what had happened the last time he had a boulder this big in his grasp.
Actually kind of shocked that Taiju managed to come up with this plan so quickly and on the fly. Though that quickly shoved aside though she still apologized to him even if she only thought 'that was unexpected from Taiju' even for only a moment.
Wanting to focus only on his plan only she did mention that the three of them promised to deal with Tsukasa together so it would just work out somehow. The plan was then put into place as Tsukasa's full attention was drawn to the boulder that Taiju had just hurled into the air. He was on guard because he was worried that this a decoy though he made one grave miscalculation that was he was not paying attention to what Yuzuriha was doing anymore.
'This should work as he only sees Taiju as a possible threat to him' Yuzuriha thought as once his focus was fully on the sky she made a mad dash for the black powder they still had prepared. 'He might know we are trying to make black powder for a weapon but he should not be able to realize just what form that would be if things happen this fast'
So she grabbed the jar (that contained all it that was not used in the explosion that was being used a signal fire) and hurled it directly at the Tsukasa. Who in turn was shocked that she was throwing a jar at him Of course not realizing what this jar truly was he shatter it with his foot only see what a mistake he had made. The rock was indeed a decoy however that was merely to distract him from seeing Yuzuriha. After shattering the jar of black powder the rock then landed, just like before causing an explosion where Tsukasa himself was in the middle of it. Having tossed the black powder at Tsukasa and grabbed whatever she could. Yuzuriha threw it into a nearby bag that she then threw over her shoulder as they draw away. The plan beyond causing an explosion with the black powder was run away from him.
"We did not kill him did we" Yuzuriha wondered
"Something like that is enough to kill him even if he was in the middle of it" Taiju assured
After all, he was not a glass cannon that only had strength on his side alone. He was probably as tough and durable as him. Something Taiju explained to her thought they focused more on getting away also banking on the fact that Tsukasa did not see them as a threat after that. His goal was too merely to stop Senku thus foolishly think he could stop science in general…..at least the dangers of it.
Though Yuzuriha continues running Taiju was sure that Senku was not dead despite what the both saw. That there had to be something that could be done to save him. At first, at come to stop need a tree as it started raining, he tried a heart massage and then thought about artificial respiration...even though Tsukasa broke his neck which quickly told him. Claiming that the only reason he had done was that he was trying to save her when she was attempted to save him. This got Taiju thinking as then it hit him as Senku would never give up his life like that. There had to be something that causes him to do what he did, some reason that he even though it made no sense. That chance would save both himself and her.
This where Taiju stated almost in a panic like a state that there had to be some hint that they had for what that one chance was. As Senku's friends, it was their role to find out that hint and use it to carry out the plan he had left for him. As they stood in the rain thinking about how and what that was something came to her.
Yuzuriha then recalls how Senku himself wanted to be taken out through one blow to the neck. Though why the neck as what Tsukasa said next seems like it would make sense, however, was this it. How Senku had managed to outsmart Tsukasa while leaving them the vital hint Taiju claimed they needed now. That being about his neck, how he was rubbing it, and why Tsukasa had to take him out through striking him right there.
Flipping Senku over to get a better view of the back of his neck. The vital hint that they were looking for was right there. Similar to how she had two of her toes and a small portion of that foot still petrified. The same was so with Senku and a portion of his neck...which was in the same area that Tsukasa was convinced to attack directly.
Then she the depetrification formula from the stuff she had managed to gather and had been carrying all this time. Tossing it to Taiju who then used it on that spot in Senku's neck. With her hand need close to the collar of her shirt she watched the spot that still stone reverted back to normal. This was the gamble that Senku had made that even though Tsukasa had successfully broken his neck because he was not aware of that one area was still petrified in the back of his neck. The hope that by having the back of it depetrified everything would be good and his neck would be repaired. After all, that would be considered small damage and if anything just leaves another line similar to the ones on his face. Those two were considered small damage.
The only thing she could do now was hope that it worked and that Senku would be okay. For it, this worked then Tsukasa might not come after them for a long while now. After all what reason would he have for doing so. To his knowledge, he would be the smartest and strongest human alive. He also knew how to make the depetrification formula so there would be no threats to him doing what he wants.
