I just noticed that Daddy and Alec were missing I wonder what's going on.

the room was starting to feel dizzy and warm.

Then I fainted.

Chapter three

When I awoke, I was disoriented, I couldn't place my surroundings for a second, then I see Aro and Alec's faces amid the others at my side and I remember exactly where I was.

Still confused as to why I fainted I sit up rather cautiously.

"Are you feeling better now Cara?" Aro asks me placing a cool hand on my burning forehead.

"I think so daddy, I have no idea why I fainted though." I told him, looking around the room, noticing it was very cozy.

"I think I have an idea Mia trezoreto" Alec spoke, and for a second, I felt a wave of electricity shoot through me as daddy's hand was replaced by Alec's.

"What does Mia trezoreto mean?" I ask him thoroughly enjoying his touch, but also confused at his words.

I understood my new Father earlier when me Cara, it means dear in Italian. I understand Italian because they teach it in Forks.

"Oh, it means 'My Treasure' in Esperanto" Alec says shyly while blushing.

He's adorable.

"Oh, you said you had some idea as to why I fainted Alec?" I ask him, leaning forward into his touch.

He got the idea of what I was trying to do, and he sat beside me putting his arm around my waist. I consciously lean into his embrace, feeling at ease and a draw to him.

"It's because you were in such close proximity to your mate, then he left. It happens to all new partners before they consummate their relationship" Daddy tells me.

Huh, that explains it, I guess. I thought Edward was my mate. That's what he told me at least. But he told me a lot that wasn't true so why should I be surprised.

"Edward always told me I was his mate, I'm just a little confused. I'm sorry." I tell them all.

My gaze lingers on Alec however, who, upon hearing Edward's name growls and pulls me closer to him until I was almost on his lap.

I was blushing like crazy.

"There is no way Edward"

Alec sneered the name

"Could have been your mate, you can't cause your mate harm, or cheat on them, after you've consummated the relationship It's impossible." He tells me, his voice like music to my ears.

Yet still a soft whisper.

"So, you are my true mate?" I question Alec and for the first time I see how beautiful he is.

Almost Angelic.

His dark brown hair is slightly ruffled, and his burgundy eyes seem to glow with pleasure at the thought of me addressing him as my mate.

I blushed in response

"Yes Mio Fragolina" He answered me with a chuckle. He had just called me 'My Little Strawbery' in Italian.

Most likely due to my blushing.

I didn't answer him right away. I had gotten a wave of memories of me and Edward, the pet names he used to use.

All the times he saved me. Why hadn't I picked up on the signs?

I knew why I hadn't, because he hadn't shown any. He was a vampire; he was sneaky, fast and never slept.

He always told me he didn't want me not to turn, I thought it was because he loved me too much.

I was wrong.

"Is that upsetting to you?" He asks me in a sort of pained voice, probably still thinking about what I said about me believing Edward to be my Mate.

"No!" I tell him shocked. How could I be upset that this beautiful creature is my Mate.

"I'm still a bit dizzy" I say to him, not entirely untrue.

I paused for a second, just staring at Alec, and I take in his facial features he had partly full lips.

His face had a roundish charm to it.

It was his eyes however that captivated me the most.

The first time I met him I saw his eyes have a cold calculating look to them.

His Burgundy eyes had looked at me as if he would love nothing more than to drain every drop of blood in my body.

When I look at them now however, he looks unsure, vulnerable, but his eyes held joy as well.

His eyes also held danger; I knew that. However, seeing the darkness in him only made me want this beautiful Angelic Demon more.

"Are you upset that I am your mate?" I ask him in a quiet whisper, trying not to sound as Self-Conscious as I felt.

He probably could have any girl, Human or Vampire. Anyone he chose, yet he was stuck with me.

A boring Human girl, who was plain.

"Are you kidding me?"

He looks at me astounded

"Kendra, you are the most beautiful Woman I've ever met."

He paused for a second, pushing one of my stray hairs back behind my ear.

In that moment, all my doubts about this mate stuff being true. That one little touch made the skin on the back of my neck stand up.

And I knew that this was true, I had finally found a Mate, who would be faithful to me.

"Ever since I first saw you, I knew you were special" He finished pulling me actually on to his lap.

Daddy and the rest of the Volturi took this as their cue to leave.

I burrowed my head into his shoulder and felt at peace.

"Your father would like me to speak to you about something Precious." He begins looking a little lost for words, for once losing his cool demeanor.

"What is it Alec?" I ask him getting a little worried.

My hands start fidgeting so I move them to his hair, hoping he wouldn't notice.

Before answering me, he closes his eyes in pleasure, enjoying me playing with his hair.

"We all were wondering, when you liked to begin you change?" He asks me, his voice alight with life and pleasure.

"When can I?" Alec opens his eyes in surprise at me sounding so eager to become a Vampire.

"The sooner I change Dearest, the sooner we can make what we have real" He looks joyous at what I told him.

I can't wait to change, though I would like to know more about him before I'm in excoriating pain and only desire Human Blood.

"You have no idea how happy that makes me Sweetness" He relaxes more into my touch and I can tell we both feel at peace with each other.

"I would like to know more about you Alec." I told him while we were both still relaxed, I was still quite comfortable on his lap, unwilling to move.

"What would you like to know Kendra?" He looks into my eyes and I catch my breath a bit.

"Your childhood, when you were turned, why? Everything. And then I want to begin my change"

As I spoke he went back to his relaxed state with his eyes closed.

"I was born in England around 800 A.D, I'm the son of an Anglo-Saxon woman named Elizabeth and a Frankish soldier called Luther. I was born a few minutes after Jane. Both me and Jane had strong psychic abilities that were evident even in our human state."

He paused taking a breath

" Aro had shown interest in me and my sister since we were toddlers but decided to wait until we were old enough to turn us the Volturi had already instated its rules about immortal children and so he left us in the care of our parents. Mine and Jane's talents had not taken a focused shape at that point, but bad things happened to people who were unkind to us or our family, and good luck followed those who were friendly to us. Eventually, the superstitious locals found Jane and I too frightening to endure. We were accused as witches and condemned to be burned at the stake"

His eyes held a haunted look as he finally opened them, he probably could not bear them closed to see the haunting visions from his past.

He went on talking a little slower, as if he is still trying to grasp the facts.

"Aro was apprised of the situation by a nomad who knew of his interest in the us. Aro hurried to the village, arriving just in time to interrupt our execution"

The haunted look in his eyes grew more pronounced

"Jane and I were transformed at the age of 13, we were the smallest and youngest in appearance as well. About one decade after we joined the coven, My sister and I displayed their powers for the first time in battle and annihilated the Romanian coven's army of over one hundred recruits."

He closed his eyes again probably trying to get rid of the memories.

He saw my sad face and recoiled

"You must think I'm a monster" He looked horrified at himself and tried to pull away from me.

I took his face in my hands and willed him to look at me, he was unwilling, but I had my ways.

"Alec, my Dearest don't hide your darkness from me, don't think yourself a monster and don't think that I think you're a monster."

He still looked unconvinced, so I did the only rational thing I could

I kissed him

He kissed back

Soft at first

Then he grew more forceful

I moaned slightly as his tongue entered my mouth

He started to pull back a bit

His teeth biting at my bottom lip

He looked at me, lust and desire evident in his face also confusion

"Why did you do that Cariño?" (Darling in Spanish)

"It was the only way to convince you that I didn't think you a monster" I say to him as I blush and bringing my hands to his hair, knowing he likes that.

"Well I'm convinced Love" He replies smirking slightly.

Daddy comes in then and tells us to get ready.

"What for though daddy?" I ask him still unwilling to get off of Alec's lap.

"We are having a ball to introduce you as my daughter to the other Vampires, you will be Royalty and they will all know that Alec is your Mate. "

He tells me smiling gleefully and I know the Cullen's will be there due to his expression.

"Sounds wonderful Daddy, I can't wait" I tell him and actually meaning it.

I finally found a place I truly belong.

"Alec, you may show her to the new room you two shall be sharing, it's in the East wing"

And with that my father leaves.

Alec realizes that I'm in no rush to get off his lap and smiles slightly, he then picks me up and carries me to the most gorgeous room I have ever seen.

There was a huge bed with a Silver comforter on it and huge pillows, the walls were a nice hunter green and everything was accented in silver and black.

There was a black carpet down and it was so fluffy when Alec set me down.

I saw that there were two huge closets, and I immediately thought of Alice.

I wonder if she knew that Edward was cheating, she most likely did.

Putting those thoughts out of my mind I give Alec a quick kiss on the cheek and tell him I'm going to take a quick shower.

He smiles in return and tells me he has to speak to my father for a moment and that he'll be back when I'm ready.
