"Shadow clone jutsu!" The loud cry from our frantic resident ninja echoed throughout the woods as yellow and purple streaked past followed close behind by a black towering mass. Multiple clones poofed into existence alongside the duo rushing in all directions to escape the mass of slithering death behind them.
Arale couldn't help but laugh at the sight before her, Mr Whiskers was freaking out so much, she hadn't had this much fun since disrupting that Atlas squad and making them all look like fools. "This is so fun Naru! We should run away from snakes more often! I'm putting this on the list!" Naruto looked absolutely disgusted and horrified by that notion flashbacks of his encounters with Orochimaru fresh on his mind "N-no Arale we really shouldn't... wait... is that a-
-OH MY GOSH DUCK!!!"
The Viper inspired Grimm was far from done with the orange and yellow meal it saw before it, using its tail it swiped all the clone's out of existence shocking Naruto at the speed and knowledge this thing possessed. "Okay this is ridiculous!! how can it move so swiftly but be that huge, if we weren't in such an enclosed area right now i'd be able to go all out..." But unfortunately Naruto had to take into account the many others participating in the exam and this thing was clearly above entree level.
"Damn..." The blond cursed as he saw it launch towards them after leading them to a dead end near the cliffs. Naruto narrowed his eyes standing in front of the little android a expression of mischief could be seen on his face as he held its jaws in his hands. "ALRIGHT I'M READY NOW GUYS!!!"
(Ben a few minutes ago)
"Let's move quickly Goku!" As scared as as Ben was he would never be able to forgive himself if that monsterous Grimm hurt anybody. "That monster you were talking about right?" Ben raised an eyebrow at his friend "Yeah what about it?" The grin on Goku's face was prominent while he sped up a little beside him forcing Ben to try and keep pace with him.
"I hope it's really strong... Sure has been some time since I got a chance to stretch my legs around here hehehehe~" He grins as Ben shot him a flat look. "Of course you'd get excited about the prospect of facing something that has the possibility of killing us in multiple ways..." Goku looked at him curiously "Well yeah! Life and death situations are serious motivators Ben, when you're trying to reach new heights and test your limits those really are the best kind of fights for that you know!" Ben couldn't help but sweatdrop "This guy... and here I thought Yang had a fighting problem but Goku takes it to a whole nother level man..."
Rushing through the clearing at a fast pace both Teens were pretty caught off guard by what happened next however.
"ALL CLONES FOR THEMSELVES!" Taken completely by surprise Ben and Goku were unprepared for when 'Naruto' collided with them, stars could be seen clearly above their heads each of them sporting lumps on their heads while having swirls in their eyes. "Oww... my aching head... Why does our chakra have to be so dense now.. It's a blessing and a curse damn you boss..." The clone muttered painfully while rubbing his head.
Ben groaned sitting up "Aah... what the heck Naruto.." Standing up he gave Ben a pained look "Don't blame me for this crap Ben! There's a big ass snake back there in the woods and I am NOT experiencing that hellish torture again!" The clone shivered having flashbacks of the forest of death.
Ben had a question mark above his head at the 'Again' part but let it be for now. "Hold up a second... Did you just say can clone yourself..?"
'Naruto' gave Ben a peculiar look confused by his very good question. "Well yeah I mean it's actually a pretty easy technique to get down and th- Heyy.. wait a second buddy... This better not be some form of disrespect because clone lives matter too ya'know!" Ben sweatdropped but blinked hearing the distressed screams remembering the situation they were in, Ben cursed himself for getting distracted.
"Guy's we seriously need to get this right or else we're all gonna bite the big one." The emerald eyed trainee proclaimed a look of seriousness in his eyes as he smirked. "But don't even sweat it because you know what? i've got a plan and it involves all of us, some hard work and a bunch of luck." Goku and the cloned shinobi blinked at him wondering just what that mischievous grin entailed.
"Naruto can your clones share their memories with the creator?"
(Present Time)
Naruto swiftly flipped back grabbing the little purple haired android as a large red pole extended over the gaping bottomless pit he soon managed to stand on perfectly while staring down the adversary with truly cold blue eyes. The Snake Grimm hissed relatively loudly seeing its prey escaping and moved to slam its tail on the power pole only for the force to send the duo skywards. Arale whopped as she did a few flips while Naruto smirked placing his hand behind his back forming a familiar attack as the others gathered below.
"Now Goku!" Ben shouts as he and said Saiyan rushed in with clear intent as the snake hissed aloud manuvering to slam its tail into the two. "On it Ben! now take this!" Goku shouts spinning his power pole around blocking the fangs that dared to try and pierce his flesh smirking back as he struggled to keep his footing in the rough dirt. Goku grinned as he roared back at the beast his own kiai staggering the snake enough as the teenage saiyan acted fast pushing forward with a single quick shove the creature was sent toppling backwards unable to recover fast enough. Never one to sit back while others worked their hardest to succeed Ben steeled his nerves and immedietly got to work taking to the air using two grappling two trees as he began to swing intending to wrap the beast.
The Snake Grimm moved a bit slower yet wasn't about to be denied as it opened its maw to to devour the Tennyson on his second loop around his body. Ben's eyes widened but was plesantly surprised to find Naruto shoot down from above slamming his hand into its face with the fierce shout of "Rasengan!" Unfortunatly powerful as it was their adversary was a tropper as it fought back using the tough resilient skills that came from years of being top predator.
"Naruto!! Watch out!" Ben shouts terrified at what would become of the knucklehead shinobi no one was close enough to reach him before the inevitable. Naruto cursed himself for being careless as he steeled his wits preparing to use a quick substitution but was pleasantly surprised as a purple missile slammed into the snake grimms head knocking swirls into its blood red eyes as Arale glared at the beast "You stay away from Naru Mr Snake or else i'll beat you up so hard you'll be crying home to your mommy!"
The Snake paused in his own attempts to exert dominance over these pesky few the intellegence and slick nature it gained over the years was trying its hardest to make sense of the assorted teens as it ran through its options taking them all in one by one.
Goku's grin and eager fighting stance, Naruto's amusement and foxlike smirk as he spun a kunai in hand, Ben's glare and steeled determination and last but not least Arale's souless eyes staring into the depths of its negativity... and you know what it did? It turned and smashed through the thick forest with enough force and speed to surprise its former foes. Ben noticed something fall in the clearing apparently it had dropped quite a few chest pieces that had rested on its plating during the process.
Ben blinked as did Naruto and Goku. "Well... That just happened didn't it?" Turning their heads to look down at the android they sweat dropped seeing her having the time of her life as she poked a piece of crap with a stick. "N'chaa~ look Mr Whiskers that huge snake left us a gift!"
(Hah! I love this kid!/Shut up Kurama!)
(Ceremony)
"Holy crap and I thought our initiation was gold." Yang laughed as Ben explained half of what happened once they'd been launched. "Yeah I wasn't expecting any of that when coming here..." Yang grinned patting his back "Cheer up Benny you've got this all in the bag from what you just told us i'm sure you'll get into Beacon." Ben looked unsure that old inkling of doubt shirking into his mind until he felt something warm grab his hand. Blinking he traced it back and couldn't help the small blush that lit his cheeks as Ruby sent him an encouraging smile.
He'd been so caught up in his thoughts it slipped his mind he wasn't the only newbie here feeling worried smiling back and squeezing her hand gently he glanced around seeing Jaune's nervousness and Weiss harsh anticipation and worry. Ben took a deep breath and peered up at the headmaster as he began his speech and list of the teams.
Ben felt a grin rise on his face as he heard the names of Team RWBY and JNPR be declared, watching Yang whoop and fist bump a smiling Goku while Naruto whistled obnoxiously much to the annoyance of Weiss Why do I have a feeling he's doing that on purpose?" Ben couldn't help thinking amused as the blonde was yelled at by the haughty girl of which he ignored with practiced ease digging into his ear.
The emerald teen nearly burst out laughing as Jaune was tackled by Nora after nearly being knocked off his feet by Pyrrah's heavy hand and helped up by Ren.
"And last but certainly not least Ben Tennyson, Son Goku, Uzumaki Naruto and Arale Norimaki you four have done outstanding in this exam and have far exceeded me and many of my colleagues expectations from here here own out you will form the team known as BANG, Led by...Ben Tennyson!"
The cheers that erupted from the students nearly left the mop haired teen staggering from shock as he barely registered Ruby smashing into him for a rose empowered hug knocking them both to the ground. "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh! All my first year besties are leading with me beside me and i'm on a team with my sister! this is gonna be the best school years ever known!"
"Yeah... We really did it huh we're this much closer to being heroes..." Ben's smile warmed his onlookers hearts and Naruto gave him an encouraging grin and Goku gave him a proud one. Arale was cheering her heart out immediately stealing the hearts of the gathered teenagers
Yang gave Ben a grin after he stood up wrapping her arm around his neck giving him a noogie. "Told you so~ I hope you're ready to start this year off with a Bang!" The groans that resounded from her made her huff "Oh come on people that was funny and you know it!"
Guess who's back people! I hope you loved this latest chapter and it was worth the wait. I seriously wanna apologize for that btw but writers block and life hold no punches not even for stories such as these.
