Episode 488: Power Rangers Megaforce: Tommy Oliver: Part I
On the Skyship, Cyber Cam tells them about an old ally
"He's a brilliant scientist who helped invented many of the Ranger Powers, including yours" said Cyber Cam
"Who is he?" Troy asked
"His name is Dr. Anton Mercer" said Cyber Cam
"You mean the guy that killed Rossi?!" Troy asked
"Yes" said Cyber Cam "he would be a great addition to the team, almost as brilliant as me"
"Great" said Jake sarcastically
"I'm not sure how I feel about getting an assassin to help us" said Emma
"You are pirates" said Cyber Cam
"Not by choice" said Troy
"You may not have a choice in finding Dr. Mercer either" said Gosei "Alpha 5 has been trying to track him down ever since the assassination. He thinks he found Dr. Mercer, but believes Rossi has too. If Rossi gets his hands on Dr. Mercer, he will have access to the designs of many Ranger Powers, including yours"
"Send us the coordinates" said Troy and they fly the Skyship to them
In the ruins of Reefside City, in the remains of Tommy Oliver's house, an Armada Commander named Desolar searches for something with his X-Borgs and Bruisers when the teens teleport in.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" said Troy and the core 5 flip open their Power Keys and insert them into their Legendary Morphers and turn while Orion opens his Silver Morpher and puts his Power Key in it "GO GO MEGAFORCE!"
"Megaforce" said the Legendary Morpher
"MEGAFORCE RED!" said Troy
"MEGAFORCE BLUE!" said Noah
"MEGAFORCE YELLOW!" said Gia
"MEGAFORCE GREEN!" said Jake
"MEGAFORCE PINK!" said Emma
"MEGAFORCE SILVER!" said Orion
"EARTH'S DEFENDER'S, NEVER SURRENDER!" said the Mega Rangers "POWER RANGERS MEGAFORCE!"
"Mega Sabers & Blasters!" said Troy
"Silver Spear!" said Orion and the teens fight the Armada, forcing them to retreat
"Power Down" said Troy and they demorph. They go through the ruins and find an entrance to the basement, where they find Anton Mercer
"Dr. Mercer" said Troy
"Just kill me" Mercer asked "I'm not going to tell you anything, so just kill me"
"We're not with Rossi" said Troy "we're the Power Rangers"
"Show me your Morphers" said Mercer and they pull out their Morphers "you're the Mega Rangers"
"Yes" said Troy
"Take me to the Skyship" said Mercer "preferably before the Armada comes back"
"All right" said Troy and he prepares to teleport, but Mercer stops him
"Almost forgot" said Mercer and he grabs a silver briefcase "we'll need this"
"What is it?" Noah asked
"I have no idea" said Mercer "but Tommy gave it to me to watch over, so it must be important"
"Who's Tommy?" Jake asked
"You guys really need to learn about your heritage" said Mercer "all right, I'm ready" and they teleport to the Skyship
On the Skyship, the teens and Cyber Cam gather around Mercer and the briefcase
"I think I know how to open it now" said Mercer "give me the Green Power, White Power, Red Zeo, Red Turbo, and Black Dino Keys" and Troy summons them and hands them over to Mercer, who turns them to key mode and inserts them in the briefcase, which unlocks it. Mercer opens up and in it are a bunch of Morphers and a hard drive.
"What are these?" Troy asked
"Tommy's Morphers" said Mercer "his two Gold Power Morphers, his Red Zeonizer, his Red Turbo Morpher, and his Brachio Dino Brace. And I think I know what this is" as he took the hard drive and plugged it into the computer
"What?" Noah asked
"The History of the Power Rangers" said Mercer "along with a database cataloging every known Ranger Power, weapon, and Zord. Let's watch the video, you can look at the database later." and a video starts playing
"I'm Tommy Oliver" said Tommy in the video "and if you're not me, then I am gone and the Final Battle is about to begin. What you're about to see is a history of my life. My history as a Power Ranger. My story begins in Angel Grove" and the video shows Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, and Kimberly teleporting into the Command Center, while Tommy keeps talking "when 5 teenagers with attitude were recruited to fight the evil space sorceress, Rita Repulsa. They harnessed the Power of the dinosaurs to become the Earth's first Power Rangers" the video shows footage of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers "under the guidance of the incredible being Zordon, Trini, Zack, Kimberly, Billy, and Jason bravely defended Earth, which forced Rita to create her own Ranger." the video shows Kimberly coming up to Tommy "Hey Tommy I'm Kimberly and I was wondering, do you want to hang out a the Juice Bar after school?"
"Sure, it's a date" said the video of Tommy. Tommy walks out and is attacked by Putties. He beats them up and Rita appears.
"Tommy I have chosen you to be my Green Ranger" said Rita and they teleport to her palace
"Her magic" said Tommy in the video "combined with my lack of faith, was too strong, I couldn't fight it" the video shows Tommy morphing into the Green Ranger and attacking the other Rangers "she commanded me to destroy the Power Rangers and I almost succeeded"
"Tommy" said Kimberly in the video "we know your secret, we know you're the Green Ranger"
"Is that so Pink Ranger?" said video of Tommy "you can tell the rest of your friends that you will be destroyed"
"But my friends never gave up" said Tommy in the background as footage of the Red and Green Power Rangers fighting appeared "they helped me destroy the Sword of Darkness and I was freed"
"What happened?" the video of Tommy said
"Power Down" the video of Jason said "You were evil"
"I'm so sorry man" the video of Tommy said
"It's alright" the video of Jason said and the other Rangers, unmorphed walk up.
"And that's when I joined the team" Tommy narrated as footage of the six Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fighting together appeared "unfortunately, Rita had a candle that ended up draining my Power, and although I regained it for a time, I soon lost it again" footage switched to the White Power Ranger "so Zordon gave me new Powers, as the White Ranger and the leader." the video continues playing showing Lord Zedd and Serpentera
"A new villain" narrated Tommy "Lord Zedd was trying to destroy Earth" the video switches to the Rangers retrieving the Sword of Light and meeting with Rocky, Adam, and Aisha in the Command Center "Zordon sent us on a quest to get the Sword of Light, although he didn't tell us what for. When we returned he revealed that Jason had matured enough in Christ that Zordon wanted him to let Rocky take over. Zordon then said either Zack or Trini was a traitor and the other one such a passionate hatred for God that they could no longer remain on the team. I used the Sword of Light to transfer the Powers. Zack and Trini joined a government Ranger team, EAGLE, becoming the Red and Yellow EAGLE Rangers, who we clashed with on occasion. Not long after, Rita and Zedd married and then cloned me to create another evil Green Ranger. When I broke Tom of the spell he was sent to the Middle East to protect Christians who were persecuted. When Rito Revolto joined Rita and Zedd, the new team fought bravely, but Rito destroyed our Zords. Not long after EAGLE destroyed our Powers. A Ranger never gives up so Zordon sent us on a quest to find Ninjor, an ancient warrior, who gave us new Powers and new Zords. Later Kimberly disobeyed Zordon and was stripped of her Powers, who were given to my new friend Katherine. When Rita and Rito's father, Master Vile, destroyed our Power Coins, Zordon split us up to search for the pieces of the Zeo Crystal and had the Power Rangers of Aquitar watch Earth while we searched. When our search was complete they left and we had the Zeo Crystal, although Aisha had left and was replaced by Tanya. Just in time because we were under attack" the footage shows the Command Center blow up "we succeeded just as Rita and Zedd destroyed the Command Center. Beneath the ruins, we found Zordon, Alpha, and the Zeo Crystal, which guided us into the next chapter of our lives as Rangers"
The footage showed the adventures of the Zeo Rangers "The Machine Empire had chased Rita and Zedd away and became our enemies. When it was revealed that Kimberly had become the Pink EAGLE Ranger, I struggled with my emotions until Ninjor helped me. Billy was also removed from the team when he tried to murder Trey, the Gold Zeo Ranger. Since we needed help, we turned to an old friend, Jason and assumed the Power of the Gold Zeo Ranger. Later a being known as Auric the Conqueror appeared to help them. At the end of career as Zeo Rangers, Rita and Zedd chased away the Machine Empire and retook the Moon Palace. We took on the Turbo Powers. A space pirate named Divatox launched an attack on Earth and when Rocky was injured so a kid named Justin took his Powers. Zordon and Alpha 5 left and were replaced by Dimitira and Alpha 6. It was also revealed that Billy had become the Blue EAGLE Ranger. We were joined by the Blue Senturion."
The footage switches to the Turbo Rangers. "Later, it was time for Adam, Tanya, Kat, and me to go to college, so we had Carlos, Ashley, Cassie, and TJ replace us. They were joined by Dimitira, who became the White Turbo Ranger, and the mysterious Phantom Ranger who gave them new Zords. Divatox was tough and her Piranhatrons relentless. They took out the Power Chamber and their Powers with it. She headed to space, to join Dark Specter, and the Earth's ultimate destruction"
The footage shows the Rangers going into space "the Rangers, except Justin, went into space on a dangerous mission to save Zordon and the Earth. Space is treacherous and the line between friend and foe is a thin one. Andros turned out to be more than a friend, he was a leader. They faced a new foe, Astronema, and Andros brought them the Astro Morphers to create a new team, the Space Rangers. The Rangers freed Zhane, the Silver Space Ranger, and he was noble addition to the team. The final showdown with the EAGLE occurred, with the Captain Mitchell, the Green EAGLE Ranger, betraying them and turning them in to Congress, for treason. Zordon sacrificed himself to save the universe and to free Astronema, who was actually Andros' sister Karone. Zordon was revealed to be Jesus Himself, as well as Ninjor being the Father, Auric and Dimitira were angels and the Phantom Ranger was the Apostle John. Zordon left this universe to sit at His Father's right hand, although he assured us he was always with us. I formed an alliance with the government, codenamed Project Hexagon, where I built new Morphers, but first we punished the EAGLE Rangers and the President for attacking the Rangers. Project Hexagon created the many of the Angel Rangers Powers as well as the Dino Thunder Powers"
The video shows footage of the Galaxy Rangers "Meanwhile, Terra Venture went on a voyage into space. When it arrived at Mirinoi, 5 individuals, Leo, Kai, Damon, Maya, and Kendrix used the Quasar Sabers to become the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. They would have to combine their Powers if they were to defeat their enemies. They were joined by the vengeful Magna Defender, who sacrificed himself to save the colony. His powers were given to Leo's brother Mike. When Kendrix sacrificed herself to save Cassie, Karone took Kendrix's place on the team. When Trakeena tried to destroy the colony, the Red Ranger and his Battlizer was the only hope. With Trakeena destroyed, the people of Terra Venture were forever grateful to the Rangers of the Lost Galaxy. The Quasar Sabers restored Kendrix and the original Magna Defender. The Galaxy Rangers then met the original team of Rangers, the Ancient Rangers"
The video switches to footage of the Lightspeed Rangers "Meanwhile, on Earth, an elite team was being put together to face a legion of demons. They were created by Captain Mitchell and Billy and while they were suppose to overthrow the government, they ended up protecting the world from demons. The Lightspeed Rangers needed one more to complete their mission. That's when Ryan joined the team, although he was like me, originally evil, and needed to be convinced to join the team. Their scientist, Ms. Fairweather was given the Powers of the Demon Hunter. They sealed the demons away. A villain named Mesogog attacked Project Hexagon's lab and destroyed it"
The video starts playing again, showing the Time Force Rangers "the Time Force Rangers, four of which were from Venus" said Tommy in the video "fought mutants and captured them, and were later joined by Eric, who needed to learn that being a Power Ranger was about serving God. The Rangers finished off the mutants, except for two that surrendered" the video showed the Wild Force Rangers "the Wild Force Rangers fought the Orgs who were set on destroying Earth. One Org was later to actually revealed to be a human named Merrick, one of the few humans that fought alongside Zordon 4,000 years ago. He became the Lunar Wolf Ranger. They were joined by an angel named Animus, who could become his own Megazord and with Zordon and Ninjor's help, finished the Orgs"
"3 unlikely ninja students" narrated Tommy as footage of the Ninja Storm Rangers played "became Power Rangers and commanded the Powers of Earth, Air, and Water. It was the Power of Thunder that gave them their biggest challenge. But their greatest enemies proved to be their greatest allies. Cam, went through trials and temptations to gain the Power of the Green Samurai Ranger. In their final battle against Lothor, the Rangers sacrificed their Powers"
"Hey" said Cyber Cam "why wasn't I mentioned?"
"You're not essential to the story" said Mercer "now be quiet"
Tommy comes back on screen "with the return of Mesogog, it became necessary to invoke the Power of the Dino Gems. Conner McKnight, Ethan James, and Kira Ford harnessed the Dino Gems to become the Power Rangers Dino Thunder. They gained control of the Biozords from Mesogog, turning them into a new set of Dinozords. Not long after Mesogog discovered the Black Dino Gem and tried to get me to release it. He didn't realize you don't choose them, they choose you" and the video shows Tommy yelling "DINO THUNDER, POWER UP!" and Tommy continues narrating "once again I became a Power Ranger, the Black Dino Ranger. But Mesogog would not be content until he got his own Dino Gem, and he found the White Dino Gem and warped it to his cruel nature. Before he could use it, a young man named Trent Mercer stumbled upon it and became the evil White Dino Ranger"
"Any relation to you?" Troy asked
"He's my son" said Mercer and they gasp when the video shows the White Dino Ranger
"Why does your son have the same suit that that psychopath Mikoto has?" Gia asked
"Keep watching" said Mercer
"Trent proved to be our toughest challenge yet" said Tommy in the video "Trent captured many of our Zords and froze me amber, leaving me stuck morphed for a while. An accident caused by Mesogog eventually freed Trent from the control of the White Dino Gem and he joined the team. But Mesogog had other plans and cloned Trent's Powers and gave them to a psychopath named Dr. Mikoto Nakadai"
"That's where he came from?" Noah asked as Mercer nods, knowing where this is going
"With a new evil Ranger" said Tommy in the video "we had to up our game. We got ahold of the Triassic Shield and fused all of our Powers into Conner's to create the Triassic Ranger. With the Triassic Ranger we were able to temporarily defeat the evil White Ranger. But it took a showdown with Trent himself to defeat Dr. Nakadai once and for all"
"So much for that" muttered Gia
"You Mercers aren't very good at making your kills stay dead, are you?" Jake asked
"Quiet Jake" said Troy
"Just when we fought we were ready to defeat Mesogog" said Tommy in the video "we made a shocking discovery" and the video shows Mercer turning into Mesogog and then back into Mesogog "Dr. Anton Mercer was Mesogog"
"What?!" the teens exclaimed
"It makes sense" said Noah "you're really Mesogog, you wanted in here to take our Powers"
"No!" said Mercer
"You betrayed us all" said Jake "just like you did your own son"
"NO!" said Mercer
"Jake, Noah, Orion" said Troy "throw him in the brig"
"Just keep watching, please" said Mercer
"Fine" said Troy "Jake, if he tries anything… teleport him to the Delta Base, I'm sure Rossi would love to see him"
"We discovered Mesogog was the Mr. Hyde to Dr. Mercer's Dr. Jekyll" said Tommy "and thankfully Mesogog found a way to separate them. Haley created the Pink Wind and Dino Rangers, which were used by former villains Marah and Kapri. Together, we defeated Mesogog once and for all, but at the cost of our Powers"
The video shows footage of SPD "Meanwhile in the newly rebuilt New York City, which had been renamed New Tech City, SPD established the Delta Base and their Earth Branch. Their first team of Rangers, known as the A-Squad, were highly trained and very skilled. Their Commander, Anubis Cruger decided to create a B-Squad team of Rangers and made SPD Cadets Sky Tate, Bridge Carson, and Sydney Drew along with modern day Robin Hoods Jack Landors and Elizabeth Delgado his new team in a fight against the evil Emperor Grumm, and none too soon, as Grumm captured the A-Squad. Soon Cruger himself was forced to become a Ranger. Zordon later made a young boy named Sam the Omega Ranger, giving him one of the most powerful Morphers ever created. SPD Earth's chief scientist, Dr. Kat Manx became the Kat Ranger. It was later discovered that Grumm worked for a powerful demon called the Omni and his real mission was to provide the Omni with a powerful body. The B-Squad soon found the A-Squad, but quickly discovered that they had betrayed everyone and joined Grumm. The A-Squad captured Commander Cruger and turned him over to Grumm. The B-Squad contained the A-Squad but were soon captured themselves. Kat, Sam, and a newly powered Boom led the defense of New Tech City, soon joined by Project Hexagon, and Zordon's new Nova Ranger, with Powers equal to the Omega Ranger. The B-Squad managed to escape and with Cruger's help took down the Omni. Cruger then finished off Grumm in a final duel, managing to contain him without even Morphing. Jack retired from SPD to be with his girlfriend Ally and help the poor. Cruger promoted Sky to Red Ranger and Bridge to Blue Ranger"
"Soon an earthquake released the Knight Wolf from the Underworld" said Tommy as footage of the Miracle Force showed "Udonna, the White Miracle Ranger gave five young people Morphers to become the Miracle Force. Udonna soon lost her Powers, but briefly regained them in to defeat Morticon. Daggeron, the Solaris Knight soon joined the Rangers. Koragg was soon revealed to be Leanbow, Udonna's husband, and Nick was revealed to be their son, Bowen. Nick soon learned how to unite with the dragon Fire Heart"
"That's what Fire Heart can do?" Troy asked "no wonder the Snow Prince wanted us to find him"
"Udonna regained her Powers and Leanbow gained the Power of the Wolf Warrior" continued Tommy "They briefly teamed up with the SPD Rangers, where Ally became the Gold SPD Ranger and Sky used his father's Red SPD Powers. The Miracle Mother, previously known as Rita Repulsa, sent the Snow Prince to warn them of Octomus. Together, they defeated Octomus, but lost their Powers in the process"
"Meanwhile" said Tommy as the footage shifted to Operation Overdrive "an archeologist named Andrew Hartford accidentally released the demons Moltor and Flurious in an effort to gain control of the Corona Aurora. The Sentinel Knight tasked Hartford with protecting the Crown and its Jewels, and helped him create Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. Their mission was to hunt down the missing Jewels. It was tough, and they lost the Crown and one of the Jewels along the way. They were joined by Tyzonn of Mercury, who became the Mercury Ranger. Thrax, the son of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, joined Overdrive's villains together in an alliance and managed to cut off their connection to the Morphing Grid. To replace the Overdrive Rangers, the Sentinel Knight brought 5 Rangers together to protect the Jewels: Adam Park, the Mighty Morphin Black Ranger, Tori Hanson, the Blue Wind Ranger, Kira Ford, the Yellow Dino Ranger, Xander Bly, the Green Miracle Ranger, and Bridge Carson, who had recently been promoted to SPD's Red Ranger. The Overdrive Rangers found Excelsior, a sword that can instantly defeat either an angel or a demon, and gave it to the Sentinel Knight, giving him great Power. Alpha 6 repaired the Overdrive Rangers Powers and together, they defeated the alliance. But the Rangers were not enough to defeat Thrax, and Zordon used his Powers as the Red Legend Ranger to finish him off. Mack Hartford was later revealed to not be Andrew's son, but actually an android created by him. This allowed him to unite with the Sentinel Knight. Flurious managed to gain control of the Crown and the Jewels, but Mack sacrificed himself to defeat him. The Sentinel Knight used the Corona Aurora to revive Mack and turn him human"
"At the Pai Zhuq Academy" said Tommy as the video showed footage of the Power Rangers Jungle Fury "a student named Jarrod accidentally released a demon named Dai Shi and became possessed by him. Casey Rhodes, Theo Martin, and Lily Chillman became the Power Rangers Jungle Fury. They were later joined by their mentor RJ, who became the Wolf Ranger. RJ's old friend Dominic became the Rhino Ranger. Dai Shi managed to create three Rangers of his own, the Elephant, Bat, and Shark Rangers. These Rangers were unique in that no one wore the suit, they were formed from the Elephant, Bat, and Shark Junglezords. The Rangers managed to gain control of these new Rangers. Casey managed to help Jarrod get Dai Shi out of him and joined the Rangers along with one of Dai Shi's generals, Camille. Together, they were able to seal Dai Shi into the Abyss of Evil"
"Overall, 2009 was peaceful for the Power Rangers" said Tommy "but not for the world, as 2009 was the year the geopolitical sphere was set on fire. Israel wiped out Damascus, so in turn several countries tried to wipe out Israel, and were wiped out themselves. During this year, we attempted to resurrect the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to combat the demon Repulsa, who had possessed a young woman named Ruby"
"We barely finished them in time" said Tommy as footage of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2.0 played "and Ruby Repulsa managed to steal my Power Coin. While I was without my Powers, Project Hexagon managed to create the EAGLE Powers with an actual connection to the Morphing Grid. We also created the Angel Force Powers and perhaps the most incredible Powers of all, the Megaforce Powers, who could transform into any Ranger if needed. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers managed to seal Ruby Repulsa in a space dumpster with some help from Zordon and the Miracle Mother."
"If you are seeing this, all is lost" said Tommy "but there is hope, the Megaforce Rangers will be able to protect you until Zordon returns. Don't lose hope and may the Power protect you, always" and the video ends
"Wow" said Jake
"What about the Samurai Squad?" Noah asked
"Tommy gave me this briefcase before they became active" said Mercer "now I think Desolar is back, you better go get him"
"If you think we're going to leave a former villain and an assassin alone in the Skyship…" began Jake
"Don't worry" said Cyber Cam "I'll watch him" and the teens teleport away
Near the Remnant, Desolar is rampaging, venting over losing Mercer when the teens teleport in
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" said Troy and the core 5 flip open their Power Keys and insert them into their Legendary Morphers and turn while Orion opens his Silver Morpher and puts his Power Key in it "GO GO MEGAFORCE!"
"Megaforce" said the Morphers
"MEGAFORCE RED!" said Troy

"Drago Sword!" said Orion and they battle the monster.
"Z-REX BLASTER: FULL POWER!" said Troy and they combine their weapons "FIRE!" and they destroyed the monster.
Levira uses her Maximizer to make the monster grow. Troy pulls out his Legendary Morpher and types 2580 Call as Orion inserts the Quantum Key into his Silver Morpher and types 000 Call
"Summon Skyship" said the Legendary Morpher and the Skyship appears and the Rangers jump in
"Summon Q-Rex 2.0" said the Silver Morpher
"RELEASE THE ZORDS!" said Troy "SKYSHIP!"
"WHEELER ZORD!" said Gia
"SUB ZORD!" said Emma
"RACER ZORD!" said Jake
"JET ZORD!" said Noah
On Venus, the Transwarp Megazord walks up to the launch bay. The launch pad locks the Megazord in place and his armor comes off and lands on the end of the runway and creates a portal to Earth. The Q-Rex 2.0 approaches the runway. The Transwarp Megazord closes its visor and swings its fist at the Q-Rex 2.0 and sends it flying towards the portal
On Earth, a portal opens in front of a Ferris Wheel and the Q-Rex 2.0 flied out and Orion jumped in
"Q-REX 2.0!" said Orion and he inserts the Quantum Key into his center console."Q-REX DINOZORD!" and he inserts the Green Power Key into the center console
"ZORDS, COMBINE!" said Troy "LEGENDARY MEGAZORD, READY!"
"Q-REX MEGAZORD, READY!" said Orion and he inserts the White Dino Key into his center console. The Megazords battle the Commander, but can't beat it.
"Rangers" said Mercer "use the Dino Keys in your consoles"
"But the White Dino Key will just activate my drill" said Orion
