Okay, now we are about to get close! Hang on tight!

A few moments later, Gerald and Phoebe were sitting outside Gerald's home as they were comparing all the notes they wrote as Gerald was looking over everything he wrote down. "Okay, so from what we've seen, there's this girl who looks like you... who could be your half-sister..."

"And from what daddy told me, he was once a member of that farm back in Kentucky, like Mr. Sawyer was." Phoebe said.

"And Mr. Sawyer said that Lila and Lulu were born from the same farm, but his wife, known as Serena, got arrested along with her mother before any more damage was done, and both your dad and Mr. Sawyer managed to escape." Gerald said.

"But... Daddy didn't know about the second child he birthed... so, technically, I'm a younger sister to a girl I don't even know or even recall. Maybe the girl wasn't originally a girl at one point, I mean, Mr. Sawyer did say that Serena wanted girls to be his heirs, so... that much we don't know." Phoebe sighed.

"But what we do know is that Serena came back apologetically and asked to take care of one of their children for redemption, which is how she acquired Lulu." Gerald said... before pausing. "You know, there's something inconsistent from what you told me of your father's version of the story and Mr. Sawyer's version. Did your father say anything about meeting this Serena woman since?"

Phoebe paused to think... before her eyes widened. "N-no. In fact, he told me the last time he saw her was when she was hauled off to jail!"

Gerald snapped his fingers. "Then that proves it then! Serena wasn't going on a redemption quest. She just wanted to take Lila and Lulu away from Mr. Sawyer so that she could continue her line!"

Phoebe gasped as she covered her mouth. "Do you really think so? But... how did Serena escape from jail in the first place?"

Gerald paused as he tried to think. "Hmmm... maybe her mother got arrested, and her daughter was determined to continue the services she made in her place, but she wanted a good daughter to raise for her own... but she couldn't get both of them, so she had to settle for one..."

"And that would be Lulu!" Phoebe gasped. "Of course. Lila and Lulu may act similar, but even a twin can have one major difference."

"Exactly!" Gerald gave a nod as he grinned. "So, let's assume that Serena took Lulu and raised her by her own methods of teaching. For all we know, the teaching of mother and daughter and the Verisity name may have gone on for a VERY long time, and we would not have noticed it."

"And Lila and Mr. Sawyer have said that they moved out at least a couple of times... do you think Lulu visited them in their new addresses every year?" Phoebe asked.

"That's what I think." Gerald paused. "Disguised as simple family visits for a couple weeks or a month, could have very well been a business trip, to find boys suitable for her..."

"...to take away from their homes..." Phoebe gasped. "So, basically, Lulu is running a hidden kidnapping operation and doing... doing..."

"...who knows what..." The African American boy shuddered. "Man, if what Mr. Sawyer told us is true, then maybe behind their backs, Lulu flirts with a pretty, cute boy that she happens to meet, sways them into doing whatever she wants, eventually culminating into the boys wanting to live with her..."

"...getting married at a young age, only to be workers and slaves to a farm..." Phoebe sighed. "We just figured out Lulu's true operation. And the girl... the one who looks like me, maybe she is Lulu's underling or one of Serena's 'daughters' that wasn't good enough to be the top person."

Gerald paused as he put his notes aside and got up. "Well, that would explain a lot... Lulu wasn't coming over to visit family. She was looking for someone else to add to her farm life... someone who could be a potential suitor..."

"And..." Phoebe looked down. "I think we both know who Lulu had her eye on. Even HE mentioned her name quite a lot..."

Gerald gulped as his face changed his demeanor, both of them saying at the same time, "Arnold."

Phoebe nodded. "What if, when Lulu noticed Arnold, she found him pretty cute, and swayed him over? From what you told me about it, Arnold seemed to really enjoy having Lulu over."

Gerald gulped as he held his head. "All of a sudden, I feel sick to the stomach. You don't think that Arnold and Lulu have..."

Phoebe looked down in sadness. "He could well have done, but maybe it wasn't his fault. Maybe it was the sway of Lulu that got him... I mean, I don't blame her, I'm sure ANY girl would be willing to want Arnold."

"Y-yeah, he is such a sweetheart." Gerald nodded, before sighing. "But still, to think..." Gerald's eyes widened. "Wait... what if Lulu's trying to convince Arnold about moving away with her now? What if he actually considers it?"

Phoebe gasped as she put her hand on her lips. "Do you really think that?"

"It's the only logical thing that makes sense! And maybe that's why Helga's missing! That girl who looks like you, she must have either came at the same time or a couple days later, to keep an eye on Lulu to make sure her plans succeeded... and..." Gerald started.

Phoebe gasped. "And that's why Helga's missing! Lulu and the other girl must have figured out Helga loved Arnold, and needed her out of the picture! For all we know, Helga could very well be held hostage!"

Gerald gave a firm nod as he got up. "Well, I guess we solved the case! And now we know everything about what happened."

"And I think I know what we should do." Phoebe looked down as she got up, a look of worry replaced by a look of determination. "Gerald, go over to Arnold's house and ask for him. Try to tell his grandfather that something screwy is going on with Arnold!"

"What about you?" Gerald asked as Phoebe picked up her backpack.

"I'm going over to the police and giving them this new evidence, let them know something bad is happening!" Phoebe said as she looked both ways. "I know this is going to sound risky, but we have to take that risk right now!"

"B-bu-" Gerald started to say, but Phoebe was already running off as the boy sighed. "-at least let me come with you to say that the person on the tape isn't you..."

A few minutes later, Phoebe was turning a corner as she looked around and sighed in relief. "Okay, if I can just get to the police station and tell them what's really going on, and that Helga's not dead, but kidnapped, along with the notes of Lulu's crimes, maybe there'll be hope yet."

With a firm nod, Phoebe started to walk along the sidewalk, where some gaps in the fence were seen. Phoebe panted a bit as she started to go as fast as her little legs could carry her, trying to go past each gap, only glancing for a second at her reflection in the gap as...

Phoebe suddenly stopped as she raised an eyebrow in confusion. She looked over at the last gap she passed, only to see her face staring right at her. Both faces gasped as they retracted back. Phoebe held her heart in shock, wondering what was going on. Curiously, she put a hand over the gap, as another hand did so at the same time, much to Phoebe's notice. She wiggled her fingers. The hand on the other side did the same.

Phoebe narrowed her eyes in suspicion as she turned around and did a moonwalk past the gap. The girl that was similar to her did that same moonwalk in synchronization. Phoebe then slid over, as did the girl on the other side as they looked at each other with a raised eyebrow. Phoebe and the other girl kept their eyes on each other as they turned their bodies around... and smacked the left cheeks of their butts. Phoebe frowned as she turned her head, with the other girl watching from the other side of the fence, wondering what she was about to do.

Phoebe smirked, getting an idea as she stuck her tongue out, making a funny face. She immediately turned around, only for the girl to make the same funny face just in time. Phoebe and the girl immediately snapped their fingers in annoyance as Phoebe and the girl turned their bodies. Phoebe and the girl then grabbed their glasses and took them off as they tossed them in the air. They then caught them and put them on quickly as they glared at each other.

And then... the girl and Phoebe put on huge smiles and did a dumb wave to each other... before narrowing their eyes. Phoebe and the girl then did a little wave motion with their hands, with Phoebe starting to do some break dance moves, which the girl stopped for a moment to watch in amazement, only when Phoebe got up to do the final pose, the girl did that same pose.

Phoebe and the girl then put their hands on their chins, the former trying to think of an idea. Immediately, Phoebe reached for her backpack, as the girl on the other side did the same. Amazingly, both backpacks were of the same design. Keeping an eye on each other, both girls opened their backpacks, reached a hand inside... and then, pulled their hands out of their backpacks with raised fists... only for Phoebe to use her leg to kick the other girl in the shin.

"OWWW!" The girl yelled as she held her shin and fell down.

"AH HA!" Phoebe snapped her fingers with a smirk. "I SO knew you weren't me!"

Fifi groaned as she looked up towards the angry Phoebe. "Shucks, I figured you weren't a mirror, bu-"

All of a sudden, Phoebe grabbed Fifi by the neck, choking her as her eyes narrowed. "Okay, you got a lot of questions to answer!"

Fifi yelped as she noticed the fire in the girl's eyes, before smirking. "Ooooo, baby, you're such a turn-on!"

Phoebe tried to ignore that comment as she tried to think of the first question in her mind.

And that's the end of this chapter! And yes, I've been wanting to do this Mirror Routine since I put Fifi in the story! It's a classic staple of comedy. Well, I won't tell you what'll happen in the next chapter, but I will assure you, things are going to be looking up! Until next time!
