After roughly an… what I want to say was an hour, me and my newly trained up team, accompanied by Vincent, stepped out of the cave and all took fairly deep breaths of fresh air. Being stuck in a cave like that for a prolonged amount of time really messes up the sinuses, because within about half a minute of our deep breaths, almost in a comical manner, we all started sneezing like crazy. Surprised to find out, Zangoose sneeze cuter than Sewaddle, because Blue was a little squeaker with that!
"Blue," I say to him, "When we're done with this championship thing, we have to get videos of you on MewTube, you are fucking hilarious and adorable sometimes."
Blue sneezed a good few more times back before shaking his head, his expression a good little bit miserable as he looked back to me. He quickly went from miserable to annoyed, and rolled his eyes before his collar blinked on. "Oh, haha. I sneeze and am cute, that's definitely something never seen on the internet before," He let out.
Me and Vincent just laugh again before the latter reached down and patted Blue on the back. "Ah, don't worry Blue I doubt Walter would actually do that. He seems to have more care for you than that."
I nodded quickly, giving a reassuring pat on the head to Blue. "Yeah, don't worry bud. You may be perfect for it, but I respect you way too much to just… exploit your existence for a few bucks online." I ruffle up his fur some before taking my hand back, looking over to Silky on my side. "And you too, Silky. I won't do anything like that. You guys are awesome, and the best way for people to know that is by y'all kicking the Gym Leader's asses!"
A little surprising to me, that got some cheers from my Pokémon. I guess that really got their blood pumping! Although, wait a second… Do Grass-Types have blood? Y'know what, not a topic to discuss without Dallas, I need someone with proper understanding of the stuff to figure it out. Speaking of, I wonder what they've been up to for the past hour? Should probably meet back up with them at some point, I've done enough training for now.
I reach into my pocket and take out my phone, flipping into my map of the region. "Alright, let's see… Huh, guess we found another entrance of the cave, we're a bit further in the woods," I explain, looking up to the forest. "This is actually a weirder area… I haven't seen anything like this in those exploration videos."
Vincent glanced about and scratched his head, pulling out a Great Ball from his bag. "Well, if we need it, I got Steel here and can take a look overhead," he offered.
"Oh, really?" I asked, "You have a flyer? Yeah, please head up to see where we are. Caves are fucking perilous sometimes, confusing as hell."
He grinned and nodded, tossing the ball to the grass, leading it to pop open and send out a beam of light to soon show a rather large Skarmory. Vince came up to the Pokémon, giving the avian a pat on the chest before heading around to hop on it's back. "I'll head up real quick, see where we got turned around," He explained before heading straight up into the air.
I cover my eyes from the sun as I watch him go off, walking over to a tree and plopping myself down. "Well," I say to the Pokémon around my, "Guess we just have to wait." I chuckle some looking down at my phone, switching through to some random apps. At least, I would be flipping through my apps if it wasn't for my phone suddenly freaking out, the screen shooting through static like crazy. I cock my head in confusion and look up, glancing to Blue and seeing his fur had suddenly puffed out of nowhere! I reach up and feel my hair, instantly getting shocked by it, like static electricity. "What in the hell…" I ask quietly, seconds before my answer was answered.
There was a near deafening sound of thunder, almost occurring right on top of me, followed by a slightly too loud roar. Naturally, I jump and run a good few yards from the tree, turning to face whatever it was that had landed. Standing on a thick branch several feet off the ground, with blue electricity sparking through its fur, was a certain mythical Pokémon I had read about thoroughly through school. Zeraora, the Thunderclap Pokémon.
Completely awestruck at what I was witnessing, I could barely react to it in the slightest way imaginable besides a very simple, and very ignorant, "Uh… hi?"
Zeraora just glared at me for half a minute before jumping down from the tree, standing at the base with electricity leading down a set of large claws coming from each paw. Out of nowhere, both Blue and Silky had jumped in front of me, the former hissing and speaking through his collar, "Oi! Back off, Sparky! May be outmatched, but will protect Walter!"
The Mythical just stared at Blue before narrowing his eyes, shaking his head. "Zeraaaaa!" It roared out, causing my to jump again. The entire situation was far more than I ever thought about being in.
Blue seemed confused before glancing back to me. "He… Is warning. Not a threat to you."
I blink quickly as my glance finally turns away from Zeraora and to Blue. "Wait a second, what? Warn me about what?"
"Oooooora! Zeeeer!"
It took a moment before Blue translated. "Says he sensed bad people. People are after him and other Myrhicals, but only one."
"Zeraaaooo. Oooor!"
"Says it was…" Blue paused for a second before looking up at me. "New guy. Vincent, part of bad group."
It takes a second for me to process what Blue was saying before narrowing my eyes in clear anger, my chest heating up from the realization of betrayal. "That… Fucker! Vincent! Who the hell could I have just… Dammit!" I shout out before taking a deep breath, exhaling slowly before nodding. "Alright. Alright! Guess I just have to… Something!" I was out of the realm of proper thought.
"Zer!" Zeraora roared at me, causing me to come back some. "Zer-Raaa!"
I glance down and wait for Blue. "Says shut up. He returns. Is leaving, senses strong Pokémon with him."
Taking what the Zeraora was saying in easily, I just nodded looking back up to the sky. "Uh, alright. Okay. Don't worry, I'll take care of him, and the rest of those Vision asshats."
Zeraora returned the nodded before letting out a last roar, it's body getting covered in the bright blue electricity again before vanishing before my own eyes. I feel my hair go back down, Blue's fur mats again, and I look to see my phone returning to normal once again. There is a moment of pure silence in the woods as I process what had just happened. I was met by a Mythical who warned me this guy I just met was part of the group I know are evil. They're collecting other Mythical Pokémon. Hell, that basically includes the Legendaries, doesn't it? Collecting all of them is quite… Something worse than I could imagine.
I glance at the shadow of the Skarmory coming back down from the sky, spotting Vincent on the back before he jumped off. "Good news," he exclaimed with a smile, "We're not all that far off from the actual roads! Probably a ten minute walk through the woods straight that way." He pointed down to a lighter set of foliage in the trees.
I'm at an impasse now. Do I call him out or try and find out more? For now, best to get out of Pinwheel and find the others. Best to have others with me. "Yeah, nice. Let's go."
