A/N:
I have to admit that I had no plans whatsoever for what happens next when I posted Sanji getting abducted. Then I figured that he's probably in need of an assertion of independence right about now because all he's done lately is being protected and taken care of. He can't be saved every single time if he still wants to be Sanji. XP
anniegirl132 chapter 20 . Aug 28
Oh, so the dark haired Sanji is an "evil" version? Or at least something that's messing with sword Sanji.
There we go, evil version. XD
Just a warning though, depiction of violence in this chapter.
Sanji Kitetsu Chapter 30
"I need to meet up with Captain Smoker as soon as possible, so please take care of these little ones for me. They all need to be cleaned." Tashigi says to the marine soldier as she lays Sanji next to two other blades, one of them he recognizes to be the one Zoro tossed overboard at Cactus Island. What was the name?... Kashu?
"Yes Ma'am!" The soldier salutes.
"Oh, the red one is said to be cursed, so do be careful. Those tend to be more blood thirsty." Tashigi warns over her shoulder as she leaves the room.
"... Yes... Ma'am." The soldier salutes again with reluctance. He sighs when the door closes and reaches out to Sanji with a visibly shaking hand.
Don't touch me. Sanji hisses, and as expected, it goes unheard. The soldier picks him up with both hands, one wrapping around his hilt, ready to draw him from his sheath.
Don't TOUCH me. Sanji feels his rage flair. He's pledged. He doesn't want to be cleaned or drawn by a stranger. He feels a heat spread along his blade, but the soldier seems unaware.
DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!
The soldier yelps in pain and lets go, watching Sanji fall to the floor in obvious fear. There's the lingering sound of sizzling skin, and the man raises his hands to his face in disbelief. Sanji feels a glint of mad satisfaction. Bright red flame bursts into existence and begins to engulf him.
What is it, my child? What is it that you desire? The flame whispers, a deep reverberating voice.
It's the voice of an ally. Sanji knows. One he cannot afford to trust complete, but an ally nonetheless.
Sanji feels himself transform into his human form, his sheath stretches into a loose dark red gown, long enough to cover his bare feet. He hovers slightly above the floor, enveloped completely in flame. It suffocates him and obscures his vision, but it does no harm to his body. The flame keeps on whispering.
Anything you want, my sweet child. Anything you want, I will do it for you. Only for you, my darling.
There's somewhere I need to return to. He hear his own voice answer. SOMEONE I need to return to. Zoro.
Of course. Anything for you, my child.
The room around him dims, and the structures become translucent. Through one wall he begins to make out where the dark blue ocean meets the clear blue sky. The sun is still high above. He looks down and sees waves splashing far below his feet around a concavity that accommodates the hull of the ship. He turns to another wall to find the coastline, and beyond it near the horizon is a single speck of green, glowing dimly but warmly.
It beckons.
I'm coming back. Sanji smiles.
He takes a step in the direction of the green light, feeling the floor board ignite where the bare skin of his foot touches it. The soldier scrambles to his feet with his back against the wall, screaming in terror as he flails his sword desperately at the blond. Sanji barely sees him. His eyes look through the man to the green glow in the distance. Always to the green glow in the distance. He takes another step forward, and an invisible blade slashes through the soldier.
Sanji makes no motion to blink his eyes as blood splatters over his head, tainting his blond locks black and his vision red. He licks his lips mindlessly and tastes the metallic tang of fresh warm blood. It's not nearly as sweet as Zoro's. He feels his smile grow wide as he takes another step forward, and the wall blocking his way begins to combust and crumble, falling as ashes.
Beyond the wall is another wave of white uniforms, and one by one they are dyed red before tossed from his path. Then another wall falls as ashes. Soon, all that can be heard around him are the crackling of flames and the cries of agony. The stench of blood and smoke fills the air. Bullets wheeze past him, but he pays them no mind. The noises around him are muffled and distant, inconsequential, pointless. He has something more important to do.
Zoro, I'm coming back. He coos, putting one foot in front of the other, leaving a trail of flaming foot prints behind him. He tilts his chin down and focuses his eyes once again on the green. It's the only thing that matters.
All who stands in your way will be bathed in their own blood. All which hinders you will be burned to the ground. The flame purrs. Only for you, my child.
Sanji takes another step forward.
Zoro.
And another.
Zoro.
Another.
Zoro.
Zoro.
Zoro.
Law sits by the bed of the unconscious cook, fingers pulling at the root of his own dark locks. It happened again. The cook passed out without warning, and the surgeon is again unable to find the cause. It has become a regular occurrence lately, twice, sometimes three times a day at seemingly fixed times. Once after breakfast, once after dinner, and sometimes once in the early afternoon. He sighs and turns to leave, hoping the otherwise healthy looking cook would wake up in half an hour like he usually does.
There have been times when he didn't though. There was once just a couple of weeks ago where he was out for three days straight.
He turns at the door to give the man another glance and can't help but squint. He rubs his tired eyes and squint again, taking a step or two back in the direction of the bed. There's no mistake. A lock of blond is starting at the root and quickly spreading to about half way down the length of Sanji's midnight black hair.
"Zorro..." The cook mutters with his eyes closed, lips pulling into an eerie smile.
Um... so here's my very first attempt at an apocalyptic scene on a small scale. I feel like I've just used a scene meant for a grand finale when we're not even at the end of the second arc yet. XD Oh well, we'll figure things out as we go. (ie, PLEASE HELP ME WITH PROMPTS!) This violence won't be a regular thing, I promise.
