Summary:

"I should have watched the news before I left."

"Maybe you should have."

Percy Jackson is not your average fifteen years old. He was small for his age and was a bit of a troublemaker. Not that it was his fault anyway. Trouble just seems to gravitate to him. Although his size was not up to par, his intelligence was impeccable. He was one of the smartest kids in his grade beside his best friend Annabeth Chase. Just because he is book smart didn't mean he was street smart.

Will he ever escape this sticky situation?

Masters' Kitten

Uncertainty and Doubt

|Third Person POV |

Luke sent his boys out of the base to carry on like normal. He walked over to his desk that was messy. On the desk was a laptop. Luke lifted the screen and turned it on.

He hummed started typing. Luke found a news article on the missing teen.

"Percy Jackson, age 15." Blue eyes scroll through the page. "Hmm now, where could Di Angelo hide? It'd have to have room for four people and someplace to work. Maybe abandoned apartment buildings?"

Luke closed his eyes to think.

...

Sally sat down on her son's bed. Her eyes were red from a long session on crying. Paul entered the room and cradle her in his arms. She sniffed and sobbed into her husband's shoulder.

"My baby." She cries.

"I know. I know its hard sweetheart but I trust the police. They will catch whoever took him from us."

Paul stood up at guided his wife out her son's bedroom and to their bed. He tucked her in and waited until her breath evened out before leaving the room.

He picked up his cellphone an dialed a number. The phone rang twice before the person picked up.

"Hylton speaking."

...

Ethan scouted the streets. He caught wind of a new drug being passed around. His eye drew to a woman placing a small bag in her bra. Ethan walked over to her.

As he passes her, he asks "Do you know where I could get some stuff for a good time?"

She looked Ethan up and down. She then smirked, "My little sunshine hooked me up with some new product if you'd like to try. For a price of course."

"Oh, and what would that be?"

She whispered in his ear, "Find me some good quality shrooms and microdot. I'll be here waiting to trade."

"Well, you're in luck. I happen to have microdot on me now." He pulled a small baggie from his wallet.

"I'll give you half a bag for only meeting half of my demands." She smiles and pulls a half-used bag. "It may not be as much but it is worth it."

They trade and Ethan walked back to their base. When he arrived. Alabaster was passed out on the couch and Luke was in the kitchen grabbing a beer.

"I got some of what Di Angelo and his boys are selling."

"Only half a bag?" Luke raised an eyebrow.

"I got what was offered to me."

Luke took the packet from him. As he inspected the bag and its contents, Ethan walked over to his boyfriend. He lifted Alabaster up and onto his lap. The brunette shifts a little but Ethan lulls him back to sleep.

"Do you know what mixed in there?"

Luke looked over at his partner in crime. "Not yet but we'll figure it out."

Ethan hummed and said no more.

...

Kyros put his phone down. He held his head in his hands.

"Master?"

He looked up to see Morgan with a tray of food.

"You must eat."

Morgan placed the tray on the desk and then began cleaning up the room. Red-Brown eyes watched on.

"Sir? Is everything ok?"

Hylton sighed, "It would seem that this truly is a small world." He waved Morgan over to sit down. "An old mentor of sorts called me."

"Mentor?"

"I guess you could say he took care of me at my lowest moments. He helped bring my life back on track."

Morgan grabbed his hand.

"Before I had all of this, I was just like any other boy with big dreams." He took a breath. "My parents used to fight all the time. One day the fight got physical at my mom pushed my dad down the stairs. She nearly killed him. I thought she was going to kill me next. She grabbed my dad's bat and swung at me." He shook his head. "She cracked three ribs, broke my nose and arm. When she went to hit my head, I stabbed her with a switchblade she gave me to defend myself."

Jack walks into the room and notices the tension. He sits on Kyros' other side.

"Isn't a bit ironic that the weapon she gave to defend yourself against street thugs is the same weapon you stabbed her with?"

Kyros drank a bit of his tea. "That's true now that I think about it."

"So what happened next?"

"I scrambled away from her and ran to my father. I called the police and told them what happened. Before I could finish, something had hit the back of my head rendering me unconscious." He took another sip of tea. "I woke in the hospital a day later hearing my father was in a coma and my mom killed herself to avoid being arrested. Social services told me I'd be placed in foster care since I didn't have any other relatives and my father obviously couldn't take care of me. I bounced around a few foster homes but after a while, I simply ran away. Paul found me in an alley munching on a loaf of bread I stole. He gave me a chance to have stability when everyone else simply thought of me as a nuisance." He sighs. "I guess the point of bringing the past up was because he called me earlier asking for my help."

"What did he need help with?"

"Finding his stepson."

Silence filled the room.

"Oh."

...

Jason pulled Percy's body closer to his chest. The smaller fifteen-year-old was wrapped in rope. Jason's fingers combed through dark locks of hair. He smiled to himself as he watched his prisoner sleep.

"You awake Jay?"

"Yeah Will. What's up?"

"I have a new batch I'd like to test," Will said as he stepped into the room.

"Wait till morning. Today was pretty rough."

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry about that. I didn't think his body would react that way."

Jason shook his head. "That's the whole point of experimenting. You're not supposed to know every reaction."

Will walked over to the bed, "Move over." He curled up against Jason's back.

"Night."

"Night."
