"What do you want?"

Katy huffed at the greeting she received from her ex-boyfriend. He rolled his eyes at her and turned away, heading back into the house and leaving her to follow him. Scowling at his retreating figure, the blonde slammed the door and stalked into the living room, folding her arms and glaring down at him as he slouched on the sofa.

"I need to tell you something." Katy said seriously, ignoring the fact that Isaac seemed more interested in the television than what she had to say. "Isaac! It's important."

"What?"

"I had an appointment today… I'm pregnant."

Finally he fixed his attention on her, his mouth dropping open in something that looked suspiciously close to horror. "You what?"

"Sixteen weeks."

"Sixteen weeks? You're sixteen weeks pregnant and you're just telling me now?"

Katy clenched her fists. "I've just found out, Isaac."

"Really? You didn't have any idea?"

"If you hadn't noticed I've been pretty stressed lately. I had no idea that I could be…" She inhaled sharply at the lie, before shaking her head. "It was a shock to me, too."

He took a couple of moments to mentally digest the information. "So we're having a baby?"

"I…" Katy swallowed thickly. "It might not be yours."

"It… what?"

"I slept with Tyler."

"You…?" He stood up and took several steps towards her. "You slept with Tyler?"

"It meant nothing to either of us. We both regretted it instantly." She told him evenly. "It was the result of all that tension between us and it just happened. It was a mistake."

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"

"No, of course it's not." She agreed. "But it's the truth. You deserved to know that there's a tiny possibility that the baby is Tyler's."

"Well thank you. That's so good of you."

"Don't act like you'd be devastated if he was the father." Katy snapped, rolling her eyes at him. "You don't want the responsibility of children. You've already proved that ten times over."

"Looks like I might not have the choice, now, if you're gonna keep it?"

"I am." She replied instantly. Noticing the expression on his face, she shrugged. "I'm not asking you for anything. You can be involved or you can stay clear… it really doesn't matter to me. I'm having this baby either way."

"I never asked for any of this…" He muttered, shaking his head. "I never should have got involved with a Mitchell."

Katy snorted. "Well, I did try and warn you. You were the one who kept pushing to make it a relationship."

"Look… I don't know if I want–"

"Like I said, I was just letting you know."

Turning, Katy stalked out of the room and left the house, shutting the door behind her with a bang. She inhaled sharply, running a hand over her stomach and smiling slightly. Now things were out in the open, she'd stop wearing the bump-hiding tops and cardigans she'd been wearing recently and revert to her more familiar, form-fitting outfits. Katy wasn't remotely ashamed of being pregnant, whether Isaac felt the same or not. Now that he knew, she had nothing to hide anymore.

Holding her head up, she strode across the Square and let herself into her house. It was already full of people, Glenda glanced up at her, slightly bemusedly, as the younger blonde leant over to press a kiss to the top of her head, clearly wondering why Ronnie had summoned her over to dinner at her granddaughter's house. Katy simply smiled back, asking whether anyone wanted a drink and asking whether her mother had started dinner yet.

"So? How did it go?" Ronnie asked softly, pausing in chopping carrots to fix her daughter with a curious look.

"He took it about as well as I'd expected." Katy replied with a shrug, not looking up from the potatoes. "I mean, I didn't come to terms with it immediately, so I can't expect him to be OK with it straight away, can I?"

"No." Her mother agreed, shrugging and returning her attention to the vegetables.

They didn't mention it again and Ronnie didn't ask when Katy was planning on telling Tyler that he might be responsible for getting her pregnant. They called everyone to dinner, sending the children to sit and eat in the living room so that the adults could settle themselves around the dining table. Amy had decided, considering that she was nearly twelve now, that she should stay and eat with the adults.

They'd barely started when the front door opened and Katy's housemate appeared. Tina blinked at the assembled Mitchells and Jack, wracking her brains to try and work out whether she'd known that they were all going to be around. Smiling at her, Katy motioned for the brunette to join them.

"Oh… sorry, I didn't realise you were…" Tina apologised, smiling weakly around at her housemate's assembled family. "I'll leave you to it."

"Don't be silly!" Katy shook her head. She stood up and moved towards the kitchen, nudging her younger sister as she passed. "Amy, go and sit with the others. I'll grab you a plate now, T."

"What?" Her younger sister complained bitterly. "But they're kids!"

"You're a kid." Jack reminded her with a chuckle, nodding his head towards the living room. "Move."

When Amy huffed, but did as she was told, her family laughed. Tina smiled, a little awkwardly at the curious expression Ronnie was regarding her with, taking the recently vacated seat and asking what the occasion was. When Glenda rolled her eyes and announced that the brunette knew as much as they did, Katy reappeared with a plate of dinner for her friend.

"So what is the occasion?" Glenda asked curiously, watching her granddaughter through narrowed eyes.

"I've got an announcement, actually." Katy informed her casually, taking a sip of water from her glass. "I'm pregnant."

"You're what?" Jack demanded, anger flitting across his face. "Are you stupid?"

"Debatable, but no." His daughter replied evenly, not remotely offended by his words. "I admit it wasn't planned, but equally, I didn't realise that I could actually get pregnant anymore, so…"

"Oh darling, I'm so happy for you." Glenda gushed, reaching over and squeezing her hand. "When are you due?"

"5th of April."

"Have you told Isaac?"

"Of course I have." Katy rolled her eyes at her aunt.

"How did he take the news… considering you've just broken up with him?"

"Not brilliantly." The youngest of the blondes admitted with a shrug. "It's a big thing to just drop on him. Especially as… especially as I had to tell him that there's the tiniest possibility that it might not be his."

Everyone around the table – except Ronnie and Tina – gaped at her. There was a stunned silence for a couple of moments, before Jack broke it; demanding to know what she meant.

"I slept with Tyler after we sorted things out over the whole custody thing." Katy told them, forcing herself not to be embarrassed about it under their reproachful gazes. "It was a mistake and we both regretted it, but it happened. Unfortunately the dates match up, so… I had to tell Isaac there's a possibility the baby is Tyler's."

Again, there was a silence as her words sank in. Katy pushed the food around her plate while she waited for someone to speak. Catching Tina's eyes across the table and seeing her awkwardness, the blonde smiled weakly at her.

"So… are you and Isaac going to get back together, now you might be having his baby?" Glenda asked.

"Unless it's Tyler's." Roxy pointed out.

"No." Katy shook her head firmly. "We're done. If he wants to be a dad, that's fine by me. It's equally fine if he doesn't." She glanced around, seeing that Jack seemed to be struggling most with the information. "You alright, Dad?"

He exhaled deeply, leaning back in his chair. "I didn't need this right now."

"Weirdly, this isn't about you, Jack." Roxy pointed out sarcastically.

"I'm sorry I cause you so much hassle." Katy muttered.

Jack rubbed his forehead. "I didn't mean that; I'm sorry. You know I'll be there for you, whatever. I just don't need the aggro from Isaac and Denise."

"What's Denise got to do with this?" Ronnie asked sharply.

"They're practically family; she's not going to be happy that Katy cheated on Isaac."

"It's got absolutely nothing to do with her." Katy pointed out. "It's between me and Isaac. If she's got something to say about it then she can come and say it to my face."

"Boss, I think you should get over here."

Katy furrowed her eyebrows, glancing at the time before she spoke. "Nick? What's happening?"

"Something you should see."

"It's half twelve?"

"I know and it's your night off. I'm sorry," the bouncer apologised, "but I think you should come and see it before I get rid."

Curiosity peaked; Katy hauled herself out of bed and pulled on a hoody. She didn't bother to change out of her pyjama bottoms, stepping into her boots and grabbing her phone and keys before she left the house and headed along Bridge Street. She wracked her brains as she walked, trying to work out what Nick could possibly have to show her.

"Well? What did you drag me out of bed for?" She asked, folding her arms and fixing him with a challenging look.

"This…"

Nick pointed towards the alley that led round the back of the R&R. Katy frowned and followed him, turning on the torch on her phone so that she could see what he was trying to show her. The small window that provided the tiniest amount of light to the stock room had been smashed and a spray painted cross was clearly visible on the brickwork beside it.

"And…?"

"That wasn't there earlier when I checked round." Nick told her. "The window's been smashed and that cross put there tonight. Someone's scoping the easiest way in."

"And you think it's something to do with the threat Jason made?"

"Could be."

Katy sighed, wrapping her arms around herself and nodding. "I'll go and check out the CCTV. Whoever did this will be caught going into the alleyway at least."

"I'll keep my eyes peeled for anything going down. I've already called Joe and Harry in, too."

"OK. Thanks for letting me know."
