Meanwhile, back on the road, the limo continued speeding away, closer and closer to Pentagram City and further and further away from Alastor's manor.
Vaggie finished her call with Charlie, handed the phone back to Molly, and said, "Okay, Charlie's on the way to give us some backup. Thanks for letting me use your phone."
"No problem, hon," Molly said, stroking Angel's head as he continued mumbling from his spot on her lap. "Cherri, do ya know where you're going?"
"Yep," Cherri said. "This road is long as fuck, but we should get back to Pentagram City within the next half hour."
"Great," Vaggie said with a relieved sigh. "The quicker we're off this road the better. Molly, is Angel still awake?"
"Yeah, Angie, are you okay?!" Cherri yelled to the backseat. "How are ya doing? Are ya still with us?"
"Pretty planets and stars!" Angel responded gleefully.
"What?" Vaggie and Cherri asked simultaneously.
To the surprise of everyone, Angel sat himself up on his knees on the chair next to Molly, folded his first pair of arms on top of the rolled down window, laid his head down on top of them, flashed a warm smile, and said, "Did I ever tell you that story, Vaggie? When I was a kid, our Mom took us to a state park. We stayed in a cabin. We went outside at night with a telescope and we saw so many amazing planets and beautiful stars."
Molly smiled sadly and shed a small tear.
"I remember that," Molly said, wistfully looking up at the sky outside the window. "We must have been about six."
"Yeah," Angel continued gesturing towards the sky with his head. "Do you remember this? Ma pointed up to the sky and said that Heaven was up there past all the pretty planets and stars and that if we were good children who followed God we would be up there to see all the pretty planets and stars."
"Of course, I remember, Angel," Molly said sadly. "We remember everything. That's one of our curses."
"I let my fear, my anger, and our shitbag of a father get to me," Angel said, his voice breaking and his eyes shedding angry tears with more slurred speech coming from his lips than before. "I wasn't a good boy! I never repented! I never got to enter Heaven to be with Mom!"
Molly wrapped her four arms around Angel and said, "Neither did I, twin brother. You're not alone. I'm a failure, too…"
"Where did I go?!" Angel sobbed into his arms. "Not with Mom. I fell down here, and I deserved it for being such a rotten killer! I've spent 73 years in this nightmare drowning my sorrows with sex and drugs all while being Valentino's prized possession! I stuck with Valentino to survive, but I believed him when he said he loved me! That's how stupid I am! I stayed with him through all the abuse and all the bullshit cuz I was addicted to him and his money and because he scared me! But you know what scares me more?!...Being exterminated! I don't want to go to the void and wait for Judgement Day! I don't wanna die for good…"
"It's gonna be okay, Angie," Cherri said, unable to comfort her friend any further because she had to focus on the road.
"Yeah," Vaggie said, placing her hand on Angel's neck. "No one here is going to the void."
"Vaggie? Baby doll?" Angel said, lifting his head to look at her.
"Yes?" Vaggie asked before Angel held her hands.
"When you and Charlie first met me, I doubted the hotel at f-first, but now, I've realized Charlie could be right about all this," Angel replied. "It's just up to the shitbags like me who want to repent, and now, I'm ready to repent, ask for God's forgiveness, and prove that I'm ready to enter heaven. I w-want to leave H-hell forever and be free!"
"That's great, Angel," Vaggie said with a smile on her face. "I'm sure Charlie will be happy to hear that when she gets here."
Angel suddenly turned to Molly, took her hands in his, and said, "Molly, I w-want you to c-come with me. We can both see Mom!"
Molly froze in place, not knowing what to say.
"Cherri!" Angel said suddenly letting go of Vaggie's and Molly's hands to reach over and lay one of his hands on Cherri's shoulder. "I want to take you to Heaven with me so we can all see those pretty planets and stars…Wait…"
Angel's gaze fell on the rearview mirror. He then quickly though clumsily crawled his way over to the back of the limo.
"Angel?" Vaggie asked.
"Angie, what's the matter?" Cherri asked.
"Yeah, Angel, what are ya doing?" Molly asked.
Angel sat on the very back seat and looked out the back window for a moment before he finally replied, "Guys, s-s-someone is f-f-f-following us-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s."
"What?!" all the ladies yelled at once as Vaggie squeezed herself through the window, tumbled into the backyard, and scrambled over to the back window that Angel was looking through.
Molly crawled over next to them and did the same.
Cherri simply looked at the rearview mirror.
"Oh, fuck!" she exclaimed.
Sure enough, Henroin, Arackniss, and Alastor were following behind them in the 1930's convertible. Henroin was driving, Arackniss was in the back preparing his weapons, and Alastor was sitting in shotgun patiently waiting with his signature smile on his face.
