Chapter 15: April Showers, Fun for Hours

After Ryder, Snowflake, and Marshall went down to the bottom floor, and walked out of the elevator, the other pups joined them.

"Hi Ryder! Hi Marshall and Snowflake. What did you guys want to do?" Rocky asked eagerly.

"Well it's such a nice day, I was thinking we could play and hang out outside," Ryder suggested. The pups all cheered and howled with excitement.

BOOM! A roar of thunder interrupted their joyful moment, as well as rain pouring down from outside.

"Awwwwwww!" the pups all said sadly. They were bummed out that they couldn't play outside as planned.

"Now what do we do?" Zuma asked, looking around. Ryder thought for a moment before looking back at the pups.

"I got an idea! Be right back," Ryder said before leaving the room.

"We can play tag!" Skye suggested. The pups all cheered before the Cockapoo touched Marshall.

"Marshall's it!" Skye cried out before the pups also ran away from the Dally. Marshall then chased after the pups, as they all giggled with glee.

"Try to catch me!" Chase said as he ran from his Dalmatian friend. Marshall ran after Chase until he was able to tag him.

"You're it, Chase!" Marshall said before running away. Once Chase was it, he ran after Zuma.

The pups were all having fun as they chased each other; taking turns onbwho wa the tagger, and everyone was having a good time. As they played however, Ryder came down the elevator with a big box.

"Hi Ryder! What's in the box?" Skye asked as she stopped running. The other pups stopped running too. Now all their attention was on Ryder, and the mysterious box.

"It's rainbow parachute I found. You pups can play with it," Ryder answered, putting the box down. He opened it so the pups could see the parachute.

"Wow!" The pups said in awe. Ryder smiled as his pups admired the gift.

"Thank you Ryder!" Snowflake said greatfully.

"Yes, thank you!" Zuma added. The others also thanked their owner.

"You're welcome pups. I'll let you pups play," Ryder said before going back up the elevator again.

"What would you like to do pups? Parachute, or something else?" Chase asked his friends, curiously.

"I know! Let's play Pup pup Boogie!" Marshall suggested.

"Okay!" the other pups agreed. Turns out there was a new remixed version of Pup Pup Boogie that was actually quite fun. It was a combination of Disco, Rock, Karaoke, and Classic Pup Pup Boogie music, along with different dance moves. They played for hours!

After playing Pup Pup Boogie, the pups were all tired. They needed to rest, and relax.

"Well that was fun, but now I'm tired!" Marshall stated.

"Same here," Skye replied in a tired voice

"Me too," Rocky agreed. The seven pups all agreed to rest, so they could keep playing when they had more energy.

After the pups had some time to rest, everyone one was ready to play again.

"So pups, what would you like to play?' Chase asked as he and the others got up from their bean bags.

"Let's play with the rainbow parachute Ryder brought us!" Skye suggested cheerfully before doing a backflip.

"Yeah!" the pups replied in agreement. Chase then flipped the box over on it's side so the rainbow parachute would fall out. The pups grabbed the parachute and spread it out. After spreading it out, they could see the parachute was really big, colorful, and felt soft: like a very large colorful bed sheet.

"Cool!" all the pups said in awe. Their tails wagged with excitement.

"So, how should we play with the parachute?" Rocky asked curiously. Snowflake smiled.

"I got some ideas. Grab an edge of the rainbow parachute and lift it into the air! We can take turns running under it!" Snowflake commented, grabbing the edge of the rainbow parachute. The other pups did the same, and once they raised the parachute, they all took turns running under it before it could fall on top of them.

"This is fun!" Rubble said after running under the rainbow parachute, getting to the other side.

"Okay, my turn! Raise the parachute!" Marshall with excitement. The pups raised the rainbow parachute, and Marshall ran under it. He was doing good until he tripped.

"Oof! I'm good!" Marshall said before getting back up. In that moment however, the parachute lowered down. Marshall kept running until he noticed the rainbow parachute was getting lower and lower.

"Oh no! The parachute's -huh?!" Marshall exclaimed before realizing that he wasn't going to get out of the parachute in time! Marshall turned around to get out, but the parachute was almost touching the ground, blocking his view.

"Marshall! Get outta there!" Chase cried out, hoping his friend could find a way out in time.

"I can't! There's no way out! - AH! Noooo!" Marshall cried out as he tried looking for an exit. There was no means of escape, and as the dally ran about, the rainbow parachute landed on top of him, covering him completely.

"Ah! Hey! Who turned out the lights?!" Marshall exclaimed, now tangled up under the rainbow parachute. Chase, Skye, Zuma, Rocky, Rubble, and Snowflake all giggled as they watched Marshall flail and thrash about under the rainbow parachute, as he struggled to get out of his entanglement. The silly dally looked like a rainbow colored ghost.

"Uh, pups! A little help! Please!" Marshall asked from under the parachute as he kept flailing about in an attempt to escape. The pups giggled again at how silly Marshall looked.

"Of course, little buddy!" Snowflake said before grabbing an edge of the rainbow parachute; the other pups doing the same, as they tried to unravel the parachute.

After the pups got Marshall untangled, they decided to have more fun with the rainbow parachute; they ran under it some more while raising it, rolled around in it, and played other games with it. They even made a big mushroom by raising the parachute, and stepping forwards while they held onto the edges with their mouths.

The rainbow parachute formed a mushroom shape as it went up, but then slowly lowered. The pups all stood still, and let go of the edges of the parachute just as it fell on top of everyone. With the parachute now covering the pups, they all looked like rainbow colored ghosts.

"Hehehehe" the pups giggled just as Ryder came down the elevator with a camera. The boy giggled before taking a picture of his parachute covered pups.

"Having fun pups?" Ryder asked with a smile. Slowly, the seven pups all emerged from under the parachute.

"Yes we are. Thank you Ryder!" Skye replied. Ryder then thought of an idea.

"Say, why don't you pups keep playing with the rainbow parachute, and I'll get your pictures!" Ryder suggested. Every pup's tail wagged with excitement.

"Yes!" they all agreed. For the next few hours, they kept play, raising and lowering, rolling, hiding, and getting tangled up under the rainbow parachute, while Ryder took pictures of his pups having fun. It was both silly, funny, and entrtaining how much fun everyone had. Everyone was having a blast!

After having fun with the rainbow parachute, the pups and Ryder put it aay in the indoor toy chest. Once that was done, they decided to eat dinner, relax, and then go to bed. They may have been stuck inside for half the day, but it didn't matter. All of the pups had fun playing inside The Lookout; especially Snowflake, who just enjoyed spending time, and playing with the parachute. But most of all, spending quality time with Marshall.
