Once Lucy and Marie stepped in, they were met with crowds of people fighting, others drinking themselves unconscious, and a lot of yelling. Then a naked man had came up to Lucy and asked to use her clothes. Which of course Lucy countered with punching him across the face, accusing him of being a pervert. Once she completed her task, all eyes landed on her.
"What?" She scoffed, quite annoyed. The guild looked around at each other, erupting into cheerful laughs. Lucy sat there, dumbfounded for a moment, why did they find that so funny? She looked towards a specific laugh. The woman sounded so angelic. Looking to the sound, she gasped when finding it was Mirajane.
"Mirajane!" The celestial mage squealed. The model looked at Lucy and smiled softly. She asked Lucy and Marie a few questions about themselves and why they chose to head to Fairy Tail. Lucy happily answered her questions while the made their way to the counter. That's when Mira was hit by a large man with tan skin and white hair like her own. Noticing Lucy's sudden panic, Mirajane reassured the blonde while blood trickled down her head.
"Don't worry, this happens a lot." Then she passed out. Lucy pushed the large man off her, prompting the man to jump up and start a brawl again. Lucy set Mirajane up while she was still passed out and gave Marie a worried look. That's when the fighting stopped suddenly. Lucy tiled her head to the side as the people fighting looked up in horror.
Turning around, she finally noticed the humungous black shadow looking creature with a face. He looked quite angry. "What are you imbecils doing to my guild hall!?" The shadow yelled deeply and ominously. "Is this how we treat new family?" He asked in irritation. Lucy shook and watched as the shadow's form shrunk smaller and smaller until it was just a little old man with a grin in his face. He held out his hand for Lucy to shake. She took it with her own shaking hand.
"H-Hi...are you the guild master?" He nodded and let go of her hand. Glaring back at the older guild members. He then jumped up on the second floor railing, holding out a stack of papers. "I've heard from the magic council that Natsu has destroyed three towns in one week, Gray froze over a village, and Elfman transformed his arm into beast soul mode and accidentally drove a pack of wild boars into a town," each man accused looked away, except for Natsu who looked proud. "They're telling us to control our members and tell us that we should comply, well I say, screw the magic council. We do things our way, the Fairy Tail way!"
The master burned the paper and threw it away, Natsy being the one to catch it in the air like a dog. He chewed on it while the master raised a hand to the sky, lifting his index finger and thumb up along with his hand. "Fairy Tail will always be number one!" He yelled, to which most echoed with the same chant and hand sign. Lucy hummed with a smile and gave Marie a hopeful look. That's when the barmaid beside her stood up.
"Why don't you two follow me so I can get a guild mark placed somewhere." Mirajane said with a twinkle in her voice. Lucy bit her lip to contain another squeal as she and Marie made it up to the counter. "Where and what color?" She asked both Lucy and Marie, holding up the guild mark stamp. Lucy knew she wanted it on her right hand but what color? She thought of the first color that came to her mind, which was pink.
"On my right hand and pink please" Lucy answered. Pink was always her favorite color, following blue of course. But her mother had always loved the color, so naturally Lucy had to love the color too. Marie thought for a moment when Mirajane turned to her, but decided on red and on her back. Getting giddy again, Lucy ran up to Natsu and held out her hand for him to see.
"Look Natsu I got my guild mark!" Lucy grinned.
"Yeah that's great, Luigi." Natsu said as he waved her off nonchalantly. Lucy pursed her lip and crossed her arms with a pout.
"It's Lucy!" Though it seemed the fire dragon slayer didn't bother to listen to her. She narrowed her eyes and looked around the guild, finally noticing a little boy running up to master Makarov, Mirajane told her that much.
"Why won't you find my dad!? He's been gone for a week on a three day job!" The boy pleaded. Makarov sipped on a bottle of beer and gave the boy an annoyed glance. Lucy's eye twitched at the dismissal of the boy's feelings.
"He's a mage, Romeo. He'll be fine, now go on and get outta here." The poor boy's eyes filled with fresh tears, punching the master in the face before running out of the guild, claiming he would find his father himself. Mirajane sighed sadly and cleaned out a glass. Lucy clenched her fist, she knew what it was like. Just as she was going to walk out and help the boy, Natsu had punched the job board and stocked out.
"Woah," A man named Nab shouted. "What's your deal Natsu!?" Natsu ignored the man and walked striaght out of the guild.
"I'll get your father back." Natsu said as he placed a hand on Romeo's head. He looked up at Natsu in surprise. The pink haired man just ruffled his hair. While Natsu ran away, Lucy made sure to catch up with him quick, Marie in her hands. Romeo noticed this and turned his head to the side. He had never seen that girl at the guild before. Was she new?
...
"W-why did you come?" Natsu stuttered, laying his forearm on his eyes. Lucy wasn't much better, hunched over with her knees turned in. She moaned and closed her eyes, trying to think about anything else.
"I was going to go anyway. Lord only knows how much we can relate to Romeo's suffering." Lucy squeaked out. Natsu groaned and turned away from everyone. Happy shook his head and gnawed on his fish.
"I bet Lushi's just gonna get kidnapped. That's what happens when you bring girls on these trips." The blue cat chimed. Lucy managed to lift her head from her knees and glare at the blue feline who only snickered. Natsu laughed along with his cat while she growled at them to shut up.
"In a million years will I get kidnapped, right Marie?" Lucy huffed, looking at her own feline for support.
"I wouldn't bet on that." Marie teased, Lucy gave her cat a look of betrayal. How could her own best friend side with two guys they barely knew.
"Hey!" Lucy yelled out, suddenly feeling better. Natsu chuckled at that and turned back towards the blonde with a sincere smile. Lucy coughed awkwardly and looked away. Why was he acting weird all of a sudden? Once they made it to Mt. Hakobe, they stepped out of the covered wagon and began to walk. Lucy shivered violently and rubbed her hands up and down her arms to keep warm. She could barely feel her thighs now. Looking up at how Natsu was totally fine, she ran faster to him.
"What are you doing?" He asked as the celestial mage walked next to him. The only thing odd was that she was so close that their arms frequently brushed up against each other. Lucy could feel the warmth that radiated off him and said the first thing that came to her mind.
"You're warm." Is what she grumbled out. If Natsu hadn't had dragon slaying abilities, he probably wouldn't have heard her with all the wind and snow around them. He shuffled a bit closer to her, if that was possible, to help her get warmer. It was probably smart to stick close since they had no idea what was ahead of them.
"Whatever..." He sighed. Lucy grinned at her victory and managed to get comfortable. Not even a minute later, a Vulcan, the same things that Romeo's father came here to defeat, showed up and grabbed her by the waist. He hauled her over his shoulder and ran faster than any human could.
"W-What the hell! Let me go!" Lucy screamed, thrashing and kicking until he stepped into a cave and threw her down. He banged his fists on his chest and gave her a rather perverted look.
"Woman!" It yelled in excitement. Lucy gave the monkey a disgusted expression and stood up, but lost her balance and fell back over. Looking down, she noticed the whole cave was made of ice. She would have to be careful. Carefulling maneuvering her body to stand, she grabbed a random key and held it out.
"Hope you're ready!" She yelled, getting ready to call out her bull spirit, Taurus. Once she did, the axe wielding cow swung down on the monkey while Lucy used the distraction to punch the Vulcan in the gut. It worked, but she figured it wasn't enough to destroy the thing.
"Wow Mrs. Lucy, your utters are looking quite magnificent today." Taurus chuckled pervertedly while he stared at her chest. Lucy crossed her arms over her chest in an attempt to hide her rather large bust. Just as she was about to send Taurus back, Natsu had conveniently jumped in and punched her spirit right across the face. Then the mage planted face first on the ice and slid to the other side of the cave.
"What the hell, you just punched my spirit in the face!" Lucy screamed towards Natsu. Marie and Happy followed shortly after, out of breath. Marie noticed the defeated bull and looked at Lucy's angry face at Natsu.
"What did you do to Taurus!?" Marie asked. Natsu really just defeated one of Lucy's most powerful spirits.
"I thought he was some monster!" Natsu countered as he tried to defend himself.
"Idiot." Lucy groaned.
"Where's Macao you perverted monkey!" Natsu directed his attention to the Vulcan. Said monkey pointed to an opening by the cave walls. Natsu went over to look outside the hole. "See, it wasn't so hard to-" his sentence being cut short when the monkey pushed him out. Lucy pressed her thumb and index finger across the bridge of her nose and sighed. She watched as Happy immediately went after the fire mage.
Once he was back, he skid across the icy floor until he was right next to Lucy. The blonde could tell what attack he wanted to try. He looked to Lucy with a smirk, waiting for her to smile back. Lucy rolled her eyes playfully and nodded, looking back at the Vulcan with a smirk of her own. Both sucked in a large breath, preparing their attack.
"Celestial dragon-"
"Fire dragon-"
"Roar!" we blasted the attack simultaneously, noticing how both attacks intertwined and made one large blast of magic energy, which was more than enough to take him down. Lucy walked up to the Vulcan and gasped at what she saw. A middle-aged human man was what appeared there after the monkey disappeared. Natsu ran to him and tried to get a good look but he fell. Natsu grabbed him but he was slipping so Happy grabbed him while Marie held Happy's tail. Lucy grabbed her tail and pulled them back to up. Lucy sighed as she began to wrap up Macao's wounds.
"What happened?" Natsu asked with a painful look in his eye.
"I took this job to defeat twenty Vulcans but the last one got to me too quick..." Macao sighed. Lucy felt herself figit, she had loads of questions but she knew that it wasn't appropriate right now. Macao just needed to get back to his son. Both Natsu and Lucy held him up and walked back to Magnolia in silence. They saw the boy and he noticed them. He ran to his dad and hugged him tightly. I smiled slightly at the touching scene.
"I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have asked you to do such a tough job!" Romeo cried. Macao rubbed the boy's head and gave him a bright smile
"If those bullies pick on you again just ask them if their fathers can defeat nineteen Vulcans on their own." Macao smiled. Lucy didn't know the story but she never questioned it. She walked back to the guild with Natsu, Happy, and Marie and heard the boy call back to them.
"Thank you so much!" Lucy smiled at him and waved. Shs grinned at the good deed she had just done. It's not every day you get to fight a giant monkey and save someone's father. Rubbing her sore neck, she remembered her and Marie's lack of housing problem. Now that they were in a guild, it was time they settle into home.
"Shit..." Lucy mumbled while sheepishly looking to her cat "So what are we gonna do, Marie?" Lucy whispered to Marie. The feline shook her head, wings flapping to stay onto Lucy's level.
"I have no idea but I refuse to ask for help and be a bother." She answered. The blonde nodded feeling the same way.
"What are you two talking about?" Natsu asked.
"Nothing! Goodnight Natsu!" Lucy bowed quickly, taking Marie by the tail and running out the guild. Natsu's expression remained blank as Happy called them both weirdos.

Natsu knew something was up with Lucy but he didn't press the subject. He and Happy were walking back to their own home when they saw Lucy and Marie. They quickly hid behind a large tree and eavesdropped. Natsu put a finger to his lip to shush the giggling Happy.
"Maybe we should just ask someone to let us stay the night, I mean I could use my fear tactic." Natsu heard Lucy yell. Natsu snorted and rolled his eyes, as if she could really be scary. She barely came up to his shoulder.
"Not in a million years! How dare you even let that thought cross your mind!" Marie yelled in aspiration. Happy chuckled at the feline's words and watched them closely. Lucy grumbled and gave Marie a halfhearted glare. To which Marie gladly returned.
"Do want to sleep in the woods then?!" Lucy growled lowly. Though Natsu could hear her using his sharpened hearing abilities.
"Let's just find a cave or go to a hotel, okay" Marie sighed, even Happy could tell the poor cat was exhausted.
"Ugh...but those hotels suck and we haven't slept in a cave since dad..." Lucy trailed off sadly. Natsu's eyes furrowed in frustration. A thought crossed his mind for a moment, he smiled. It was worth a try anyway. He went up to the two and planted a hand on each other their shoulders. Lucy tensed and turned slowly but sighed when she just saw the pink headed pyro. Then she got angry again.
"Dammit Natsu! You could of given me a heart attack! Warn me next time you're gonna sneak up on me, will ya!" Lucy screamed. He laughed at her overly animated angry expression, finding it enjoyable. He knew he was going to love teasing her.
"I overheard you two have a little predicament," Natsu grinned. "I'm always one for helping out guild members, and you guys are friends now, so do you just wanna live with me and Happy?" Lucy's eyes brightened up and she immediately spoke up.
"Ye-" But she was cut off by Marie.
"No, we will not be a bother to any guild mate" she said stubbornly.
"C'mon Marie!" Natsu heard Happy yell out. The pink haired man turned to him and smiled. He could tell that Happy really wanted to Marie to stay with them. She was the only cat around that was most like him anyway. Marie's eyes sifted upon looking at Happy's hopeful look.
"Fine..." She sighed. Natsu grinned widely and grabbed Lucy's hand while Happy did the same to Marie. They ran back to their house. Natsu looked back to see Lucy's angry expression once again and tried with all his might not to laugh.
"How do you even live here!?" She yelled. Garbage was piled on the floor while clothes laid everywhere on the couch or chair. She shuffled through the mess and stood in the middle of the room, giving it a once over.
"Yeah sorry bout' that, didn't know we'd have guests." She huffed and started cleaning while Natsu set up a extra hammock up for her and Marie. She finished cleaning and it looked great. She really knew how to clean. Though it did take her a couple hours. By the time she was done, it was almost ten.
"I'm impressed" Natsu smirked. Her face was so prideful. Natsu could tell her ego swelled largely at what he had said. He led her back to the bedroom and showed her the hammock. Natsu laid in bed while she took a shower and got dressed. She had no spare clothes so he let her borrow a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. She came out and pulled up the shorts with a pout on her face.
"Ugh...its too big on me" she scowled.
"Nah, you look fine" He smiled. She looked away with a light blush on her face.
"W-whatever" she stuttered looking away and crawling into bed. Once she was settled, she opened her arms for Marie to fly in. Nstsu could see just how tired the blonde was and turned to face the toher way, wanting her to get sleep. We all bid each other goodnight and quickly fell asleep.
Morning
Natsu yawned and looked up at the ceiling while Happy snuggled into his chest. It had to only be around five in the morning. He looked over at his friend and watched as she slept soundly. He grunted as he set up, waking Happy up in the process.
"Mm, what time is it?" Happy yawned.
"I'd say maybe 5:30. Not sure." Natsu said as he cleared his throat and stood up. He stretched his limbs and reached down to touch his toes before reaching up to the sky, his back popping in the process. He went over to Lucy's hammock and shook her awake. She mumbled something incoherent and waved him away.
"Here, use this while your clothes are being washed." Natsu said as he pushed some clothes in her sleeping face. The outfit consisted of a ruby red tank top and a white skirt and knee high boots. She took the clothes and tucked them to her chest, going back to sleep. "C'mon, Lucy! Get up so we can take a job!" Natsu whined.
"Just get one without me, I'll be up by the time you're back." She said, sleepy. Natsu made a small noise out of annoyance and left for the guild with Happy right on his trail. Once he made it there, he immediately saw something on the board and grabbed it. Duke Everlue was the guy they had to steal a book called 'Day Break' from. Natsu grinned when he saw that they needed a blonde maid for the job.
Didn't Lucy say something about a celestial wizard never going back on her word?
