Wendy was the shy type, so she only hung around the ones she knew from the mission. Later on, her and Charle had Mira give her the Fairy Tail guild mark. She was so excited that she ran to Lucy and Natsu to show them. Lucy clapped happily and grazed her fingers on Wendy's mark on her shoulder. Wendy could feel the warmth of the guild the moment she stepped in, and Lucy's expression made it all the better.

A week had passed since Wendy joined the guild. While she was still upset over what happened to her old guild, the people around her were making things alright for her. And she wanted to help too. Which is why she ran up to Lucy and gave her a shy smile. Lucy turned to see her and gave her a grin.

"What is it Wend-"

"Wendy! Lucy! Over here!" Natsu yelled across the guild. He waved them over and watched as they jogged over to him. Wendy and Lucy sat down across from him.

"What is it Natsu?" Lucy asked. Natsu gave her a huge grin and stood up. She had never seen him so excited.

"Gildarts it coming!" He said. Lucy and Wendy stared at him blankly. His smile dropped when he saw their less enthusiastic looks. "C'mon this is Gildarts. He's the coolest guy in the whole world!"

"Natsu, we haven't been members long enough to meet this Gildarts," Lucy giggled. Realization hit him like a truck and he sat down. He totally forgot that they never met Gildarts before. He crossed his arms and leaned back on his chair. A pout came to his lips. Lucy rolled her eyes. "Don't be so upset, you said he's coming right? We'll see him then!"

The grin came back to his face and he jumped up with joy. That's when he felt the ground begin to shake. He was coming! Natsu grabbed Lucy and Wendy, dragging them to the front of the guild so they could see Gildarts for themselves. They all saw the buildings lift up and separate as he walked down though the town to the guild. He happily came in and went to see the master.

The master took a sip of his drink and nodded in satisfaction at Gildarts. "Only three years huh? Good jo-"

I didn't finish it," Gildarts cut master off. Master seemed surprised at first. So Gildarts elaborated. "It was a lot harder than I expected it to be. And it cut me up pretty damn bad. If I hadn't come back, I might not be alive." He chuckled sadly. Makarov looked at him for a moment, before nodding in understanding.

"Alright," he turned to Erza. "Can I see you in my office?" She nodded and followed the man to his office. Gildarts snorted and sat down where Erza had at the bar. He turned to the barmaid that was serving drinks and asked for one. Only to be surprised when it was Mira.

"Woah, what happened to the little She-Devil?" Gildarts chuckled. Mira set down his drink for him and giggled.

"That was three years ago, Gildarts. We've all grown quite a bit."

"Ah, that's fair. Anyway, where's that little pyro-"

"Fight me!" Natsu yelled, swinging his fist to punch him. But with a flick of his wrist, Natsu was flung on the ceiling and crashed onto the floor. Lucy gasped and bent down to him.

"You okay, Natsu?" Lucy stifled a laugh as she held her hand over her mouth. The way his face was pressed into the floor was just too funny. He lifted his head, bits of rubble falling from his face as he gave her an unamused look. She giggled uncontrollably and helped him stand up. Gildarts noticed the exchange between the two and tilted his head to the side.

Where was Lisanna? And who was this blonde? Gildarts stood up and slung his arm around Natsu. "So you're not going to introduce me to your new friend?" Gildarts held out his hand for Lucy. Lucy took it. "Hi, I'm Gildarts and its nice to meet you." Lucy nodded and shook his hand.

"I'm Lucy, I'm new here!" Lucy smiled.

"Yeah I've been seeing a lot of new faces lately. Even if I've met em before." He laughed. Natsu crossed his arms as Lucy laughed along. Gildarts wasn't that funny. Then, just in time, someone called Lucy's name.

"Lucy-san! Can you show me around?" Wendy asked. Lucy nodded and waved both Natsu and Gildarts goodbye.

"It was nice meeting you!" Lucy laughed as Wendy dragged her out of the guild. Gildarts looked over at Natsu as he stared at the blonde's path. He smiled and shook his head, ruffling Natsu's hair.

"Anyway, how about you come over to my place in an hour. I want to talk to you about something important." Natsu nodded and watched as Gildarts used his magic to blast through the guild. He wondered what Gildarts could possibly want to talk to him about. He laid around the guild until an hour has passed and then he stood up to head to Gildarts place.

Once he opened the door, he was greeted with a smile from him. Natsu stood in the doorway and crossed his arms. "What's up Gildarts?" He asked him. Gildarts put down his book down on his small counter. Giving Natsu a smirk, he took a swig of his beer.

"Hey Natsu! How are you and Lisanna? or are you with Lucy now?" Natsu's fist clenched at his words. He should of known Gildarts would of brought this up. He sighed and stared at the wood flooring, an uncomfortable feeling rising in his stomach.

"She died two years ago," there was an awkward silence that fills th air. Natsu sighed. "Is that all you wanted to ask because if so then I'm leaving." Gildarts was frozen in his spot. A weird feeling rippled throughout his chest.

"She did? I'm so sorry Natsu...I just thought-" he coughed and looked away. "I just wanted to talk to you about my job. It was a mission to kill a dragon." Changing the subject seemed to have worked because Natsu perked right back up.

"Where is it?" Natsu said with wide eyes.

"Don't go after it. If you do you'll end up like me or even worse...dead." Gildarts let his cloak fall to the ground, getting Natsu to gasp. His chest was bandaged and he lost his arm and leg. Shaking away the image, Natsu gave Gildarts a hard look.

"Dragons would never do that!" He argued.

"Well this one did so I want you to stay far away from the name Acnologia." His expression was serious and firm. He loved Natsu like a son, so he wasn't going to allow him to kill himself. Natsu didn't say a word as he stomped out. He huffed and looked back at the guild. He wasn't in the mood to see anyone anymore so he just walked passed and to his house. Not only did Gildarts bring up Lisanna, but he also forbid him from finding a dragon that could lead him to Igneel.

He slammed open his door and slumped into his couch. A headache starting to form. A few minutes later, the door opened to reveal Lucy carrying a handful of bags. She sighed and set them down. She stood up straight and cracked her back.

"These bags kicked my ass. Where's Natsu when you need him," she huffed and looked up to see Natsu giving her a blank stare. She squeaked and stood back. "You scared the shit out of me!" She held her hand over her chest to slow down her rapidly beating heart. But he hadn't laughed at her. He just turned away from her. Frowning, she came up to him and sat next to him

"Are you okay Natsu?" She asked worriedly. Natsu nodded his head without saying a word. She hummed in annoyance. "You're not a good liar. You don't have to tell me what's bothering you. But maybe I can make you feel better." She beamed. Looking confused, he watched her as she stood up and grabbed an apron hanging from a hook. Grabbing something from her bag, she ripped it open.

"What's that?" Natsu asked, smelling something absolutely delicious. Peeking over Lucy's head, his mouth watered when he saw what she was making. Lucy giggled quietly. Food could cheer him up better than any words.

"It's your favorite. Fire chicken!" Natsu laughed at her words and hugged her.

"Thanks Luce! You're the best!" He cheered, forgetting whatever he was sad about in the first place. Letting her go, he slammed his body down on the couch and waited impatiently for the food to cook. Lucy was almost as good at making fire chicken as Mira was. Once the food was finished, she watched with happy eyes as he scarfed the meal down. He nodded at her in thanks and gulped down his glass of water.

Lucy then jumped at the sound of lightning. But it didn't sound like natural lightning. She and Natsu gave each other a weird look before running outside and looking up at the sky. There was a swirl of clouds creating a deep hole in the sky. The sky went dark and the wind started to blow incredibly fast around them. Looking at each other once more, they both decided going back to the guild was a good idea.

The slammed open the guild doors and saw everyone huddling together. "What is going on?!" Lucy yelled. Gray stood up with a struggled and pushed the hair out of his face.

"I don't know, but something is sucking up the town!" Gray growled as he was beginning to get pushed away. Put two hands on his wrist stopped it. He looked down to see Erza and Juvia trying their hardest to put him in place. He gave them a small smile and looked back to find Natsu standing there in confusion. But Lucy was gone.

She was at the guild's doorway. "I'm going to find Wendy. I can't smell her here, she's out there all alone!" Lucy said, running out and into the storm. Natsu scoffed and went to run after her, but a pull on the guild stopped him. Just then, the guild was being sucked up in the sky and Natsu along with it. Until he was magically out of the guild and stuck in the ground. Along with his best friend, Happy.

He lifted his head from the cold sand and looked around. There was nothing. And everything looked really weird. He rubbed the back of his head. "Natsu!" Wendy called from afar. Natsu stood up and pulled Happy out of the ground. She had Charle with her.

"Wendy I'm glad you're okay. But what is going on!?" Natsu asked her. Wendy bit her lip.

"I was told by Mystogan that the thing that sucked up Earth Land was this thing called Anima. But that's the extent of my knowledge."

"I know why this is happening," Charle said. "This is all happening because there is a world beyond this one, called Edolas. It's a place where we exceeds are from." Charle explained, eyeing Happy.

"Exceeds?"

"Yes Happy, that is what we are called. Hundreds of exceeds were sent to earth to complete a mission. One I'm sure you have no idea about. And the reason no dragon slayer was sucked into it is because Edolas knows that we are inseparable. Because without Wendy, I would refuse to complete the mission." Charle said with a cross of her arms.

"So why did they take Earth Land?" Natsu asked.

"That I'm not sure about. Probably something to do with our mission. But I'm willing to abandon my mission to help get everyone back. And if I do that, we cannot be seen there. Because we will be caught and will be killed for treason." Wendy gulped and looked down at the ground.

"Have you been to this world before?" Wendy asked meekly. Charle shook her head.

"Of course not, you were the one that watched me come out of my egg. I was just born with this knowledge. But I have no idea what this world is like, I only know that there is not a lot of magic energy to go around so we won't be able to use our magic."

Natsu slammed his fist into his hand. "What're we waiting for?! Let's go save our friends!"

"Before we can do that!" Charle yelled. "We must set some rules. No one ask of my mission and if Tomcat and I betray you two in any way, kill us immediately without hesitation. Do I make myself clear." Charle said, pointing up at the two. Both Natsu and Wendy didn't say anything. So Charle took that as a yes. She grabbed the back of Wendy's shirt and had Happy do the same with Natsu.

"How are we going to get there?" Natsu questioned.

"Me and the Tomcat will fly you there of course. Now, I want you to hold onto Natsu tightly. We will be using all of our strength to get there," Happy nodded and followed after Charle who began to fly them upwards. "Alright, use max speed!" She announced.

"Aye sir!" Happy yelled, a gust of power coming from his wings. Natsu and Wendy screamed at the fast paced flying as they both flew them into the Anima. Coming out on the other side, everyone gasped at the scenery. It was absolutely beautiful. Floating islands and even a river in the air.

"This is so cool!" Natsu laughed. As they flew over the river, Natsu awed at the fish that jumped high in the air.

"Don't get so distracted! Were to find your friends, not sight see. Now like I said before, we don't have any," and just like that, their wings disappeared. "Magic." She finished pathetically. Screams filled the air as they all fell into an island, landing right on a giant mushroom.

"Oww..." Wendy moaned as they slid down the mushroom and landed on the ground. "This place is scary!" She whined. Natsu cracked his neck and searched around the new terrain.

"I think it's cool, c'mon, let's find a place to get disguises." Natsu laughed. Charle rolled her eyes, but flew along side him. It was a very bumpy road to where they were now. First coming across a monster that they couldn't defeat because of lack of magic. Then being thrown in the air and landing on another mushroom. But this mushroom bounced them along a trail of mushrooms until they slammed into someone's home. But luckily, they were able to find costumes.

"These will suffice for now." Charle said with a sigh. Natsu groaned and looked out the window. So far they weren't getting anywhere. It was starting to tick him off. Looking off in the distance, he gasped at seeing a familiar sign. It was Fairy Tail!

"Guys, come on! I found Fairy Tail!" He yelled, running out of the house and to the building of Fairy Tail. But it looked more like a plant than a building. But he didn't care. He found his friends! It was a lot easier than he originally thought. He slammed open the door with a smile when he saw some familiar faces. Everyone else had caught up with him, sneaking behind him and seeing what he was seeing.

"Natsu you dolt!" Charle scolded. She pulled everyone under a table and had them observe the Fairy Tail members. That's when Natsu noticed the slight differences with everyone. Like Gray was wearing layers of clothing and was madly in love with Juvia while she was pushing him away in annoyance. Elfman was a big baby and it seemed Jet and Droy were the strongest mages.

"Why is everyone acting so weird!?" Natsu shouted. Charle shushed him and narrowed her eyes at the scene.

"I don't think these are our friends at all. I think this is an Edolas version of them, which means they aren't opposites of our guildmates. They're totally different people all together."

"So we haven't gotten a step closer to finding anyone?" Wendy whimpered. Natsu made an angry expression and banged a hand on the ground it frustration. That's when someone stood in front of them, legs only visible. The person bent down and glared daggers at the group.

"Who the hell are you and why are you under a table?" A familiar, but deeper voice asked them. Natsu's eyes went wide at who it was. She roughly pulled them all up and examined them. Natsu was still so shocked, it was Lucy! But she was acting entirely different and had the weirdest outfit on.

"L-Lucy!" Natsu sputtered, mouth wide open. She looked at him for a brief moment. And her eyes softened a tad, reminding him of his Lucy. She let everyone else go and pulled him closer.

"Natsu you jerk! Why didn't you tell me you were back. Don't ever make me worry again..." She whispered.

"U-Uh, I'm sorry?"

Just then, she grabbed his arm and pulled it tightly around his back. "You will be, stupid!" Although she was gruff, even Natsu could see the blush staining her cheeks.

"Lucy! How many times have I told you not to bully Natsu!?" A new voice stated. Everyone cleared a pathway for that person. And Natsu saw her as clear as day. It was Lisanna. He looked down at Happy and noticed tears that stung his eyes. Edo Lucy stared at him weirdly with a puff of her cheeks. Hitting him over the back of the head.

But Natsu didn't care. It was Lisanna. Right in front of him. He wiggled out of Lucy's grip and shed a few tears. "Lisanna!" He yelled happily. Only to be pulled back by Lucy who slammed his head on the ground. Lisanna only looked slightly concerned. She was mostly just disturbed.

"You bone head, Natsu Dragion! More excited to see her than me?!" Lucy muttered angrily.

"She's right there. Right there..." He cried comically. But before Lucy could beat him again the guild rumbled. She let him go and ran to Levy.

"Shit, it's Nightwalker!"
