Hey Everyone, sorry this is so late, like ridiculously late. Like, almost a year ago late, holy shit. Life happened and I recently moved into my college campus and had classes. So, y'know, that.
So, the world is kinda ending. Crap.
Moving onto more Star Wars related news. The Rise of Skywalker! I saw it a while ago, and then I saw it again. I did not like it. I know, I know, contain your shock, but this movie was not good at all, in my opinion. As a movie, it's better than Episodes 1 and 2 (TPM and AOTC) but as a Star War's and it being memorable, I feel like it lacks oomph, know what I mean? There are many problems with it, especially in the writing. The writing in it feels like a fanfic written by an 8 year old, and I write fanfiction for crying out loud! It's not without merit, as there are individual ideas and scenes in it that are interesting, such as Palpatine looking like an undead monster, but the movie also has things like Rey being Palpatines granddaughter, which I feel hurts her character, as she was meant to be the new generation of heroes, not tied down by anything, but new! But on a more positive note, Mandalorian is still the bad-ass show it promised to be, and I cannot wait for a second season! Jedi Fallen Order, like I said last chapter, is also great. Plus Clone Wars Season 7 is the best Star Wars in a long time! So Star Wars isn't "Dead" but It'll be a while before I can feel invested in the story-line. At least there's always fanfiction...but I ain't gonna read no Reylo. That's not a good ship. Bad ship. Bad shippers. No.
Guest: I have, as seen above. Seeing as how Korra and Tenzin met up at I think the southern Temple in canon, yes.
Linkin Park Fan: Oh crap forgot about the Kenobi Series! That sounds soooo goooooooood!
The1whoknocks: Awww stop, your making me blush!
Wizardwolf 1020: Your exactly right! I'm having them refer to each other as siblings due to their rank, they aren't actually related. It's a rank, and they all despise each other. You will be pleased by Ryder's growth however, his arc is fully planned. As for his alignment, no spoilers~!
xxTheTruMan196: I always love hearing from you, your like the master of wacky crossovers! No, it isn't a literal relationship between the two, it's just system of rank. It is also Trilla too! I've alway's thought of her as being one to push her fellow inquisitors around, and they can't do anything about it because of her skill and rank. Since this take place around the same time as Fallen Order, but a bit before. So, no she won't appear in this, it was just a quick Cameo. It is tough updating, since life and all that. How do you do it?
AkaDecka: Thanks for the love! All your questions will be answered...soon...mwehehehe
Skywalker: :-)
Wizardwolf: I will dew it.
Guest 2: Uh, wow. This is a lot. Yeah, the reason I cancelled the first version of this story was that I was unsatisfied with how it was going, and it felt WAY to bloated and unnecessary, which also carried over to the second version. With this, I finally feel that I'm introducing things in a semi-consistent way that isn't too ridiculous but still ties into old Legends material. Also, the reason I don't update often is that I just have the attention span/commitment of a child when it comes to writing. For the past few weeks I've actually been on and off writing my own story for classes, and I just haven't been paying attention to this and any of my other stories. But I'll try to change that, since Korra is now on Netflix and I've been re-watching some good ol Clone Wars. Also, it's completely free to get an account on this website. Doesn't cost a dime. All you need is an email. And as for Ryder X Korra...I've recently been kinda just not wanting to do that anymore. I've just seen a lot of Korra x Male OC stories and I kinda just lost care for it. Doesn't mean it won't happen necessarily, just that I don't know if it will.
Avenger2003: Thank you! Having characters just show up in the beginning is one of my biggest regrets with the other versions of this story so I'm trying to actually develop and introduce things slowly rather than just throw it all in and overwhelm both the reader and myself.
Let's do dis.
After this chapter I'm so gonna do Waking Worlds Worth. Or Halo. Maybe both. Perhaps Persona. I don't know, I have the attention span of a 5 year old. How about make my own Pokemon region or some Destiny story, been playing those two recently like a lot. Or this one idea involving MHA and a secret x-over, or nothing. Ugh I hate my own attention span.
It's brother versus brother in the war of the Water Tribes. After Korra discovered that Chief Unalaq betrayed her and her father, she turned against him, sparking civil war. The Southern rebels rallied around Tonraq, but they are vastly outnumbered, so Korra is headed to Republic City to seek aid. But will she be able to convince President Raiko to send troops to help the South, and will she learn more about this mysterious Ryder?
The yacht had been traveling for several day's, traveling all the way north back to Republic City, which provided Ryder valuable time to stay away from everyone and keep to himself. Sure, people were there, and one of them (He thought her name was Asami?) kept pestering him, asking to inspect his blaster pistol, but he kept to himself for the past 4 years since the fall, he could do it a bit longer. The DL-18, while cheap, was good enough for him, and he doubted she would be able to understand the mechanisms behind it.
As he put the finishing touches on the bandages he still wore across his chest, he hissed as his fingers lightly touched his wound. Katara told him that it would scar, no healing could be done to permanently fix it. That was OK with him, as long as it wasn't killing or restricting him in the slightest. He already had plenty of scars, what's one more? He grabbed his shirt off of the table provided for him in his room, and began to put it on. With his clothing on now, he glanced towards his...weapon. It sat there, right next to the satchel. No, he wouldn't. Too much risk, no need to have it on him. He instead grabbed his blaster pistol and holstered it, before going over his inventory again. It had become somewhat of a nervous habit for him for the past several years, over-checking what he had on hand. He had already done it 4 times since he got on this boat.
He counted two comm-links, a re-breather, some food, a flashlight, power charges for his blaster, and the satchel. He still hadn't opened it yet, despite his gut telling him he should. It was a strange feeling in all honesty, it felt like something was calling to him from it...a voice...
He pulled away his hand, when did he reach out with it? No, there was no voice, he was just imagining things. Reawakening to the force did crazy stuff to your head, he reasoned. That made sense, didn't it?
Leaving behind the rest of his things except his blaster (just in case), he grabbed a spare coat off the hanger in his room and slipped outside. The cold air of the sea, combined with the fact that it was night, did wonders for the frigid temperatures outside right now. He so totally loved being engulfed in the freezing cold, it was totally his favorite thing in the galaxy, of all time.
He chuckled to himself. Master Gida never approved of his sarcasm, she would call it the "language of thugs." She was never one for casual social communication.
Ryder made his way to the deck of the ship, shivering underneath his heavy coat and rubbing his hands together. He tried to warm his hands via breath as he noticed one of his new compatriots had a similar idea to him. The brunette, Asami he remembered, was drinking some sort of beverage out of a thermos. Seeing the sight of the insulated bottle nearly made him cry, at least this rock had something that wasn't primitive! He nearly made his way over to her before stopping himself. She probably was busy, he shouldn't make himself a nuisance. He turned to leave, but was interrupted when she spoke out loud "Having trouble sleeping too?"
"How'd you tell?" He asked as he turned to face her. She had a similar coat to him on, as well as a pair of gloves. She held the thermos in both hands. "No one else is outside in the middle of the night either, and traveling by boat has never exactly been my forte." She responded with a small smile. Ryder let out a breath he didn't know he was holding before approaching her. "You look terrible! Have you slept at all this entire trip?" Come to think of it, he didn't remember the last time he slept since he arrived on this planet. The lines underneath his eyes though weren't a recent addition. He decided to change the topic.
"Do you know when we arrive?" She frowned a bit at his blatant disregard for his health, but she answered regardless. "According to Varrick, we should be in Republic City by tomorrow morning." She then smiled again. "I think you'll like Republic city, it's a lot bigger than the south pole. Maybe you'll be a bit more comfortable, considering you've probably been to dozens of cities before."
"Yeah, sure..." He responded. So far his cover-story as some traveler from space was working fine so far. They didn't suspect a thing, and if they did they didn't show it. That too was fine with him. As soon as they got to this 'Republic City' he'd find his own place to crash. Even though he said he'd stick around, he highly doubted that that proposition would pan out for the foreseeable future. Best to move on as soon as he could.
"So, what's it like?" He glanced at her, confused. "You know, space! Is there small green men with space-ships? Do you use live underground or on the stars? Or how about-?" Before she could continue, he interrupted her.
"Slow down! Kriff, is everyone on this ro - planet as questioning as you?"
"Well, we've never seen what space is like! All we know is...here." She spread her arms out, gesturing to, well, the world around her. Ryder sighed, before responding. "Alright, guess I can tell you some things." He noticed her excited look. "First of all, there isn't 'little green men' like your imagining, though there are small green people. The galaxy is...wait, do you even know what a galaxy is?" She shook her head. "Kriff, I'm going to have to explain the basics to everyone aren't I. Whatever, I'll cross that bridge when I get there."
He cleared his throat. "Now, there's something called the Galaxy, which a collection of stars, planets, moons, and more all held close together by gravity, you know what that is right?" He was relieved to see her nod. "Good. Now, we live in a galaxy comprised of millions of worlds and...give me a minute." He then ran off towards the rooms. Asami waited for several minutes before he came back, holding...some small device. "Now, this is the galaxy." He then clicked a button, and instantly bright blue light shot out of the device, detailing...wow...it was beautiful to Asami. Spirals of lights and clouds, all swirling around in a cacophony of shapes, sizes and colors.
"It's...amazing."
"Yeah, it really is." Ryder softly smiled, a hint of sadness in his tone. It dissipated when he spoke again. "Now, this inner center is called the Deep core, it's where most of the galaxy's density comes from. Spreading out from it, you have the Core Worlds, where the main bodies of government are. Then, the colonies and inner rim, then the expansion and mid rim, and finally the outer rim." He pointed to the corresponding sections. "Each part has something different about them, amount of planets, lawlessness, people, etc". He then pointed away from the galaxy, to the darkness around it. "Finally, you have the unknown regions, where I think we are right now."
"We're...unknown?"
"That's my current working theory. This planet is unidentified by any of my remaining charts, aka my map." He commented. "I can't find our exact position in the unknown regions, but it's still just an assumption. Who know's, maybe this is an entire different galaxy! Hell, maybe an alternate universe to mine!" He chuckled to himself, before noticing Asami's bewildered expression. "Right...don't know about that. That's a topic I don't want to discuss right now."
"Alright then...can you show me it then?" Her eye's glowed up almost instantly, as she eagerly looked at Ryder's blaster. He took a few seconds to register what she was asking, but got it. "Oh, right, promised I would. Uh, sure. Here you go." He then pulled it out of his holster, and gave it to Asami. "This is a custom DC-15 Blaster, I shortened it to make it smaller and more portable. Now, the safety's on so it won't fire but..." as he tried to explain, Asami fiddled with it in her hands, and noticed a small lever. Flicking it, the blaster then gave a low humming noise, and she felt it vibrate.
"Ok you got it on, so never-mind about me teaching you how to turn it on. Now to fire you-" She found the trigger, and aiming it down below at the water, she fired.
BZARP
"Holy Crap You Figured It Out Whatthehell." Ryder jumped as Asami smirked. "Interesting..." She muttered before taking aim again. But right as soon as she was about to pull the trigger, a voice from behind shot out "What's going on!?" Korra and the others came rushing out to the dock, with Varrick wearing...a rather revealing set of sleepwear and Zhu-Li still wearing her office clothes. Ryder would question that decision, but realized that in the end, it didn't matter.
"Ryder's just showing me his blaster." Asami answered, but was ignored as everyone gazed in awe at the hologram. Kriff, he forgot to turn it off. "What...is that?" Mako asked aloud, voicing everyone's thoughts. "And more importantly, how can I get my hands on it!" Guess who said that?
"Guy's, your not going to believe this. This, is where we live." Asami couldn't contain her excitement as she motioned to the hologram. "Ryder's been telling me all about the, 'Galaksi?'"
"Galaxy." Ryder then sighed. "I suppose you all want to learn more now, don't you?" They all nodded, with Bolin practically shaking his head off in excitement! "Alright then, settle down. This is gonna take a while."

Soon, night turned to day, and they could see the entirety of Republic City on the horizon. As Ryder stepped outside his room, his satchel slung over his shoulders, he got a good look at the supposed "Biggest City in the World."
He was not that impressed in all honesty.
Now, consider Ryder for a moment, dear reader. He hails from beyond the stars, from a galaxy of wonder and mystery! Massive cities beyond comprehension to the inhabitants of this world! In his travels across the galaxy, he had seen planet sized cities many times, and towns bigger than this! He had seen villages sculpted from mountains and raised from the sea. Comparing all of that to a simple city, no matter it's size, put thing's in perspective on how small this world was to him. He was in all honesty, disappointed.
"Surprised?" He heard Mako from behind him on the deck, for Ryder had walked onto it to get a good view of the city. Glancing at the police officer, he gave no reaction. "Yeah, didn't think so. Considering where you're from." He whistled as he pointed up to the sky, which Ryder gave a small smirk too. "Ha-Hey, He smiles! Seem's like your not an emotionless alien."
"Who called me that?"
"Varrick mostly, probably because you refused to show him how you can do your, y'know?" He made a hand gesture, as if he was moving something. Ryder groaned, right, of course it was Varrick. The inventor had been desperate to learn more of Ryder's..."abilities." It had gotten to the point where Ryder had called him a "Pompous overly questioning Nerf Herder. Despite only himself knowing what it truly meant, they all picked up on it being an insult, and Varrick was never insulted.
"Joy." He responded to Mako, who at this point joined him at leaning on the railing, overlooking the metropolis before them as they approached it. The docks were close by now, and the two of them heard Korra shout to them "Guy's, were getting off soon!" With that, Mako turned and made his way to the ramp, leaving Ryder alone for a moment, still watching the city growing ever closer. He felt...strange. Why did he feel so...directionless? He had no plan. Years of being on the run had taught Ryder many lessons, with one of them always being forefront and relevant: Always have a goal, always know what you need.
Right now, he had no path, no goals, besides stick around with Korra and her friends and get off this planet, but those weren't his forefront motives. He just...didn't know what to do. He gazed at his hand, feeling the presence of the Force around him. Ever since he had reawoken to the Force, he felt...powerful. This planet, it was granting him strength. It had only been a few day's since his re-learning of the Mind Trick, and before that he could lift with the Force. His allies didn't know the true extent of his capabilities, he kept up the ruse of "implants used for shipping goods" fairly well, as well as a full cover story as a full-time explorer. No mention of "Jae'Dai" to them. He would never tell them that, he would forget it.
NO
What was that? Ryder paled as he swiveled around. That voice, or rather two, had whispered into his ears. He couldn't find the source, but he knew he heard that. Because who else could?
He was going crazy, that was it. Time and the realization he may be the last of his kind were finally catching up to him.

Whatever Korra heard, she knew it had to be connected to Ryder. Just somehow, she knew. The loud mysterious "NO" from out of nowhere, the fact that no one else seemed to hear it, and that it spoke in the same voice that told her that Ryder was lying about himself. Now, did she trust the mysterious voice? No, not completely. After all, what person would trust a mysterious voice? She'll have to keep her eye on Ryder, because she knew that he was hiding something. Her gut told her that, and her gut has never wrong...except with trusting Unalaq, but that was neither here nor there.
As she stepped off the boat, Mako by her side, she saw Lin Beifong make her way towards them. Lin, the Chief of Police in Republic City, was someone who took the adage of "Tough but fair" to just "Tough." Cold and stern, her eyes glared at the Avatar as she approached her. "Welcome home, Avatar. Thanks for starting a war." She said sarcastically.
"I didn't start a war." Korra defensively said, before continuing a bit more sheepishly "Well, I did, but it's more complicated than you're making it seem."
Lin immediately turned to Mako. "Mako, I want you back on the beat. There's going to be a Southern Water Tribe peace march tonight. I need you there to make sure things don't get out of hand."
"I'm all yours."
"I'll go too." Korra added. "The people of the South need to see that the Avatar is on their side in the fight against the Northern invaders."
Lin scoffed. "Great, that should calm them down." She was about to walk away, but then noticed a new figure behind them. She glared at Ryder, who felt the immediate urge to shrink down into a ball and run away. The common effects of the patented "Beifong Glare." A devastating weapon that only few can possess.
"Who's the new kid?" She asked, tone flat.
"This is Ryder, he's uh...not from around here." Korra answered for him, to the annoyance of said person. He really didn't want to be here. Lin then said "Whatever" and walked away. Thusly, leaving them all standing around. Mako then turned to her. "Maybe you should sit this out."
"What?"
"I just think having you there blatantly supporting one side will only make things worse. You could at least try to seem neutral." He responded, only to be met with the angry face of his girlfriend. "I'm not neutral! The North invaded my home. The only reason I'm here is to get the Republic to send troops to help the South."
At this point, Varrick interjected. "Zhu Li's already scheduled a meeting for us with President Raiko tomorrow. We'll get them on board."
"Whatever. I gotta get to work." Mako then walked away, followed by Asami saying "I better go check on my factory. I'll take Ryder home to, get him situated." That had been the agreement the night before, Ryder would stay with Asami for the time being until someone named "Tenzin" got back home with his family. Then, he would move in to Air Temple Island. As they walked away, Korra said as well "I'm going to find out about this peace march."
"And I am dying for a pedicure!" Varrick exclaimed, as he walked with Zhu Li off the docks. That left Bolin alone, standing. "So, um, what should I be doing?"
"I don't know, Bolin. Figure something out." Mako responded as he walked away. However, Varrick overheard Bolin's dejected sigh, and rushed right back to the young man. " Say, kid, have you ever seen Republic City at night?" At this, Pabu slithered into Bolins shirt, hiding.
"Sure, I live here."
"Have you really seen it?" Varricks question confused the earthbender. "Y- no?"
"That's what I thought. Come on!"

Far Away. Bakura
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...No. Nothing." Spoke the Rodian Merchant as he looked upon the hologram of a young man. The Third Sister growled as she stood before the Alien, her stormtroopers aiming their blaster's at them. "I will ask ONE more time. Have you seen this man?"
"And I keep tellin' ya! No, I haven't. Whoever they are ain't important enough for Zip Klarsa, let me tell you that!" The Rodian arrogantly puffed out, straightening his coat, before gesturing to her and her troops "Now will ya get outta my store? You'll scare customers away."
The Third Sister stood in silence, nary a sound being made. That is, until she huffed. Her nose flaring underneath her mask. It continued, she huffed and growled in pure, unadulterated rage, fury filling her very veins! Zip Klarsa stepped back from her, in total fear, and reached for his blaster. But before he could grab it, she shot her hand out, and he began to choke. Air leaving his lungs, he gasped and clawed at his throat, desperate to breath!
"WHERE. IS. HE? I KNOW YOU'VE SEEN HIM BEFORE! TELL ME!" The Third Sister shouted to the rodian, who's eyes began to bulge out of his head as he attempted to say "Ok-Ok! I'll talk!" Her grip loosened, but not enough to stop, he still was choking. "He-He came to...my shop...ab-about a month...ago. Asked for...a...job. Sh...shot him down. Told him about...Cristophsis!"
"Thank you." She loosened her grip further, much to the relief of the merchant. But she then tightened it dramatically, to the terror of the rodian. He attempted to scream for his life, but could make no more words as she used the force to crush his windpipe. He then fell to the floor, motionless, cold, dead.
"Prepare my ship! We're going to Christophsis!" She ordered her troops. They nodded in compliance, and they left the store.
Hi. This is a shorter chapter, but I made it this way to let you all know that A: I'm still alive, and that this story isn't dead! And B: I'm tired and didn't want to write a lot, since I have to finish 3 more papers for classes right now.
I'm sorry about the delay, but next chapter will be longer! I promise! And it'll come out before the end of the year! Hopefully if I stay motivated, I can finish Season 2 this month! Hahahaha...oh I'm fucked.
Imma now go play some Destiny. That shit is fun.
