Chapter 40.
(Zac POV)
Then next day when we woke up it was still was it last the last time, Me in Mimmi's Body and Mimmi in mine. Lucky today we are don't have school but we decided to spend the day with Rikki so we went for a walk which was when we saw this girl on a boat which won't start and Rikki smiled.
"You had something to do with that," I said.
"Yeap, Anything which pisses off Zane works for me," Rikki said. "No come on we got to help her," Then she ran and jumped onto the Boat.
"We aren't going to try that," Mimmi said.
"Yeah," I said. Then we ran and jumped but we both landed on the boat and the girl scream. "Ears,"
"Oh Sorry," She said. "Is this suppose to be some sort of rescue? Because there's a fatal flaw here, I don't mean to state the obvious, but we're just floating out to sea, Both of us, You took that,"
"Zane Bennett's a pig, Anything I can do to get under his skin can't be a bad thing can it," Rikki said.
"Ha," Both Mimmi and I said.
"Cool thanks Rikki," She said.
"You know my name," Rikki said.
"Yeah, well, I've seen you around school, Even you 2, Since you arrived, I've been meaning to say hello and everything," She said.
"Mimmi Light her up," Rikki said.
"Already on it," I said firing up the motor as Rikki Took over and then we soaked the hell out of Zane and went off.
"Yeah, Anyway My is Cleo," Cleo said.
"Mimmi Sheppard," I said.
"Zac Sheppard, Her Brother," Mimmi said.
As We kept going. When.
"Emma, want a ride?" Cleo said.
"Are you licensed?" Emma said.
"Are you my mother?" Rikki said.
Then Emma got in and we went on.
"Wanna go out to sea," Rikki said.
"Isn't it dangerous in a park this size," Emma said.
"Chill out," Rikki said.
As we headed further out. Then the Engine went.
"Rikki stop, You will flood the engines," I said.
"Are we chilled out yet," Emma said.
"So we're floating, It's not like we're sinking," Rikki said.
"Not yet," Emma said.
"We must be out of fuel," Mimmi said.
"Feel like paddling to that island?" Rikki said.
"What Mako," I said.
"Mako Island, Forget it," Emma said.
"No one goes there," Cleo said. "It's surrounded by sharks, and reefs and Mangroves,"
"Well, It's the only option we have," Mimmi said. As we started to Paddling over to Mako and Mimmi and I tired no to get hit by the water.
As we got over and was close enough to jump onto the island Mimmi and I did. As Emma, Rikki and Cleo got the boat onto the beach.
"How are we ever going to get back home," Cleo said.
"Good question Cleo, Ask your friends there," Emma said.
"Don't put this on me," Rikki said.
"Oh it was someone else's fault," Emma said. "Someone else took this thing miles offshore, You 4 are lucky I've got this,"
"Emma, really prepared," Cleo said.
"Does mean she has to be like that," I said.
"I'm not getting any signal," Emma said. "We should try and get to higher ground,"
"Or we could stay here and wait for a boat," I said.
"What," Emma said.
"Going off in there and you risk going up against snakes and who knows what else, Staying here we have a chance of being spotted," I said.
"Mimmi's Right," Mimmi said.
"But that could takes hours," Emma said. "Days maybe, No we go to higher ground,"
Then Emma and Cleo goes then Rikki follows. As Mimmi gets closer.
"We can't let them find the moon pool," Mimmi whispered.
"Or the Land entrance," I said.
"You 2 coming," Rikki said.
"Yeah," I said. As We started walking as Mimmi grabbed hold on my hand. As we started walking.
As made sure not to hit the river.
"Do you have any idea where you're going," Rikki said.
"Just up," Emma said. "I'm still not getting a signal,"
"Maybe we won't get a signal," Cleo said. "What then. What if we can't call anyone, What if nobody finds us,"
"We'll have to draw straws, and decide which one of us the others will eat," Rikki said.
"Yeah, not funny Rikki, Plus there has to be Fish out there we can find, Hell they could be fruit here," I said.
As we went on but the problem was we were heading to the Moon pool Land entrance.
"What now," Mimmi whispered as we got to it.
"When is the next full moon," I whispered back.
"Tonight," Mimmi whispered.
"Along as they are not in the moon pool when the moon is over it. But we need to be there, It could send us home," I whispered back.
"As well as the other thing," Mimmi whispered.
"Yeah," I whispered.
"Mind your step," Emma said.
Then Emma jumped, as did Rikki. But when it came to Cleo.
"I can't do this it's too slippery," Cleo said. "There's gotta be another way," Then Cleo fell down the Entrance to the Moon pool.
"Cleo," Emma said. "Cleo,"
"I'm okay, I'm fine," Cleo said.
"Can you climb up," Emma said.
"No," Cleo said.
"Hold on," I said.
As Mimmi and I went down.
"What's wrong," I said.
"I think I hurt my ankle," Cleo said.
Then Emma fell down.
"Are you okay," Emma said.
"My leg hurts a little," Cleo said.
"It's her ankle," I said.
"It's probably just sprained," Emma said.
"Whoa," Rikki said as she came down.
"What are you doing here?" Emma said.
"Well, you came down," Rikki said.
"You were meant to stay up at the top and throw down a rope or something," Emma said.
"Sorry what is she a Mind reader," Mimmi said.
"Shouldn't we concentrate on getting out of here," Cleo said.
"Yep," Rikki said.
Then we started walking. As Mimmi and I were at the back.
"What now it's nearly time," Mimmi whispered.
"I know," I whispered.
"There's no way out," Rikki said.
"Let's try here," Emma said.
"That's where the moon pool is," I whispered.
"What can we do," Mimmi whispered.
"Expect from telling them about us, Nothing," I whispered.
"The Moon will be up soon," Mimmi whispered.
As we went into the moon pool area but stayed back a bit from the water.
"Wow," Rikki said. "The is like the cone of a volcano,"
"It's not going to erupt is it," Cleo said.
"No, We would have seen Lava before we even got here. Even felt the heat too," I said.
"We're safe," Mimmi said.
"Look, Tidal rings," Emma said. "The level of the pool rises and falls,"
"So," Rikki said.
"So it's connected to the ocean," Emma said. "There might be a way out,"
Then Emma went in.
"I'm not going to like this," Cleo said.
"If they get out what about us," Mimmi whispered. "We can't go in there without showing ourselves,"
"I know," I whispered. "Maybe we could cloak swim out get on land and dry off,"
"But we have to decloak so we could dry off," Mimmi whispered.
After a few minutes.
"Emma, Emma," Cleo said.
"Relax just give her a minute," Rikki said.
Then Emma came back.
"I was right," Emma said. "It's about a 20 second swim to the reef outside, Straight through, Plenty of room, We can all fit,"
"Through there," Cleo said. "No way,"
"Come on Cleo," Rikki said. "There's not other way out, You can do it,"
"I can't do it," Cleo said. "and besides I can't swim,"
"The Moon is nearly in position," I whispered.
"I know, I can feel it," Mimmi whispered. "If we can get in there before they stop what is happening maybe we can go home,"
"And if it doesn't," I whispered. "Then what,"
"I don't know but it is worth a try," Mimmi whispered.
"Everything will be fine," Emma said.
"How can you be sure," Cleo said.
"Listen to her, Cleo," Rikki said.
"Rikki's right what alternative do we have," I said.
"Stay stuck down here forever," Mimmi said.
As They got Cleo in as the Moon was coming to view as the Moon pool was already Reacting. Then When it did Mimmi and I jumped in but nothing happened. We were at the bottom of the moon pool. So I grabbed Mimmi and we swam out and fast. But then there was a boat we couldn't get out without people seeing us so we swam to one of our spots as we saw the boat leave.
Then Mimmi and I surfaced.
"What now," Mimmi said.
"Nothing happened. Nor did we switch back," I said.
"What are we missing," Mimmi said.
"I don't know," I said. "Wait, Emma, Rikki and Cleo was in the Moon pool when it activated we have to make sure they don't actually have,"
"I know, Come on," Mimmi said as we went over and swam back and got dry. Then We started to think. "What Now? What do we say to the others,"
"Nothing till we know," I said. As we started heading for Rikki where we found her next to a sprinkler.
"What happened to you 2," Rikki said as She got hit and then It happened to her. "What the, How did this happen?"
"We need to get to Emma, Cleo," I said as we dried off Rikki.
"How did you do that," Rikki said.
"Never mind that come on," Mimmi said.
"It was orange and covered with scales," Cleo said.
"The Minute I hit water, I was water for a second," Emma said.
"I was a fish even Mimmi and Zac saw it," Rikki said.
"What's going on," Emma said.
"That's what I wanna know," Rikki said.
"Is there anyone else here," I said.
"No, Dad's at work," Cleo said. "My sister and Mom are shopping,"
"Alright," Mimmi said.
"Okay, what happened to us," Emma said.
"Seriously we get wet and then we grow these tails," Rikki said.
"And they go when we're dry, and that's the same with you 2 right," Cleo said. "The Tails are like,"
"Exactly like," Emma said.
"We look like Mermaids," Rikki said.
"What happened to you 2, We never saw you after you jumped in," Emma said.
"The Moon pool it did this," I said.
"What do you mean," Rikki said.
"A Moon pool by itself doesn't do that," Mimmi said.
"But it was a full moon and it was over the moon pool as you were in there," I said. "You all saw the moon pool react when the moon was right overhead,"
"How," Emma said as there was a knock on the door.
"Oh No, It's Lewis," Cleo said. "I forgot he's helping me with biology today,"
"Cleo," Lewis said. "Cleo oh, Do I got the time wrong,"
"No we said 9," Cleo said. "But sorry Lewis, something has come up,"
"Like what?" Lewis said.
"Just something important," Cleo said. "But, not so important that you need to know about it, Sorry, Lewis, I have to cancel,"
"Oh, Maybe some other time," Lewis said.
"Lewis, You're smart, Do you know anything about Mermaids," Cleo said.
"What is she doing," Mimmi whispered.
"No, Not really," Lewis said.
"Okay sorry bye," Cleo said. "What?"
"Are you serious, Anyone finds out what we are here, They take us anywhere somewhere," I said.
"Something well strange has happened to us," Emma said. "We don't know how and we certainly don't know why,"
"It's was the moon pool. When the Moon is over it the Moon pool activates and this could happen. It how a friend of ours got it," I said.
"There is a way to find out more," Rikki said.
"How," Cleo said.
"Go back in the water," Rikki said.
"But we need to make sure no one see us," I said.
"No way not me," Cleo said.
"I'm going," Rikki said. "What about you 2,"
"Yeah," Mimmi and I said.
As did Emma as we went down.
"I'm not so sure about this," Emma said.
"It's all right, I am," Rikki said.
"That gives me no confidence whatsoever," Emma said.
"As soon as you hit water it takes 10 seconds then it happens," I said.
Then Mimmi when with them as did I.
"10 seconds you sure," Rikki said.
"Yes," I said.
As we changed and fell into the water.
"What now," Emma said.
"Come on, Let's go for a swim," I said.
"With you there," Mimmi said.
"Rikki, Emma come on," I said as Mimmi and I took off under the water as did they. They finally got the hang of swimming. Eventually we decided to go back as Mimmi and I lead a way to a place where we could dry off. As Mimmi and I pulled ourselves out as did Emma and Rikki. As Mimmi and I dried ourselves off. Then Rikki and Emma.
"What, How did you do that," Emma said.
"Long story," Mimmi said.
"How come yours is Blue," Rikki said.
"Just is," Mimmi said.
"Come on," I said as we got them up.
Then we headed towards Emma
"So we climb out of water, and everything's back to normal when we're dry," Emma said. "Like nothing ever happened,"
"But it did," Rikki said. "It's got to be the best experience of my life, I mean are there even words for that,"
"Amazing," I said. "You know why don't you 3 come with Zac and I tomorrow,"
"Why," Emma said.
"We got for a swim every day," Mimmi said.
"Since we kind of need it," I said.
"Why," Emma said.
"Wait," Cleo said. "You will never believe what just happened,"
As we went into and up to Emma Room was Cleo made water move.
"And It grows even more," Cleo said.
"Where's the extra water coming from," Rikki said.
"I don't know," Cleo said as she let go as it fell. Then Emma raised her hand and froze it.
"Did I do that," Emma said.
"Yes," Mimmi said.
"It wasn't me," Cleo said.
"Okay, this is over the top," Rikki said. "I'm getting tingles now,"
"All I did was," Emma said. Freezing the water in a jug.
Then Rikki tried but nothing.
"Not fair, what don't I get to do the cool stuff?" Rikki said.
"I don't think Cool is the word," Cleo said. "It's scary,"
"No it awesome," I said.
"But you should have seen the look on Zane's face," Cleo said.
"This isn't Funny," Emma said.
"We've got to keep it a secret, From Everyone," I said.
"So this secret it's just between the 5 of us," Cleo said.
"No one else," Mimmi said.
"We're in this together now. Whatever happens," I said.
"Doesn't mean we're married does it," Rikki said.
"Nope," Mimmi said as we were laughing.
"Now that was actually funny," Emma said.
"How come you 2 go for a swim every morning you never did answer that," Emma said.
"Zac and I were born this way, We been together the whole time. Where ever we go, We go together," I said.
"Why," Cleo said.
"Our Magic. those powers you and Emma were using. It's stronger when we are together," Mimmi said.
"So you stay close to each other and you can do almost anything," Rikki said.
"Yes," I said.
"That is Sick," Rikki said.
