The Dark Heir
Chapter 11: Halloween
Harry woke up the next morning feeling very good about himself and the incredible victory he had over their most significant rival in the Quidditch Cup.
Harry woke the following day, feeling incredible. The events of yesterday came back to him, and he knew that the school would be talking about his incredible performance. He also knew James Potter, and Neville Longbottom would end up hating him even more now that he's crush Gryffindor in the first match of the season.
Delphi had gotten her revenge against Merula Synde so perfectly that no one could actually point the finger at Delphi or Tonks, given the fact there was no way to prove they were responsible. Tonks wasn't a parselmouth like Delphi and Harry. She was instead a metamorphosis and used her abilities a great deal.
Harry remembers the one time she hid from her mother and aunts by changing her appearance to look like other children in Diagon Alley, it took several hours to find her. She would have lasted longer if she hadn't tripped over a stranger's foot.
When Harry walks into the Slytherin Common Room, he could hear about the brilliance of his Quidditch performance.
Harry was suddenly grabbed by an older student and looks into the ugly face of Marcus Flint.
"You trying to make me look bad?" Flint snarls in Harry's face.
"What are you talking about, Flint?" Harry snaps.
"Who did you put up to have me knock out in a broom closet?" Flint snarls darkly.
So the Weasley Twins got the better of Flint. Most likely, they fed him a Sleeping Draught.
"You're a fool to think I had something to do, that is clearly your own fault," Harry hisses back. The way Harry hissed cause Flint to let go of Harry and back away from the first year. After staring at Harry for a brief moment, Flint walks off in frustration.
Harry knew this wasn't over, Flint would do something to get back at Harry for stealing the spotlight at the Quidditch Match.
Artemis, Daphne, and Tonks were all waiting for Harry as they walk out of the common room.
Lily had returned home and now walks naked in her house, thinking hard about her life and the path forward. It was still hard for her to grasp over the fact she willingly had sex with her own father and gave birth to his son, her brother.
Even if she was raised to believe the act was morally wrong, Lily knew she would end up in bed with her son/half-brother and bare him his child. Bellatrix and Andromeda support her knowing the conflict she was feeling, but she couldn't deny the fact she was sexually bond to her son, and the oath she took to give her son the best life, even at the cost of her body was an oath she was going to keep.
Lily was more curious to know about her mother. Victoria Morelli. The only problem was, there were hardly any records of her existence. Even within the Hogwarts alumni. All Lily knew was her mother graduated Hogwarts at the top of her class in 1945, and she was Slytherin.
Lily remembers when she took her sorting, 'You could do well in Slytherin, it's in your blood.'
The Sorting Hat knew of her heritage and tried to tell her.
Lily wonders what would have happened if she had been sorted in Slytherin.
Lily knew Dumbledore would know what happen to her real mother. The only problem was Lily, and the Headmaster wasn't on speaking terms, and he has long been prying into her family business. Lily thinks hard and realizes that Dumbledore knew all along. The way he's kept an uneasy close eye on her. He knew she was the daughter of the Dark Lord.
Lily walks into her bedroom and puts on her red garments before sitting down and starts working on one of her potions. The potion to restore her body innocence. She would be a virgin once more, and her son would claim her. Once her virgin blood was broken by her lover, she would be forever bound to him.
In truth, Lily didn't have much success in relationships. She may have gotten countless requests from single wizards all over the country. Mostly Gildary Lockhart. Lily would accept her son as her lover because she could trust her son.
Secrets were destroying her, and she wanted answers.
As long as everyone believed she was a muggle-born, then she would be perfectly safe from any stares and accusations. Lily knew what would happen if someone like Rita Skeeter got a hold of this information.
Lily spoke to Bellatrix, hoping Bellatrix can find some clues to her mother and what happened to her.
Unfortunately, her mother might as well have been a ghost. There were very few records regarding her existence. Finding her was proving to be more difficult than Lily had thought.
"You okay," asks Andromeda.
Lily stops her potions and lets out a heavy sigh.
"I don't know," says Lily. "first the time in my life, I don't know who I am."
Andromeda nods her head.
"I never would have imagined you as the Dark Lord's child," says Andy.
"It was a shock to me as well," says Lily. "being his lover is one thing. But to be his daughter, and to give birth to my own sibling. I'm shaken."
"I can understand if you don't want to follow through with our dreams," says Andy. "you don't have to."
"I'm going to," says Lily. "regardless of what my true lineage is, I love my son, and I belong to him."
Andy says nothing as she holds her friend. Lily embraces her friend as the two knew uncertainty lies ahead.
Neville Longbottom and James Potter swore as Harry Black had upstage Gryffindor in what should have been James Potter's starting debut of his Quidditch career. Not only did Slytherin make the biggest upset in Quidditch history, but James Potter was also officially benched for the next match Gryffindor had against Hufflepuff.
Classes resume, causing the school to focus back on their school work.
Harry had become the Hero of Slytherin.
Thankfully, the first lesson back was Potions, and Snape was surprisingly in a good mood. Snape mood is was so pleasant, every Gryffindor was petrified with fear on what could possibly make Snape 'happy', and how long before he would take house points from Gryffindor.
Harry sits with his cousins and Artemis behind their worktable to work on their potions. Artemis started to show some signs of confidence, but lean heavily upon Harry for courage.
When classes came to an end, they head towards dinner towards the famous Halloween feast. As usual, the three girls quickly fought to sit next to Harry. Delphi and Artemis got to Harry's side, but Tonk jumps over the table to sit across from Harry. Tonks rubs her legs on Harry's leg teasing him. Delphi, knowing her cousin very well, knew what she was doing.
Everyone continues to laugh and drink as time went by.
Everything stops when Professor Quirell burst through the Great Hall in a loud rush as he runs forwards, screaming, "Troll! Troll in the Dungeon!" everyone was silent as they look at Professor Quirrell. "thought you ought to know," Quirrell says before he collapses on the floor.
Everyone screams as they get to get away from the Troll.
"Silence!" Professor Dumbledore shouts over the noise causing the Great Hall to fall silent at once. Everyone turns to the Headmaster. "Prefects, you will lead your houses back to your dormitories. Teachers will come with me to search the dungeons."
The way Dumbledore had spoken was soft and kind that it removes the fears many of the students had felt upon the announcement there was a troll in the dungeon.
Harry gets up and takes a swing of his pumpkin juice before he gets up to follow the Slytherins to the Common Room. Harry was in no rush to return to the Common Room, so he walks in the back of the line.
Harry wasn't paying much attention to what was going on until several Slytherin's screams near the front. Everyone starts to scat upon seeing a massive Troll in the dungeon. The Slytherin's all bolted, as Harry, Artemis, Delphi, Tonks, Blaise, Daphne, and Draco were left behind with the massive Troll blocking their path. A large club that had to be once a tree was in his hands.
Crabbe and Goyle quickly hid behind a statue, but their bulk sizes made it impossible for anyone else to hide.
So the young group of first years did the only thing they could, they ran. They bolt and quickly went up the stairs with the Troll giving chase. The young first years ran down the hall, with the Troll bellowing loudly. The sound of his club hitting the wall sent echoes throughout the corridor.
"Out of bounds are you lot," says Filch walking up towards with a nasty smile. Mrs. Norris walks up behind Filch.
None of the first years says anything to Filch as they ran past him.
Filch begins to shout after the first years only to stop in his tracks to hear heavy footprints behind him. Filch eyes pop open wide upon the sight of a large troll running down the corridor. The Troll paid Filch no mind as he simply swings his massive hands in Filch, who flies backward, crashing down the staircase to the dungeon.
Harry kept running with his cousins behind him. They saw a student walk out of a room. It took a moment for the group to realize it was Hermione Granger.
Draco shoves her back inside as the group quickly enters the room. Everyone else follows. Upon entering the room, they saw it's the Girls Lavotoary. Everyone quickly hides in the stall as Granger starts shouting at them.
"The boys aren't supposed to be in here!" Granger harps. "I'm going to tell Professor McGonagall!"
Granger couldn't follow her attempt to report the boys in the girl's laboratory. The wall crash as the Troll breaks through the door. The next few seconds happened so fast, it was hard to determine what happened.
Granger attempts to open the stalls to enter with the rest of the Slytherins, but they kept the door shut. Granger tries to force the door open, but everyone kept it close.
Granger screams as the club swings his massive club in the lavatory. Granger ducks as the Troll destroy the wall and much of the stalls. Granger begins to crawl away, crying for help. Her cries only attract the attention of the Troll, who looks down between his feet to see Granger trying to getaway.
The Troll bends down to grab Granger, but she manages to escape and quickly hides behind the sink. The Troll turns around, destroying the wall with his club as he tries to look for Granger. He swings his club down and destroys the sink as Granger scatters away from the blow.
Harry looks at the Troll and knew it would be only a matter of time before the Troll spots the rest of the students. Granger cries kept the Troll's attention on her, but they couldn't escape. Harry pulls out his wand and didn't know what spell would work on a troll. Troll skins are very thick with only certain spells capable of hurting the Troll, and as a first-year, he knew very little magic that would be effective.
"Wingardium Leviosa," Harry says, waving his wand with the swish and flick like Professor Flitwick showed them in class a couple of weeks again.
Harry meant to lift the Troll in the air, not his club. Thankful, the Troll is so stupid when he swings his hand down, the club flew upwards instead of going down. The Troll looks at his empty hand as if pondering where his club had disappeared.
The club falls on top of his head, causing the Troll to look dizzy as he wobbles back and forth before he falls backward through the wall with a loud thud as he lands on the floor.
Everyone pause as they came out of the bathroom stalls to look at the Troll lying on the ground.
"It is dead?" Draco asks nervously as he pokes his head out the stall.
"Not likely," says Harry looking at the Troll's feet hanging in the bathroom. "I think I only knock it out."
"How did you know the levitation charm would work?" Delphi asks.
"I didn't," Harry admits. "I only try to lift the Troll itself in the air so we could escape before it could do anything. I didn't mean to lift its club."
"So misfortune luck?" says Delphi.
Harry raises an eyebrow at Delphi, wondering if she would try to blackmail him like she has in the past.
Apparently, the noise of the massive Troll hitting the canvas drew attention as the teachers soon appear at the girls' restroom entrance.
"Mr. Black! This is the girls' lavatory," Professor McGonagall shouts in alarm.
"I wasn't using the loo Professor," Harry says calmly. "My friends and I were trying to escape the troll that appeared in the dungeon."
"Explain yourself," Professor McGonagall says at once.
Harry does so, explaining the sudden appearance of the Troll and how the Slytherin's scattered throughout the dungeon. Harry and his friends took up the stairs, but the Troll gave chase, so they tried to hide in the stalls. Harry then explains using the Levitation Charm that lifts the Trolls club before falling on top of the Troll's head, knocking it out.
"By Merlin's beard," says Professor McGonagall. "to knock out a fully grown mountain troll with the levitation charm, that's amazing Black. Ten points to Slytherin. Now quick, return to your dormitories."
Hermoine makes her appearance shaking by her ordeal.
"Miss Granger, what are you doing here?" Professor McGonagall asks her first-year student.
Harry turns to leave, but as he does so, he notices that Professor Snape, who arrived with Professor Quirrel, had a limp with some blood on his robes. Harry says nothing as he turns and walks back towards the Slytherin dormitories with his friends.
Lily was seated by herself wearing one of the sluttiest witches robes she every own. The robe shows off her cleavage than any witches robe would.
Lily begins to ponder the truth on her own legacy for the first time. There was no question she was Voldemort's daughter, and by having his son, she had a brother/son that made her question her own sanity. Did her father break her from the moment she went to meet him? Or was she already broken?
To make matters worse, Lily knew on her son's fourteenth birthday, she would sleep with him. She would use the potion to regain her sacred maiden, so her son can take her and bind her to her son. Lily didn't know if her father loved her, all she did was let him fuck and use her body. Her son, she did love, and she knew he loved her as well.
Lily needed answers on the truth to her past, and the person she knew who would have those answers would be Dumbledore – the man well known for keeping more secrets than her father.
