The Dark Heir
Author Notes:
Chapter 18: Diagon Alley Ventures
Selena Wynter wakes up with her head on Harry's chest.
It took a moment to remember what happened last night and why she was wearing only stockings, panties, and a plaid miniskirt.
Last night… Merlin, last night had been amazing.
And It was only foreplay.
Selena finds Harry holding her, keeping her close.
It wasn't uncommon for prestige wizards to have a concubine.
Many great wizards have had concubines over the years and throughout the wizarding world's history.
Besides his wife, her grandfather had three other witches in his concubine.
Polygamy was allowed in the wizarding world. Though you were only allowed to marry one other. It was to keep the bloodline pure and strong.
Selena has never had any kind of relationship with another wizard before.
Thanks to Rita Skeeter, she may never have a relationship.
Her daughter was smitten, and it was clear even if she couldn't marry Harry, she would be one of his mistresses.
She would be too.
She wonders if her daughter would approve if they desire the same wizard.
She did not wish for her relationship with her daughter to become strained.
"You awake," says Harry.
"Yeah," says Selena.
Harry sits up as Selena leans against him.
Harry massages her left breast while his right rubs her belly.
Selena enjoys his touches, making her melt. She also knew by rubbing her belly, he had every intention to get her pregnant.
Selena embraces his right hand with her own and reaches up and grabs Harry's head. She doesn't pull but rather embraces him.
What would her daughter think of her?
The door opens as Andromeda walks in.
"Good, your both awake. Come, you're going to miss your breakfast. Your school letters arrived. We're heading to Diagon Alley," says Andromeda.
Selena felt slightly embarrassed at being seen, but Andromeda didn't say anything.
Harry gets up and scoots off his bed.
He leads Selena off the bed.
Selena wants to grab a robe or something.
"Come on, don't be shy," Andromeda says, slapping her ass.
Selena flushes as she's never had a witch touch her before, let alone slap her ass.
Selena walks out topless.
She looks like a slut, and her daughter would see her like this.
She enters the kitchen to see her daughter talking to Delphi and Dora.
Her daughter looks at her, and Selena can't bear to meet her daughter's gaze. She looks down in shame.
"Does this mean you'll be one of Harry's mistress's mom?" says Artemis.
"Yes," Selena says softly.
Selena expected her daughter to curse her, to scream. To proclaim she ruined her life.
"I didn't think you would agree," says Artemis.
"Heh?" says Selena.
Selena looks at her daughter in surprise.
Artemis was smiling at her.
"Harry did say he would claim you. I didn't think it would happen overnight," says Artemis.
Selena looks down at Harry.
"I saw you on the station. I told Artemis my intentions from the start. She is all for it if you are," says Harry.
Selena says nothing, wondering if her daughter had set her up.
It didn't matter.
Selena hugs Harry, thanking him for making her feel alive once more.
"Are you sure you can handle a mother and daughter?" says Selena.
"Very much," says Harry.
Selena takes her seat at the table.
Bellatrix appears and holds something.
Selena takes a look and sees it's a choker.
Bellatrix smiles as Selena knows what it means and represents.
Selena grabs her hair and holds it upright as Bellatrix straps the collar around her neck.
Now Selena was the mistress and property of Harry Black.
"Breakfast, young master," says Kreacher.
"Tell me I'm not going out like this," says Selena.
"Of course not," says Harry.
Selena sighs in relief. She may be bound to Harry, but she still had some reigns of self-control.
The runes on her body would protect her from ensuring only the man she's devoted to would be allowed to her body.
Even if she was raped, the runes would ensure she wouldn't get pregnant.
Meaning she would only bear Harry's child until his death.
"Gilderoy Lockhart," says Lily.
"What about him?" says Andromeda.
"His books are all over the book list," says Lily.
Andromeda picks up her daughter's school list and sees Gilderoy Lockhart's name all over the book list.
"Wonder why?" says Bellatrix.
"I'll make sure to get the kids proper books," says Lily.
After breakfast, they all got dressed.
They all went to Diagon Alley.
Selena, who is fully dressed, felt strange.
She had to restrain herself, she told herself.
He's twelve years old.
Yet, she could feel herself melting and having the sudden desire to tear off her robes and pounce on the young wizard, wanting him to ravish and take her.
Harry looks at his booklist, and sure enough, almost all his books were Gilderoy Lockhart's.
Harry has never read any of Lockhart's books but knew he had lusted after his mother and aunts.
Kreacher read all their mails and would burn admirers or unwanted mail. Over the years, the suitors have only grown. Whether men were single or married, everyone desired one of the Black sisters.
The foreplay was over, and Selena wore a corset and lower robes.
Bellatrix made it clear she would tease her regarding her commitment towards Harry.
Selena is a bit uncomfortable but wears an overclock to hide her discomfort. Her belly was showing. She tries to walk beside the Black's, happy that no one can recognize her.
When visiting Diagon Alley in the past, she would always have to conceal herself.
It felt good to at least travel with friends.
"Cissy owled me. We should meet up with her," says Andromeda.
"They shopping too? I hope they're not getting Gilderoy Lockhart's books," says Lily.
"Where are meeting them?" asks Bellatrix.
"They mention they'll be at Flourish and Blotts before the crowds arrive," says Andromeda.
"Is there an event at Flourish and Blotts?" asks Lily.
Lily loves books and reads them much.
"She didn't say," says Andromeda.
Lily felt an uneasy sense of dread.
As they approach the bookstore, they see why.
Gilderoy Lockhart hosts a book signing of his own Magical Me at nine o'clock.
As it was already past nine, the crowds had only gotten bigger.
"Let's head upstairs," says Lily.
They couldn't get anywhere near the first floor with the number of wizards and witches gathering around Gilderoy Lockhart, seated behind a table with a large smile.
They head upstairs, and sure enough, they see Nacrissa and Lucius looking down with a sneer on their face.
"Well, I see I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy Lockhart," says Bellatrix.
"Aunt Bellatrix," says Draco.
"Hello Draco, how's my favorite nephew?" asks Bellatrix.
"I'm your only nephew," says Draco.
Draco knew Harry wasn't really Regulus Black's son. Rather the Dark Lord's son. As his mother vouched for the truth, Draco understood his only cousins were Dora and Delphi.
Still, Harry and Draco grew up like brothers.
"What's brought this on?" asks Andromeda.
"What do you think? Lockhart needing to feed that overgrown ego of his," says Lucius.
"Let's get the kids their books. I doubt Lockhart's books hold any educational value," says Lily.
They wanted to get out of the store as quickly as possible. The first floor was too filled up with wizards and witches, all wanting to have Lockhart sign their books.
"It can't be Neville Longbottom!" Lockhart suddenly cries.
Harry, Draco, Delphi, and Dora all look over the rail and see Neville Longbottom and James Potter II.
Worse, they could see the Weasley Family.
Molly Weasley looks porky as ever. The Black was horrified at the sight of Mrs. Weasley's robe.
Neville and James walk with Lockhart and begin taking photos with Lockhart.
Both had large smiles as Lockhart's stood beside them happily.
"That's repulsing," says Dora.
"That's an understatement," says Harry.
Harry looks around through the crowd and spots her.
Olivia Potter.
Looking out of place and wishing to be anywhere else.
Harry walks down the stairs with his mother, keeping a close eye on him.
Harry disappears into the crowd and grabs Olivia's hand.
Olivia doesn't expect Harry to appear but follows him as he leads up the stairs.
Lily eyes Olivia coldly.
She knew she was the daughter of James Potter, the wizard who has chased her around all throughout her Hogwarts years.
"Why are you with your brother?" asks Harry.
"We're staying with the Weasley's," Olivia said bitterly.
Harry looks at her with a raised eyebrow.
"It was Ron's idea. Clearly trying to butter them up to be invited into the same social circles as Longbottom," says Olivia.
"Where's your mom?"? asks Harry.
"Work," says Olivia.
"Let's get the books and get out of here. I can't stand being in Longbttom's presence," says Harry.
They quickly gather their books, unwilling to spend any more time in the store than they had to. Other than the Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2. Lily picks out books on Transfiguration, Charms, and Potions.
"I have an announcement!" shouts Lockhart.
"It's my great pleasure that this year Hogwarts, I have signed on to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor!" says Lockhart.
A large applause came from the crowd.
The Blacks felt terrified.
"You think he's doing this to get close to the children?" asks Andromeda.
"I wouldn't doubt it," says Bellatrix.
Unlike most wizards, Lockhart is persistent in marrying one of the three single Black's sisters. Even though Lily Black is a Black only through her previous marriage to Regulus, she was still Briton's most desirable Bacherolettes.
They put their books in their bags after paying and made to leave.
"I'm shocked, Weasley. Are you so desperate for decent school supplies, you're asking for hangouts?" says Draco.
Ron Weasley had been speaking to a young female redhead before he turned sharply and saw Draco.
"Malfoy! What are you doing?" demands Ron.
"We're shopping for the new school year. Nothing illegal about that is there, Weasley," says Harry.
By now, Ron Weasley notices the Malfoy's and the Black's coming down the stairs.
"I notice you got yourself a girlfriend, Weasley. Merlin, she's hideous," says Delphi.
Delphi mocks Ron knowing full well that the young female is his sister, never to miss a moment to torment others.
"She's my sister," snaps Ron.
"That makes better sense. A wizard of your stature would never acquire a proper girlfriend," says Delphi.
Bellatrix couldn't hold back her smile as her daughter didn't mince her words.
Ron flushes a shade of red, as does his sister.
"Ron, where are you?" came the voice of Hermoine Granger.
"Oh, Malfoy, Black," says Hermione.
"Hello, Mudblood," says Harry.
The crowd lets out a gasp upon hearing the words come from Hadrian Black's mouth.
They expected his mother, Lily Black, a muggleborn, to snap at her son.
She did not.
She walks over and places her hand on her son's shoulders.
"Hermione Granger," says Lily.
Hermoine tries not to blink as she stares into Lily's green eyes.
"I would have thought you would take offense to such language," snaps Molly Weasley.
"I have been called a mudblood since I have stepped foot on Hogwarts," Lily says coldly.
"Even my sister-in-law Bellatrix calls me a mudblood ten times a day."
Bellatrix shrugs her shoulders with a smile.
Everyone couldn't help but be confused about why Bellatrix and Lily seemed to have such a great relationship then.
"Is there a reason why you allow this?" snaps Mrs. Weasley.
"Understand our intent by the word, Molly," says Nacrissa.
"When I call Lily a mudblood, it's no insult, and she knows it. We grew together during our time in captivity and became good friends. For me, it's a habit, but one that Lily understands," says Bellatrix.
"You, on the other hand, Hermione Granger, are a condescending witch who believes herself better than others. Suppose I had to defy the word mudblood. In that case, It's a witch or wizard who comes from a muggle family who believes they know better or think they are better than the wizarding society," says Lily.
Hermione flushes a shade of red. Lily Black is one of her ideals, and she received an insult from one of the most famous muggleborns of the era.
Lily wanted to make clear what the term mudblood really stood for.
Hermoine wasn't the only one who flushed a shade of red.
Molly Weasley also turns crimson.
Everyone begins talking about how Lily Black, a muggbleborn stood at the idea of mudbloods.
"You actually stand against the idea of muggleborns joining our world?" says Arthur Weasley.
"The Black family and the Malfoy's stand for the idea of muggleborn joining the wizarding world. But they must learn traditions and culture. I learned more about traditions and culture during my time in captivity than all seven years at Hogwarts. Remaining ignorant of our ways is a sin in of itself," says Lily.
This time, Arthur Weasley flushes a shade of red.
"I see you haven't outgrown your ignorance, Arthur," says Lucius.
Arthur turns purple at the site of Lucius Malfoy.
"I hear you're working overtime at the Ministry. Conducting a lot of raids. I trust they're paying you over time," says Lucius.
He grabs Ginny's cauldron and looks inside.
"Oblivious not. I see you're still a disgrace to the name wizard," says Lucius.
"We both have very different ideas of what disgraces the name wizard, Malfoy," Arthur says strongly.
"Clearly," says Lucius handing Ginny her cauldron back.
"I thought you could sink no lower. Not since…"
Whatever Lucius was going to say, he couldn't. At that moment, Arthur Weasley threw himself at Lucius. His right fist connects with Lucius's jaw throwing him to the ground.
This action caught Lily and Harry off guard and hit the floor when Lucius collided with them.
They couldn't get up as Arthur had thrown himself on Lucius, kept punching him.
Lily and Harry were caught underneath. Bellatrix and Andromeda immediately came to Lily's aid, trying to pull her out underneath the fight.
"Get him, dad!" shouts the Weasley twins.
Mrs. Weasley shrieks at her husband to stop.
Bellatrix losing her temper flicks her wand as Arthur Weasley yelps in pain.
"That's enough," shouts Rubeus Hagrid.
He grabs Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy and pulls them apart like rag dolls with little effort.
Lucius Malfoy stands up with a busted lip. Arthur Weasley stood there with a black eye.
Andromeda pulls Lily to her feet as Dora and Delphi pull Harry to his feet.
"Have you no shame!" snaps Andromeda.
"You pick a fight and endanger children!"
The crowd begins to mutter at the behavior of Arthur Weasley.
Harry stands holding his leg. The sheer weight of Lucius and Arthur causes him to limp standing.
Arthur flushes a red one upon realizing that both Lily and Harry got caught by his actions.
"We'll take our shopping elsewhere. Good day," says Andromeda.
With that said, they usher their children by their side and walk off. Olivia Potter walks beside them, desperate to get away from her brother.
The Daily Prophet was going to have a field day.
Once their shopping finished, Lily took them to her restaurant.
"Seems my investment is money well spent," says Lucius.
"This is a family investment," says Nacrissa.
"I know, dear. Still, I do like to see a good business," says Lucius.
Nacrissa smiles as she shakes her head.
Draco sits with his cousins and Harry. Olivia sits next to them, feeling out of place.
This is a place she's never set foot in, as the food is fabulous.
"How do you think people will react to you supporting the mudblood term, mom?" asks Harry.
"I stand by what I said. Hogwarts should be teaching children wizard customs and traditions," says Lily.
"Even so, it would be good to clear the matter. I shall speak to the press and to Dumbledore," says Lucius.
"That would be a splendid idea," says Nacrissa.
"Still Lockhart for a year! I'm going to have nightmares," says Delphi.
Everyone silently agrees with her.
