Kayla was at home and called Mike. When he saw her name, he smiles and then answers his phone.
"Hey honey," she said sounding angry and he picks up on her angry
"What happened baby?"
"My dad doesn't want me to be a part of the family and company anymore if I continue to see you."
'What?"
"I was in the foyer of my parents talking with my mom and Stephanie when he comes up and began to question me and then I told him I was seeing you."
"And what did he say?"
"He's started screaming and yelling at me. If I went against him I'd be out of the family, company, and be sorry too."
"Oh baby I am sorry"
"You have nothing to be sorry for Mike. Since my teenage years, I tried to please him and make him proud of me, but it just never worked. Nothing I ever did was good enough for him." She sniffles, and Mike hates this being across the ocean away from her right now.
"Are you okay baby"
"Yea I am okay. My mom loved me and everything I choice that made, but you think my dad could be proud of me even for a damn second of his life. Hell no, it would mean he handsome kind of love for his kids and the choices they had made. But nope."
"Listen; to me, if you want us to stop, seeing each other, we can do that"
"No Mike. Wouldn't it bother you just a little?"
"Yes, of course, it would but family should be so much more important than anything else. If I had to give you up for your family, it would be the hardest thing, I would have ever had to do but I would do it because you're worth it."
"Well, that's not going to happen, you're the first guy in a long time who make me happy."
"Are you sure about this?"
"I don't want to worry about anything in my life right now. I want to happy with you."
"Me too"
Back at the McMahon house, Stephanie, Linda, and Vince were standing there.
"I don't get it, why can't Kayla be happy with a wrestler from the company."
"He is not good enough for her."
"I have something to you say dad"
Vince looks at her and says, "What?"
"Dad" She couldn't keep her composure. "Dad, I think what you're doing to Kayla is rotten. I think it stinks! Here I am in love and married to wrestler you don't have a problem with that, I'm happy as I've ever been date any guy. Now Kayla is possibly in love and so happy. And yes, it's with a wrestler from the company who gives a shit though. You can't even see past the end of your Nose and see how happy she is" She calmed down.
"And I am not sorry but how can you expect John and Me but not expect Mike and Kayla being in love."
"Mom, I'll call you later," she said walking out of the same door that her sister walked out.
"Now sweetheart, let's not fight over Kayla and me having a small disagreement and remember she choose to walk out on this family and company."
"You didn't give her a choice Vince. What the hell were you thinking huh? She is our daughter the daughter we almost lost twenty-seven years. She is in love; matters of the heart should never be compromised. You of all people don't have room to judge who your daughters fall in love with. My father wasn't too pleased with the choice that I made for my husband and father for my children. You know all the hell we through when we were dating and then engaged because my father did not like you and then I swore to the god as my witness I would never put my children through that same heartbreaking ordeal, Vincent."
He swallowed hard and says, "Kayla, our little girl is dating a guy who makes Trent look like a saint"
"No, Trent was an asshole to our daughter. Mike Mizanin is not an asshole. He is a nice gentleman to her."
Linda walks out of the house next leaving him standing there.
