Chapter 16 X The Magic Spell

"Kagome!" the door of the Student Council room slammed open, revealing Kouga with a toothy grin.

"Kouga-kun…?" Kagome greeted, it was just her, finishing her work as the other members went back home. Next to her stood Takumi, casually leaning against the table next to her, overseeing her every move.

They both saw Kouga glare at the sight of the other male, but he quickly shifted his attention back to Kagome. "Let's go on a date!"

"D-Date?" Kagome repeated, stunned at his bold statement. "Yeah!" The wolf gave her a toothy grin. "That bastard of a mutt, Sesshoumaru, told me about this café called Maid Latte. He said I would enjoy myself if I visit. So, I thought I'll go with you!"

"I refuse." Kagome spoke with an unwavering will. "Eh?" the miko could see ears flopping down and a tail hang low in disappointment. "I though girls would like places like that…"

"Onegai…"

"I can't believe I'm doing this." Kagome muttered to herself as she stood in front of the infamous café. "Oh, come on! It'll be fun." Kouga laughed from besides her, but it quickly turned to a frown as his blue eyes glared at their uninvited companion.

"I just don't get why he's here. It's supposed to be a date"

Takumi and Kouga held a face off, neither of them breaking eye contact. Their bickering only seeming never ending.

"Never mind that, let's just get this over with." The girl said with a sigh.

The small group entered; Kagome could already see some of her coworkers give her an odd look as she desperately tried to bring the message across.

'No matter what, please keep me working here a secret.' She pleaded in silence. It seems like the other girls got the message.

"Welcome Master." Erika greeted with her professional smile, escorting the teens to their table. "Please feel free to call us if there's anything you need!"

While Kouga was distracted with the menu, Kagome turned to the older woman and mouthed a thank you. Erika winked in return before leaving the trio.

Kagome's eyes looked around, scanning the store. 'Thank the Kamis that there aren't any regulars today.'

She shifted to the man sitting opposite on her. 'Takumi is the only one here who knows my secret. It'll be fine as long as he keeps quiet about it and if we leave before my shift starts.'

"Say, Kagome." Kouga scooted closer to her, showing the menu. "Do you think they have steak? I don't see it here."

The sudden closeness of his face made Kagome blush a bit. "I… I don't think it's available…" she muttered out.

Within an instead, Kouga's face got pushed away by a very stoic looking Takumi. But Kagome could see a thick mark on his forehead. "You're too close." The blonde complained, easily holding Kouga away from her.

"Uruse!" The wolf bit back. "Anyway, why are you always with my woman?!"

"She's not your woman."

With the quick denial from the other male, the conversation ended, and all eyes was on them. "This is not a place for you two to fool around!" Kagome scolded.

A moment of silence passed before Kouga began to chuckle. "You've truly haven't change, Kagome." His voice was soft, his smile nostalgic.

Kagome's gaze softened and lowered to the ground. A smile on her face as the old memories flooded her mind. "Neither did you. But I suppose you can run as much as you used to." The girl couldn't help but giggle.

"Always running around, in search for Naraku…" She mumbled to herself.

"Speak for yourself." Kouga scoffed lightly with a smile. "Always putting yourself in danger for the sake of others. That mutt could barely protect you at times."

"Always working hard and trying your best." Kouga's hand went to hers and held it tight, much like he did in the past. "You've changed the lives of everyone who came across you and saved our world. For that I can never thank you enough."

A blush came on the miko's face as she searched for the words. Back in the feudal era, Kagome couldn't find it in herself to take the wolf demon's words serious. 'But since we've met again, I can't help but feel conscious of his words'

"Kouga-kun… I-"

*Tap*

Kagome took her hand back and looked under the table where she felt someone nudge her foot. It was Takumi.

"Ah, sorry." Takumi said with a slight grin, stopping the conversation of the past. "Don't mind me."

'What's this strange pressure I'm feeling?'

"Kagome?"

The girl snapped her head back to Kouga, her face redder than before. "Oh, yeah! We've changed. And now you're a teacher!" Her words came out rambling, proving her flustered state.

It seemed like Kouga didn't notice the subtle interaction between the two teens and kept going. "I had to take a break from my own company, it was the only way I could be closer to you." He said with a confident smirk on his face. "By the way, I heard from the mutt brat that you were working part-time."

'Damn you Sesshoumaru-sama, Kanrei-kun for putting me in this mess!' Kagome screamed on the inside but kept holding a smile. "I-It's just a normal part-time job."

"A normal job?" the youkai couldn't clearly understand what that meant. Most lesser demons escaped to the Makai, while the stronger ones remained. A normal job for them meant owning a business entreprise.

"What kind of normal job?" He asked instead. "Uh, yeah, something related to food." Kagome answered vaguely.

'Related to food…' Kouga pondered, it reminded him of something that Ginta and Hakkaku told him. "So, something like a waitress? I wanna see!" He could already imagine her walking around in a cute uniform.

"T-There's nothing special about it to show you!" The girl retorted. "Huh? Why?" Kouga tilted his head in question, much like a canine would. "I can imagine this kid being curious about it as well."

His arm swung over Takumi's neck, Kouga pulled him closer and locked him in place. Suddenly blue eyes widen before narrowing with suspicious. "Don't tell me that he's already seen it?" Kouga glared at the boy.

'Crap!' Kagome cursed inside. 'If Takumi chooses to tell him, I'm screwed. I won't hear the end of it. Even though all of this is the stupid parent and son. Please lie to him!'

Blue eyes clashed with each other and Kagome lost her breath. 'No… this is not how I am… This is not me…' She silently stood up. Her eyes casted downwards, desperately trying to avoid looking at Kouga's ignorant eyes.

"Gomennasai, she whispered to them. "I need to go somewhere." With that she left the store, leaving the two guys on their own. "So, he's someone she doesn't want to lie to, huh…" Takumi muttered to himself.

"What's up with her?" Kouga questioned as he sat dejected in his seat. "She used to smile more back then…" he spoke softly. "You know… I was involved in a massacre, and lost my whole clan, my family."

Takumi's eyes widen, he didn't expect the teacher to open up to him, let alone talk about his painful past. But the blonde continued to listen.

"There was a time that I wandered around, searching for the one that killed my kin. Kagome and her friends were also looking for him. There were many times she almost lost her lives, because one stupid mutt couldn't protect her properly." Kouga narrowed his eyes to the ground.

Kouga clenched his fist, feeling the anger rise up in him. "I cannot count the times I wanted to take her away from him, but…" He released his fist and Takumi could see a bit of bloods stain his nails.

"She loved him."

Takumi also lowered his gaze; he knew exactly who his rival was talking about. Inuyasha.

"I'm not planning on backing down this time. From the moment she showed me her strengths and loyalty, I fell in love." Kouga's voice was strong as he made eye contact with Takumi. Both their eyes unwavering for the source of their affection.

"Is that a declaration of war from you?" Takumi held his stoic face as he asked the question. But the demon saw right through him and gave a smirk.

"That's if you feel the same about her as I do."

Kagome stared in the mirror of the staff restroom. 'Asking him to lie to Kouga-kun, just to protect myself…' She couldn't believe herself. 'I cannot ignore my past, it's a part of me!'

"Yosh!" She motivated herself. At that moment Satsuki walked in. "Ara." She exclaimed, surprise to see the girl. "I thought your shift would start later, after your friend left."

"Manager…" Kagome gave a soft smile. "I've decided to not lie to myself anymore, or anyone important to me for that matter."

She could see the older woman smile at the bravery of her part-timer. "You've made a good choice, Kago-chan. The people that are important to you should be treasured and deserve to know the truth."

Kagome received a pat on her head, before the manager saw her off to face her fears.

She opened the curtains that separated the back with the store and saw Kouga sitting alone annoyed.

"Master." Her voice was soft, and her words were gentle. "I've brought your meal." She placed the food in front of the demon who turned around at the sound of. She had been hiding her presence, so he didn't notice her before.

"Ka… gome?" There was a clear blush on his face at the sight of the woman he loved. "I'm Kago-chan." The girl bowed in greeting. "You're Kagome… right?" The wolf questioned, unsure of the girl before him.

He watched as she leaned over and placed a finger in front of lip, telling him to keep this a secret. However, her beauty seemed to distract him from paying attention.

He always saw Kagome in his school uniform and never in anything else. But the way the maid clothing fits her body, she was just stunning. Adorable.

"This is where you were working part-time?! Why didn't you tell me?!" He exclaimed shocked. 'I got totally played by that father and son.'

"I thought Ginta and Hakkaku did." The girl smiled apologetic as she tried to calm down the man that now had stood up.

"They knew?!" Kouga exclaimed even louder, clasping her hands in his.

But it didn't take long before someone slapped his hand away and pulled Kagome closer. "Would you please refrain from touching our maids?" The voice asked smoothly.

"T-Teme!" Kouga pointed an accusing finger at him, surprised to see him in a butler uniform. "You work here too?"

"Iie, uh, Takumi works here from time to time…" Kagome sweat-dropped with a sheepish smile. It wasn't a lie after all.

"It looks good on you!" Kouga suddenly started to compliment her. "You look really cute in that! As expected of my woman!" One again, the miko's hands got clasped by the demon, something he did many times in the past.

"Ahaha…" Kagome laugh it off, until someone else snatched her away. She could feel her back collide with a broad chest, and arm holding by the waist.

"I told you just now." She heard Takumi's cool voice speak. "If you lay your hands on her again… I'll tear your throat out."

They watched as Kouga's face distorted into a wicked grin, youki leaking through his suppression. "Oh… I like to see you try."

"Could you two please sit down? You're attracting attention…"

"Is last month's financial report done?" Misaki questioned, looking over the student council room. Their meeting was almost done, but Kagome already felt tired, especially after everything that happened yesterday.

"Also, confirm the location for the next major cleanup." Kagome added, looking at her notes. But then a shiver went down her spine as she snapped her head to the door.

It slammed open and revealed their new history teacher. "Kagome!" Heads turned and watched as the older male went over to their classmate.

"What business do you have here, Ookami-sensei?" Misaki asked, annoyed with the obvious affection the teacher had for his student, but heeding the respect he deserved.

"I'm done with my classes, so I was going to take Kagome on a date." He replied cheerfully. "That's highly inappropriate." The student council president shut down the idea.

As the teacher was about to retort, he noticed a familiar blonde in the corner. "Ah! Why the hell is he here?!"

The two locked eyes, the spirits of a wolf and a fox could be seen. "Cut it out you two." Kagome sighed along with Misaki.

"How many times do I have to tell you?!" Misaki turned to Takumi. "The Student Council is not a place to mess around!"

"But it's relaxing here…" Takumi whined back at the female president.

"Both of you… GET OUT!" With a kick to their butt, the two outsiders were thrown outside. "The student council room is not a place for fun!"

"Ahaha…" Kagome sweat-dropped. "Truly, Kagome-chan." Misaki sighed as she turned to her friend. "What the deal with you and those two?"

"Eh? Nothing! Really!" Kagome waved her hands in denial. The other members had already proceeded to leave the room and work on their own assignments.

"Takumi is just messing with me and Kouga-kun is a just childhood friend." The miko laughed it off, but Misaki wasn't buying it. "Shouldn't you be more thoughtful of their feelings?" She questioned.

"They seem to be pretty serious about you. Why not give them a chance?" The words of her friend made Kagome cast her eyes down.

"I… I love Kouga-kun, but… not like that." She confessed. Misaki gave her a strange look. "What about Usui Takumi?" She then asked.

"Takumi?" Blue's eyes looked up. "Ah… well…" She stuttered, unable to find the right words to express her emotions. "I have a feeling that… The me right now is not worthy." She spoke vaguely.

"I once told someone that I would always be by their side. But couldn't keep that promise and that person passed away." Kagome felt Misaki sit down next to her and place a caring hand on her shoulder.

"I owe to Takumi to be honest and make sure what my feelings are for him. I don't want to use him."

After Misaki and Kagome had taken the whole afternoon to talk, Kagome made her way to her job. Time flew by quickly and night came. She was just about to head home when Satsuki stopped in her tracks.

"An anime-cosplay event?" Kagome looked at the flyer handed to her. "Yeah!" The manager gave an enthusiastic nod. "The producers gave us permission to do it after seeing out pictures!"

"Especially you!" She pointed at the young adult. "You're just perfect for Rose!"

"Magical Maids…" Kagome mumbled to herself, it seemed Aoi had heard her. "You haven't watched it yet? It's airing on Sunday mornings." He explained, as usual he was dressed in lolita clothing.

"There's no one else that can play Mimosa but me!" He claimed. "You don't need to!" Satsuki quickly interfered. "Anyway, take this!" She shoved a bag to the high schooler.

"I'll lend you these DVDs, so try to get into the role of your character. It's the 4th season already. There's about 40 volumes in this season alone." She said with an innocent smile on her face.

"Eh?!" Kagome's eyes went wide at the information. "You don't need to watch them all." Erika eased her worries. "Just watch episode 1… And episode 12 and 13."

"Also," Aoi jumped in. "This volume's pretty popular as well, so I recommend this!"

Suddenly Satsuki came closer to Kagome and inched their faces together. "That aside, what happened after Kouga-kun found out about your secret? Did Takumi become jealous?!"

Kagome could see it in her eyes, a pure form of determination. Although she didn't want to admit it, seeing the curiosity in Satsuki's face scared her.

"Welcome back, masters. Get ready to be melted away by today's Latte Magic!"

As the doors opened, the customers got revealed to Kagome cosplaying one of the Magical Maids; Rose.

"Oh, no!" Subaru jumped in, also wearing the clothes of one of the characters. "Master's been cursed with black magic!"

"This is where Kago… Iie, Rose shows up!" Erika posed as she said her line.

"Let's go, Lily!" Kagome twirled around, completely immersed in her role. "Got it!" Honoka came to stand next to her.

"Kariron Popuron Instant Cure!" they both chanted, waving around their animatronic stick. "With this, you'll be fine!" Kagome smiled to her guests. "Take your time and enjoy!" Honoka added.

With that they left the table of the three idiots. They walked back to the staff room to get the drinks, ignoring the shouts of bliss coming from the boys.

But when they entered, they saw Aoi, dressed as Mimosa, yelling at Erika. "That error you made when calling her name is unforgivable! Do you know that?!"

Erika nodded with a sweat drop, hoping the scolding would end soon. "We're going to make today's event a complete success!" The child suddenly turned to his aunt that was preparing drinks behind them.

"Satsuki-san, I'm just perfect for Mimosa's character, aren't I?" He praised himself, not mining the Erika that took that chance to escape.

"No." Satsuki responded. "You're a boy in middle school Aoi-kun. I won't let you go out to the floor."

"Even when I'm this suitable for the role?" the boy continued to praise himself until Kagome decided to interrupt. "An extra order of Witch Parfait onegai!"

"No-nam-cha-ruru-tte!" Aoi suddenly exclaimed, catching Kagome off guard.

"Mam-pu-kan!" they watched as her expression turned to confusion. "Why the diet spell? Though I answered you instinctively…"

"You even remembered the core spells that are never really used? You didn't even know anything about this before…" He said.

"I watched all of the DVDs." Kagome smiled sheepishly. "It took a lot of time, though. I spent all of last night finishing them up."

A sweat drop went down both their faces at the ridiculousness of the girl, they would've stayed like that if it wasn't for Honoka coming in. "Oi, Usui-kun is here as a customer."

"Eh?" Kagome walked up to the doorframe that separated the staffroom from the store.

"I thought he was already a part of the staff…" Aoi whispered from behind her. "What are you gonna do?" a teasing smirk came on his face. "Are you gonna do the magic girl routine in front of him?"

But he didn't receive the answer he expected, he watched Kagome walk up to her friend with an unreadable expression on her face.

"Welcome, back, Master." She bowed once she stood in front of Takumi. Kagome took a peek at his face from beneath her witch hat.

He greeted her with a dazzling smile, causing her cheeks to flush red. He watched full amusement as she did the official greeting.

"Melt away with Latte Magic today!"

"He seems different today…" Aoi spoke to himself as he kept watching the interaction between Kagome and Takumi. "Normally, he would have replied smugly…"

"So, he really is bothered by Kouga-kun…" Satsuki came to stand next to him. They quietly kept on watching as the maids served more people. Finally, Satsuki decided to approach Takumi who just finished his parfait.

"How was today's special, the Magical Miracle Parfait?" She asked him. "I enjoyed it. It was miraculous." He joked causing the manager to give a difficult smile.

"Do you really mean that?" She asked. "The girls in the kitchen wanted to hear your opinion."

"Use a pointed spoon when putting the quenelles on top." He began to instruct. "For this parfait, the frills around the rose decoration was nicely done."

"However, I think the sponge cake inside should be a little firmer. I'm sure they'll get better with some practice." He gave her a kind smile.

"Quene- Pointed spoon, right?" Satsuki tried to repeat what had just told her. "That's quite a lot of opinions you have there…"

"Shall I write them down on a memo?" He proposed. The manager then got him a pen and paper and watched him write down directions.

"Really, just who are you, Usui-kun?" Satsuki wondered out loud. "You're not just another ordinary guy, that I know."

She watched a smirk come to his face. "I'll take that as a compliment. A certain someone has been calling me this, so just think of me as another hentai kitsune."

Suddenly the door slammed open, customers turned their heads and saw a tall tanned male with black hair and striking blue eyes. Kouga.

"Kagome! I'm here for our date!" he openly declared not minding the three glares he received.

"Ookami-sensei!" Sarashina grunted out.

"Why are you here?!" Shirokawa whined.

"Rather, you knew about Kago-chan working here?!" Kurosaki cursed.

"Oh, you guys are here to see Kagome as well?" Kouga noted their existence with a laidback attitude.

"You're wrong!" Kurosaki suddenly shouted.

"It's not Kagome, but Kago-chan!" Sarashina added.

"That's the law here in Maid Latte!" Shirokawa yelled.

The wolf demon decided to ignore the three fools and focus his attention instead on the fox that sat in the corner. "You're here too, huh?" He glared.

Sparks seemed to fly the moment they made eye-contact, and even Satsuki could feel the presence of canines hovering over her. "You two, calm down!" She tried to ease the situation.

"Oh yeah!" she pulled her Magical Maid Staff and swung it around. "Time to use the patch-up spell! Ukinpa, Wakunpa, Let's be friends!" But the tension seemed to only grow ticker.

"Sorry for the wait!" All the attention went to the young lady that stood in front of the table of the idiot trio, in her hands a plate with three drinks.

"It's the Magical Russian Roulette!" Kagome announced with a bright smile. "Okay, one of these contains a magical juice. The one who drinks it has to put on a straight face, and I gave to guess who drank it." She explained.

She placed the drinks on the table and continued. "If you beat me, you can choose either a specially-made coaster, or a commemoration photo-"

"The photo, of course!" The yelled in unison. Kagome smiled and nodded. "Okay, I got it. I'll cast a spell right now. Don't hold back on me, 'kay?"

"Wait, what kind of spell?" Shirokawa inquired, his hearth fluttered as Kagome gave him a wink. "A spell that renders you incapable of lying~ Dorinpa Dorupa! Now you can't lie!"

She observed the boys gulping down the drinks and watched as Kurosaki instantly broke down. The other two couldn't hide their look of panic seeing that their friend was down.

"The one who drank the magical juice is Kurosaki-sama!" Kagome smiled "Innocently".

"Never mind that, give me some water…!" The boy begged as all strength left his body. The two remaining friends quickly scooped him up, payed the bill and left.

"Have a safe journey, masters!" Kagome and Honoka bowed as they saw them off.

"Ooh!" Kouga held a childlike grin on his face after witnessing the challenge. "That looks interesting! I wanna try it, too!"

"What spell would you like, master?" Kagome asked him as she guided him to his own table. "How about…" A mischievous smirk came to his face while he glanced at Takumi. "a spell to beat my rival?"

"It's pointless to beat me by magic." Takumi retorted with his own smirk. "He's got a point!" Satsuki intervened before a round two could start. "You gotta win it by yourself!"

Takumi quietly stood up and walked over to the manager. "Thanks for the meal." Emerald eyes turned to the girl who had looked away. "What's wrong?" He asked with a knowing smile.

"Iie…" Kagome tried to look him in the eyes but failed. "Have a safe trip, Master." She bowed to avoid any more embarrassment. She stood silent until Takumi left the doors.

"Kagome." Kouga called. "I've got a spell I'd like you to cast on me. A love spell."

Kagome's eyes lightly surprised at the request. But a helpless smile quickly came on her face. "I'll cast it, then. Derunpa Deronpa! May you find love!"

Evening had come and the store came to a close. They were almost done closing up before they could change and take their leave.

"Aoi-chan seems moody." Erika noted, anxiously watching the young boy sulk on a chair. "He's pouting about not being to get out to the floor." Satsuki answered, her eyes still glued on her task at hand.

"I helped you with the outfits!" They heard him complain. "I even helped you with the acting! I looked so cute as Mimosa, too!"

"You just butted in forcefully." His aunt corrected. "I wanted to show off on the floor!" Aoi raised his voice instead.

"Enough of that!" Satsuki yelled back. "Anyway, why are you alone here on a holiday? Go make some friends to play with! This place is not a playground."

"Why do I have to be lectured by you?!" Aoi squealed louder. "Besides I have a friend! Souta-kun! Besides, I'm not the only one who's alone!" Usui-kun is alone all the time! I'm sure he doesn't have any friends at all!"

"Eh?" Kagome had just walked in and was surprised to hear the statement. "Don't say that!" The Satsuki retorted. "That's not true, right. Kago-chan?"

Her mind ran through the list of people she saw Takumi with once or twice. "Yukimura-kun, perhaps…? No, they're not friends. Maybe Kanrei-kun… but it doesn't look like they like each other…"

She didn't notice the other two sweat-drop at her rambling. "How about you? What are you to him?" Aoi cut in. His words made her eyes widen. She hadn't even considered herself.

"Ah, geez! Isn't that obvious enough?" Satsuki squeeled as she went off to her fantasy.

"Just friends?" Aoi kept asking.

Was she his friends? Where they more than that, or perhaps they were just acquaintances. It seemed like she means something to him, but perhaps he was messing with her all this time.

"Iie… it doesn't feel like that…" She answered with a soft voice.

"Rivals?" the crossdresser went on.

"I don't think we are…"

A heavy sigh left his lips. Aoi stood up and went to face Kagome. "Let me ask you this. What do you feel for him?"

'What do I feel for him…' The questioned kept ringing through her mind while her body worked. She carried the trash bag outside and looked to the sky.

With the appearance of a sudden aura, Kagome snapped her head to the side and saw Takumi leaning against the wall, waiting for her. "W-W-Why are you here?!" Her words came out barely a sentence.

"Is that wrong?" He asked with a teasing tone. "Hai!" Kagome replied with a huff, turning away from him. "It's suspicious to hang out around here at this hour!"

"You'd be taken as a hentai! What are you thinking, baka?!" Her rambling seemed never ending and even she herself had no clue what she was doing. But a fit of chuckles pulled her back.

"What's so funny?" She asked, her eyebrows narrowed and a light dust of blush on her cheeks. "It's funny to see magical girl taking out the trash. Isn't there a spell for that?" The boy looked at her.

He raised his finger and started to wave it around. "Try casting another spell, like just now!"

Kagome's face turned redder as she looked away, all the embarrassment of this noon's actions came back to her. "Your face is really red, Kagome."

"Shut up!" Kagome quickly walked past him to put the trash bag in its place. She took a deep breath, inhaling the cold air. "Tonight's rather cold…" She noted.

"Don't you feel cold?" Kagome asked, turning her head to face Takumi. Her blush now hidden by the dark. "You should wear a coat if you're going to be out this late."

"You sure like to worry about others, huh?" he smirked as she showed him an irked expression. "Is that wrong?"

He let out a light sigh. "I planned to walk home just like this, but I felt like seeing you."

"Don't you have friends…?" She asked. "Do I look that solitary to you?" Takumi replied with a smirk. Once again, her face went red. "Don't tell me you heard what we said just now-"

She turned around her body, but before her stood Takumi. He was so close she could hear his breathing and almost feel his warmth.

"Speaking of that, I'm curious." Takumi began. "About that last question- I want to know the answer. Just what do you feel for me?"

"I… I…" Kagome stumbled across her words, unable to find even her voice to explain her emotions. Her eyes darted around, unconsciously searching for an escape.

She could feel her body backing up against the wall, and his arms trapping her. It was so familiar to her now. As if all answers were lost, she looked up at him.

Big eyes bordering on tears that had so much to say but couldn't find it within themselves to speak. He gave her a smile. "I'll show you what my feelings are, then."

His hand went to hers and pulled her closer. Takumi's arms encircling around her, holding her in a gentle embrace.

"T-Takumi…" Although she couldn't say it out loud it felt… nice. She definitely didn't hate being held like that, being held by him. However, that bliss was cut short as she came back to her senses.

"Takumi, you need to let go." She told him. "I need to go back to the others."

"Dorinpa Dorunpa." He suddenly began. "Now you can't lie."

She fell quiet.

"I want you to tell me the truth." She felt his arms tighten around her. As they stood so close to each other Kagome could feel his aura speaking to her.

Desperation, hope, afraid, happy, worried, affection.

"You're not even a magical girl…" She mumbled, her hands going around him and gripping his shirt, holding him closer. "How can you use spells?"
