Raw: Sept. 3, 2007
Candice and I sat in Catering together. I'm eating a salad while Candice was messing with her phone.
"So…" Candice says. "Good news for you, Randy isn't here tonight."
"He isn't?" I ask. "Damn, I wanted to ask him about what happened during Booker and Sharmell's dinner last week."
"What happened at the dinner?"
"The phone issue."
"Oh. Yeah."
"I still don't understand why he decided to take my phone from me."
"Well…it was the second time it went off, and it was Chris. Randy can't stand him."
"Yeah. I know."
"Speaking of Chris, have you…"
"No."
"Rissa…"
I sigh. "I know I need to talk to him."
"Yeah. Rissa, if you don't talk to him, what's the point of still dating him? It's been a week."
"I know."
"So?"
"I'll talk to him. Sharmell and I talked last week about him and Randy. She told me that I need to figure it out. She's right. I really need to."
"I agree."
"So you ready for Unforgiven?"
"Yeah. Why couldn't you have won the Battle Royal though?"
I shrug. "I tried."
Maria approaches me in the hall. "I need your help."
I look at Maria. "What's wrong?"
"I face Beth tonight."
"Oh dear. What are you worried about?"
"Everything."
"Maria," I put my hand on her shoulder. "Trust me. You'll be fine."
"Will I?"
"Yeah."
"Okay…if you say so."
"Maria, you'll be fine."
I go to walk away but I turn around to look at her. "Stop worrying about Beth."
"I will." Maria says. "Watch out!"
I turn back around just to almost run into a woman who also hadn't been paying attention.
"Oh my gosh." She says. "I'm sorry! I'm so stupid! Way to blow it on my first day here!"
"It's okay." I say. "I wasn't paying attention either."
Maria walks over. "You guys okay?"
I nod. "Yeah." I look at the woman. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." She says. "I'm just really nervous. It's my first night, and I just don't know."
Maria and I exchange a glance.
"Diva Search?" Maria asks.
"Yeah." The woman says. "Why?"
I smile. "Maria and I were in the same position you were around three years ago."
"Oh my gosh. I'm so stressed that I spaced on realizing who you two were. You're Marissa and Maria. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. What's your name?"
"Eve. Eve Torres."
"Well, nice to meet you, Eve. You doing good?"
"Not really. I can't even find Catering."
"Well that's where I'm going. I'll walk you there."
"Really? Thank you so much, Marissa."
"No problem. See you later, Maria. Good luck against Beth."
"Thanks, Marissa." Maria says. "Nice meeting you, Eve."
"Nice meeting you too, Maria." Eve says.
I sit in Catering with Eve. "So have you met any other of the Diva Search contestants?"
"Not yet." She says. "I'm a little nervous about that."
"I was too, but you know I met my best friend in my Diva Search. You might be fine. Speaking of my best friend, there she is. Chelle, come here!"
"What's up?" Chelle says, as she sits with Eve and me.
"Chelle, this is Eve. She's in the Diva Search."
"Nice to meet you, Eve. I'm Michelle McCool. Good luck with the Diva Search."
"Thank you. I'm pretty nervous." Eve says.
"You'll be fine. Once you get used to being around here, it's not bad at all."
"That's nice to know."
"Yeah. Marissa, you remember our Diva Search?"
"I remember it too much."
"Me too."
The three of us watch as Maria quickly loses to Beth.
"Damn." I say. "Beth needs to be taken down."
I sat in my bed in the hotel room while Candice crashed with Torrie tonight. I had a lot to get off my mind and I don't know how to figure it out. Suddenly, I hear a knock on the door. I slowly open the door.
It's Chris.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I ask him.
"Well, nice to see you too, Rissa." Chris says. "Guess I'm not allowed to come see my girlfriend."
"We haven't talked for over a week."
"I know. But that's not because of a lack of effort on my part."
I sigh. "I know. Come in."
Chris walks in and closes the door behind us. "No Candice tonight?"
"No, she's with Torrie. How'd you know what room I was in?"
"Michelle and John."
"Oh. I should've known."
"Yeah. How's things going?"
"Good. What about you?"
"Good. Except I haven't talked to you in over a week."
"Oh."
"I missed you. And I'm sorry."
"You're sorry?"
"Yes, I'm sorry."
"Okay."
"I shouldn't have been so pissed about you and Orton. I know you haven't been having the easiest time dealing with him. And I understand that you want to potentially be friends with him again, but I don't like the idea because he hurt you. I just don't want you to get hurt again. Plus, we both know he isn't happy with our relationship."
"I know." I say as I change into pajamas. "But this relationship is between us, and Randy doesn't have the right to be concerned about it at all. Don't worry. I told him that too. This is about me and you."
Chris smiles. "Damn right."
I smile as Chris kissed my cheek. "This is nice."
"Yeah. I'm returning in November."
"You are?"
"Yeah. Then, we can have all kinds of fun."
"Who says we can't have fun right now?"
Chris smirks. "I see your point, beautiful."
I kiss him. "You should, Chris."
"I missed you."
"I missed you too."
"I wish we'd stop fighting."
"Me too."
"Let's work on things."
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you too."
"You know how much fun we'll have once you're back on the road."
"A shit ton."
"Absolutely. We can train together like we did while I was injured."
"I would absolutely love that."
"Me too."
"We could also work on improving our movesets."
I laugh. "You're Chris freaking Jericho. Your moveset is fine. I could use some improvement though."
"Well, let's get to it. I'll return and we'll both be damn good wrestlers."
I smile. "Okay."
