Chapter 50

When Mal looked away from her phone after trying to call Ben for the twelfth time she jumped, not expecting Harry Hook to be so close to her, staring at her.

"Startling, aren't I?" he asked with a smirk, "Though some would say striking."

She quickly regained her composure and crossed her arms, "You know, Celia told me about that whole 'poison apple' situation you got yourself into." She looked him up and down, "You couldn't have survived that."

"Well you should know by now the one thing I excel at is surviving." He said with a smirk. They stared each other down for another moment before Mal scoffed, rolled her eyes and stormed off. Harry watched her go before turning his attention to Camilla who was walking with her brother. The two looked very deep in a moment and as much as he resented the younger boy he also didn't dare interrupt, knowing his villainess true love was more then capable of making him pay for such sabotage. So he continued on with Uma and Gil and let the siblings work out what they had to.

When Camilla laid eyes on Auradon Prep again she couldn't help but roll her eyes and sneer. Every memory she had of this place was terrible, the only up side now was that everyone was sprawled out fast asleep in chairs and on the lawn and instead of feeling alone in this place she now had her crew with her and more importantly, Harry by her side. If who was still left awake did mess with her she looked forward to watching her true love take pleasure in hooking them.

"They're asleep. Everyone." Evie said pointing out the obvious.

"I can't get Ben." Mal said trying her phone again.

"Or Dizzy or Doug." Evie said checking her mobile.

"Or Jane." Carlos added, "The signal's out."

"Is that Auradon Prep?" Celia asked pointing at the school.

"Yeah and when everyone wakes up you're going to love it." Carlos said.

"Or you won't." Camilla whispered as she passed them.

"Cami –" Carlos tried but she just raised a hand at him and passed by not wanting to get into all that right now.

"Everything is so. . . "She heard Gil say.

"Freaky." Jay said.

"Green." Gil corrected looking around in awe, "You have leaves on your trees. And what are those colored things in the bushes?"

"Uh, flowers?"

"Flowers are pretty." Gil said before something on a nearby table caught his eye, "Cantaloupe!" he exclaimed grabbing the bowl from the table and digging in. Jay tried to stop him but it was too late and Uma stepped in.

"We don't have any fresh fruit on the Isle remember?" she told Jay.

"We don't have fresh anything." Camilla added walking over to her captain and saw Jay let the matter go as he patted Gil on the shoulder.

"They're grapes."

"Grapes." Gil said chewing, "I love grapes."

Camilla smiled at Gil's innocence before she shook her head and caught a glimpse of Harry taking someone's wallet.

"I believe I deserve some. . . compensation for my muscles. . . my wile, and my role in this endeavor." He said giving a small bow and he took the money from the wallet. Then Jay walked over and snatched it from him.

"You do. Me not squashing you like a bug." He threatened and Camilla stepped closer knowing Harry didn't need her backup but was willing to offer it all the same. Harry chuckled and turned on his heel grabbing his hook from the table before getting the sharp tip dangerously close to Jay's face.

"Think I'm scared of you Jay?" he asked.

"Guys."

"Guys." Mal and Uma both called stopping a fight before it could begin. Harry still glared at Jay as he tossed the wallet on the table and Gil came up behind him and brought his hand to Harry's shoulder.

"Take what you can. . . " he began a common rule in the pirate code.

Harry smirked and turned to him, "Give nothing back." He finished as they fist bumped.

"Dude!" Carlos said happily and Camilla saw him walk over to the mutt who was stealing a cookie from some sleeping person's hand.

"Mmm delicious." The dog said before belching.

"Dude really?" Carlos asked.

"What? It wasn't me I swear! Okay, it was me."

"Great it still talks." Camilla said under her breath and Harry came up beside her and draped his arm over her shoulders.

"Hey do you know what happened here?" Carlos asked.

"Yep, Audrey showed up. Put everyone to sleep and then she turned some of them to –"

"Guys." Evie called and they turned to see her by a statue, "Hannah turned to stone."

"Alright, everybody stay on their toes." Jay said cautiously.

"Look since we're here let's check the school." Uma said and the pirates and Celia turned to head inside.

"No." Mal said stopping all of them as Uma turned to glare at her, "Audrey went straight for the crown so I think it's safe to assume she's going to go for Ben and his castle next. That's where we'll go."

"Says who?" Uma asked.

"Says me." Mal said stepping forward as the two faced off.

"Says you and that's supposed to mean something to me?" Uma asked.

"Guys." Evie called and they turned to her.

"To the castle." Mal said and walked off, Uma rolled her eyes and they followed her. As Camilla walked she made her way closer to Uma who was singing something under her breath only half paying attention to Mal and her worrying for her fiancée.

"They weren't kidding when they called me a witch. . ." she whispered before humming the tune, ". . . They come flocking to my cauldron crying revenge Uma please. . ." then she stopped her quiet song as they passed more sleeping Auradon students and she scoffed with a smile before Harry tipped one out of their chair making the sleeping student fall to the ground and Uma chuckled, "Poor unfortunate souls."

- -ROTTEN TO THE CORE - -

Camilla had never been to Ben's castle before, it was nice, though not her type. Mal kept calling for Ben through the halls but got no answer.

"Ben could be asleep anywhere." She said losing hope.

"Or turned to stone." Celia added making Evie cover her mouth.

"Ben!" Mal called again.

"I got his scent, very pungent cologne, easy to track, follow me people." Dude said leading the way.

"That's great Dude." Carlos said.

"FYI I give great cuddles too."

"Really?" Gil asked as they followed down the hall. "I never had a pet growing up, well except for the elk head in dad's man cave but that wasn't really –"

"Hold up." Uma called getting their attention as she pointed to a picture frame which had been slashed in two at the bottom. "What's this?"

"Uhh." Carlos began nervously going to see the frame closer himself, "Any chance this was already there?" he asked before Mal sighed and started calling for Ben again as they followed Dude down the halls.

"Ugh, my life has been reduced to following a talking mongrel." Camilla growled under her breath bringing up the back of the group. They followed the mutt to a room full of knights with an impressive stain glass ceiling. There where swords and shields mounted to the walls with different sigils and crests of the important royal families of Auradon. Camilla ran her hand along the wall looking at the designs thinking the logo's of the villains were much better and more stylish as Harry looked at a suit of armor to her left as he ran his fingers delicately along the sword in the knight's hands.

"I can feel you lurking." He muttered as Jay walked up behind him.

"Good." The son of Jafar said as if that should keep Harry on his best behavior.

"I bet you lost some sleep thinking about me on the loose huh?" Uma asked Mal as they all moved around the room.

"No, dragons don't really lose sleep." Mal replied, "I wonder what fried octopus tastes like. . . "

"Okay let's not do this." Evie said trying to keep the tension down.

"We're celebrating our differences." Uma said throwing her own words back at her just as there was a small clang and Camilla turned as Harry raised a hand toward Uma.

"I believe we're being challenged." He said eyeing the suit of armor in front of them.

"Sadly, I agree with the pirate." Carlos said and Camilla noticed his gaze was on the knight in front of them too.

"I'm winning you over I can feel it." Harry smirked making Carlos roll his eyes but Uma ignored her first mate.

"Let's split up and look for Audrey."

"That makes absolutely no sense." Mal replied, "Unless you give me my ember she's going to spell you."

"Girls!" Harry shouted as Camilla flinched seeing the knight in front of them move. "We have a situation here."

"You like a prince Mal?" they heard Audrey's voice coming from the helmet of the knight, "How about a knight in shining armor? Or knights?"

They all stepped back as the knight raised his sword and Harry grabbed Camilla forcefully and pushed her back behind him, his hands resting on her upper arms. Then the other knights in the room came to life too and they realized they were surrounded as they backed up to the pedestal in the room trying to keep eyes on their enemy from all sides.

"Watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, we can counter their attack hit 'em til the armor cracks." They all backed up, Harry keeping Camilla behind him as he held his hook – his only weapon- at the knights before they all ran for the door knowing they were outnumbered but the knights there crossed swords and stopped them.

"Things could get a little sticky." Uma said standing on the pedestal before pointing at the wall as Gil followed her command and grabbed the swords that were on display there as Harry did the same. Gil passed Uma a blade and Harry passed Camilla one both of them sticking together knowing how good a team they made.

"How to win this battle could be tricky. But I know the best way, fall back, let me lead. You hold the line and we'll bring them to their knees." She said telling Mal what to do.

"Swords in the air if you're with me!" Mal sang as Jay raised his sword and Carlos and Evie armed themselves. "They've got us outnumbered one to fifty. But victory is ours cuz I've got a strategy, you take the left and the rest of you can follow me."

As Uma pulled on Mal's arm about to tell her not to boss her around Mal raised her hand and beat her to the punch.

"This is my crew."

"But this is my squad."

"This is my turf."

"Oh my gosh." Evie said getting in the middle, "Look guys we've got bigger fish to fry put your differences aside cuz right now we're on the same side. Until the knight falls. Everyone."

"We'll stay together til the battle is done." They said readying their swords and Camilla took her stance with Harry before they clashed swords with the nearby knights. "Watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, we can counter their attack hit 'em til the armor cracks."

"Until the knight falls, we're aligned. It doesn't mean that we're on the same side."

"Watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, watch your back, hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast. They're too heavy to react." Harry said beside her while Carlos took her other side. Camilla was glad her hairstyle kept her locks out of her face when she saw Harry's dark hair falling in his eyes. He looked hot but she knew that didn't matter if it cost him his life.

"The situation's getting kinda heavy." Mal sang as she fought beside Uma, "Hold your weapons tight keep 'em steady. Cuz if we stick together we can make it out alive. I'll cause a distraction you attack them from the side." She said before putting her plan into action.

"All my soldiers stand at the ready." Uma said, "We can cut 'em up like confetti. We'll hit 'em from the front, you counter from behind, don't forget the fate of Auradon's on the line."

Camilla got a good shot on the knight she was fighting with, sending him back into the wall and needing a minute to recover. She turned to Harry who even fighting with his sword and hook looked like he was having trouble as two knights teamed up on him. He disarmed one as Camilla approached to help him, he saw her coming and held out his hand. She took it and he spun her into him making her back hit his chest, with Harry's tight grip around her waist she lifted both her legs and kicked the knight in the chest sending him to the floor sprawled out as Harry put her down before getting on the pedestal with the boys as she joined the girls.

"This is all out war, they've got outnumbered. The way the swords clash is the sound of the thunder."

"And we are not going under, we will never run for cover." Mal said.

"We battle for the victory and ride for each other!" they said raising their swords.

"Until the knight falls. Everyone." Camilla sang getting up on the pedestal with Evie.

"We'll stay together til the battle is done. Back to back, back to back, back to back, back to back, we can counter their attack, hit 'em til the armor cracks." They sang as more knights burst through the doors, Camilla ducked and dodged and swung until she was across the room. Carlos also quickly engaged the knights but just as quickly lost his sword. Celia then grabbed a shield from the wall and slid it over to him, he used it to slide along the floor to his sword but when he got there a boot came down on his weapon. He looked up nervously and saw Camilla looking down at him and she smiled. She picked up his sword as he got up taking his shield as she passed him his blade and the siblings now fought side by side.

"Until the knight falls, we're aligned, it doesn't mean that we're on the same side. Back to back, back to back, back to back, back to back, hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast they're too heavy to react."

"Suit of armor strong and true, make this metal bust a move." Mal said her eyes going green with her spell and suddenly the knights started to follow her every move. Then as the others started dancing the knights kept up with the beat and not the battle. The boys all got on the pedestals the knights had originally been on and fought them from the higher ground. Camilla got on the center pedestal as Celia joined in dancing, then the two jumped off and Camilla joined Evie.

"Until the knight falls, you can trust." Evie started then Camilla joined in with her as she spun her sword and the two shared a smirk as they said in sync. "I'm gonna help you win this battle because –"

"I got your back, got your back, got your back, got your back. All for one and that's a fact. Knights fall, pitch black."
