Amaya's water had broke, the liquid left a puddle where she must have slipped. Shichi frantically picks her up swiftly. He turned sideways down the narrow hall. His heart was racing at getting her to the hospital on time. With motility he flings up his foot against the metal door. His sandels scuffed against the brittle path kicking sand into a dust cloud. Halfway there, he stopped almost losing contact with the ground. Sweat beaded down Shichis face. The thought of him dropping her was the last thing they needed to worry about. Amaya breathing shallow, pulled her head closer to Shichi as if to whisper. She grabbed his hair yelling right through his ears, "Transportation! Transportation Shichi!" He nods his head and transports her to the hospital.
Nurses and doctors ripped Amaya out of Shichi's grasp into
the moving bed. They scuttled down the corridor, by standers jumping
out of the way. Shichi winched quietly as his black hair was still
interlaced between his mothers fingers. Amaya couldn't hear him over
the doctors conversing or her grunting. Luckily, not so for him,
while concentrating on a way to set his hair free he had tripped over
a bucket. He flew in the air thudding loudly on the ground. Shichi
hold his head cradling himself, warmth radiated down his skull and
spine. His head was stinging with a pins and needles.
"Shichi!" yelled a lady in a nearby room.
The voice sounded familiar from a while back at the ramen restaurant.
He couldn't pick the person out until she flung around the wall to
help him. "Are you okay? You must be hurt!"
Sitting up he makes contact with fragile blue eyes.
"Hey! Uh, yeah." he rubs his head holding his side.
"Sakura? Right?" she bobs her head. Sakura was surprised
that he remembered. Usually she's the one people forget. Pulling him
up she dusts him off. "My mom, her water broke." Sakura
jumps in glee smiling ear to ear clasping her hands together. "It's
easy for you to say. You weren't getting you hair pulled."
Shichi leaned back with a smug look. "Or were you?"
"What? Nonsense." She smacked his arm at his
perverted question. "No! I take my clients seriously and my job
as well." He winks at her in a 'got you' expression. Shichi left
for the closest waiting room. "Your mom should be 3 wings down.
I'll see you there later."
"You have an appointment just for me?"
Shichi looked over his shoulder. " You do take your job
seriously." Sakura started running toward him clenching her
fist. "CRAP!" he scrambled at the sight of her. "I
didn't mean it!!" he said not leaving any time for others to
move out of the way.
"Sakura! I need help with these bandages again."
She stopped as Sasuke's voice broke her out of rage. Going back to
help, Sakura collided into Kakashi coming out of the room. "What
a pervert." Kakashi shook his head and hands thinking Sasuke
thought he bumped into Sakura on purpose. "Not you, Shichi."
His eyes trailed off into thought. " Maybe I can meet my nephew
today?" Both Kakashi and Sakura's jaws hit the ground, Sakura
flabbergasted. Kakashi already knew through Itachi. That's why
he was perturbed about Sasuke meeting Amaya last time.
"Kakashi, keeping secrets from me again?"
Kakashi shook his head, " I'm just as surprised
as Sakura." Sakura still stood their in doubt, her mouth open is
distraught."Sakura, Why don't you help Sasuke." She treaded
to the window throwing the sack cloth curtains open. The light
spilled onto the white tiled floors. The light reflected of into
Sasuke's face. He flinched at the slightly lingering headache. Sakura
went over continuing her healing on Sasuke's arm.
"I want to see my nephew."
"I bet you do Sasuke, Its your brothers son after
all. Right now your health is important. You'll see him."
Groaning at Kakashi's response Sasuke flops down on the bed. It's
metal springs squeak with his weight. The thin sheet wraps around his
legs. Sasuke pushes them off feeling constricted.
"I'm
fine, I was only kicked and Sakura just finished healing my
arms."
"So..that's how you got here?" You
must have been distracted for it to knock you out." Sasuke
stayed quiet, its unlike him having been caught off guard. He
watched Sakura throw his blood stained gauze away. The black trash
can under the sink clinked shut. She wet a paper towel under
the faucet squeezing the excess water out. Turning the sink off she
cleans Sasuke's wound. Kakashi standing in the doorway. "I'm
leaving, don't forget the stiches Sakura."
Sasuke turns white as a ghost, Sakura winks at
Kakashi, knowing his motives. "Bye sensai. I wont." she
opens the drawer pulling out the needle and thread."Ready Sasuke
kun? It wont hurt a bit..." Kakashi listened intently walking
away, Sasuke was trying to get out of it. "Sasuke, hold
still! Ill poke your eyes out!" By the sound of Sasuke's voice
he didnt take that well..He was rather silent now.
