One Shot
Naruto failed the graduation exams. Again. He had no chance left to become a ninja and be acknowledged by Konoha.
Mizuki had tried to use him, but he quickly saw through the man's treachery. He didn't report him because he had no reason to help Konoha stop a traitor.
The blond kid left the village. The Hokage tried to convince him to stay, but Naruto told him he had owed them nothing and the village never had treated him with any kind of respect. He was even wronged by the teachers who decided of the exams and decided to fail him although he obviously could never do a stupid Bunshin while he was so talented in transformation. Everything was stacked up against him and sometimes in during his childhood, people had attacked him for no reason.
As he traveled away from Konoha, he started hearing a voice in his mind. A voice that also hated Konoha. He soon learnt the truth and Kurama's version of the events of the night he was born. It was completely different from what he had heard in the village. Kurama was a victim of a ninja from Konoha, an Uchiha, who had sent him destroy the village. Then, he had been sealed in the boy's belly, sentenced to loneliness in a prison of flesh that never agreed to this. Naruto had suggested the Fox to ally against their enemies in exchange for letting Kurama live through his body.
The Jinchuuriki merged with his Bijuu and after a painful night, they became one.

Naruto had wandered in the five Elemental Nations for three years, fighting shinobi with his Bijuu powers, learning how to materialize chakra into different forms. He had created his own abilities from the Fox's powers. He could release it from any part of his body, to reinforce himself, a weapon or to throw chakra attacks. His chakra was red like a demonic being's.
On his way towards Konoha, he met two people wearing black cloaks with red cloud patterns. One had a big scythe with three blades and the other hid his face and had weird eyes.
"Hey, Kakuzu, isn't that the last Jinchuuriki? He's blond and has three marks on his cheeks, like the description says."
"Yes, Hidan, this is our target. Let's not waste time and take him to the hideout."
"I want to play with him a little!"
"Don't play for too long, I don't want to spend the afternoon watching you fight a runaway teenager."
Hidan, the gray haired man with the scythe, attacked Naruto. The response was immediate. Without caring about the identity of his opponent, Naruto shot past his weapon and struck him with his palm, releasing a tiny amount of chakra. At least, tiny for him. Hidan's ribcage broke instantly and his organs exploded under the pressure. He was sent tumbling like a rag doll and couldn't move his torso. He tried to curse but couldn't since he had nothing to breathe with and no air left inside his destroyed lungs.
Kakuzu tensed and used long range attack to try and win the fight without getting in melee range with the Jinchuuriki who had just one shot his partner. Little did it change as the Fox-boy didn't even react to his attacks and drew an ultra-greatsword from a storage scroll. He put a little chakra inside it. The blade was covered in red chakra extending to twenty meters. The old man couldn't believe his eyes.
"How does he do that?!"
The giant blade didn't wait for him to snap out of his paralysis caused by the innate behaviour of prey against a predator. It came down at a frightening speed and cut him in two halves. But rather than stopping there, a really terrorizing fox-inspired creature made of pure chakra was launched his way and devoured him, destroying everything it ate as the chakra it was made of was very corrosive.
Kakuzu disappeared into the horrific chakra creature. After killing the masked Akatsuki member, the thing went to Hidan and consumed his body in the same way, without him even being able to cry in pain.
"So much confidence for two weaklings. They can't do anything against my chakra. Such pitiful existences weren't worth my time."
Naruto resumed his journey towards the village that had disrespected him and forbidden him to show them his talent, the same village that had sealed his other part inside him. He was going to pay them back for what he had been going through for twelves years because of these stupid insects that feared his power rather than revering it as they should have. Or simply respected him. Depended on which part of him you asked. But none of them were going to let it slip. Konoha had wronged them like it had wronged the whole shinobi world.

He could see the gates of the village hidden in the Leaf – what a funny name for a village of several thousands of people that had engraved the faces of its leaders on the closest mountain, just what they needed to show everyone where their hidden village was located. Two guards stopped him at the entrance.
"Who are you and what do you want?" asked one of them, spiky dark hair and a bandage over his nose.
"Kotetsu! It's Naruto! Don't you remember him?" asked the shinobi with a bandanna as his forehead protector and a hair strand covering his right eye.
"Oh! You're right Izumo! The poor kid left the village because he was rejected and failed the graduation exams! So sad to lose a Jinchuuriki like that. He didn't do anything wrong."
"Sorry, good afternoon, Naruto. Why did you come back after three years? Also, nice make up!"
"How do you know I'm the real one and not a spy in disguise? And that's not make up, these are my fox eye rims," said the teenager.
"Because we could see through a genjutsu or detect a transformation technique. There's a reason for us to guard the gates. You didn't answer my question though."
"I came for payback. I want to crush the people who wronged me – us – before moving on. I've been hindered purposefully by this village for twelve years. I could have become the most powerful inhabitant here, helped everyone, but no, Konoha has framed me with something I didn't have any responsibility in, and the other me got sealed although I should have been helped to break the controlling skill that affected me. Where's your Hokage to take responsibility for his actions and for neglecting me and letting me live a miserable life for twelve years?"
"Sorry, but the Hokage has changed. You can't have your revenge because he's already dead. But if it helps you, he gave his soul to the Shinigami to save the village from Orochimaru, protecting his people from the consequences of his mistakes before his death. He will never rest in peace…"
"And the people who treated me like trash? Are they also dead or can I have some of my revenge?"
"Why would I tell you? I'm supposed to protect this village, not to sell the people living inside."
"Well then I'll just destroy the whole village."
"Kotetsu, bring the Hokage. We should try to resolve this crisis without bloodshed if possible," said Izumo.
"Okay, I'll be right back."
"Why did you say you'd destroy the whole village?"
"Because I can do it. With the most powerful Bijuu as a part of myself, it was very easy to become powerful. If I had been told earlier about it, I'd have become a shinobi long before anyone of my generation."
"You seem pretty confident. Do you even know what our shinobi can do?"
"I've killed shinobi and nukenin from every village who tried to abduct me and turn me into a weapon. I bet I can handle a village of people who've been slacking off for fifteen years because there was no war to keep them on their toes."
"Don't underestimate Konoha ninjas, boy."
Kotetsu came back with a busty blond lady in her early thirties with a diamond shaped purple tattoo on her forehead.
"I heard you wanted to blast Konoha if I don't let you kill the people who've wronged you when you were a child," summed up the woman. "I'm sorry for what happened to you, but I can't accept your request. Let's find a reasonable way out of this situation, boy, before I have to knock some sense into your thick head. By the way, I'm Senju Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage."
"Well, you could always can them from Konoha for their crimes and then their fate wouldn't be placed on your shoulders anymore. These scums used me as a scapegoat because they couldn't take revenge on the Kyuubi! How do you treat people who gang up against a child? And the teachers who purposefully held me back from my greatness? You could have gotten the most powerful shinobi in the Elemental Nations on your side if your village had tried to accept reality and if you had treated me as the one who sacrificed his body to save the village from destruction! And my other self wants to get revenge for having been sealed in a lonely place without any way to see the outside world! Should I just suck it up? I won't!"
"Great rant kid, just tell me who were your teachers and they'll get fired. As for the people who've attacked you, they will be judged. But you won't kill anyone here today."
"Judged? By the same people who despised me for no other reason than being the one that was used to save them? Sorry but I don't trust your justice."
"Listen kid, grow up. The world is cruel and bad things happen, but some people accept it and move on. If you try to get revenge, you'll be just as bad as the ones who attacked you."
"No I won't. Because they attacked an innocent child, while I want to attack guilty adults. Child abusers. Would you like to sacrifice for your child and learn in the afterlife that your child has been attacked by the people he has saved? What would you want to do to them?"
"If it was my kid? I would come back from the dead to kill them."
"Then why would it be different for me? Just because I'm an orphan I can't take revenge?"
"You're still alive and you have all your life in front of you, don't let hate consume you, boy."
"It's too late for that. I'm boiling inside and the only reason you're still alive is because you have nothing to do with this story. Konoha will be better without this human trash!"
"If I weren't the Hokage, I couldn't care less about them. But I am supposed to protect my people, and you're threatening my village."
"Let's fight, if I win I do whatever I want and if you win you can send me away."
"Tcheh, teenagers are overconfident. What makes you believe you can beat me?"
"If you want to save your village, you shouldn't fight me here."
"Then let's go somewhere I can fight without risking to destroy the place I must protect."
"Alright. Choose your battlefield."
They went to a big clearing in the forest, a few kilometers from Konoha.
"Here we can fight freely," she affirmed.
"Then let's begin. Show me what the Fifth Hokage is made of."
Tsunade dashed at Naruto and punched him. He was sent flying twenty meters away. He stood back up and cleaned the dust off his clothes.
"Tell me that's not all you can do. I didn't even feel it. I can tell you I fear mosquitoes more than that."
"Then I'll have to go all out!"
Tsunade released her power, increasing her strength and speed tremendously. She appeared in front of the boy and punched him hard with her chakra enhanced strength, Seal of a Hundred Healings and releasing chakra into him with the hit. She felt him resist and his red chakra dissipated the power of her strike, which caused a great amount of destruction in the landscape on each side of the boy. But he was unscathed.
"Did you just disperse the force of my blow with my chakra?" she asked, surprised.
"I didn't want to fly a kilometer away from here so I dispersed the energy. Now it's my turn to show you my power."
She didn't get time to think about anything as he dashed on her and punched her in the abdominals, hoping not to kill her. She flew far away and crushed a lot of trees on the way to where she landed. He stood up and destroyed a chakra fox that would give nightmares to Morino Ibiki, the head of the torture department.
That's when she saw the Bijuu bomb. A black ball of chakra shot towards her. She grabbed a tree and threw it at the bomb while getting as far away as possible before the explosion. She was blown away by the chakra released behind her and had trouble getting back up.
"Wanna surrender? I'm still as fresh as if I'd just taken a nap," said Naruto, offering a hand to lift her up.
She saw the damage caused by the explosion and found herself lucky to still be able to move. Even without taking it head on, she was barely able to stand up and was shaking like a leaf.
"You're good," the boy told her. "You're the first person to survive an attack this powerful. Usually my opponents die long before I use that much power."
"Thanks, I guess…Even though you're the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki, who could have thought you could become so powerful…and you're only fifteen…"
"I'm not just a Jinchuuriki, Tsunade-chan. I AM the Kyuubi, as much as I am Naruto. We've merged into a single person."
"Is that why you've got his traits?
"Absolutely. Now you'll have to honour your promise, before you kill yourself with chakra exhaustion."
"You know what? After all I've discovered about this village during the three years I've spent as the Hokage, I don't even want to have anything to do with it anymore. I was right to leave when I was younger. This village is cursed. Nothing good ever happens when you fight for Konoha. I've lost all I had and this jerk Jiraya barely managed to put me in that cursed office because he didn't want to be the one taking that seat. Screw him and screw Konoha. I'm done with them. Just tell them I lost and died of chakra exhaustion. Do whatever you please to these shitty people who hurt you. If you were my son I'd have killed them with my own hands anyway."
"Seems like you're the wisest person left in Konoha, then. Because, you know, the others already left a long time ago…"
"If we meet again, I'll treat you to a restaurant to celebrate the deaths of these fucking child abusers. Now go get them. I'll be on my way."
"Sure. I'll find you out there for this restaurant, I never refuse a good meal!"
He left at blinding speed. Tsunade walked a few steps and fell to the ground, completely drained by the amount of chakra she had used in this fight as well as the double edge of her ability.

Naruto got past the Gates, the two guards jaw dropping at him being here alone without a scratch. The only trace of a fight was some dust on his clothes.
"He beat her?" asked Kotetsu to his partner.
"He beat her…" replied the dumbfounded Izumo.
"Oh, the Hokage died from chakra exhaustion after countering my blast. I didn't even kill her. Now I'll do what I came here for, please don't step in. I could fight her for hours and not be tired, don't even think there's anyone here who stands a chance against me."
"Kotetsu, did you see this bird in the sky?"
"What? Oh, yeah! I think it's a flamingo!"
"No, it's a…"
"Shit, there's really a bird in the sky! A big one!" exclaimed Kotetsu.
"Enemy shinobi!" shouted Izumo.
Naruto quickly found the people who had wronged him and deleted them. When he heard the alarm, he wondered what was happening. That's when he saw a big shadow on the ground in front of him. He looked up, higher, still higher, until he saw a white owl.
"Jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tails! Surrender to us or I'll blast this village!" shouted a young man's voice from atop the owl.
"Well, do as you please! I don't care about this place! I only came here for payback!"
"Huh? What? Then I can blast the village?"
"Not under my watch!"
A silver haired man used an Earth Pillar to reach the terrorist's level and tried to put a whole inside of his chest with a Chidori, a lightning assassination technique in melee range.
"Bye bye!" laughed the creator of the owl as he jumped away and detonated the giant bomb.
He made another bird to fly on and the blast killed the ninja who had tried to assassinate him.
"If you don't want to end like him, Kyuubi boy, you should surrender while you're still alive!"
"Try me if you're so confident!" challenged the blond boy.
"I'll show you my art! C-3!"
The young man let a giant bomb fall towards the ground. Naruto created a giant version of his chakra fox which jumped and swallowed the bomb. The chakra in the C-3 dissipated in the thing's body and it changed its direction…in the air. Deidara freaked out and let himself fall from the owl, detonating it to destroy the chakra fox before it could swallow it too. He was starting to be short on clay, so he created a Shadow Clone and sent it towards his target to detonate. But the boy slammed a chakra hammer onto it and the explosion shook the ground but didn't do any damage over the ground level. He was dumbfounded.
His partner came to help him. The weird man with a veil on his face used decoys to offer them an opportunity to get away. Only they had not planned that the boy would have a mass destruction long ranged attack. The Bijuu bomb exploded too close to them and they were taken in the blast, which killed both of them in a massive red dome of chakra.
Naruto left Konoha without a care about the damage that it had just sustained. That's when he gained his nickname, Cataclysm.

He found Tsunade not far from where he had left her, unconscious. He gave her a small amount of chakra, just enough to keep her safe but not enough to hurt her due to the nature of his energy. He lifted her on his shoulder and left the Land of Fire.
He ended up finding another shinobi village before the sun set. It was the village hidden in the Grass. He brought Tsunade to their hospital and she got medical treatment.
After a day and two nights of sleep, she woke up and found Naruto to her bedside.
"You're…here…"
Her voice was very weak and sounded like she had not drunk for days. The boy gave her a glass of water that she took in a shaky hand and drank to the last drop.
"I found you collapsed on the ground, so I picked you up and went looking for another ninja village. Konoha was in bad enough shape and I told them you were dead. Now you're free."
"Did you destroy the village hidden in the Leaf?"
"No, at least not directly. A weird guy on a white owl attacked me while I was leaving. A shinobi with silver hair tried to kill him before he could blast the place, but he got caught in the explosion of the transportation means. Then the terrorist tried to blow up the village, but I made a massive Nightmare Fox to swallow it and it did nothing. Then he tried other things, the ground blasted and it was close to an earthquake, and after that he fled with a friend of his covering him. I shot a Kurama Bomb at them and they died in the blast. But there was some collateral damage. That's when I left and found you lying on the ground."
"Where are we?"
"In Kusa. They welcomed us when they recognized you. I told them that you were officially dead and that word should not spread that you were still breathing. They were more than happy to have the world's best medic kunoichi here, so they didn't charge us any fee, but you'll have to help in the hospital when you're back to shape."
"Well, at least that's not one of the major villages. I should be fine here, no more troublesome work for stupid people who don't deserve it."
"Yeah, we'll be fine here," confirmed Naruto with a slight variation. "I'm gonna settle for now, I don't know if I'll go on another journey or not but for now I just want some rest. The day we met, I had killed two of these black cloaked with red clouds guys before reaching Konoha, then we fought and after that I ended these two other guys. Now that I think of it, I've just remembered they also had the same cloudy cloaks…and they said I was the last Jinchuuriki."
"Akatsuki…it means…they're close to their goal…whatever it might be, if it requires the power of all the Bijuu, it can't be a good thing…" noticed Tsunade.
"They can try. May they come all at once if they think they can beat me. No one knows we're here, so I have months if not years before they come for me. By then I'll be able to destroy an entire country in a single attack. I've also prepared myself to counter those Uchiha bastards with their fucking eyes that control you or put you in an unbreakable genjutsu."
"What can you do against that?"
"I close my eyes and sense their chakra, then I send them my Nightmare Fox that will chase them until it's destroyed. While they try to get rid of it, I cut them down with my chakra blade!"
"How will you get that close to them?"
"I'm very fast and I can extend my chakra blade up to fifty meters already. And if that's not enough, I can throw a bunch of Kurama Bombs. I can survive twenty of my own at once. I don't think THEY can. Being a half Bijuu has its benefits."
"Wow, can you really do all that? How old are you already?"
"Fifteen. Nearly sixteen. But if we count Kurama I'm older than the sum of the people living in the Elemental Nations. So it's not really like you can measure my powers with a human power scale. You can't compare a mountain to a finger, no offense. You're strong for someone without a Bijuu. It's just that there's no competition possible between us."
"I've got it, I'm an ant and you're the foot that could step on me without noticing…"
"You still tried to stop me and that's honorable. You're the most powerful, brave and beautiful woman I've ever met!"
"Thanks…"
Tsunade blushed at the honest compliment.
'He could be my son! Technically he could even be my grandson! That's not right!'
"You owe me a restaurant, remember?" he teased her.
"Oh, yeah…with your chakra reserves, I bet you'll cost me everything I have…"
"Hmm…sorry, but I don't think you have any money on you. We left without going back to the village. You'll have to earn it before inviting me!"
"Oh crap…I'm broke with a kid in a foreign country in a foreign hidden village…what worse could happen?"
"You could be with a pervert who had a day and two nights to peep on you while you were a sleeping beauty!"
She punched him in the head.
"I didn't do anything! I was just telling you it could have been way worse!"
"Did you just cite a part of Jiraya's stupid books?"
"Who's Jiraya? And I don't read much, you know…not that I'd mind, but I've never settled in a place where I could read in peace."
"Okay, you're a fine brat. Sorry for punching you. Serves you for the punch you gave me during our fight."
"Well, now you owe me a hike!"
"Did you just ask me for a date?"
"It's just hiking, don't get your expectations too high, Miss Best Medic In The World. We'll see if you have good stamina!"
"Oh, a challenge now? I can't refuse that! I won't let a fifteen year old boy beat me in stamina!"
"Then we've got a deal!"

When she could walk again, they went on a long hike, which helped her recover. She learnt to appreciate the Fox-boy and understood that he wasn't really a fifteen year old boy. The Kyuubi had completely merged with him. He even showed her his true form, in which he had long fox ears and nine big fox tails. He was so cute like that that she couldn't keep herself from cuddling him and she heard his purr, which made her even more eager to stroke him.
She then started to work at the hospital while he lived outside of the village. She visited often. They went to a restaurant together and he ruined her, but she had already planned that. They spent more and more time together after that, dating without naming it.

When the Akatsuki found Naruto, he obliterated them. Even their leader with the Rinnegan could not beat him as his power had continued to increase and he could use all nine tails of his Fox part. He never found the original body of the man named Nagato, but it seemed he had died from exhaustion during their fight as all of a sudden, all his abilities disappeared.
Soon after that, a woman came to find him in Kusa. She had blue hair and was nice. She asked to serve him and Tsunade pressed him to accept. Naruto was not a very organized person, so she would be glad to get someone else to tidy the house. Also, better keep a potential enemy close to know what they were up to. This woman, Konan, really dedicated herself to the young man. Soon she became like a sister to him and he traded her cleaning with training sessions.
Tsunade got pregnant two years after they had settled in Kusa, and Naruto became a father at nineteen years old. He was very dedicated to his child and life companion. The child grew into a real powerhouse, but also a very funny person, with her mischievous personality. She had seen things that most children didn't before becoming a teenager, which made her a very straight girl concerning relationships. She didn't like beating around the bush. If she liked someone, she asked them out, even if it was a girl and it was not very accepted yet.
Tsunade died at eighty years old, when her daughter was twenty-one. Naruto visited her grave everyday. He was forty, yet he still looked thirty. The woman had kept her young appearance until her last moment, not wanting him to see her as she was really, old, less sexy and tired, even though he didn't care. He loved her for who she was and not for her looks.
Konan had become her successor in medical ninjutsu and had learnt the Seal of a Hundred Healings so that someone could pass it down to the posterity. She never settled with anyone, as her heart was already taken by someone that was long dead. She never told Naruto who her lover had been.
Natsuko, Naruto's daughter, learnt her mother's techniques and became a renamed medic nin. She even became the head of Kusagakure no Sato's hospital at only thirty.
Naruto left after the deaths of his adoptive sister, his daughter and his grandson. It was hard to be an immortal being. But he lived with the happy memories of his family following him forever. He never became a shinobi and never went back to Konoha. He wandered around the world, discovered the Land of Whirlpools, found the secrets of the Uzumaki and his Fox part was very happy of the Uchiha clan's disappearance as it meant he'd never be controlled again.
He then left the Elemental Nations territory to wander in the unknown, looking for what he didn't know about. Nobody remembered his name, but Konoha's history books mentioned the day the Cataclysm had defeated the Fifth Hokage and destroyed a part of the city during a fight with terrorists who had killed Hatake Kakashi. It had taken years to rebuild after these events.
The end
