Broken Phone and Glasses

Leblanc Café

The bell over the entrance door rung signaling that someone walked in, "I'm home." Akira calls out to his guardian Sojiro.

"Hey." Sojiro looks over at him but his face becomes stern when he notices that his glasses were duck-taped together on the middle of the frame, "And why are your glasses broken? Did you get in a fight!?"

Akira sighs since he was always getting accused of getting into trouble by Sojiro, "Why do you always assume that I'm doing bad stuff? But no, I didn't get a fight, Ann accidentally broke my glasses." "Not to mention your calling and messaging device" "I swear you should know what a cellphone is by now..."

Sojiro smirks, "Oh, you guys played too rough?"

Akira rolls his eyes, "I don't think couples headbutt each other to show affection. She just saw something she wanted and threw her fist in the air from excitement but accidentally punched me in the face." "Even though that was a lie, I wouldn't doubt that would happen." "Anyway, I'm going to go upstairs to rest."

"Alright, come down later and I'll make you some curry."

Akira nods and thanks him then he walks upstairs and puts his bag on the desk that were next to the stairs with Morgana jumping out of it. "Hey, what do you mean by couples when you talked to Sojiro about Lady Ann?"

"Relax Morgana; I had to make up an excuse for why my glasses broke. I'm not going to take your precious Lady Ann from you. "Maybe you should tell everyone that you are in courtship with Ann." Arsene whispers. "Not yet, we just started dating after stealing Madarame's heart, even though Ann wants to tell everyone…"

"Good. Because once I become human, I'm going to show Lady Ann my love for her!" "And Carmen will be mine forever!"

Akira just rolls his eyes and then lays down on his bed, thinking about how they were going to get past the door blocking the their path in Futaba's palace, "But first, I need to buy a new phone and glasses. It's a good thing that I got my contacts with me." Akira soon starts to fall asleep but that's when his phone rings. He then gets his phone out of his pocket but he couldn't see who was calling since his phone's screen was cracked. Though he was still able to press the answer button. So he presses it and puts the phone by his ear, "Hello?"

"Um...Hey..." It was Ann on the other line.

He sighs, "Oh...Hello, Takamaki..."

He hears her sigh, "I'm guessing you're still mad?"

"Yeah I intend to call people I know by their last name when I'm mad just an FYI."

She sighs again, "Now I know. Look, I'm sorry I broke your phone and glasses; I was just trying to punish Ryuji and Yusuke for being perverts. I didn't mean to get you involved."

He sighs, "It's fine Ann. What happened anyways? I was looking at my phone to see Mishima's requests when the seat flew backwards."

"Well I unbuttoned a few of my buttons on my blouse since it was hot and I looked over seeing Ryuji and Yusuke staring hard at my chest...That's when I got mad and pulled the back seat lever and you know the rest…."

Akira sighs for what felt like the hundredth time, "I kinda figured something like that happened…"

"Is that Lady Ann!? Let me talk to her!" "I want to talk to my, senorita!"

He groans, "Hold on, Morgana wants to say something." "She is not your senorita!"

"Lady Ann! I wasn't staring because I am a gentleman!" Morgana says with his usual failed charming voice.

Ann sighs irritated, "That's only because you were in your van form! And don't think I don't remember when you tried to look up my shorts when I was sleeping on Akira's couch during our hot plate celebration!"

Morgana's ears went down and he sulks over to his usual table spot

Akira puts the phone next to his ear, "Wow...That was kinda harsh."

"I know...but I'm tired of him calling me Lady Ann and his annoying 'charming' talking even though I told him constantly to knock it off."

He chuckles, "Well, he did fall in love with you from seeing your cognitive self in the castle."

"Ugh, please don't remind of the castle or my fake self, I'm glad I cut that thing in half even though it came back. You know, I still kinda wish I killed that bastard's shadow, he's lucky you stopped me."

"Well, it wouldn't be worth it plus he wouldn't have been able to confess to all his crimes and pay for them."

"Yeah and I finally got revenge for Shiho. I still miss her though…"

He sighs, "I'm sorry that I can't do anything about that…"

"No, you already are, by being with me." He can picture her smile

Akira smiles big, "I'm glad to hear that. Anyway, enough with the sadness, do you want to go with me to get a new phone?"

She laughs, "Of course, though I should be the one asking you that and buying you new stuff. Oh! How about a pink phone? We can totally match!"

Akira laughs, "Oh geez..." He then hears Sojiro call his name for the food, "Hey, I'll talk to you tomorrow. We can meet at the underground mall like usual."

"I'm totally down for that! I'll see you tomorrow." She then gets nervous, "Um...I love you."

Akira smiles, "Love you, too" "Carmen! I forgot to tell you that 'you're the most beautiful girl that I ever laid eyes on' today!" "Damn it Arsene! Don't scream it!"

Ann sighs, "Oh god..." "Arsene! My love for you is like a burning inferno in my heart!" "Carmen! You're not supposed to say that loudly!"

Akira facepalms, "Man these two are starting to get really cheesy now..."

"You can say that again…"

But Morgana overheard the last of the conversation, "So, they are together, he lied to me…" "I will have my revenge, senior..."

Underground Mall

Akira runs up to Ann, who was dressed in her casual outfit, "Hey! Sorry that I'm late. I had to help Sojiro with the dishes."

She smiles seeing him, "Its okay. You're looking good as usual."

He chuckles, "Oh please, I'm always wearing this. Though I'm surprised Carmen didn't get excited. I had to make a deal with Arsene to be quiet."

"I did the same with Carmen, that's probably why she's not yelling out her love."

"Makes sense." Akira starts to look around, "I think there should be a cell phone place somewhere around here."

"Oh, I know the perfect store! Come on, I'll show you" She then puts her arm around his.

He blushes, "Wait...Should we be walking like this? Wouldn't someone see us?"

Ann looks down in sadness and whispers, "You still want to keep us a secret...?"

He sighs feeling bad, "Well, I don't want you to be label as the girl who's dating a criminal."

"I don't care! I know what is like to be labeled, and you don't deserve the hate since you're not a criminal! You saved that girl even if she lied to the police."

He smiles, "Thank you, Ann."

She puts her head on his shoulder, "There's no need to thank me. Me, Ryuji, Yusuke, and Makoto know the real you...We don't care if you're falsely labeled as a criminal."

Akira smiles big, "I don't know what to say…but thank you." He sighs, "But I do wish I can remember that asshole's name or face that did this to me…"

Ann hugs his arm tightly, "We'll find him together…but right now we need to find you a phone so we can go save Futaba."

He nods, "Well lead the way then."

She lets go of his arm and grabs his hand then drags him to the phone store.

After a while, they walk out of the store. Akira starts looking at his new phone and takes off the back then puts the sim card into the port and turns it on, "Sweet! All my stuff is back and the Metaverse app is still on here somehow."

"Hm, maybe it knows? Still, it's kinda creepy." She looks at the phone, "I can't believe you got the exact same kind of phone and color, lame."

"Hey, remember it's your fault I had to get a new one anyways."

"Well, that doesn't mean you had to get the same one, besides maybe I lied about the what happened in the van and got mad because you weren't the one checking me out." Ann flips her pigtail at him.

"Uh huh, suuure. Anyway, we should probably head back, it's getting late."

Ann sighs upset, "Can't we hangout longer...? I mean, we still need to get your glasses right?"

"Eh, I'll just use my duck-taped one for now. We need to save Futaba as quickly as possible."

"Yeah you're right...I still feel bad about her. Do you think her mother hated her and she killed herself cause of Futaba?"

Akira scratches his head, "I'm not sure, we need to find more info. But I know how it feels to think your parents hate you. That's why I want to save her fast."

Ann had to pretend not to know about the truth of his parents, "You think your parents hate you?"

"Well only because of what Sojiro said my first night here. That my parents had him watch me because I caused them trouble and problems."

"That doesn't sound like him at all though…"

"Yeah but I think he just said that cause he's a grumpy old man who thinks he's a young player still. Plus, he didn't trust me completely."

"Maybe if we save Futaba, he'll trust you completely."

He laughs, "That's too good to be true. Anyway, should we head back? Too bad we take separate subways though" "Can I at least say goodbye to Carmen?" Arsene whispers. Akira rolls his eyes, "Fine…go ahead just be a little less cheesy." "No promises. Bye my love! I will see your magnificence tomorrow!"

Carmen didn't even wait for Ann's approval, "Goodbye my darling Arsene! I can't wait till we meet again tomorrow!"

Ann sighs, "Oh brother…"

Mementos Path of Chemdah Area 5

The Thieves were riding in the van while their personas were riding on Captain Kidd's ship over them but Johanna was driving next to the van because they were going after a request target taking a break from Futaba's palace.

Ryuji looks over at Johanna; "Hey Makoto! Why don't you just ride on your persona? Probably be easier for you."

"I would but she doesn't want to be used as a tool; she only let me ride her in Kanoshiro's palace because she wanted to help with our escape."

"Damn she's a badass! Especially since Kidd asked her if he can ride her and she tried to run him over! Take's no shit from anyone!"

Akira starts laughing; "Now that was pretty funny."

Up above them, Arsene and Carmen were talking to each other with the latter trying to convince the former to sneak off for a dance.

"Please Arsene...can we go dance for a little bit? That was their deal for us not talking right?"

"I would love to Carmen but we have to be there for when we face the shadow."

"Pleaseeeee..." She pleads

Arsene sighs relenting; "Alright...hopefully it will take them a while to find this person."

"Yes!" She cheers

They both then sneak off to one of the open areas where multiple treasure chests were usually at.

Closed Off Mementos Area

Akira brings out his dagger; "Alright guys! Are you ready!?" They all yell yes; "Alright Arsene, Elga!" Nothing happens; "Arsene?" He looks around; "Oh god dammit! Where is he?!"

"Carmen, Agilao!" Nothing happens as well and she looks around but knows exactly what happened; "Carmen! You are in so much trouble when we get home!" Ann screams in her mind.

Mementos Open Area

Arsene and Carmen were in the middle of doing the waltz.

Carmen sighs happliy putting her head on his shoulder; "I wish we can do this everyday..."

Arsene smiles; "I know...But that's why we have these moments..."

After they continue dancing in silence; Carmen looks down; "I was wondering...Would you still love me if I was a terrible person in my past?"

He nods; "Of course...I will always love you because I was a bad person as well. So I wouldn't be able to judge you..."

She looks up at him surprised; "You were a bad person? I don't believe that..."

"Well you should...and I will tell you when I have the confidence too..."

"Arsene..." She puts her head back on his shoulder; "Okay...We have forever anyways..." She then smiles; "Can we make love?"

Arsene's eyes go wide; "That came out of nowhere..."

"Sorry. But it's been so long! I didn't even get to do it before I dead!"

"Well I definitely would love that but we don't have time. We have to go back..."

She presses her chest against his chest trying to convince him; "Please...We'll get in trouble but it will be worth it..."

Arsene gulps feeling the softness of her chest getting close to giving into her; "N-No...We have to go..."

"Fine..." She pulls back; "Almost every guy would have taken the chance. I sometimes hate how much of a gentleman you are..."

"You know me. Always being a gentleman." "That was too close...Anymore and I would have given in..."

Closed Off Mementos Area

The Cyber-Bullying Girl's shadow went to attack Akira but she got blocked by Captain Kidd; "I got ye Bucko!" Ryuji ran to the shadow and did a homerun swing with his pipelike weapon knocking it down.

They then did their All-Out Attack and destroyed the shadow. They did their usual scolding to the shadow and they receive the mini treasure.

Akira sighs; "Come on guys; let's go to the entrance…"

Ryuji elbows Akira; "So why did you and Ann's personas sneak off together huhhh?"

Akira glares at him; "I'll let you know after I kill him…"

Mementos Entrance

Akira and Ann stood at the entrance waiting for Arsene and Carmen come back.

"I don't know if I should go after Arsene because Carmen knows how to convince him easily..."

"Ugh...This is so embarrassing! I kept telling her to quit sneaking off like that with Arsene!"

Arsene and Carmen materialise into their heads but then appear in front of them with their heads hung low seeing that they were here

"So, who would like to explain what happened?" Akira says glaring at them

Arsene bows to them; "It was my fault Akira...I wanted to dance with Carmen since we've been busy with Futaba's palace."

Akira sighs but then smiles; "Fine then, I'll let it go just this one time. Besides; you're right. You two barely have time for eachother and it was my fault for not having another persona. Anyway; you guys ready to go?" But he notices Ann just standing there while glaring at Carmen; "Is something wrong?"

"I'll meet you back in reality; I want to speak to Carmen…alone."

Akira nods and he uses the Metaverse app, while Arsene goes in his head, making him disappear

"You're lucky Akira and Arsene are gentlemen, Carmen. So would you like to tell me the truth?"

"Um...it was my really my fault." She looks down; "I just wanted to dance with him so I convinced him to go…"

Ann sighs; "I get that but you almost got Akira hurt. This isn't a game…" She smiles; "Well anyway; did you have fun at least?"

Carmen beams; "Oh yes! I always love dancing with him and I was trying to make love to him though."

"Well that's nice...Wait what!?"
