Update/Sneak Peek
Akira sits on his bed waiting for Ann which he was surprised that she was allowed to stay over after how angry her parents were for him putting her into danger after revealing that Ann was a phantom thief as well. But thankfully, her parents accepted it after he said that he didn't want to get her involved but she was pushy and ended up there anyways.
But now he was thinking about what he found out from his mother and it was that his father actually abused her. He never thought he would go that far with hating him to the point where he would lay his hands on his wife for even worrying about him. But it now made him think, what if he was like that. He did snap at Ann like that without hearing her side of the story and almost got his friends killed in his lust for revenge. What if he one day, snaps and actually does hit her. That's why he wanted to go find out today why his father hated so much to do that. Was it really out of not being respected or was it because his father didn't love them and is using this false accusation to attack them. That's why he wasn't angry when his mother told him, he was more upset that his father would do something like that. But then he remember what Morgana said, and that's if a shadow stays unchecked they could become a palace. And now he would have to steal his father's treasure and make him become an empty shell of himself
"I should have defeated his shadow earlier when I first heard about this from mother...I never thought he would get to this point..."
"I didn't think so either...But you shouldn't be thinking like that. Maybe there's something that he's hiding from us. Something that he regrets?'
"I'm not sure, but if he is, I hope he didn't have an affair or killed someone..." He shakes his head; "I know Ann said I shouldn't keep thinking about it tonight but...I just want to know..."
"And you'll know tomorrow." He hears Ann say and turns to her; "Today is still your birthday and I just want you to be at least try and be happy for the rest of it..." "It really hasn't been a great birthday for you, Akira..."
"I know Ann and its okay, Carmen. I guess I can be glad that I finally got the man who got me into this position and above all else..." He holds her hand; "I have you..." "Don't forget an awkward one as well..."
She smiles big; "I swear, I don't deserve you..." She sits down next to him and wraps her arms around his; "So...I told Emily and Makoto that I'm going to give them a day to be with you." Carmen laughs; "That was so great! I didn't know whether confused, disgusted or jealous!"
He looks at her confused; "Why though?" "Oh ha, ha! I just want to forget all about it..."
"Well...I just thought of that because I didn't know what else to do to make up for how I treated you and the other two...So I just thought of that..." "I can make you forget about it!"
He sighs; "Ann, I don't want them as well. I just want you. Yeah, I still care about Emily but only as friends now...and Makoto, well I don't know, it's even harder that Anat is with Samael so...yeah. I'll think about Makoto but Emily, I don't want her to share me because you and I know she doesn't want that." "Yeah...I don't think that would help out..."
"I guess that's true, but I'll figure her out later." She kisses him gently; "But, I know you're thinking about your father..." "Oh really? That's not what your hands were saying."
He looks down because she was right; "Yeah...I know you didn't want me to but it's just hard because-" "Well, I mean...that's not fair..."
Ann interrupts him by kissing him; "Then I'll help you forget about it tonight so we'll figure it out tomorrow. Today's still your birthday and I still have a gift for you..." She pushes him down; "Just relax..." "Okay Ann...just calm down and just use the practice with the banana because he needs to have at least a great end to his birthday." "Oh, please dear. You should know by now that I don't play fair when it comes to love."
[Hey, everyone! I'm sorry for taking long like usual, a lot of things happening and plus, I've been thinking about what I should do about Emily, Makoto and Ann being with Akira. So, Emily won't be with Akira because she wouldn't want to share him. Makoto is hard because with Anat being with Samael, it would make sense. And, this story is indeed, a Joker's Panther, but Makoto was going to fall for Akira and Anat was going to be with Samael. So, I'm still been thinking about what to do with Makoto, hence why Akira said he'll think about it.]
