Snow continued to fall as the day wore on. A few smashers got shovels and shovelled the snow off the walkways leading to the mansion.
"Who would have thought this much snow would pile up," Ness grumbled. He let out a grunt as he pushed his shovel forwards into the snow in front of him.
"This is child slavery; do you know that Captain?" Lucas teased throwing the snow off the walkway. Captain Falcon laughed rolling his eyes.
"You kids could have said no. I didn't force you to help," the captain replied, looking back at them.
"We were taught to obey adults. If someone older than us asks us to do something we should agree to help regardless," Lucas said.
"Within reason of course," Ness chimed in. Captain Falcon smiled and thanked them for helping.
"Sir, yes sir!"
Pikachu went outside, the cool air hitting his tiny body. His paws were wet from the snow. He made sure to stay on the paths that were made. It was a nice snow day, just as Nana and Popo said earlier. He let out a sigh of enjoyment then strolled onto the snowy grass, leaving trails behind him as he went along.
Ness swung his shovel to the side, throwing the snow. He heard a high-pitched squeal and looked back startled. Pikachu shook his body in order to get the snow off him. He stood up on his two back paws, using his front paws to wipe his face.
"Oops. Sorry Pikachu." Ness apologized.
"Pika-Pikachu!" (I should have paid attention to where I was walking!) Pikachu squeaked cleaning his ears. Ness and Lucas asked the captain if they could quit and the three decided to go inside to warm up. They ran inside wiping their feet on the carpet that lay in the grand entrance. They went into the living room, where the fireplace was lit.
"Hello boys. You want some hot chocolate?" Samus asked getting up from her chair. The boys looked and let out a gasp.
Samus was in a blue skin-tight full body jumpsuit, and her hair was in ponytail. This outfit was certainly different then the usual ensemble she usually wore. Samus got the boys cups and made them their drinks.
"You look so different without your other suit on!" Lucas exclaimed.
"This is my Zero Suit I wear underneath my Power suit," Samus said. She smiled at them and set their drinks down on the coffee table.
"Thank you for the drinks Samus." Lucas said. Pikachu watched the steam rise out of his cup. He blew into it trying to cool off the drink that steamed inside.
The fire slowly died until King Dedede came in with a pile of wood, Bowser right behind him. King Dedede put a few pieces into the fireplace, carefully as not to burn himself. King Dedede stepped back to give Bowser room. Bowser fixed himself in front of the fireplace, took a huge inhale and exhaled the flames of breath to save the fire.
"Now that's lit!" King Dedede looked at Bowser. He let out a groan rolling his eyes.
Masterhand and Crazyhand were watching the Smashers.
"It looks like the majority of them are enjoying the first snowfall of the year."
"We've always had the best first snowfalls."
"Don't jinx it now brother." Masterhand said. Crazyhand let out a chuckle.
