HI
Sakura and Ino were both buzzing through the house trying to prepare for the party tonight. They had all sorts of decorations and goodies around the house. Sakura felt a presence out the near window. Anbu was sitting on the nearest tree staring down at the two. Sakura opened the window letting in sun rays and a slight breeze infiltrate the room.
"How can I help you?"
"You're going to be needed at the hospital in the next 30 minutes Hokage-sama orders."
"Are you sure it's me? I'm not allowed back at the hospital."
"Yes, Sakura Haruno, Lord Hokage only trusts you with the incoming patients."
"Okay." Sakura was still shocked by the news. Tsunade specifically said that she wasn't allowed back at the hospital.
"Why do they need you back at the hospital? Who's going to help me with the freaking party." Ino asked.
Sakura began to pack her stuff without missing a beat." Sorry, Ino but sensei called me so it must be important, I'm sure Ten Ten will help you if you asked. I'm sorry but I'll be there tonight."
"Uhhh fine forehead but you better be there tonight." Ino walked to her best friend hugging her tightly. As much as Sakura wanted to stay and help, she couldn't because her duties were needed at the hospital.
Sakura walked out of the door towards the hospital. Luckily the Nara household was close to the hospital, unlike her apartment. It didn't take long for her to pass the flower shop or Ichiraku ramen. The smell of ramen drove her hormones crazy. All she wanted was a cup of ramen. Sakura stared at the building a little and returned to her journey to the hospital.
"Wow this village is way cooler than mine, look at the sun and flowers… Kaa-san do you see the shops." Kato was head over heels for his new village. The duo had finally made their way back home from the Rain Village. It was nothing but suns rays and blue skies. They walked past Izumo and Kotetsu waving at the two.
"Wait Shikamaru I have a scroll for you from Lord Sixth." Izumo quickly waved down Shikamaru before he got any further. Shikamaru took the scroll from Izumo quietly reading it to himself.
"Thanks." Shikamaru lazily said he was beyond tired. All he wanted to do was sleep and watch the clouds. "What a week," he muttered.
"What did the scroll say?" Naruto asked.
"He wanted us to bring Akane quickly to the hospital without any human contact."
"Alright, we finally get to take the tunnels," Naruto yelled excitedly, after the Pain attack Tusande enforced the tunnels for the villagers and shinobi. It could be an escape route just in case something like that happened again. It let to the hospital, the Hokage towers, and the monument for safety.
"I'll report to the Hokage, you guys can head to the hospital," Kiba said as he grabbed the boy off of Akamaru and handed him to Sasuke. Sasuke held the child as if it had a disease or something. Kato started right back at him with the biggest smile on his face.
"Do I have to come?" Sasuke muttered.
"Who else is going to watch Kato silly," Shikamaru smirked at the Uchiha. He knew he didn't want to be with the child but who else would watch the child. They walked the tunnels underneath the village. Shikamaru led the way with a light with Naruto in tow holding a sleeping Akane. Sasuke walked behind Kato who kept touching the walls.
Sakura had finally arrived at the hospital walking in with caution. The same smell of sterilization almost made her gag. She had once loved the smell but now she would rather smell Naruto's smelly clothes than this.
"Lady Sakura, it's so good to see you." A nurse came around the corner greeting the rosette. She quickly hugged Sakura then began to pass the word on. "Lord SIxth is waiting for you in room 379…...By the way, there is hella Anbu in the hospital thought I'd let you know."
Sakura bowed slightly, "Thank you, I'll be on my way now." Sakura walked to the room number, the nurse was right because the whole hall was private no one was down here.
"Sakura Haruno." They look at her for a minute eyeing her up and down. A woman with long brown hair pushed past the men staring at Sakura.
"Let her by Hokage-sama order us to….she's alright."
The men nodded letting her walk by to get to the room. Sakura quietly thanked the woman then went to find room 379. She let out a sigh before she opened the door revealing a woman sitting on the bed. Her sensei stood near the bed talking to the woman. Shikamaru stood near the window trying not to fall asleep.
"Hi, I'm Sakura Haruno." Sakura went to shake the woman's hands. She smiled sweetly at Sakura, "Hello I'm Akane."
"I'm glad you too have finally met, Sakura as you know this is Akane. She will be your new patient since Lady Tsunade has gone to Suna for a while. You are the only person I trust with this information." Kakashi handed everything he knew and had of Akane to Sakura. It held their old medical records and birth certificates. Everything Akane could savage from their old home.
Sakura noticed on some of the documents there was someone by the name Kato. "This may help out a lot, but who is Kato?"
"I'm Kato." Sakura turned around to see a small child standing with Ice-cream and chips in his hand. She looked up to Sasuke with a panicked look on his face then to Naruto who had a scowl on his face.
"What are you doing here Sakura-chan?"
"What does it look like? I'm here helping my patient."
"I need to talk to her for a second." Naruto placed a fake smile on his face before he pulled Sakura out of the room. She tried to pretest but the blonde kept pulling her farther down the hallway.
"Yah! What's your problem?" Sakura ripped her arm out of her boyfriend's clutch. She was way beyond pissed off at him.
"What's my problem! You're here in a damn hospital where it is filled with germs and diseases talking about taking care of someone. Remember the last time you were in the hospital."
"Yes I remember what happened but I am far away from a damn operation table!" Sakura quietly shrieked.
Naruto ran his hands across his hair and face. He grabbed Sakura's shoulders making her look him directly in his eyes. "You're going to be around a damn woman who you have no idea who or what she has. You not only putting yourself in danger but our child, OUR FUCKING CHILD SAKURA."
"Calm down Naruto you're overreacting I'll be fine," Sakura said, she tried to walk away from him only to be pulled back.
"I can't lose you both...I refuse to lose you both"
"I'm going to take caution Naruto, the only reason I'm doing this is that Lady Tusande isn't here but I promise I'll be safe. I'm only going to take her blood and run tests to make sure she doesn't have anything… I promise." Sakura kissed her boyfriend. They both poured their love and feeling into the kiss.
"Cough Cough."
They both turned around seeing their sensei standing there awkwardly scratching his head. "Yes sensei," Naruto said, trying to wipe off the chapstick his girlfriend placed on his lips.
"I heard what you both said, I placed Sakura here because this shouldn't be out to the public just yet. The Rain Village could retaliate knowing we help escape their villagers. I would like to say congratulations on the baby, I found out through Tsuande-sama I had to be informed since I was making Sakura come into the hospital. I didn't want to congratulate you this way but….."
Sakura and Naruto both looked at each other nervously "Ummm...Thank you Kakashi sensei."
"Trust me I would have rather you both have told me instead of Tsunade." Kakashi lightly chuckled.
"No, it's fine sensei, once we get an okay from the doctors we're going to tell my family then later on in the pregnancy we're going to inform our friends," Sakura reassured.
"Good well let's head back to the room and then you guys can head on your way."
"Hai"
Kakashi, Naruto, and Sakura walked back to the room. They were both hand in hand stealing glances at one another."I'm sorry for overreacting Sakura-chan." Naruto quietly whispered.
"You had every right too, but I promise I'll be safe baka." She sweetly kissed him on the cheek right where his whiskers were.
Naruto groaned. "Damn it Sakura-chan not here." Sakura slapped the blonde on his chest laughing at his antics.
Once they got back into the room Sakura started to draw blood from the woman to analyze. "So can you tell me what happened?" Kakashi asked.
"Our Village was once peaceful. Not too long after the war, it became a hell hole, A man by the name Ruzu has taken over. He kills people for their money and power. He plans to take over the world."
Shikamaru pushed himself from the window greatly intrigued by the conversation. "How do you know this."
Akane looked at him. "He told it to my face when he killed my husband."
Sakura nearly dropped a tube that she was holding. She looked over to Kato who was enjoying his ice cream sitting on Sasuke's lap. "Was it in front of your son," she asked.
"Yeah, he wanted it to be a lesson for Kato and I. We managed to escape from them into a small cottage far away from them. That's where I fell ill at."
"What do you mean by ill can you explain?"
"I have a bad cough sometimes I even cough up blood. My chest gets tight really badly it feels almost if I am having a heart attack. Also, I am always throwing up my food, but the food I always ate was garbage though"
Sakura sweetly smiled Akane, "Well, we will get some scans of your lungs and listen to them tomorrow. I'll order one of my nurses to get you some medicine for that cough and some nice warm food for you and Kato."
"Thank you so much"
"We won't let anything happen to you Akane. Get your rest, we'll be back tomorrow for more information. I have to head back to the towers." Kakashi wished Akane a farewell before he walked out of the door.
Sakura walked over to Kato squishing his cheeks. "I'll take your blood tomorrow since you're enjoying your ice cream." Kato blushed and tried to hide into Sasuke's armpit. Sasuke placed the child on the chair next to him handing him his chips.
"Well Akane we'll be on our way please get some rest." The duo was about to leave when little Kato stopped them.
"Wait! Can I please stay with you guys!"
Akane gasped, "Kato don't be so rude you're abusing their hospitality."
"Sorry Kaa-san"
Sakura chuckled. "Not tonight we're going to attend a friend's party tonight but tomorrow I promise you can stay."
"Wow! Thank you Sakura-san."
"You're welcome, Kato."
Sakura hugged him before she walked outside with the rest. "So we're about to go party our asses off right?" Naruto asked, wrapping his arms around Sakura's shoulders.
"As much as I don't want to, I have to be there for Choji or else Ino will kick my ass," Shikamaru grumbled.
"Well, that means we have 2 hours to get ready so see ya guys at the lake." Naruto glanced at his two best friends before walking off with the love of his life.
"Yeah, I should spend some time with the wife and kid before we leave." Shikamaru rolled his eyes pulling out a cigarette. He thought about lighting it but decided not to since Ino would murder him for smelling like smoke around Shikadai.
